The Panzerwerks Tank & Armored Vehicle Company of North Germania has unveiled its new anti-tank vehicle.

Dubbed the "Predator Tank Destroyer", it is armed with an upgraded version of the LOSAT missile system.

The new system is GPS guided, along with a new technology which allows the LOSAT gunner to aim the missile mid-flight. To describe further, the missile can either operate under a GPS-guided system, or the mid-flight missile control system mentioned prior. A retractable 8" cover (made of the same armor compound as the vehicle armor) protects the LOSAT gunner from enemy fire, shrapnel, etc.

The updated LOSAT missile itself has been altered in several ways:

1. The tip of the missile has been shaped into a pointed, incredibly dense, hard, sharp head made of Depleted Uranium, giving the missile an extra ability to pierce armor and thus destroy its target.

2. The overall explosive power of the missile has been increased by 25%, giving it a further success rate.

Specifics on the Predator Tank Destroyer:

A new armor developed by North Germania: a Depleted Uranium(55%)/Strengthened Titanium (35%)/Lead (10%) compound is used. The Lead in the new armor gives added radiation protection to the crew of the vehicle, as well as minor armor strengthening. The compound has been dubbed "Compound 9 Armor".

412mm of this new, highly resilient compound makes the Predator very difficult to destroy.

A 1,650 horsepower diesel-run engine.

A maximum speed of 58.5 miles per hour; 94.1 kilometers per hour.

Weight: 43 tons

Crew: 4

Armament:

1 Upgraded LOSAT Missile Launcher

(25 total missile carrying capacity)

1 15.5 x 115mm four-barreled anti-aircraft/anti-infantry gun

Smoke grenade (12 total grenades) launcher

Maximum LOSAT Missile range: 2.5 miles; 4 kilometers

Predator operating range: 265 miles; 426.5 kilometers

The Tenarius Royal Cavalry at this time has no need for this piece of military equipment, however the Royal Queen's Guard has expressed minor interest. There are a few things they would like to know about the Predator before they make a decision:

4. How well does it operate in stormy conditions? (rain, wind, etc.)

As we could use some tank killers in our escalating Civil War, we deem it necessary to procure some of these vehicles. 2. How well does it operate in arctic conditions? A: North Germania encounters severe low temperatures in the Winter. It can function in temperatures as low as -25 degrees Fahrenheit.

3. How well does it deal with Urban Combat? A: As part of North Germania's Armored Schultzpolizei Divisions, it deals with Urban Combat superbly. It takes a lot more than an RPG to destroy it. In fact, tests proved that it could withstand an average of 5 tank shell hits before destruction or disablement.

4. How well does it operate in stormy conditions? (rain, wind, etc.) A: Operates very well in snow, rain, wind, storms, but not in desert climates.

It's a bit cheap isn't it? An Abrams costs 4,000,000 - 5,000,000 jsut to make, and this has yet another semi-FT uber armour setup.

The Cottish Army is in need of upgrading their anti tank capability, and therefore wish to purchase 600 Predators x $2.5 million each = $1,500 million not including the discount. With discount (50% because of first 10 purchases) = $750 million dollars.

OOC: TOW missiles operate with a hollow-charge, shaped-charge, or HEAT (pick whichever you like most) style-warhead. Therefore armoring the missile for impact would not help you because the warhead is optimized to explode a fair distance away from the target, allowing time for the jet of hot gasses to form properly. Aside of that, nice job.

IC: The USSS must decline this fine vehicle, while admiring its better traits, for our doctrine of superior mobility and simplicity better suits the deployment of anti-tank missiles from man-portable and light all-terrain vehicles rather, relying upon speed and range for protection instead of heavy armor.

The Queen's Royal Guard of the Tenarius Royal Military Forces requests a purchase of 120 of these for a Heavy Urban Anti-Tank Battalion. The total cost is estimated at $300 million, and the money will be wired upon confirmation of the sale.

OOC: Another thing to note is the low speed of the TOW missile (1/8 that of a good APFSDS), which means that even if you give it a penetrating tip, it lacks the mass and velocity to do anything with it.

Also, there are a few things to consider with the tank:
400mm of armor is tank-level protection. Tank-level protection means tank-level weight and close to tank-level cost. In other words, if it has that much protection, it should weigh about 40 tons, and cost probably twice as much. The Jaguar 1 had armor 50mm of armor. The Jaguar 2 had a little more, but not that much (maybe 70mm). These vehicles weight 25 tons. You don't find vehcles below 40 tons with 400mm of armor protection. If you mean 400mm of actual armor plating on all sides, well, then you can double that weight easy.

If this has the armor of a Jaguar 2, you can get away with that cost. Otherwise, double or triple it.

There is no indication of ammunition stowage. That is very important, as I doubt this goes around with only 1 shot.

Jaguar design isn't the best choice. That vehicle was designed for defensive engagements from concealed positions. In the open, or in urban combat, the fact that the gunner has to expose himself makes it extremely easy to counter (put sniper in tree and laugh).

OOC: A main battle tank is a combat vehicle of ~40 tons or more that maintains a fully rotating turret and a cannon optimized for line-of-sight engagements. Though a distinction is often made between medium (40-50 tons) and heavy (50+ tons) tanks. However:
1) If it does not have a rotating turret, it's an assault gun.
2) If it's gun is optimized for BVR engagement, it's self-propelled artillery.
3) If it's armed with ATGMs only, it's a tank destroyer.
4) If it's armed with lighter guns for engaging aircraft, it's a self-propelled antiaircraft gun (aka air defense tank)

My Associates and at the Ministry of Defense would like to purchase 150 units, for use in each of our three Armored Divisions. The total cost will be 975 million USD.

The Cottish army has tested the tank destroyer, and are most satisfied. We wonder wether we can aquire limited prodution rights so that we can produce more of these vehicles for our army, which realized after the recent war against Belarus that they need a better and more capable tank destroyer then the old ones.

The Great Sixth Reich will pay any reasonable price for LIMITED Production Rights.
