Silently, the massive 2km long warship rode through the warp. The warp was used as a means of faster than light travel, the only up side, the down side was deep and dark. The warp.. is where the Demons of Chaos lurked. Forever their homes until summoned into a corperal body, or directly summoned into the 'normal' dimension.

From a door a short stout man walking onto the bridge. He now looked out the window into the warp, just hoping for the ride to be over. He had been humiliated infront of his screw, an entire battlefleet, and an entire enemy battlefleet. The man was Lt. Asagai, formally Admiral Asagai. He had nuked a world, destroying civilian cities and people. And now he was on his way home, to face punishment... or he was.

The ship known as the Unity came to a sudden and abrupt stop, throwing Asagai two feet forward, and other bridge crewmen and officers out of thier seats, sprawling on the ground. All the blood in Asagai's face drained from it.

"Status report! Why have we stopped in the warp?!"

"Jah jah sir,I dont know." nervously replied the tactical officer, with a seemingly german accent.

"Some one check the psyker! See what is holding him up!"

"Jah volt! connecting... oh no... sir, I am getting no life signs from the navigator..."

"What?! Open a channel to Brother-captain Dagath, now!" "Opened sir"

"Brother-captain, this is Asagai, we have stopped IN THE WARP, You are the closest to the navigator, check him!" half yelled Asagai.

Through the com crackled, a stern firm commanding voice, "In the warp? I will check the navigator myself." and then he broke connection.

In the deep dark depths of the ship is where the warp navigator, and a small force of ten Grey Knights were placed. The Grey Knights, like other space marines, preffered to be secluded from other humans, rather so they could meditate in peace.

The brother-captain walked through the depths of the ship towards where the navigator navigated the ship through the warp. As usuall, the brother-captain walked around in his armor. His armor was like that of other space marines, but with a few major differences. His armor, and the armor of other Grey Knights were much older than any other space marine armor, ancient armor it was. Another major detail, the armor was very ornate, various trinkets meant to ward off demons, and a peice of parchment, again to ward off demons.

Finally he got to where the Navigator sat, incased in a tube full of other electronics and other unexplainable items. To the brother-captains horror, what he saw frightened him, ever so slightly. On one side of the tube, there were many pistol rounds shot into it. The brother-captain opened the hatch leading to the psyker... the psyker was dead. full of bloody holes.

"Brother-captain here... the navigator is dead.."

Everyone on the bridge froze, in horror. Some preyed, some broke down... what were they going to do now?

Things stirred in the warp; inhuman crawling things that hissed and spat at humanity in its ship. Through the endless chaos of the Empyrean came a ship; its hull dawbed with runes and dark sigils....A ship of Chaos itself.
"An Imperial ship..."
"Destroy it; prepare to board; what say you my lord?"
The Captain hissed through blackened teeth.
"Make ready the Uruks, we move to board."

"Shit! shit! shit! A ship! marked with the 8-pointed star! Chaos ship detected, off port side! Asagai, what are you going to do?!" half-yelled the tactical officer, voice all a-tremble.

The pale faced captain turned grimly towards the tactical officer and said quietly, "Activate point defence systems, helm: turns us towards the chaos ship, charge Ion cannons, activate the projectile cannons"

Without respondint the ship acted upon the orders. The two barrel slung under the Unity began to sparl and glow, charging ions. The ship made its turn towards the chaos abomination of a ship. But what was the point? They were in the warp, without a navigator, they would not be able to exit the warp.

The Ship turned and did not fire; but boarding began to pour from it; riding the currents of the warp as they slammed into the side of the ship, and waited. Soon weapons fire broke the monotony as warp cannons opened fire; towards the engines and bridge....
The hull was still silent; till the sound of many explosions shattered the void and the hull rocked with impact after impact...
Whump....
Whump....
Whump...
Almost as to the beating of a heart....but still the pods sat silent, was it some trick; some diversion..They would know soon

"Weapons fire! Boarding pods! oh shit we're so screwed!"

"Open a com to the Grey Knights, tell them to suit up, inform the rest of the crew, prepare to repel boarders." Asagai turned away from everyone and mumbled "like any normal crewman could ever stop a demon."

"I-I-Ion cannons 74%... 75-" A massive explosion rocked the ship. Just as the chaos weapon fire started to rain down upon the sheilds of the Unity, a massive explosion happened right under the bow, where the ion cannons used to be. That whole section of the ship was now gone, the first 1/10 of the ship. Crewmen were sucked out into the warp, some being quickly corrupted, others just ripped apart by various warp creatures.

"Sir! Ion cannons gone! What is going on sir?! First the psyker dies, now the ion cannons?! What is happening sir?!"

More shockwaves buffeted the ship, as boarding pod charges broke through the 2m of durasteel armor, and the constant shelling from the chaos ship. Asagai merely looked out the window, not seeming to care anymore...

