From reports to this news station, we are led to believe peacekeeping forces have been withdrawn from Shinbreakers' other military conquests, and are believed to have rejoined the main bulk of the armed forces in preparation for this fiercly contested action. It sounds to me like yet another case like Mandroc V....."

Today the world learns of yet another civil rights atrocity in Kzuu Mai. It has been reported by an as yet unidentified source that around thirty leading members of local religious groups have been detained indefinitely, with no reason was given for the arrests. In addition to these most recent events, the persecution of a minority population in the north of the country continues.

It has been suggested that the prisoners have been moved to the notorious Mai Jun City detention centre, which is rumoured to be host to regular executions of its detainees.

In response to this, and the earlier statement from the Shinbreakers Government, Secretary of Defence David Andersen has issued the following statement:

"The government of Free Eagles condemns the actions of Lii Dan Kzuu, the leader of Kzuu Mai, and demands the immediate release of all prisoners, political or otherwise, that are being held without charge or fair trial for their crimes. In addition, we expect a formal statement of apology issued and the persecution of all minority populations to cease. If these are not forthcoming, the Free Eaglean government will have no choice but to take military action."

Since this announcement, we have learned that several key military formations have begun mobilizing their units for transit to a location more suited for possible action against Kzuu Mai.

And now, back to today's other stories...

President Puller Lunphi sat back in his chair as the Secretary of State explained the situation him.
"Sir, with the repeated atrocities commited by the government in Kzuu Mai, we cannot justify our neutrality with our people. If we don't respond to this soon, the people will accuse you of being a Communist."
"Yes, Smides. I make the announcement to the Senate tomorrow. The Republic is going to prepare for the invasion of Kzuu Mai, if necessary."
"But, Mr. President, we will be condemned for warmongering by the UN. The armed forces aren't ready for an invasion of Kzuu Mai." said the Chief of Staff
"Doesn't democracy come before the UN, Burlon? Isn't what our great first president fought for mean anything?
"I guess so, Mr. President."
"I write my speech tonight and present it to the Senate in the morning."
"Yes, Mr. President" said a resounding chorus of voices.

"Citizens of the Republic, people of History lovers, Senators of our great nation: the world is gripped by a great evil: an evil known as Lii Dan Sun. He has been killing the innocents of Kzuu Mai for a long time. NO LONGER! The road ends HERE! The evil oppressor shall be stopped at ALL COSTS! The Armed Forces shall be mobilized! For liberty! "Ladies and gentlemen, in the past several days, the Holy Empire of Shinbreakers has made claims of corruption in Kzuu Mai, although that may be true, it truly is an act of warmongering for the nation of Shinbreakers to invade Kzuu Mai" said the president.

"The nation of History Lovers, aswell as the nation of Free Eagles have expressed support towards Shinbreakers claims. If troops enter Kzuu Mai, I am prepared to put my full support behind Kzuu Mai, and have many troops trained and ready for war if it comes to that" Mr.Mason continued.

"It scares me to think of what could happen if other nations like History Lovers and Free Eagles continue to show there support, nonetheless I urge you all to see this for what it truly is, an act of shameful warmongering."

"Good night, and may god bless the Imperial Death Machine of Anarchic Squirrels IV" and the President left the building for other business.

New Constantinople, New Anatolia

President Lunphi looked at parts of the overgrown foreign quarter, where construction was beginning for new emabassies with Free Eagles and Shinbreakers. He walked up to the old US embassy and read the plaque, about to be covered with weeds:
EMBASSY OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
ESTABLISHED JULY 4, 1872
ULYSSES S. GRANT, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES
JONAR SENPHI, ELECTED OF THE ELASMUS CONFEDERACY

The Chief of Staff walked up to the President, saying "Mr. President, we need the word to activate the army."
"You know what, Monrag?" said Lunphi, "you know why this embassy was abandoned? Because of the Japanese. After the invasion of the Confederacy, the embassy was shut down, and the old German embassy over there was refurbished, with that big swastika on top. We can never forget what the Japanese did to us. We cannot forget what happened when the SS took over. We must remember Delimar, hated though he was. How can we forget, with the great symbol of Communism sitting on top of our very palace? If we forget, we become inhuman. We have to fight for this. I keep trying to justify it in my mind. Innocent lives will surely be lost in this conflict, and is it necessary? I keep asking myself. The word is given"
"Thank you, Mr. President."

LATER THAT DAY, THE FOLLOWING TRANSMISSION WAS SENT TO SHINBREAKERS AND FREE EAGLES

Embassies are nearly finished. Our armed forces are almost ready. We only require permissions from some an autonomous section in our region, which is sure to be granted, and our navy, loaded with almost 40% of our army, including the much of the air force will be on the way to Kzuu Mai.

"It shall be done," The man then departed.

Prime Minister Brimstone watched on as he saw the headlines unfold. Even now he knew he had stuck his neck out too far. Naval Fleets had been sighted in the waters approaching Free Eagles. Why can't they just understand? He had to act, and fast. "Kyo!" he called to the young officer by the door.

"They what?!" roared Lii Dan Kzuu, slamming his fist on the heavy mahogany desk in front of him. "Corruption? Atrocities? Who do they think they are? I'll show 'em a real atrocity if they set foot in Kzuu Mai! How many are there?"

His personal assistant hastily consulted the memo he clutched in his bony hands.
"History Lovers. Shinbreakers. Free Eagles. Anarchic Squirrels, New Grunz, and Largent have declared their support for our cause."

"So we have allies? Ah, excellent. Get Ms. Hachi." The assistant scurried away to do his master's bidding, returning a few minutes later with Aedi Hachi, Kzuu Mai's newly-elected War Secretary.

"You have heard the reports, I assume, Aedi?" asked Kzuu as she entered the room.

"Look, I don't know the man, I have no idea what he's talk-"

"No, you idiot! Kzuu Mai's being invaded!"

"What? When? Where? Who? How? Why?" gabbled out the astonished minister.

"Yes, whatever, just tell me what state the army's in."

