In the depths of space..... an energies swell, followed shortly by the tearing open of space; the apature of a massive wormhole emerges from nothingness.... Within a short period of time, a massive, 3.06km long, 1.2km wide, 650 meters in height, haze-grey vessel emerges, about 35.2 million Metric Tons in mass... Along it's port and starboard fore it bears the name TRSS Kali, and again along its massive port and starboard pylons, along with BSGX-16... Behind her, a smaller vessel, 1.6km in length, 700 meters wide, and 380 meters in height; about 18.5 million metric tons in mass is in escourt, it bears the name and markings, TRSS Anubis, BSG-9; The Kali is putting out a massive energy signature.... which moments later dies to a trickle... followed very shortly by the distabilization and smashing closed of the wormhole behind it.

---Bridge of the TRSS Kali---

"Commander Clarke, any response yet from the Tiamat?" asks the vessels Commanding Officer, Vice Admiral DuPuy.

"No sir," responds Lieutenant Commander Clarke, the Kali's communications officer...

"Ok then, prepare to sweep this sector... Signal the Anubis to begin sector sweep, OPS scanners to full..." commands VADM DuPuy...

"Aye sir," responds Commander Williamson...

The TRSS Kali and TRSS Anubis' high power long range scanner go online, sweeping for Neutronium, Duranium and NQ readings in hopes of finding wreckage or anything in relation to the Tiamat's haul...

"Ma'am, we've just picked up a jump signature in the direct center of Omega Sector, Quadrant IV," Karl Greens, one of the Scanner Technicians, reported to his commanding officer, Karen Jennings.

"Hmm...Sargeant Thomas' ship is the fastest scout... What do you think, Karl?" Karen's style was to consult her technicians, particularly Karl, before making any major decisions. This was part of what won loyalty from her troops.

"I think the Sargeant's men were more than ready for another mission last night, ma'am."

"Very well, request that he come meet me."

"Yes, ma'am."

---

Sargeant Thomas stepped through the parting alloy doors as the tone signifying his arrival at the bridge sounded.

"You wanted to see me, ma'am?" his voice, though on the low side, was still very smooth.

"Yes, Sargeant. What would you say to a scouting mission?"

"Well, ma'am, you know I can't refuse an invitation." Thomas and the Admiral's relationship transcended that of a soldier and his commander, though it never crossed into the romantic area and never would.

"Yes, I suppose I do. Which is probably why I prepared my briefing in advance."

"My men will be happy to have some action."

"Good. Now, we picked up a jump signature in Omega, quadrant IV," Karen slipped seamlessly from an informal conversation into a formal one.

"Really...? How large of a ship?"

"Two ships, actually, of unknown size, mass, and intent...The only thing we know about them is that they're here. Your job is to find out everything else."

"Alright... I'm assuming we have a Comm Station in that quadrant I can use to contact you?"

"Negative, it was damaged by a comet when it drifted out of proper alignment. But, fortunately, R&D has a new comm system ready for field testing, and you're going to do that as well. Understood?"

"Yes, ma'am," the Sargeant replied.

"Leave as soon as you can get your men equipped, Sargeant. You're dismissed."

Sargeant Peter Thomas saluted, turned on his heel, and walked back into the elevator tube.

Onboard the 'Kurricker'.....

It headed toward a bearing of another ship, the TRSS Anubis. Following it at a steady speed. Jabbles and such were heard between crews. It was Dizu (language) of the Duztikki land. They were talking of what these ships were doing here. Should they report it? Should they arm systems just in case?

They chose to arm the systems but didn't 'paint' anything. They perpared for war basically, warming up all crafts and emergency pods and fighter crafts. Deploying three from the large carrier, that was mighty slow at some times.

As they moved out and another 2 fighter crafts, making the final count at five, they perpared. Opening a open channel with the TRSS Anubis. It was slightly encrypted. When they could get the offer, it was obviously in Dizu. A hard to translate language.