In the depths of the ship, far away from the turmoil, the Grey Knights suited up. They grabbed thier helmets and attachted them, snatching various weapons. There were 10 Grey Knights, 8 in the 'normal' power armor, and 2 in Grey Knight Terminator Armor. 5 normal Knights had standard bolter guns, 2 had plasma guns, and one with a flame thrower. Brother-captain Daggath, in the normal armor, took up a bolter rifle, but already slung to his back, was a grand hammer, the head nearly the size of him, and the shaft almost as tall as him. Good thing the Unity's halls were wide. The Terminators attatcked claw weapons to thier hands, and grabbed two gattling bolter cannons. They Grey Knights were ready, and now they left thier sanctum to take on the demon threat.

The Uruks sprung their trap; leaping from the pods and slamming mighty double bladed scimitars into the nearest warm bodies. Blood flowed for the blood god; skulls were cleaved from the skull throne; but these were no daemons....But the focussed magic of a Daemonic art. Men and Orcs crafted by vilest sorcery; and now they were here; Berserkers, first line of the attack.
Roaring in Anger, the beasts made their way forward; as the attack continued.
One man found himself impaled on a scimitar and hurled, coughing and choking on his blood as the Uruks rampaged on; bolter shells annointed their flesh, and it only made them crave death and destruction more; as these ultimate warriors of Khorne, bearing their battle scars as sacrifice; fought on.

Crewmen died right and left. Most just ran away from the chaos, others stayed to fight, and died quickly.

The Grey Knights were still far from the fight, but not too far.

Asagai continued to stare out the window, seemingly lost in the warp, even though the bridge crew called to him for orders.

The Demon controlled Uruk were now not far from the bridge...

The Uruks were at the Bridge doors; hammering and screeching in black and forbidden tongues. They moved back and a Commander strode amongst them; eyes narrowed slits burning with fires untold in mortal realms. They were then power, the might, the fist of Chronosia. It reached to its belt and pulled free a sharp ended grenade and pounded it into the door; leaving it half imbedded as he moved from it; and suddenly the explosion rocked the ship, and the Berserkers roared in bloody heat. They would cleanse, they would triumph...

Asagai heard the explosion, heard his men being slaughtered, but did not react until finally turning to face the Uruk.

He kneeled and kept his head low, but said loudly, "I have done what your masters have commanded, I have brought you one of the champions among our fleet."

He lead Uruk moved forward and cackled at Azaha; saliva spattering over him.
"Excellent; you have given us the ship; the Knights of the Inquisition....Lord Marcus will be pleased." It kneeled, grasping the man by the chin and lifitng him off the floor, leaning in.
"Do you now wish for your reward, Traitor-Brethern?"

Asagai grinned widely and replied, half-gasping for air, "Yes great one, even if it only means becoming a vessel for a demon, I would be honored..."

The Grey Knights were in full stride now, hearing that the bridge was breeched, they had to save Asagai, no matter the cost...

The Uruk cackled and withdrew a smaller knife; dragging it across the skin of the mans chest; chanting all the while as his rough lines became an eight pointed star, flanked with runes.
"Now, you will have your reward...." He hissed; the ship shaking. "Do you believe in the powers? Do you embrace Chaos? TAKE HIM NOW! THIS VESSEL! THIS BELIEVER!"

The Grey Knights faultered a bit as the ship began to shake and tremble. As they came barreling around a corner, the sight of Uruk struck them. The normal Grey Knights edged back behind the corner for cover, thier bolters chattering weapoon fire. The Terminators on the other hand walked out from the cover and unleashed thier gattling bolter cannons.

"Take them down quickly, we MUST reach the bridge, I feel they may be summoning a demon."

Berserkers hurled themselves at the new enemy; carign not for their own safety; knowing that from where the blood flows matters little to Khorne. They roared their bestial warcries as normal Uruks held the corridors leading to the bridge; scimitars meeting power swords; bolter shells filling the air with smoke and blood. This was their element; War for which they had been created.
The Commander turned from the supplicant daemonhost; having just finished carving runes and sigils into his face; half blinding him....Soon he would know rapture and rage. The Uruk chuckled. The Ship outside was rounding on them; readying for the end in this grand guignol. Already his Uruks had placed the victims in various sacrifical positions; etching runes about the bridge in blood; carving them into walls or bodies and cackling all the while....
He looked to the doors. The Grey Knights cometh, and Psykers one and all...When they were done he would force one of them to navigate this diseased craft back to real space; and leave it as a marker for all to see; that Chaos fears not an Empire of Zealots and martyrs"

The terminates now had resorted to useing thier steel claws to cleave, slice, and slash the enemy. The Terminator's thick armor could easily withstand the bolter fire and steel weapons of the enemy.

The normal Knights weren't so well armored though, true thier armor could take a beating, but nothing compared to the terminators. They removed thier nemesis force weapons and started to block, cleave, slice, block, slice.

Brother-captain Dagath removed his grand hammer, and let fly. He swung and smashed, crushed, and mashed enemies. One unlucky uruk was strike directly in the head, crushing his skull.

