New Government Elections in RK 2005

Random Kingdom
17-12-2004, 12:10
OOC: Stuff the RP'd elections. They're a waste of time and a pain to program. Also, the candidates' positions are just ignored.
Today marks the beginning of the new government in Random Kingdom, after years of political uncertainty. Electing the RK government is a quite difficult thing to process, so the rules of election are:

There will be 3 candidates for each position.
Each voter can vote for one candidate for each section.
The candidate with the highest vote count in their sector wins the place.
The second highest becomes reserve.
The third gets a place on the board of 64 senators (OOC: these are rarely mentioned)

I don't have time to post candidates and a poll right now, but I'll be back sooner or later with a list.

OOC NOTE: As the maximum poll option count is only 10, polls will be done in waves of 3. There is about 9 positions this year with 3 to a position - this means 3 topics, which would probably come under the header of flooding.
Is there another way to do this?

ICish: The people running for ministership this time all have conflicting opinions, usually two extremes and a compromise. This should keep things simple.
Candidates this year are:

ECONOMY SECTOR

Ankar Sisto- born in the third year of Random Kingdom's existence. Promises to cap economical growth to divert governmental attention to civil and political issues. Has a low-level qualification in business study and accounting.

Don Cantinoche- worked as a launderer for the powerful Andreas Syndicate for some time before coming clean and betraying his family. Would keep economical growth as it is.

Prudence Brown- worked as an accountant for 10 years and has much experience. Would place the economy at the top of the government agenda.

DIPLOMACY SECTOR

Eluid Smith- head of the RKIP (Random Kingdom Independance Petition) which plans to end ties between RK and the LWA, and has made quite a fortune writing books on the subject. Would force RK to become independant and remote, and possibly moved out of the mainland of The Golden Hills.

Adam Elmeieand- Albeit having a very confusing last name, there is nothing special about this candidate. Would keep diplomacy as it is.

Mark Turner- Studied in university for a brief time. Would extend diplomacy.

More to come.