The captain of the said ship, 'Tutik Suztik' was sitting in the Helm. Raising the selected security rating to level 3. More guards in full armor walked around the hallways. Their staffs ready to fire at any time. Some of them carrying small weaponary that would emit a small electrical charge to kill or stun.

They were ready. Tutik waited. Talking to his other comrades. His voice could not be heard even when the message would be accepted until he pressed on a button.

He then looked at the Team Leader for crafts and ordered that two scouts be released and zoom ahead to that planet to investigate the orbital path of it. This might be interesting and yet at the same time, it might be disturbing. They kept up their speed and their security.

Hoping, that they would not need to destroy some ships today.

"Sir," says LT Jones, the ships Comms officer.... "Incomming communication, garbled, the computer is crunching on it now....."

"Ops, anything on scanners?" asks RADM Dewey.

"Hard to tell, I'm picking up sporatic energy readings.... whoever it is, is trying to keep their profile low..." says LCDR Best.

"Ok.... Com, raise the Kali, tell them we have unknown possible hostiles.... Situation and numbers are unknown at this time..." commands RADM Dewey, "Set condition 2, raise shields, deploy armor, but do not, I repeat, do not power weapons yet...."

---Bridge of the KSF A-Class Scout Frigate X-14 "Silence"---

"Well, looks like we have another ship, then..." Sargeant Thomas was looking intently at the Master Scanning Display, which had recently picked up another ship of unknown classification or purpose. "Power up the Cloaking Field, I'd rather not be seen prematurely. Plus, that will give us an advantage if it comes to combat."

One of the technicians pushed four buttons in quick succession, and the frigate melted away into space.

"Cloaking Field is operating at 84% efficiency, sir," the tech said after consulting one of his moniters.

"Only 84? I'll have to get one of those lazy maintenance boys to come out here and fix that when we're finished. Well, let's move a bit closer and see what we can see, boys."

The medium-sized scout engaged the thrusters in Silent mode, reducing their speed to a crawl but generating no noise and extremely low energy. Meanwhile a three small dishes extended from the head of the ship in a triangular shape, and upon extending, they shifted in order to listen in on any communications that were being sent or recieved by either ship.

"Aye Commander," responds RADM Dewey, then turns to the comm officer, "Advise the Kali, tell them there is definitely some sort of interest in our presence here, Lieutenant Jones."

--- Bridge of the TRSS Kali ---

"Message from the Anubis,Admiral." says LCDR Clarke. "They report possible presence of one or more cloaked vessels, and an appearant increase in activity. Though they have yet to see anythign solid."

"Ok, Commander Clarke" responds VADM DuPuy, "Advise the Anubis we are powering up the Kraskinov, and will be at her position shortly... We've already lost the Tiamat on this expedition, we don't need any other ships disappearing." then he turns to OPS, "Commander Williamson, you been holding a solution for the Anubis' position?"

"Yes sir, been updating it every 15 minutes," responds CDR Williamson.

"Good, engage the Kraskinov, prepare for insertion...." command VADM DuPuy.

Rak'Nor looked upon the terrible face of his god, Apophis.

Apophis sat in his throne, a golden chair with depictions of Goa'ulds slithering up and down it. It seemed less like the snakes were part of the chair, and more like the snakes were a part of Aphophis himself; the serpants slithering around and through him, and yet staying still. To either side of the throne were two torches burning, illuminating the throne and the wall behind it eerily. The wall behind Apophis was made of gold as well. Its' numerous depictions and heiroglyphs showed many things: stories prasing Apophis, tales scorning Apophis' enemies, and even reports of various incantations that Apophis had used against his enemies. Then, there was Apophis himself. He sat cold, collected, and imposing. He wore long flowing robes that reached the floor, glittering with a golden hint to them and his traditional golden skull cap, which adorned his head. His right hand was fastened with his Ribbon Weapon, a terrible device which, as Rak'Nor thought, amplified his divine power. His black eyes bore down into Rak'Nor as he looked at him, holding ancient secrets deep within their darkened hearts. As Rak'Nor kneeled, Apophis' eyes glowed in a slow flash of energy. Rak'Nor looked into his eyes and saw nothing but ancient evil.