Many resorted to desperate measures in the face of their zealous enemy; withdrawing the same spiked grenades as their leader and either charging their enemy in blind suicide attacks; plunging the grenades into their foes armor, which burned unto the purity of the sun, or attacking the hull itself.
In these tumultuous moments, many Uruks found themselves sucked out into the warp, as the hull ruptured around them...

The Grey Knights franticly tried to remove the grenades from thier armor, and threw them away. The Hull ruptured, sucking many uruk right out into the warp. Even the Grey Knights were susespect to the vacuum. All of them held thier ground and ran across the other side of the breech, but one Knight was not so lucky. He was sucked out into the warp, swallowed by the insidoes creatures quickly. It was not an honorable way to die, but his sacrafice would scar the rest of the knights...

The Uruks had fell back in droves; and left things to their commander; who still duabed runes about the room; chanting in his black tongue. The Daemonhost gibbered and whined behind him, too far gone in madness and pain; yet ripe and willing. The symbols began to glow as the uruks roared in triumph; invigorated by this new devlopment, as they hurled grenades down the corridors and laid down suppressing bolter fire....
The ritual had begun; and soon they would triumph.
The low hum of power and chants was broken by the screech of the daemonhost; betrayer of the ship, as he screamed in an arcane tongue that his mind did not recognise, nor did his body summon...
It had begun...

The Grey Knights fought through more Uruk, exchanging fire, and hit after hit. Finally, the Grey Knights retreated some, only to make room for the flame thrower, he ran up fast, and let loose his rain of incinerating fire.

The Grey Knight with the incinerator started to walk slowly forwards, letting loose short blasts of fire. The rest of the Grey Knights walked behind him, unleashing thier hail of boltergun fire and plasma fire.

"Move aside..." Daggath half-whispered.

The icinerator stopped his bursts, and the other Grey Knights ceased to fire. The horde of Uruks came screeching at them, before Daggath stepped up.

"By the Emporer's name, burn demons, burn!"

Daggath thrusted his hand out, hammer in other hand. Forth from his hand came a fire hotter than the core of stars. The wall of fire sped towards the targets, ingulfing the whole hall with its inferno, firing directly at the mass of uruk in the hall.

The Uruks knew pain divine and then nopthing at all as the Holocaust tore through them; rending flesh from bone and all to ashes. The Leader stepped forward and chuckled.
"Hail and well met Lord of the Inquisition! Worthy are our foes this day...."
Sometihng mumbled, moanign and shambling behind him.
"Asagai would like to say hello"
The thing stumbled forward; puckered mouths protruding from its flesh, taint seeping from it, from the infernal runes along its body. The Daemon thing screeched and a psychic shockwave rocked the corridor; durasteel buckled in one itself; the lights flickered and crackled. The things eyes opened and blazed with the impure fire of the Immaterium.
"I think he likes you..." The Uruk muttered, turning as the daemon moved forward unsteadily...

The Grey Knights stumbled backwards alittle as the demon let out its bellow.

"Take the abomination down!" Yelled Daggath.

The entire squad let loose thier hail of lead, plasma, and fire. The two terminators spun thier gattling barrels and let loose thier torrent.

"Do not let the abomination live, tear it to shreds!"

Knight after Knight were pummled backwards. The Knights had ceased fire now, and instead taking out thier melee weapons.

"Do you hear it Grey Knight? The gods are restless...They cry out for blood" Behind him the main viewscreen showed the vast expanse of the dark and terrible Empyrean, the Immaterium that beckoned with traitorous whispers.

Daggath's eyes grew wide, as he was instantly incinerated by the massive fire ball. The rest of the Knights were engulfed aswell, and died quickly, for thier emporer. There was one lucky one though, one lucky Grey Knight Terminator who had jumped behind a bulkhead. On the ground he lay, his back armor all but gone, his skin charred and burned black, but he was still alive.

Heavy footfalls thudded along the corridor as heavily armed space marines, loyal to Tzeentch grabbed the injured marine and lifted him; only for him to be caught by the throat; his eyes looking straight into the visage of a Sorcerer; its eyes burning with warp fire, windows to dark soul.
"You will serve well; little one."
The Knight was dragged through the depths of the ship; forced into the chair of the dead navigator; the smell of death all around him; the words of the Sorceror, black and hypnotic echoed in his mind.
"Return....Tell them their doom is nigh....Tell them, even as you burn with my fire.....Tell them.....TELL THEM"

In the confinement of the psyker navigational seat, the Knight was going crazy with corruption in his head.

He kept repeating in his mind, 'The Emporer's will is my sheild, the Emporer's will is my weapon, the Emporer's will is my life, my power.' He repeated these phrases until finally he uttered "For the Dark Gods..."

He took control of the massive ship, and sent it careening out of the warp, finally ending up not far from the Azaha system.

The massive ship lingered, finally attracting attention. Several frigates came along side the shattered and battered battleship. They docked with the scarred ship and sent troops aboard, to only find the massacer that had occured in the warp. Finally they found the near dead Knight. They brought him on one of the frigates and took him down to Azaha IV... the Ordo Malleus planet of operations in the system.
