As of three weeks ago production of the Piledriver class Planetbuster weapons platform has ceased indefinitly. The ship, which is quite powerful, is also rather expensive.
Generaly a PD takes nearly fifty years to fully complete, a 'stripped' version can be finished in ten, but these are basicaly ten mile long targets.
At the current estimate there are eighteen Piledrivers in service throughout the Galaxy, eight of which are in service with other nations, and four of which are currently retired and in use for civilian purposes.
And, of course, the final one.
As the last model, several changes have been made. Mostly its just tweaking.
To top it off, we will happily paint the ship in your national colours (or a colour of your choice), provide a full compliment of fighters AND include a FREE captains chair with built-in beverage holder.

The GC-8000 Sunbuster:
Doesnt actually destroy suns :p
This basicaly charges for a while, then releases the energy in multiple directions in a 60 degree cone in front of the ship. Its a very good anti-ship weapon, and works quite well against planets.
GC-5500 Planetbuster:
Does, in fact, blow up planets.
These are modified GC-5000 Planetbuster lasers with less focused beams more suitable for anti-capitol ship work. They still work on planets, and while they wont blow them up, they will do some pretty bad damage.
Ripper 'MIG':
Acts as both point-defence and anti-fighter weapon. MIG= Multiple Independant Gun. Each unit consists of four dual cannons and two missile/rocket projectors. All the guns are capable of independant tracking. When manned by a computer they are extremly effective anti-missile weapons.
Fighters:
Drone fighters are VERY small, basicaly they swarm targets and pick them apart. Other than that they arent good in dogfights by themselves, since the AI isnt hugely intelligent, basicaly theyre 'Cannon fodder'.
The human fighters listed are just what DGNT uses with its military ships, your fighters may or may not pack as well.
