The Infantry
17-12-2004, 10:33
The Infantry was formed on December 16th 2004 when members of the American military who were disgruntled about thier treatment and the handling of the war in Iraq, rose up and gained there indepence after 4 long months of battle. Upon gaing control of many assets and command of all US. Infantry, the new government slaughtered all suspected terroists and insurgents and destroyed millions of tons in illegal weapons explosives and and munitons.
Also destroyed were vast stockpiles of Sarin, Mustard Gas, and Anthrax as well as a small amount of enriched uranium-235 , which was found in underground bunkers. The locations of the bunkers were only revealed after intese tourture.

The military of The Infantry consists only of Infantry and a few support vehicles. There has been talk of including fixed and rotary winged aircraft as well as heavy vehicles, but these issues will not be decided upon until well after the end of the year.

The Infantry is led by General Sam Huston III, he is the only 6 star General that there is.

The capital of the Infantry is Fort Benning, Georgia which has expanded to encompass large parts of Columbus, GA and Phenix City, AL.

Military Numbers
8.3 Million Infantrymen
20 Million SupportPersonnel
1,508 Naval Crewmen/Officers

Military Hardware
The Infantry annouced recently its all new comprehensive weapons replacement program. For reasons of logistics and lethality, all weapons using 9mm, 5.56mm, 7.62mm and 40mm ammuniton will be withdrawn from service.
Two new rounds (and two old but good ones) will be the only types of ammuniton the infantry of the Infantry will use.

Chosen to replace the 5.56mm NATO round is the new Remington 6.8mm SPC cartridge.
We have converted all M-4A1 and M-16A2-A4 rifles to the new 6.8mm.

The Infantry has replaced the 40mm M203 grenade launcher with the M-71 which uses the same 25mm round as the M307(see below)

We have decided that the new 40 pound M-312 .50 cal machine gun will replace BOTH the M240B 7.62mm and M-2 .50 cal machine guns in our arsenal
Although, where logical the M-2 will remain in service (vehicle mounts, stationary defenses)

The Mk19 grenade machine gun will be replaced by the 25mm M307 Cannon/Airbursting Weapon System. The M307 is almost exactly the same as the M312 and they can be changed from one to the other as fast as the barrel/chamber can be switched out. This saves training time and maintaince/repair, due to the parts commonality and simmilarites between the two weapons systems.

National Anthem:
The preacher man say's it's the end of time
The Mississippi river, she's going dry
The interest is up, and the stock market's down
You only get mugged if you go down town
I live back in the woods you see,
My woman, my kids, and my dogs, and me
I got a shotgun, and a rifle, and a 4 wheel drive
A Country boy can survive
And a Country boy can survive
See, i can plow a field all day long
I can catch catfish, from dusk till dawn
We make our own whisky, and our own smoke too
Aint too many things these ole boys cant do, no
We grow good ole tomatoes, make homemade wine
A Country boy can survive
I had a good friend in New York city
He never called me Buck, he called me hillbilly
My grandpa taught me how to live off this land
His taught him to be a businessman
He used to send me pictures of the Broadway night
I'd send him some of that homemade wine
But he was killed by a man with a switchblade knife
For 43 dollars, my friend lost his life
I wanna spit some beechnut in the dudes eyes
Shoot him with my mother fuckin' 45
And a Country boy can survive
Cause you cant starve us out, cant make me run
Hey there boy, i got a big shotgun
We say grace, and we say Mam
If you aint into that, we don't give a God damn
A country boy can survive
Cause you cant starve us out, cant make us run
Hey there boy, I got a big shotgun
We say grace, and we say M'am
If you Ain't into that, we don't give a God damn
Were from North California, and South Alabama
And little towns all around this land
Well i can skin a buck, and run a trout line
A Country boy can survive
Well a Country boy can survive
Survive

OOC:
Very cool stuff

you shouldn't go to war against most NS nations any time soon, due to the fact that you will be butchered by the elements of the military which is non-exsistent in yours and plentiful in others