If Rak'Nor had been any weaker a man, he would have fled rather than face his God.

But, Rak'Nor stood fast, his voice faltering as he said, "M...my lord, Apophis. I bring news."

Apophis continued to sit upright. He spoke to Rak'Nor, his voice echoing slightly as all Goa'ulds' do.

"What news do you bring to your god?"

"My lord," Rak'Nor said, his brow laiden with sweat, his black Serpant tatooe on his forhead glistening in the torchlight, "We have lost contact with the leader of the Har'tak battlegroup. They...they went down in a previously unexplored sector. They were hunting down the last of Ra's Ha'Ror raiding party, and then we simply lost contact with them."

Apophis did not look pleased. Rak'Nor was panicing. He had seen what happened to other Jaffa when they displeased their God.

Apophis leaned forewards, his eyes glowing as he did so.

"And who is their Jaffa Battlemaster?" Apophis said, almost in a whisper. Rak'Nor was squirming under the boreing, deep, unblinking stare of Apophis.

"J...J..." Rak'Nor said, stuttering.

"KREE, JAFFA!" Apophis shouted suddenly, causing Rak'Nor to jump to his feet. It was obvious that Apophis was revaling in the fear he was causing Rak'Nor.

"JAFFA MASTER RYK'L!" Rak'Nor shouted, his voice cracking as he did so. Then, he added hastily, "...my lord," and knelt again.

Apophis stood up now, the light from the torches shifting light and shadow over his features. His eyes glowed, breaking through the half-shadow that encompased his face. Rak'Nor could not look at his God like this, for he could see his eyes. Apophis was angry.

"KREE, JAFFA!!" Apophis shouted in a harsh bark, "Bring Ryk'L to me!"

Two Serpent Guard soldiers left the room, their armor clashing as they marched down the hall.

"KREE, JAFFA!!" Apophis shouted agian in his commanding bark, "Take us to the last known location of the Deathglider."

A Jaffa with a serpent tatooe on his head bowed slightly, saying, "As you will my master." He walked over to a small set of controls about 20 meters in front of Apophis' throne. He pressed some buttons, and held on an orange half-orb.

The wall opposite the throne, once just a wall of heiroglyphs, began to rise. It was a blast door, and the full extend of where the throne room was could be seen.

They were on board a Ha'Tak Mothership. One of many in service of Apophis. Around them were many other Ha'Taks, servicing the various ships that had been victorious in the recent fight against Ra. The Jaffa at the controls began to move his hand across the orange half-spheres. The ship began to move, but the passengers were un-affected by the sudden movement, the Ha'Tak's inertial dampeners working quite well. The Jaffa pushed a few more buttons, and moved both hands over the orange half-spheres again, moving them away from his body.

Now there was a lurch, as the Ship propelled itself forwards. They had entered hyperspace, and all around the ship they could see swirling blue and white bands of energy.

A few minutes later, the sounds of the Serpent Guards armor could be heard. It slowly approached, growing louder and louder. Finally, the Guards had reached the throne room, holding Ryk'L between them. The Guards threw Ryk'L to the floor, at the feet of Apophis. Rak'Nor looked on in terror, knowing what was going to happen.

"My lord..." Ryk'L said, holding his side. He was old, even for a Jaffa, at least 110 in Earth terms. He was truggling to get his words out before Apophis, "my lord, what is the pro-"

"SHEL KREE, JAFFA!" Apophis said, his eyes glowing as he did so. "You know why I have sent for you! I told you not to persue those fighters!! You disobaid your God!"

"My lord," Ryk'L said, standing a little, "those fighters would have reached Ra's fleet, and they would have told them where our position was. I could not allow them to do t-"

But his words were cut off by Apophis, raising his right hand and activating the Ribbon Device. A red ribbon of energy erupted forth, creating what looked like a shockwave in the air. Ryk'L flew back 30 meters, crashing into the see-through screen that showed the chaos of hyperspace around the ship.