"Weeeeeeell...we could mobilise perhaps a sixth of the overall force by tomorrow...that's quite a lot of soldiers, but seen as its an allied attack it won't work all too well..."

"Air force? Navy? Tanks, or whatever?"

"Our real strength is in the foot soldiers. We have been developing the occaisional plane, but there aren't that many of them. We can have them supporting the foot soldiers, though, of course."

"OK. Get mobilising. I don't when they plan to attack, but it will hurt. Them."

Kzuu's assisstant hurried in. "Sir! Largent are already attacking Free Eagles!" Kzuu grabbed Hachi. "Get the navy ready. They need to support Largent...oh, and buy some new ships and planes while you're at it."

Lunphi yelled "I want word sent to Admiral Laretaday. Redivert the main battle fleet to Free Eagles. As soon as in range, launch all fighters. Remain in international waters unless the Largent fleet enters into Free Eagles water. Keep Largent from getting to Free Eagles!!!"

"I don't like this," announced Song-Wei Junn, Deputy Director of the RIA (Republic Intelligence Agency). "We've heard nothing from Kzuu Mai. It seems that they will not acceed to our requests. In addition to this, we have some troubling news. Director Foley, if you would explain..."

"Thank you, Director," George Foley, Director of Intelligence, said. He activated the projector mounted from the ceiling. Images of warships appeared, followed by images of tank laagers.
"As you can see, satellite imagery shows military activity in both the nation of Anarchic Squirrels 4 and that of Largent. Since the governments of these states have made no official statement, it is the opinion of my senior analysts that these nations will support Kzuu Mai, and may even attempt pre-emptive strikes against us."

"We cannot let this happen," exclaimed Cmdr-General Richard Carrington, CinC Air Forces, "We must show these corrupt nations that they must not protect a regime that treats its citizens as slaves. We must strike now!"

"Calm down, General. I agree that this cannot be tolerated, but an attack now would only convince them of their convictions," replied Cmdr-Gen. Amelia Sharpe, CinC Ground Forces. "I suggest we issue a statement urging them to back down. They cannot accuse us of false pretenses, the images have been all over world news for weeks," She paused.
"However, as things stand, it looks like hostilities are inevitable. I want to move my forces into place, put some others on stand-by and have Lazarus go to Stage 1."

SecDef Andersen nodded in agreement.

"That's a very dangerous move, General. Lazarus is our most classified project. If it is leaked that it is active, we will have problems," warned Dept. Director Junn, "Why not use your Commando teams?"

"Lazarus is more suited to this particular scenario. Move it to Stage 1. General Sharpe, move your forces. I want the armed forces on Level 3 Alert," ordered Secretary Andersen.

The Government of Free Eagles requests an explanation to the recent increase in military activity in your nation. The events between Free Eagles and Kzuu Mai are not related to your nation, nor do they threaten you in any way. Any attack made on our territory, citizens or military forces will be seen as an act of war, and an appropriate response will be made.
We request that you stand down your forces. Our aim is to liberate the citizens of Kzuu Mai from the oppression they have suffered for many years, not conquest. "Ensign! What the hell's going on over there?" thundered the captain.
They were on board the SRS Constellation, a US Kitty Hawk class Aircraft Carrier that formed the centre of the Navy's 3rd Fleet.

"Sir... I... I think we're under attack, Sir," stammered the ensign, "Falcon Four has picked up a fleet of naval vessels entering our waters. They're in battle formation. They report multiple unidentified contacts."

"Sound Battle Stations," bellowed the captain. A few seconds later a the battle siren echoed throughout the ship. "Get some fighters in the air. Contact Cararra Naval, Blackwood AFB, anyone. Get us some help out here."

It took fifty-seven seconds from the order being given for the first F-14 Tomcat to rocket off the flight deck, with three more right behind. A second flight of four were undergoing final preparations, and four more were being brought up from the hangar deck.

"Falcon Two reports multiple airborne contacts to the south-east, over eighty, range two hundred klicks. Soviet MiGs, multiple types, no ID yet," called the radar officer.

"Blackwood AFB is scrambling two squadrons of F-29s* and one of F-16s, Sir," the comms officer announced.

"Falcon Two has identified the MiGs, they're from History lovers!"

"What's going on, Captain?" he asked.

"Well, Sir, Third Fleet appears to be under attack. We have hostile vessels to the east, from Largent and possibly Anarchic Squirrels. Large fleet, no further information as yet," replied the Captain, "We have sixteen F-14s up, two Hawkeyes and three squadrons of fighters inbound from Blackwood AFB, west of us. Also, a surprise bonus, we have History lovers second fleet and 100 MiG-19s to our south-east. They're old fighters, but they'll do in a pinch."

"What's our battle readiness?" asked Caine.

"Good. All ships now on Red Alert, Cararra Naval has issued a Level 2 Alert, war warning, and we have more fighters ready to launch," explained the Captain.

"Launch them. Draft a message to History lovers and another to the hostile fleet."

"Sir, the Free Eagle fleet welcomes our assistance. We are preparing our ultra-sonic J-33 fighters to launch to help them."
"Good." stated Lunphi as he continued looking at the map of Free Eagles.

OOC: J-33s are ultra-fast fighters that can go many times past the speed of sound without too much fuel consumption. They are next generation aircraft, but have very light weapons, and their only true defense is surprise. From- The Holy Kingdom of Nocdi's government

The Holy Kingdom of Nocdi wishes to side itself with great coalition lead by Shinbreakers, Free Eagles and History Lovers. We feel that Kzuu Mai is a corrupted regime, and the land that they control needs to be liberated. Citizens of Nocdi are unsure if they should support or protest against this military action, but we hope that the video that surface, showing how Kzuu Mai's government slaughtered innocents, will give us the support from the citizens that we need.

-Side note, hopefully after this war the Holy Kingdom of Nocdi will receive trade benefits with the coalition...

