"Good evening, everyone, I'm Walter Krankheit of RBNNN. Today, Generalissimo J.L. announced several new reforms that have stirred great controversy, galvanized friends and foes alike, and divided the nation almost evenly. There are no middle-of-the-roaders on this one; half the nation is uproariously supportive of his proposals, and the other half is less than thrilled. Let us briefly go over some of his reforms:

1.)The outlawing of all methods of torture
2.)The transition to a constitutional monarchy (although he will still use the title 'Generalissimo'); J.L. will now be mostly a ceremonial, figurehead ruler, with only limited political powers ("This way, I'll get to rule forever, without actually ruling," he said jokingly in a recent interview)
3.)The repeal of all remaining laws which censure political opponents
4.)The release, rehabilitation, and reimbursement of 'political criminals'
5.)The abolition of the secret police force

We honestly hope JL sees the folly in these reforms. The people must not be given right to decide for themselves, since the people are often too ignorant to see the necessity that absoulte monarchy and the decisions a monarch makes benefits society. One man ruling a nation is that which most pleases Ahura Mazda, the wise lord of heaven.

The International Confederation of The Island of Rose applauds this move by J.L. We would like to recommend the title of Grand Emporer J.L. on... J.L., but it is his choice to make. I would also like to give my personal thanks from one world leader to another for the reforms. To tell you the truth, this came right out of the blue. This is the Official Statment from Ra, Lord of the Goa'uld:

Your pathetic reforms have undermined the character of your nation. Your so called "positive" reforms will leave you with nothing but Kek (TELEGRAM NOTE: Kek is Goa'uld for "Weakness" and "Death" it can also be used to mean "Fire!" in the context of a firing line.).

I was once considering using your assasination services as well as possibly giving you better, more advanced assasination tecniques. But, your nation's foolish actions have caused the Goa'uld to refuse all diplomatic and trade agreements with your government.

We congratulate the government of Generalissimo J.L. for their positive steps toward needed reforms for their people. We also warn Goa-uld that any attempts to initiate any military action against our friends in Roach-Busters will be met with harsh consequences.

We hope these reforms take hold as permanent fixtures in Roach-Busterian society.