Apophis began to aproach Ryk'L, who was half sitting, half stoopering. He was bleeding from the mouth and head, and one of his bones might have been broken.

"And now your decision to persue those ships has lost me a valuable piolet!" Apophis said, raising his hand once again, "They must have encountered the reminants of the fleet, and were destroyed by a Ha'Tak. And it is all your fault."

Apophis came closer to him now, and with his hand raised a red ribbon once agian erupted: this time it shot a shifting ribbon beam onto the head of Ryk'L. Ryk'L began to spasm uncontrollably, the ribbon obviously affecting his brain's electrical signals. Rak'Nor shielded his eyes; Ryk'L had been a friend and teacher of his.

Just when it seemed as though Ryk'L would die, Apophis stoped the ribbon device. Ryk'L was breathing heavily, his nose bleeding uncontrolably. He was sitting in a small pool of blood. Only his symbiote could save him now.

Apophis leaned down very close to Ryk'L, and whispered loudly into his ear so that the rest of the room could hear it, "You have been showing disturbing signs as of late. You have been defying my orders. You cannot survive another night."

Then, with lightning speed, Apophis rammed his hand into Ryk'L's symbiote pouch. Ryk'L, who had been silent even through the torture of the ribbon, screamed in agony when Apophis did this. As Apophis pulled his hand out, Ryk'L's Goa'uld symbiote was in his hand. Apophis grinned sadisticly, before throwing the Goa'uld down onto the ground and destroying him with his ribbon device.

He turned to Ryk'L and said, "And now, you die. In the worse way a Jaffa can die: the destruction of your prim'tah. Your insides will slowly be poisoned without your prim'tah."

Apophis turned to look at Rak'Nor, and pointed a finger at him.
"You!" Apophis said, his eyes glowing, "I know you were friends with this shol'vah. Tell him to bow before me and I will make his death quicker."

Rak'Nor scurried over, and bent down besides his master's head.

"Rak...Rak'nor," Ryk'L said, his eyes filled with paternal warmth, "It was an honor to train you."
"Master Ryk'L," Rak'nor said, holding his tears back as he did so, "You must listen to what he says. You must beg for your God's forgiveness."
Ryk'L's face became suddenly hard, he looked with hatred at Apophis and shouted, "I WILL NOT BOW DOWN TO FALSE GODS!!"

Apophis was alit with anger. He raced over and hit him over and over agian with his ribbon device's shockwave blast. Over and over, again and again, smashing Ryk'L into a corner of the room.

When it was over, Ryk'L was nothing more than a crumpled man, holding onto his small thread of life.

He turned to Rak'Nor, his eyes glazing over with death. He whispered a faint whisper:

"I die...free..."

It was then he died.

Apophis looked upon the dead Ryk'L with hatred and disgust, while Rak'Nor looked on with horror. He wanted to touch Ryk'L, to hold him and weep. But he knew he could not.

Apophis barked, gleefully: "KREE, JAFFA! When shall we arive!?"

"Within the hour, sir." the Jaffa said.

"Excelent." Apophis said, returning to his throne.

The energy signature on the TRSS Kali dies, followed rapidly by the smashing closed of the massive wormhole behind her....... A wormhole, not too much different than the Stargate, but lacking any apearant stargate to form it....

If one could look deep into the hulls of this massive SCV's, one would find a spired ring, not that much unlike a stargate, made of the same materials... An early scientist had postulated what the Tekanians made reality... Dr. Kraskinov, formulation and control of wormhole technologies, and the technology still exists with his name on it, in rememberance, The Kraskinov Tube; an artificial wormhole...

When the Tekanians first set to space, and found the Naquadah on their second moon, they realized its potential. Other ideas of space flight were abandoned, instead, they built their own early forms of "stargates" in their home galaxy... Overtime, they realized its potential more, and began building massive drive units.... effective stargates, but with no need for direct dial systems, no need of external aparatus, and large enough to move entire fleets... They took, then, to the full exploration of their own galaxy, and then, with time, even further, as larger, more powerful Kraskinov Generators were built.... Projecting their explorative and inquisitive self, deep into the uncharted realms of the Galactic Superclusters...