OOC- pretty much, i'm siding with Free Eagles and them because i think we're going to win and after the war i'll receive trade benefits boosting my economy, so in a nut shell- I'm doing it for the money (I'm a capitalist paradise after all)

Also note that the video tape was invented by the Nocdian Government, and it probably doesn't portray accuratly how the Kzuu Mai government treats its people, its a military device designed to gain support from the citizens.

Hello, We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming to announce that the foreign power Kzuu Mai has been practicing genocide. This videotape found by the Nocdian government proves it… take a look

- Warning this video contains graphic violence and shouldn't be viewed by anyone under 13 years of age

The Screen is static, then turns the familiar greenish night vision. Kzuu Mai troops are seen running down the streets of a small village kicking down house doors and dragging out the occupants. One man decides we won’t be taken and tackles a Kzuu Mai soldier to the ground. 2 other soldiers rush over and pull the man off and execute him on the spot.

Women and children are being dragged down the street by they’re hair as they kick and scream. One particularly strong women breaks out of the hold and begins to run away, just be shot several times in the back by Kzuu Mai soldiers.

Once all of the populace of the village were gathered at the edge of town, the Kzuu Mai soldiers split them up into four groups, men 16 and older, women 16 and older, children between 2 and 16, and children younger than 2. The soldiers then burned the village to the ground

The Kzuu Mai soldiers then took all the infants and toddlers, tied bricks or heavy rocks to them, and threw them into the river to be drowned. The men franticly entered the water to save them, but were all shot and executed as they tried to save their drowning children. The women broke down and fell to the ground crying heavily. The children screamed as they saw the river turn red from the blood of they’re fathers. The Kzuu Mai soldiers then encircled the sobbing women and light them up with their gunfire in front of their kids. With all the parents’ dead, and the children traumatized, the soldiers left the children to fend for themselves, miles away from any other settlement… static…

Major cities in Nocdi
Mass numbers of citizens took to the streets demanding that the crisis in Kzuu Mai be resolved, and the people be liberated.

With the support of the people, the Nocdian military mobilizes.

The 2nd, and 3rd army groups are mobilized (2,000,000 men total… the 3rd army group are reservists with far less training), along with the 4th and 5th armored brigade, the 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th fleets (5th is my transportation fleet, and 6th is my submarine fleet, the 1st and 2nd fleets have 8 carriers total along with various other ships).

"Free Eagles and History Lovers are attacking Largent's fleet. I recommend we launch the navy, subs maybe, and some of the Kz-20s* and Kt-12s. They should do the job, right?"

"Grrrrrrr...I don't like these people. Not one bit. Launch the Kz-20s and Kts. And, just in case, start loading up some cargo planes with soldiers...oh, launch a coupl'a naval fleets. What we got there?"

"A small sub fleet, two naval fleets with two aircraft carriers in each - oh yeah, we can put some Kzs on those - those fleets have got ya basic cruisers, destroyers, battleships, whatever...then we got some choppers. Not many, but a bunch of Sealions we bought off Phoenix Dynamix."

"Launch those two fleets, the Kzs, the 'copters. Keep the subs on standby. Get the land army ready."

Hachi muttered a few words into her phone, and, on Kzuu Mai's coast, the army sprang into action. The ships echoed with orders and yells as the preparations were made for the assualt, and pilots hopped into planes as they were fueled. LDKz Yokavic, Kzuu Mai's largest carrier, sluggishly lumbered after the rest of its fleet, as the Kz-20s on board were still being fueled and equipped.

Kzuu turned to his aide. "D'you know if there are any Free Eaglians or History Loverians in Kzuu Mai?"

*OOC: OK, Kzuu-20s are fighter-bombers (bear with me, I don't know much about planes or weaponry) with pretty heavy armament and a relatively long range. However, they are quite slow and hard to handle. Kt-12s are fighters, very fast and agile, but very lightly armed and have a short range.

“Put him through,” ordered Zanatti. A pause, then, “Sir, about an hour ago, Cararra Naval Base received a transmission from the Constellation, informing them that the fleet may be under attack. Now…”

Andersen cut him off; “I know, Admiral. RIA Director Hayter just finished talking with me. I know you have allies in History Lovers 2nd Fleet and Air Force. Cloud cover is preventing satellite reconnaissance, so I just ordered General Wolfe to send in an Aurora to get you some intel. The President just upped the Alert to Level 1. As of fifteen minutes ago, we are unofficially at war. I think you should know, Lazarus has gone to Stage 2.”
There was a long pause, “Make your play, Admiral. You have your authority.”
The line went dead.

Aboard the SRS Constellation

“Admiral, Sir. Cararra Naval says that the Air Force have a recon mission going up. We’ll have intel on the enemy fleet soon. Also, CinCNav has issued clearance for any actions, Alert Level 1,” called the comms officer.

“Good. We need that intel before we make any moves at all,” mused Caine.

He now had all 24 of his F-14 Tomcats airborne, along with 8 F/A-18 Hornets and 2 Hawkeye radar aircraft. The Air Force had provided 24 F-29 Eagles and 12 F-16 Falcons, as well as 8 KC-10 tanker aircraft. In addition to this he had 108 History-Lovers MiG-19s.
The Air Force had informed him that more aircraft would soon be on their way. The might of Free Eagles air force would soon be apparent.

Aboard Pegasus-1, An RF-17A Aurora strategic reconnaissance aircraft.
35 feet above sea level, 2 klicks North of 3rd Fleet.

“Falcon Three, this is Pegasus One. Inbound towards hostile fleet for recon. Over,” the pilot told the radar controller.

“Pegasus One, Falcon Three. You are now approaching the edge of enemy sensor range. Jaybird Seven is in position for refuel. Start your run. Mother is watching,” the controller replied.

“Send Her my love.” With that the pilot pushed his throttle to full burner. Within seconds the aircraft had accelerated up to over Mach 2 and was headed towards the enemy fleet.

The pilot held his breath. If he screwed this up, he would be in very small pieces scattered for about a kilometre ahead. The fleet appeared in his view. He made a small course correction.

Seconds later, the RF-17A blazed between the two largest ships in the hostile fleet, forty feet above the wavetops and still accelerating, now past Mach 3.4.

