M27 Lightweight Modular Assault Weapon System (LMAWS)

The M27 is a result of years of testing various weapons designs. Doomingsland Defence Industries has finnaly come up with a design that suits the military. The M27 is based around the XM8 design, and uses 40% compatable parts, making the switch over to this new weapon all the easier. It is made in a lightweight bullpup design, as to provide maximum accuracy in a smaller length weapon, and succeeds in providing excelent accuracy and reliability.

The M27 Lightweight Modular Assualt Weapon System is a gas operated 5.56mm bullpup assault rifle with a synthetic stock. Like the XM8, the M27 is capable of switching over to varients, such as the automatic rifle varient, which sports a 50 round drum magazine and heavy 25 inch barrel, and bipod; the submachinegun/carbine varient, which uses a shorter, 16 inch barrel; or the marskman version, which uses a 25 inch presision barrel. Another version of the weapon, the M27 Designated Marksman Weapon, is chambered for the 7.62x51mm NATO round, and sports a 10x scope and 20 round magazine, making it an excelent platoon marksman weapons, or even a sniper weapon. The latest version, the M27 Personal Defence Weapon (PDW) has a shortened, 12 inch barrel, making for an extremely compact weapon, only 20 inches long, excelent for concealment. This latest varient is entering service in the Doomingsland Diplomatic Protection Service, and various branches of the Inquisition. The base model is also available with iron sights only, but includes weaver rails for mounting a scope.

The base model (shown in the picture), has a 6x illuminated red dot sight, and a 20 inch barrel. This weapon is fully compatable with all VEPR systems, as well. All models have flash suppresor.

Accessories for this weapon include bayonet, gun camera, laser sight, flashlight, nightvision scope, sound suppresor (silencer), MasterKey under-barrel two round shotgun, and the XM320 40mm grenade launcher.

M27A1 Lightweight Modular Assault Weapon System (LMAWS)

The M27A1 is the latest development to the M27 family of weapons. This latest model includes a 2-round burst function. The two-round burst works by fireing the rounds at a very high rate of fire, 1200 rpm, thereby making it seem as if one bullet was fired, but two were. This allows for a trained marksman to put two rounds through the same hole at 100 meters. This function means that with a single pull of the trigger, a kill is almost assured (provided you can hit the target in a lethal area). Other than this function, the weapon is exactly the same.

This latest model is fully compatable with all old part kits, allowing shooters that posses the older models to continue to use the same parts to convert the weapon to its varients.

ooc: little hint for making frankenstien weapons like that after you put the pieces together its a good idea to grayscale it, to make it look more uniform since each gun part usually has a diffrent color pallet

Range is a bit unrealistic. 5.56x45mm begins to tumble and whatnot at 150m, especially if it goes through foliage, etc. 450m stated on modern assault rifles is moreso from tests in perfect conditions, than actual combat.

Nothing to do with effective range. Effective range is where the round has a 50% hitting a target that it is fired at. 5.56 loses that capability rapidly after 150 meters. Just because people can hit a target at those ranges, doesn't make it its effectve range.

Also, the gun compared with the pictures, isnt 25 inches for the barrel. The regular XM8 is a 12 inch. Moving it to bullpup, and moving the barrel up as well, might reach 20 inches. A 25 inch barrel is insane, anyways. Adds to weight signifigantly, too.

The defense forces of Parthia have deemed this weapon as an excellent replacement for the XM-8 and would love to replace the weapons used by all branches of the military with the M-27. However, we feel that to replace a standard battle rifle for over 40,000,000 soldiers and 1,000,000 marines would be difficult to do with foreign designed weapons which would require new purchases of foreign parts constantly. With such in mind, we would like to enquire about the possiblity of accquring limited production rights to make these fine weapons for domestic use for our military only.

The first description I saw was "automatic rifle" version, I assumed that meant Assault Rifle. And yes, I know it is already a bullpup, i meant that he had done that, it feasibly could have gone up to about 20in.