It was in their travels, that their snag hit... Not inherantly aggressive, they ran into many races bent on conquer and domination.... Many an Exploration was terminated by the war-lords that peppered the many systems and galaxies... Though, the highly analytical minds of the Tekanians adapted well to combat and defense, weapons and defense technologies soared... Phased Particle Cannons, Phaser's and many forms of explosive ordinance developed, harnessing anti-matter/matter reactions, zero-point quantum explosives, deflection shield technology, and even incorporating metalugical composites and nanite technology to form regenerative armor.... literally neutronium/deuterium plating capable of being grown, and even to a limited extent, recharged around their massive exploratory vessels.... The development of ground assault ships, Auroras; and fighter units, Wasps.

The TRSS Kali, is a prime example of present, up-to-date, Tekanian technologies... over 3 kilometers in length, almost 1 and 1/2 kilometers wide, and 650 meters in height, with a full mass of over 35 million metric tons... housing almost 8000 crew members, more than 2000 fighters and assault vehicles, and single stage wormhole generation accross more than 30 million light years.... She is a beast... Capable of almost instantaneous travel accross entire Galactic Clusters, and spending almost a decade, unsupported, in space on exploration missions.

"We shall be ariving in 30 seconds, my lord." the Jaffa at theh controls said.

"Good." Apophis said, whiping the blood off of his boots, for he had stepped in Ryk'L's blood as he headed back to his throne.

Rak'Nor was still standing, dazed, horrified, looking at the place where Ryk'L's last breath had been taken. By this time, some Jaffa had come and cleaned up the body of Ryk'L. They would publically announce that Ryk'L had spoke ill of his God, and therefore was denied eternal life after death. Rak'Nor kept on going over what Ryk'L had said before he died...

"I die free." What does that mean!? Rak'Nor thought, looking deeply into the floor where Ryk'L had died...as though he was hoping that the black-ivory floors would suddenly spill out some great meaning or prophecy. But they did not, and he continued to brood.

"We arive in five seconds," the Jaffa said, his hands on the orange half-spheres now turning towards his body, "Five...four...three...two...one. Exiting hyperspace."

From the outside, it looked like a giant purple and white cloud of gas had erupted from a flash of cosmic light. In a mater of seconds, Apophis' Ha'Tak had exited the wormhole. A few seconds later, two other Ha'Tak motherships, which had been following Apophis in case there was heavy resistance, exited and flew alongside their ruler. They were in orbit above a rather large planet, and they were not alone.

"My lord, we are detecting several ship in the vacinity!" the Jaffa said, moving his hands quickly over the controls, "Three ships in close proximity of each other at a course of 23.130.14. They seem to have a hyperspace wake behind them...they must have recently jumped in. Sensors are also picking up a solitary ship at a course of 23.40.190. They too have a hyperspace wake behind them."

"Ah, these must be the ships of Ra," Apophis said, grinning slightly, for he knew that four damaged Ha'Tak motherships were no match for three fully-operational ones.

"My lord, they are not Ra's ships!" the Jaffa said, looking once again at the controls, "The three ships have different configurations from the solitary ship, but I don't recognize their chassis or configuration, my lord."

"Prepare all weapons, and scramble our Deathgliders. We must be ready to attack." Apophis said, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Get me a comunication frequency, now."

The Jaffa complied, and soon Apophis was standing up in a God-like pose. His eyes glowing, and his face once again a frightening play of light and shadow.

"I am the God Apophis. We command you to leave this world. We have claimed it as our own, rightfully taken from the God Ra. If you do not leave, the Goa'uld will open fire!"

"Just past this planet; and so we begin our search in this area. An analysis of the debris field has revealed nothing of Chronosian origin; save for the smallest particles; implying a disaster in the skies, and a plummit somewhere....But whether it was to here, or they limped to another world; we will not know without examination, shall we?"

He smirked. "You seem a warrior people....Powerful, arrogant and bold. Perhaps an exchange could be arranged....What technology of use do you have?"