OOC: Sorry, Free Eagles, but as I stated earlier, I don't much about weaponry. The two fleets sent to kick your ass (;)) have two aircraft carriers, eight destroyers, six battleships, and twelve cruisers. If you want official types or classes, I don't know, and if this is far too big or far too small let me know.

IC:

"Launch the reconaissance aircraft! As yet, we hardly even know what planes they've got!" Hachi spat into the phone in her hand. "Idiot! You were blindly going into another country's waters?"

A young pilot hauled himself up the ladder and down into the cockpit of a light Yk-15 Reconaissance Plane. Thrusting the headphones and mask over his head, he listened carefully.

"Yk-15 number 057100K now cleared for take off. Good luck."

"Yk-15 number 057100K taking off." he murmured into the mask, then, "Off we go..." to himself.

Secure Message From: Ankta Saraa, Minister of Defence in NimTheScout
To: Free Eagles

Our sources have given us word of military action towards Kzuu Mai, NimTheScout wishes to support as we believe that the actions of Kzuu Mai are wrong and against our unspoken moral laws. We will therefore provide military assistance if it comes to that. As well as providing militairy and humanitarian aid we would wish to build an embassy in Free Eagles and hopefully vice versa. We would also request if you could let us know any other allies. We shall prepare our army and set up our force so that they are ready to call out whenever is appropriate.

Yours,

Ankta Saraa

"Hello NimTheScout, You may have heard the rumours of the dictator of Kzuu Mai "Lii Dan Kzuu". He has taken many religious leaders prisoner with no trial. Today, Ankta Saraa, minister of defence of NimTheScout has sent a message to the nation of Free Eagles who have demanded that unless Lii Dan Kzuu releases all prisoners and provides a formal statement of apology, then they will take millitary action. In a meeting earlier last night we decided that we will aid them. That is all."

"Ahhhhh" screamed Daniel Dio, a soldier in the Anarchic Squirrels 4 military.
He feared heights, he never flew before in his life, and definetly had never jumped out of a plane before, but it was his job, and Shinbreakers had to pay.
He soared through the air and opened his parachute, the thrill was incredible, he looked around at the falling soldiers and the Lockheed Galaxy above him.
He smiled as he hit the ground, he was okay...he packed up his parachute and ran towards the air field.
He was joined on the ground by other soldiers, including Colonel Sanders, they fired in the air and at the air field.
The soldiers came from all sides, there were 3 000 of them.
Only several people would be there, it was very late, nonetheless, Daniel expected a fight, espicially once the government of Shinbreakers was informed.
He didn't want to kill anyone, but he knew he would have to eventually. They fired mortars at the building, and waited for response, there was none.
They moved closer and closer, until of course they entered the building.
"Get in the corner" yelled Danial at the top of his voice.
He shot into the air, like the other soldiers, armed with Ak-47s(mostly).
The snipers moved towards windows and onto the roof, aswell as soldiers armed with RPG-7s.
Soldiers surrounded the building with mortars, and prepared booby traps for the Shinbreakers.
"Listen up!" yelled Colonel Sanders as he rounded up the hostages in the middle of the room "if they come, we kill the hostages!"

_____________________________________________________________

General Fraser saluted the 10 C-5 Galxies as they took off for the airfield, he was now sober, and was prepared for a fight.
The first division of 10 000 was on its way.
The Amphibious Vehicles had already left aswell.
"Prepare the boats, we leave tommorow!" he yelled turning back to the soldiers standing behind him.
Thousands more were coming.

The pilot in his light plane gritted his teeth as he smashed the sound barrier apart with a loud bang. His speed dial showed that he was still accelerating, and quickly. He yelled aloud in exhileration, watching the endless ocean flash by beneath his wings. Mach 2 came and went, and the knowledge that at any moment he could die sent a rush of adrenalin through the young pilot's frame. Two hours later, some aircraft came into view. Lots of very advanced-looking aircraft. Slowing down, the pilot peered at the symbol on them - the hated Eagle of Free Eagles.

"Shit, there's a lotta them..." he murmured, then switched on the radio, circling above the Free Eagles aircraft, hoping he was out of RADAR range. "This is pilot Miigoshi Yan, Yk-15 number 057100K. Can you hear me? Over."

"We hear ya, 057100K. What is it? Over." crackled the reply.

"Reporting many Free Eagles military aircraft, unknown type, at coordinates-" Yan stopped, and looked down, as he had heard a hiss below him. A missile streaked towards him, followed by a group of the planes. "Shit!"

"What?"

"End transmission. Over." he hastily switched off the radio, then attempted to outrun the missile. He pushed the accelerator as far forward as possible, and he gained speed quickly, but, suddenly, the engine stalled. The plane began to plummet out of the sky, twisting lazily as it shot down towards the sea. It hit the water with a loud splash and immediately disappeared. First casualty of war.

"What?"

Hachi drummed her fingers on the desk as she listened to the recording of the conversation.

"Do you think he was shot down?" asked the worried-looking man who had brought it to her. "Do you, Ms. Hachi?"

"There is no reason to suspect that. Anything could've happened. Engine malfunction, storm, loss of control...anything." she replied, patiently.

"Yes, but-"

"But nothing! We don't want to risk an all out war over the loss of some pilot...yet. Which is why-" She leaned towards the man, with a snarl on her face. "-you are not going to tell Kzuu."

"Damnit Kyo i know! We'll show these s.o.b's what happens to unwelcome guests in my nation."

---500 miles South-East---

3 HRS LATER

General Maximus Quinteros IV stood in the hatch of his Scorpian troop transport, surveying his battle orders. He was moving 1st and 2nd Regiments, some of the country's finest soldiers, to deal with roughly 3,000 enemy insurgents. Talk about overkill Apparently hostages had been taken. Numbers were unclear. His mission wasn't. 'Crush the enemy. Few can be sacrificed for the good of many.'

