Sharina begins researching and building Exo-Suits.
The Technocracy of Sharina has issued the following directive:
All ground troops must be outfitted with the next generation armor, to provide them with a much needed boost in the constantly evolving world of warfare. Sharina's military needs to maintain its equal footing in a world with genetically modified soldiers, massive multi-million man armies, and insane dictators who employ unconventional warfare including nuclear, biological, and chemical warfare at the drop of a hat.
To this end, Project GUARDIAN is now commencing. This project will provide Sharina infantry with a substantial boost in protection and firepower, which will allow Sharina to keep itself on equal footing.
There will be two classes of armor that will be developed. The Vadonica Body Armor and the Kariana Exo-Suit.
The Vadonica will provide all conventional infantry forces with enhanced protection aganist projectile weapons and provide much needed infantry nuclear / biological / chemical (NBC) protection.
The Kariana Exo-Suit will provide infantry forces with a heavy assault type of body armor, with built in weapons systems. The Kariana will provide enhanced mobile anti-infantry capability, and enable infantry to become more effective aganist tanks and armored targets.

OOC: Design two looks the most reasonable and workable in the exo-suit, and on the armor all designs *could* work, depending on materials used.

Work has been well underway in developing an weapons system for the Kariana Exo-Suit. Three types of weapons have been under development.
Weapon Type One:
Brasha Rocket Cannon.
The Exo-Suit will carry three Rocket Cannon barrels, as each Brasha barrel / cannon will carry four rocket rounds each. The Rocket Cannon is mounted alongside the right arm / side of the Exo-Suit as can be evidenced in the photograph.
The Rocket Cannon is capable of firing armor piercing rocket rounds approximately 4 inches wide and 12 inches long.
The Metalstorm technology is used to reduce the chance of jamming, misfirings, primer explosions, and so forth while reducing load times. In addition, Metalstorm technology will reduce the likehood of rounds exploding inside the Exo-Suit in combat conditions. The Metalstorm assisted rocket rounds is projected to be approximately 35% more effective than conventional rocket rounds.
This will provide the Exo-Suit the capacity to square off aganist armored targets, finally providing common infantry the ability to survive combat aganist tanks, APC's, and anti-infantry guns for the first time with a good rate of survivability. Previously, infantry had been able to fight armored targets with anti-armor weapons, but had little to no survivability in an direct battle with armored targets.
Weapon Type Two:
Marac GatlingStorm Cannon.

The Kariana Exo-Suit will employ two GatlingStorm Cannons on its right arm. The cannon employs Metalstorm technology to reduce strain, overheating, and increase available space for additional rounds of ammo.
The gatling cannons will employ 20mm rounds, to provide sufficient power to tear up conventional Kevlar armor, cripple non-armored vehicles, and capable of stopping APC's with armor up to 40mm - 50mm thick.
The Exo-Suit is capable of holding thousands of 20mm rounds in its ammo storage module on its side and rear, under the power compartment.
Weapon Type Three:
Hupalina High Velocity Railgun.

(The Hupalina is based off a similiar design in this picture, but is larger and more bulky to accomdate higher velocity and powerful rounds. Success in developing the Hupalina has resulted into developing an Infantry version, which is depicted in the picture above.)
The Railgun employs a hybrid of Metalstorm and COIL assisted firing solution. The Metalstorm technology is applied to the actual rounds, increasing available space and reducing load times, while providing reduction in dangers of jamming and misfirings.
The COIL aspect allows higher velocity projectiles at a greater range. The Railgun is used to attack targets out of range of the GatlingStorm Cannon, or attack medium armored targets which employ between 40mm to 80mm of armor.
It has been reported that the Hupalina is capable of firing projectiles at 16,000 meters per second.***
The Railgun is also capable of firing on aircraft due to its extended range and extreme high speed velocity of the Railgun rounds. The Railgun finally provides Sharina infantry with the capacity to fight back aganist heliocopters and aircraft.

That's the next problem I'll be addressing. I wanted to RP the development of weapons to give a good idea what my Exo-Suit can do.
Rocket Launchers and Gatling Cannons mounted on the Exo-Suit will not require "power" or "juice". The railgun and hydraulics will use power though, and I'm researching portable power sources to provide the needed power.
The Rocket Launcher and Gatling Cannon is Modern Tech / Post-Modern tech level, as we already have rockets and gatling guns. There are small rail-guns operational, in houses and such for science purposes today, as well as large ones mounted on ships or tracks.
However, if billions of dollars are poured into research into miniaturizing and improving power consumption of the rail guns today instead of nuclear weapons or other stuff, as well as trillions of dollars available for defense funding in my nation, it would be feasible to have miniaturized railguns that can be used for infantry. The railguns will be about 2 meters long on the exo-suit (including the arm) that would fire rounds the size of standard gun bullets (10mm - 20mm rounds).
I gotta look into a few potential power sources.
The regular non-weapon body armor, the Vadonica, will be easier to design as they don't employ built in weapons or extensive hydraulics systems. I'm getting the hard stuff out of the way first. :)