"Lieutenant Commander Clarke..... open a channel" commands VADM DuPuy.

"Aye sir." says LCDR Clarke.

This is Vice Admiral DuPuy, commanding officer of the T.R.S.S. Kali. We are an exploratory vessel of the Tekanian Stellar Navy. We are on a peaceful mission searching for one of our missing ships, the TRSS Tiamat.... I repeat, we are on a peaceful mission.

"Sir, more ships exiting hyperspace....." shouts Commander Williamson.

"Readings?" responds VADM DuPuy.

"Three ships, about alittle under 700 meters in length... They appear to be charging weapons...." CDR Williamson says.

"Raise them, Mr. Clarke...." shouts VADM DuPuy....

I am Vice Admiral DuPuy, commanding officer of the TRSS Kali.... We are explorers... We have no desire to be drawn into conflict with you, please power down your weapon systems, and hold station, or we will be forced to defend ourselves...

"Charge the weapons......" commands VADM DuPuy.... Prepare Wasps for launch....

Weapons turrents come online.... the Kali and Anubis' weapons come alive.... Turrents on the Kali and Anubis tracking onto the new vessels, but hold off firing.... On the Launch decks, pilots begin entering their fighters, and then lowered into the Launch Tubes...... 50 on the Kali, and 26 on the Anubis.... with other Fighters prepping behind them....

"We are indeed a strong people," Apophis said, his eyes glowing, "too strong for you. We shall share none of our secrets. I posses magic beyond your comprehension, for I am a God!"

"My lord, the other three ships have sent a transmission." the Jaffa at the controls said.

I am Vice Admiral DuPuy, commanding officer of the TRSS Kali.... We are explorers... We have no desire to be drawn into conflict with you, please power down your weapon systems, and hold station, or we will be forced to defend ourselves...

Apophis looked into the giant orb transmitting his image.

"Why don't we deal with these ones first, then we can talk about rescuing your men."

Apophis ended the transmission, and turned to his Jaffa. "Kree, Jaffa! scan the debris field for any evidence of a Deathglider's reminants."

"Yes, my lord." the Jaffa said, working furiously with the controls.

"Admiral Dewey, suggestions?" says VADM DuPuy on the Kali.

"Perhapse if we can get these other ships to pool resources; they all are appearantly equally missing ships and personnel... There could be some related situation. It seems unlikely to have three different civilizations out here looking for someone... And there not to be some sort of related circumstance: I mean, what are the chances of three different civilizations all missing ships in the same are of this galaxy?" remarks RADM Dewey.

"Good call Admiral," says VADM DuPuy.

--- * ---

This is Vice Admiral DuPuy aboard the Tekanian Republic Stellar Ship Kali. After speaking with my comrade on the TRSS Anubis, we have agreed it seems unlikely that all three of our peoples have lost a vessel and/or personnel in this area of this galaxy, and it not related. I suggest, and offer, that we pool our resources in looking for our missing people....

"Power down weapons, and drop the armor. Leave shields up.... tell the Anubis to do the same, as a show of faith." commands VADM DuPuy...

The weapon-systems on the the TRSS Kali and TRSS Anubis power down, and the regenerative armor, covering their hulls "shrink away" just as they had grown... almost like magic (of course, this "magic" is nothing more than nanite technology, building and tearing down raw Neutronium/Duranium alloy, held in storage inside the vessels... but the effect is almost magical).

The Anubis pulls back, and the Kali slowly approaches the vessels Apophis, the Kali, her massive bulk casting a shadow across the relatively smaller Goa'Uld motherships.... about 6 times longer, and twice as wide... VADM DuPuy, pops up on the screens, with his blue skin, and ruby-red eyes, waiting patiently for a response...

"My lord," the Jaffa at the controls said, "they are much larger than us. I do not believe our three ships could destroy them."

"SHELL KREE, JAFFA!" Apophis roared, his eyes glowing. Apophis sat in his chair, resting his head with his pointed fingers on his chin, deep in thought. He then suddenly looked up: he had an idea.