"OK boys. ETA at target location 5 minutes. Lock and Load" he shouted down the headset. A ragged cheer rose from the Scorpians and lorries behind him, and the attack helicopters flew in formation overhead. The artilley was positioned 10 miles to the north, but he doubted they would be needed. Chinnoooks waited at an airfield 10 minutes flight time away, loaded with 1st and 2nd's special forces branch. This shouldn't be too difficult. But he would not fall into the trap of underestimating the opposition. From what he had heard, the enemy were a fine fighting force, willing to prove themselves in battle.

Hopefully this could be sorted out with minimal bloodshed on either side. The enemy had shown their intentions, and the Shinbreakers military was prepping itself in full to fight a war if need be.

Too his left a round caught a turret gunner in the shoulder, sniper fire.
"Button up boys." he swung himself to join his men below, closing the hatch behind him, cocking his SA-80 rifle. They had the new kit. Time to use it.

“According to the telemetry, the missile missed its target, but the plane went down anyway. Falcon Two had just vectored four F-29s on to it, but they did not fire any weapons,” responded the lieutenant.

“AirOps, get a chopper out to the crash site, search for survivors, wreakage, anything that might tell us whose plane it was. Comms, anything from the Aurora yet?” ordered Caine.

It has been confirmed that New Grunz launched a missile attack upon Shinbreakers. The Shinbreakers' navy intercepted many of the missiles, but six found targets, including a hospital and a school.

It has also been confirmed that there are several thousand Anarchic Squirrels paratroopers now in southern Shinbreakers. Shinbreakers has sent its own force to repel the invaders.

The spy plane shot down over the Third Fleet yesterday morning has been identified as a Kzuu Mai Yk-15 reconnaissance aircraft.

The Government has officially declared war on Kzuu Mai and their allies today, following the invasion of Shinbreakers, the violation of our sovereign waters and the spy plane.

Mai Jun City, Kzuu Mai

The camera was pointed down at the Mai Jun detention centre, recording the actions of the guards. One guard was filmed using his baton to knock out a prisoner that had just been standing with a group of others, doing nothing.

The four-man team that made up Lazarus-2 had flown into Kzuu Mai on a commercial flight just four days before. They had found a room to rent that overlooked the prison, just so they could film it. In another ten minutes they would leave, then find a way out of the city, before uploading their film via satellite.

Deep in north Kzuu Mai...

This team had entered the country by train, then rented a car to come to the desert. Their task was to disrupt the running of the country. They had entered the power plant two hours ago to set the Semtex charges, and had only now reached their camp again.

"Do it," said the team leader. The demolitions man pressed the button on his remote. The power plant disappeared in the dust cloud raised by the blast. A large area of Kzuu Mai was now without power.

The Lazarus team quickly loaded their equipment into the vehicle. They would now make a break for the border.

Twelve B-2C Scimitar* land-based strike bombers, all 24 of the F/A-18s, 4 F-16s and 24 F-29s were in a holding cycle, waiting for the order to strike.

"All units, this is Starbase. Attack order given, execute the mission," came the order. Starbase was the call-sign for the carrier.

The aircraft came out of the holding cycle, led by the anti-radar armed F-16s, and headed west. Their target; Largent's fleet.

On board the carrier below, Admiral Caine watched the aircraft flying away.

The MiG-29s were flying toward the amphibious transports. And they unloaded their payloads into them as the transport planes dropped paratroopers. 10,000 of them fell through the sky in their parachutes, firing AK-47s into the Anarchic soldiers.

I think its something like that.
We should make a map, it would be much more organized.

IC:

Moans arose from the collapsed air port.
Colonel Sanders broke through the rubble.
He gasped for air and he choked on the heavy dust.
He looked at the dead bodies around him, some hostages, mostly soldiers, he checked if his radio still worked.
It did. He barked into it "Dio, Freeman, O'Riely, anyone..."
He became paranoid and thought he was the only one left.
He ran from the depris, scattered around.
There were still about 1/4 of them left but half of them were injured.
"We'll take the tanks and some of the APCs and loop around them, we'll hit them from the back" said the Colonel once the remaining troops were gathered.
"We're charging into a battle we can't win" said one of the soldiers.
"The we'll die...honorably." said another.

"We, didn't think the Shinbreakers would be in there so swiftly and deadly" said General Fraser.
"What now, I've got 7000 casualties to report, how is this...where...what now General? What now?"
"We sent over a small Division, for a quick strike from the sky, we did expect this, not this quickly though."
"And?"
"Now, we're sending in a much bigger and stronger force."
"How many?" asked the president.
"Four Army Groups."
"Thats 200 000! 200 000 soldiers!?"
"By boat. We'll also send out 2 airwings, 100 planes each, and 2 bomber squadrons, 50 planes each."
The President was speechless and had nothing to say at all.
"They'll leave later on this week" said the General.
The President nodded "it has to be done, for the good of the nation."

OOC: I hope not. Otherwise my fleet has been pretty useless...

OOC- Not really, if you destroy his fleet then you can bombard his land units from the safety of the ocean, and you can also blockade him from getting supplies from allies.

Paratroopers tumbled down through the Free Eaglian sky, releasing their parachutes one by one. Above them, the paratrooper planes turned and darted inland, heading for the Free Eagles capital. The Kzs and Kts worked their way back to the carrier.

The paratroopers hit the ground not too far from a road. Cars and trucks rumbled along it, moving incredibly fast. One of the paratroopers considered for a second, then ran towards the road and casually tossed a grenade in front of a large tanker.

"You shouldn't have done that," said his commander, grinning as the explosion tore through the air. "Ha, that wasn't in our orders..."

"You know me, sir. Just can't hold those grenades still..." The paratrooper laughed.

"OK, people, joke's over. Let's move..."

* * *

The Kzs and Kts got to the carrier without incident or detection - they hoped. They landed, the pilots swapped, and they were refueled. Then, without a question, the Kzs, followed by a small group of Ka-21 bombers, set off again. The destroyers and battleships followed roughly the same route, towards a port on the Free Eaglian coast.

Most of the ships were moored at the port; the declaration of war meant that they didn't want to risk the open seas. Cargo ships, carrying dozens of different kinds of raw materials, were crowded into what was really a relatively small space.

The paratroopers attacked the town, from the direction opposite the coast. 10,000 of them sprinted down into the suburbs, waving their AK-47s menacingly. The citizens hid in their homes - the paratroopers didn't have time for them. Police cars screeched up and the cops immediately opened fire.

At roughly the same time, the warships bombarded the harbour and the cargo ships were bombed. Water sprayed everywhere, but - as far as the pilots could make out - the relevant damage had been done.

"Outta here! Now!"

The paratroopers turned and ran.

"How was that useful?" spat a paratrooper. "We bombed a few ships - who cares?"

"I guess Kzuu has his reasons."

"I think we're being led by someone who has the strategic skills of a drunk cockroach."

The Submarines glided silently through the dark water (silent running)... Using Satellites and their own detectors, they subs found their targets, the Kzuu Mai fleet attacking a Free Eagles town. Hopefully while the Kzuu Mai were distracted by the destruction of the city they wouldn't notice the submarines closing in.

Each sub launched a torpedo (120 of them all together). The torpedos flew through the water and headed at their targets. Praying that they hit, all 120 subs turned around and dived deep into the ocean. They didn't want to fight an entire fleet without surface or air supoort. They started to travel back to the 1st and 2nd fleet, which were still a day or two away from the battle site.

OOC: sorry again for the quality, but i have to go to work, and i'm kinda late. I'll be back later.

As the fleet turned and began to leave the remains of the harbour, one of the destroyers shook from a large explosion. The hull crumpled, and the destroyer turned on its side, spraying water.

"Subs! Oh shit, why didn't we think of the subs, you idiots! Get outta here, now!"

A battleship jumped out of the water as at least a dozen torpedoes hit it at once. A second destroyer visibly shook, but remained on the surface of the water. The fleet darted out of the harbour - four destroyers and two battleships were lost, and none save a single destroyer were unharmed.

"Back to Kzuu Mai for now, people!"

FENS Bulletin

Today, the nation is in a state of shock. Not only has new footage been released showing graphic violence in the Mai Jun Detention Centre, which we will show again in our ten o’clock programme, but the city of Cararra has severely damaged by a naval bombardment. Cararra Naval Base, headquarters of the Eastern Navy, was hit especially hard, with several cargo vessels and three frigates sunk.

The city has also been hit by a large aerial assault and it is estimated that there are now ten thousand hostile troops in the city. In total it is estimated that there have been seven and a half thousand casualties in Cararra today. Fortunately, Cararra Army Base sustained no damage in either attack, and even now its troops are gearing up to take back the city.

The Kzuu Maian fleet which carried out the attack is already retreating to its own waters, after being severely damaged by Allied forces from Nocdi. The government has assured us that our response will be swift and deadly.

Above Mai Jun City, Kzuu Mai

The F-90 Wraith stealth fighter had taken six hours and two mid-air refuellings to get this far, and it would take the same amount of time to return to its base. Its course had been carefully plotted to pass through the gaps in the Kzuu Maian defence network, helped not a little by the destruction of the power station by Lazarus-3.

The aircraft was on autopilot as it cruised sedately at 35,000 feet, the pilot’s attention focused on locating her target, the main Kzuu Mai military headquarters.

‘There,’ she thought. She activated the laser designator and aimed it at the building. A switch opened the bomb bay. She pulled the release.

Two GBU-24 laser guided bombs dropped from the aircraft and began a leisurely descent towards the red dot filling their tiny computer brains. The answer to Lii Dan Kzuu's latest message was about to be delivered.

The bombs flew true. They landed on the roof of the building and fell through several stories before finally exploding, ripping the heart out of the building, and hopefully Kzuu Mai’s military machine as well.

Main Street, Cararra, Free Eagles

The infantry soldiers moved quickly and quietly through the ruins of Main Street, the Rapier tank backing them up. A burst of fire rang out and one of the infantrymen went down, clutching his left leg. The others hunkered down behind chunks of concrete and in doorways.

They returned fire, the squad leader saw a flash in a first floor window and keyed his radio,
“They’re in the building, first floor,” he told the tank commander. The 95mm gun swivelled, elevated and fired. The building erupted in flame, the wall collapsing to reveal the interior. The infantrymen quickly moved forward to take advantage of the disorientation caused by the explosion. They fired mercilessly at the enemy soldiers, including one injured by the shell. They were angry at the attack on their home, and were not in the mood to take prisoners.

As they moved forwards again, gunfire echoed from other skirmishes within the city.

North Kzuu Mai, near the border

The Lazarus team leader slowed their vehicle, stopping two hundred metres from the border patrol force. He quickly weighed up their options. Their only weaponry was their individual sidearms. Against thirty troops with rifles. There would be no escape for them.

“Well lads, looks like this is it for us. What do ya want to do?” he asked.

The demo man lifted a block of plastic explosive from his kit.
“We surrender, or we blow them up,” he growled.

The other two drew their pistols.
“I ain’t surrenderin’. I seen the footage of that prison camp before we left. Ain’t no way I’m goin’ there,” declared one.

The team leader floored the accelerator, charging at the border guards. The unexpected action delayed their response and by the time they lifted their rifles, it was too late.

Two of the operatives were leaning out of the windows, firing their pistols. The leader felt a pain in his chest from an enemy rifle round, but focused on his target. As they reached the soldiers, he cried,

“Now.” The remains of the Semtex supply ripped the vehicle apart, killing several soldiers and wounding more. Needless to say, the Lazarus team was dead.

“Jonesy, do you have a fix on the carriers yet?” asked Captain Marko Ramius.

“Ah, yessir. Range to Sierra Fifteen, the Yokavic, sixteen thousand metres. Bearing, one-nine-nine. Sierra sixteen is a thousand metres nearer, bearing, two-oh-one,” Sonar Operator Ron Jones replied.

“Weps, you get that?”

“Aye, Captain,” came the reply.