"KREE, JAFFA!" Apophis barked, "Use the Chappa-Eye. Communicate with the remainder of our fleet: they should have the gate secured by now. I want a message to be sent through. Is that understood!?"

"Yes, my lord." the Jaffa at the controls said, "should I send the mesage through the Chappa-Eye?"
"No, let Klorel do it. The fleet will not listen to a Jaffa."

The Jaffa at the controls called forth for Klorel. Soon, a young man with sausage hair came to greet Apophis. He wore long, sweeping golden robes, encrusted with jewels around the hems. He bowed before Apophis, his eyes glowing as he did so.

He was a Goa'uld.

"Father Apophis," Klorel said, his voice echoing like all Goa'uld's do, "what do you wish?"
"Klorel, my son," Apophis said, handing him a communication device, "give this message to the fleet. Tell them to await my signal in hyperspace."
"Yes, father." Klorel said, his eyes glowing. Klorel left the room.

"KREE, JAFFA!" Apophis shouted, causing the Jaffa at the controls to jump. "Open a frequency."

The Jaffa did so, and Apophis stood up so he could be seen by the comunication device.

"The Goa'uld do not wish for any conflict. We shall power down our weapons. But first, we must release our energy from our Hyperdrive. It should only take a moment." Apophis stepped away from the communication orb and spoke to the Jaffa, "Power down the weapons the same instant Klorel goes through the Chappa-Eye."

"Yes, my lord."

Meanwhile, in a deck far below in the Ha'Tak, Klorel stood before the Chappa-Eye. It was a large ring, with numerous symbols surrounding it. Before it was a small, circular black device. It had symbols that matched the ones on the Chappa-Eye, all surrounding a large red half-orb located in the center. Klorel began to push the buttons, as he did so a cheveron on the Chappa-eye, for which there were eight, glowed as the Chappa-Eye spun so the corresponding symbol went to the corresponding cheveron. Finally, after plugging in seven symbols, the Chappa-Eye gave an enormous lurch. A giant gush of, what looked like water, flew ten meters in fron of it, only to fall back to form a wormhole. Klorel stood up to it and stepped through, laughing as he did so. A few minutes after he had left, the wormhole closed. Klorel was no longer on the Ha'Tak. He was 28 million light years away, on the world where Apophis' fleet loomed overhead.

"Kraskinov? Is the Anubis...." VADM DuPuy begins to say....

"No sir, I am picking up the signature from inside that alien vessel...." Commander Williamson interupts. "The Anubis is still holding station."

"Hyper-space my ass, they are up to something.... Any idea on type?" VADM DuPuy asks...

"Energy readings are marginal... It's likely old gate technology... Someone else appearantly also has access and know how, at least rudimentary, of wormhole technologies...." the Commander remarks.

"XO, recommendations?" VADM DuPuy asks, turning to a man sitting next to him.

"Well, It's likely thay they don't know we know that much; I wouldn't throw all our cards on the table;" remarks Commodore O'Rork, "but we could drop some hints.... show off a few cards..."

"Agreed..... open the channel again..." VADM DuPuy orders....

Apophis had to think fast. They had gotten wind of his plan, that was obvious.
They must have a Chappa-Eye. Apophis thought, his mind racing.

It came to him.

Apophis ordered that another channel be opened, and he transmitted his signal, beaming with open arms as he said, "What you call "Kraskinov" technology is not what it seems. Our hyperspace opens a wormhole to enter hyperspace. Whenever a ship as large as ours needs to exit hyperspace, we occasionally get a buildup of energy from hyperspace into our reactor! We don't know how, but that's what always happens!" Apophis chuckled in front of the transmitting device, his eyes glowing, "So, we need to open a small window in hyperspace and chuck the reactor out! Otherwise it would have exploded and destroyed all of us! Your invitation for technology sharing is intreguing. The Goa'uld would love to engage in trade at some time!"

He shut the communications off.

"Jaffa, get ready to send the transmission on my command."