“Right. Flood tubes one through four. Tubes one and two at the Yokavic, tubes three and four at Sierra Sixteen. Open outer doors, match bearings and shoot.”
The sub shuddered as the torpedoes were ejected into the water by compressed air. They were set to run deep and slow to avoid detection, hopefully taking the carriers by surprise.

“Torpedoes One through Four running hot, straight and normal, Captain,” announced Weps.

“Good. Cut the wires and let’s get out of here. XO, new course bearing oh-one-five, maximum silent speed.”

Aboard Delta 2-1, an AH-27 attack helicopter, Cararra, Free Eagles

Flight Sergeant Amelia Stevens was not a happy person. Her home and most of her family had been destroyed by Kzuu Mai’s attack. Her wingman, Chris Robins, had suffered similar losses.

Their Dragon helicopters were armed with nothing but guns and gun-pods for this mission. Paratroopers rarely possess armour, so missiles and rockets would be wasted.

The choppers were flying along the wide streets of Cararra, generally causing havoc among the lightly armed paratroopers. F-S Stevens was particularly pleased with seeing one group of ten soldiers literally torn apart by her 25mm cannon.

She brought the Dragon around a corner and saw five infantrymen lay down their weapons and hold their arms high. Surrendering. Normally, she would accept it. Not today. The loss of her family was too great.

“This is for my son,” she whispered.

She pulled the trigger and held it down, covering the soldiers with cannon fire. When she released the trigger, she looked left and saw Robins hovering there. He had watched her action. He gave her a grim nod and flew ahead as gunfire continued to sound across the city.

OOC- So... does Kzuu Mai share a boarder with any other allied country? I have to know whether i can just mass my troops on the allied border and invade, or if i have to D-day my troops onto your land.

IC- The Nocdian fleets meet up just outside of Kzuu Mai's waters. They then set sail as a united fleet towards Kzuu Mai's biggest port city. 10 EA-6B Prowlers, and 10 E-2C Hawkeyes are launched. The Prowler's primary mission is to protect fleet surface units and other aircraft by jamming hostile radars and communications. And Hawkeye is the Nocidan Navy's all-weather, carrier-based tactical airborne warning and control system platform. It provides all-weather airborne early warning and command and control functions for the carrier battle group. Satellite imagery is also used to find enemy ships and potential targets for the seige of the city.

The subs lead the way silently, as the fleet follows with the 20 planes flying silently overhead.

"Sir, we have a boat on radar."

"Send up the 2 Sh-2 Seasprites and check it out."

The 2 Seasprite helicopters gear up and lift off. They travel off towards the unidentified boat.

"Frog 1, it appears to be a large fishing vessel of some kind, awaiting orders."

"Welcome Wagon, tell them to leave the area, if they try anything get rid of them."

Using the bullhorns on the Helicopters the lead Helicopter addresses the fishing vessel.

"Leave the area immediately, if you try anything it'll be the last thing you do."

The Ship's crew flocked to the deck to get a look at what was talking to them. One man pulled out a side arm and fired a couple of shots that bounced off the bull proof glass of the helicopter.

"Fools..." Muttered the pilot as he puts a weapons lock on the boat and fired two Penguin anti-ship missiles right into the center of the fishing boat.

The Boat erupted in flames. Civilians were thrown in all directions away from the explosion, several were sent flying off the boat altogether and hit the ocean so hard it felt as though they fell out of a 50 story building onto the hard cement, crushing their skulls and breaking nearly all of their bones. The Burning ship sinks shortly thereafter. The Helicopters circle the sunken ship for a minute making sure no one survived, and then flew back to the fleet.

OOC: Free Eagles, they aren't intended to get to the capital. The planes are empty, anway.

IC: The Yokavic shuddered violently, so much that a Kz plunged into the ocean as it was being wheeled to the hangar.

"Grrrrr...I'll ask Hachi if we can launch our own subs," muttered the captain, the Yokavic still shaking from the impact, a part of the hull punched in and pierced. It stayed on the surface - just. "This is Captain Kara Kiiyo, captain of the LDKz Yokavic, and the first fleet. Can you hear me? Over."

He waited for a few seconds.

"Can you hear me? Over."

* * *

Aedi Hachi's corpse lay in the middle of the shattered building, part crushed by a fallen chunk of masonry. Her desk had been split in two, and her computer utterly destroyed, leaving circuit boards and wires trailing over the dusty floor in a similar way to her assisstant's insides. The window had all but imploded. The bomb had landed in the next room.

Kzuu paced up down in his office, growling. Kalaya "Kaz" Sun, the previous foreign secretary, had been demoted to war secretary - although, at this time, it was more like a promotion. Sun was a powerful man, and he was similar to Kzuu in many ways. After the revolution, when Kzuu had shot God-Emperor Maya XIV, Sun had saved him from the monarchy's rigor mortis; a huge explosion which had ripped the palace apart.

Sun was a not a man you crossed; he had sentenced more to death than Kzuu himself. At this point, he stood in corner, watching Kzuu with emotionless eyes.

"Kill the Free Eaglians. All of them. Now." said Kzuu to his assisstant. "Now then, Kaz, what shall we do?"

"I'm not going to pretend this, Lii," he said in a deep growl, "They know what they're doing. They obviously do."

"I know that, Kaz. We've lost several ships 'cause of them and their allies, and the paratroopers in Carrara are being ripped apart as we speak. Not to mention their bombing raid in Mai Jun itself."

"Yes. We have two options, and neither of them are very subtle. A full-sacle invasion of Free Eagles, or we sit here and wait for them to come to us."

"We can do more than that, Kaz. Launch the subs - I don't want any fleet going out without a sub escort. Also..."

Kaz nodded silently, listening to Kzuu's plans. They weren't too bad. "If we invade afterwards, we could finish 'em off. And the support from our allies will be needed."

"Get the anti-aircraft guns and missile defence systems up and running. Set up new RADAR stations, all over Kzuu Mai. All soldiers - and reserves - are, from this point on, on high alert. Start conscription."

"Conscription? We already have compulsory service. Our army is already over 15 million strong - nearing twenty. That's about five per cent of the population."