"Now, now XO...." VADM DuPuy said in a lowered tone..... Then he turns to Commander Williamson, "Ops, set coordinated for outside the system, and engage the Kraskinov.... Rather than tell them we know better, we will show them..... And open a channel...."

"Well, this is how we move our ships through space, my friend...." VADM DuPuy says into the communicator.
----

Within moments their was a sharp spike in power, 10,000 meters off the TRSS Kali's starboard side, an energy spike penetrates from space..... and in a surprise, a wormhole opens.... where there is no gate.... large.... almost 10 kilometers in diameter.... It holds open for about 10 minutes.... the the Kali's signature dies again, and the wormhole colapses....

"My lord," the Jaffa at the controls said, "it is like they opened a Chappa-Eye without actually using one!"

Apophis sat there, thinking. They knew what he said wasn't true. He thought of something else. Something better.

"KREE, JAFFA!!! Open a channel," Apophis shouted.

Apophis stood up, his golden robes glistening as he did so.

"We appologize, Great Ones of Kali." he had a slight bow as he did so, his eyes glowing, "But we had to make sure we could trust you first. We opened our Chappa-Eye, what you call "Kraskinov" technology, in order to recieve a tranmission about the status of our fleet. We recieved the transmission, but we were unable to send an adequate response...being busy with you. And we were not able to send any personel through, as it was an incoming Chappa-Eye and not an out-going Chappa-Eye. We appologize for our deception. But now, we see you know of our technology and know what we have done. We realize you can be trusted. Alow us to come aboard your ship so we may pool our resources and help one-another."

The connection was closed. Apophis looked at the Jaffa.

"I have a plan." Apophis said, his eyes glowing menacingly.

OOC: Dude, I really DO have a plan. One that will tie into the other thread as well. Don't worry, it won't hurt your ships or anything. It's just a good idea...

After receipt of the message, the VADM DuPuy sat in contemplation.... 'Makes sense' he thought, 'we use such a concept ourself in the KTLOS transmission scheme. It would make sense that another race, in possession of Kraskinov technology, would develope so as well. Their course of advancement in this technology, would be on par with Tekanian levels of K-tube understanding and levels from more than a century ago; given their relaiance on a gate for wormhole formation.... which would place it near the time of KTLOS development.....' shaking it off, he signals LCDR Clarke to open the channel again.

"Understood, Goa'Uld vessel. We do employ similar communications schemes for closed tactical channels. And given the level of aggressive posturing present amongst civilizations in this nation, we can see why it would be employed more. We appologize for concern, but it was suspect activity from our point of view, as we generally only employ such strategy in combat situations." VADM DuPuy remarks, "At any case, we offer the combination of our forces, for the location of our missing people. We are only explorers, as stated before, and our home system lies in a completely seperate galaxy; and we lack all interest in involvement, or aquiring territories in this galaxy. As such, I issue standing orders that no Tekanian Marine will land upon any planet, and place myself, the TRSS Kali and TRSS Anubis at your disposal, assuming that you assist in the location of ours and your vessel, for the duration of this search expidition, with the assurance, that all Tekanian presence shall be removed from your Goa'Uld galactic territories, upon completion of this mission. And shall further, if provided with a full territorial map of your region of space, request standing orders to bar exploration in the future, by vessels of this Republic, in response to any possible non-aggression pact that may be issued between our peoples... The TRSS Kali and TRSS Anubis will stand by for further orders....."

"Very good!" Apophis said, his smile evident, "We shall like to talk to you in person. Say...somewhere on your ship!? We shall come un-armed, of course, in an effort for our people to understand eachother!"

Apophis closed the channel and called the Jaffa at the controls over.

"KREE, JAFFA!!"
"What is it, my lord?"
"Take this."

Apophis pulled out a device that was a small cylendar with a blue gem on it.

"Place this in some compartment of no importance. Some derilect part of the ship."
"My lord," the Jaffa said, his face contorted with thought, "This is a Ring device controler."
"Exactly." Apophis said, his eyes glowing, "When the fools allow us on board, we shall plant this. Then, when our soldiers are ready, we can ring-in our forces on-board."