"We want more. Also, all money in education, healthcare, the environment, public transport and social welfare is being transferred to the military budget."

"With the loss of the military HQ all this could be difficult."

"Damnit Kaz, what did we lose? Plans, the occaisional general, prototypes. Who was it who planned the revolution? Was it those idiots at the HQ?"

"No, Lii. It was you, and me, and Karl."

"Yes. And Karl Yokavic is dead. The two greatest military minds in the country are in this room. We can beat them. For Karl Yokavic."

* * *

Carrara was just about a smoking ruin, with the paratroopers running through the rubble, firing repeatedly. Helicopters whirred over head, firing cannons into them, killing them easily.

"Air support! Where are you, damnit?" cried their commander, ducking under a pile of rubble as an explosion sent a dozen soldiers flying, clutching his helmet.

A few dozen Kts shot through the sky at Mach 2.5, deserting the Yokavic like rats fleeing a doomed ship. Behind them, at a leisurely Mach 1, the Kzs rumbled, followed by a few Ka bombers, going at just over half the Kzs speed.

The Kts shot past the helicopters, guns blazing. They decelerated suddenly, did as tight a turn as possible, and returned to the skies above Carrara, still firing wildly. One was hit by a helicopter's cannon; the fuel tank exploded, and the Kt shot down to earth trailing black smoke, trying desperately to at least hit the Free Eaglian soldiers. The pilot had one bit of luck - the plane hit the ground metres from a small squad, and the explosion blew them straight up into the air.

Then the Kzs arrived, and, leaving the Kts to deal with the helicopters, they fired missiles and occaisionally machine gunned into the Free Eaglian soldiers and tanks below.

A ragged cheer was heard from the paratroopers at the arrival of the cavalry - although victory was still a long way away.

Finally, lumbering bombers began their aerial bombardment of the decimated city below.

DAMAGE:

10,000 paratroopers sent; 3,747 killed so far.
50 Kt-12s sent; 14 destroyed so far.
30 Kz-20s sent; 9 destroyed so far.

OOC:
Kzuu, Congrats on the quality of your last post, like it a lot :D
Did your other carrier sink or is that one still afloat too?

New Grunz, if you want to strike at naval bases, there’s the wrecked HQ at Cararra, and two subsidiary bases at Amderma and North Indo, but these are much further north (and possibly iced in). Civil ports are pretty much non-existent.

Is Largent still involved?

IC:
The Grunzian cruise missiles had damaged two of Blackwood’s four runways and destroyed thirteen aircraft. Two other nearby airbases were temporarily closed due to runway damage, expected to be fixed by late that afternoon. A fourth airbase was completely unusable in the foreseeable future. A cruise missile had hit the underground fuel stores, destroying a large part of the base. Still more missiles had been brought down by the air defences and others had gone wild and missed their targets. Overall, the FEAF commanders thought they had got off rather lightly.
---

Above Cararra

The F-16s swooped down from high altitude and fell upon the Kzuu Maian aircraft like seabirds on fish.

The lumbering Ka-21 bombers were the first to go, easy pickings for the guns of the F-16s. One Ka-21 crashed into the one building still undamaged on Main Street, bringing it down in a cloud of dust and rubble.

Then, they selected missiles and took to the Kt-12s hunting the helicopters.
---
Down on the ground, the soldiers were cursing as they were decimated by the aircraft. One soldier had found a Stinger missile launcher and brought down a fighter-bomber.

In the next street, an AA-47 Thor anti-aircraft gun, sent out because its cannons would rip through infantry, opened up on the fighters above, stitching one with a line of bullet holes, causing it to trail smoke, and then cutting the wing off a second. This second aircraft lurched towards them, and the Thor’s crew scrambled out of their vehicle. The Kz-20 crashed on to the Thor, killing the vehicle’s gunner in the explosion.
---
F-S Stevens was more than a little shaken. The arrival of the enemy aircraft had taken her and her wingman by surprise and she had narrowly avoided a missile that slammed into the building behind her after losing radar lock when her Dragon helicopter went around a corner.

Now she cursed only having guns. With Striker missiles she could have shot down some aircraft. The chances of her managing it with guns were small. Not that it stopped her trying, clipping one fighter and chopping off part of its tail.
---

Somewhere over the ocean, near the Grunzian fleet.

The Free Eagles military machine had finally had some luck. Satellites had noticed the Grunzian fleet leaving Perge and the air force had sent twelve Scimitar long range strike bombers to welcome the Grunzian Navy to Free Eaglian waters.

“Sea Eagle, this is lead. Fire mission,” radioed the lead aircraft. Following radio discipline, there was no response.

The Scimitars opened their bomb bays and released 18 AGM-104 cruise missiles each, making a total of 216 missiles headed for the Grunzian ships. The missiles were programmed to fly low to avoid detection, then ‘pop-up’ at the last minute and dive onto the target. The targeting data was being provided by satellite uplink.

Having released their missiles, the Scimitars closed their bomb bays and turned around, heading back home.

OOC: Thanks, Free Eagles. I've been thinking your posts have been good all the way through, and you obviously know your stuff. :) The other carrier, the Revolution, sunk like a rock, lol, but some planes got off it. Could you tell me what damage I've done so far?

IC: The Ka bombers had been ripped apart; there were now none left, the F-16s far too quick for them. The dogfight in the skies was gettting ferocious, with planes and helicopters falling every few minutes, and buildings exploding from stray missiles. Kt-12s were chasing the F-16s, trying to avoid the anti-aircraft fire, as were the Kzs, but they were still trying to hit the Free Eaglians on the ground too. One Kt was hit in the engine and streaked straight into one of the few remaining undamaged buildings, immediately bringing it down.

On the ground, the Kzuu Maian paratroopers were having more luck. The Free Eaglian soldiers were having as hard a time as they were, now that the Kzuu Maian planes had arrived. Hiding behind piles of rubble, the two forces were constantly firing at each other, trying desperately to avoid the missiles and bombs dropping on them from the sky while trying equally as desperately to kill the others.

"December 17, 2004 A day that will live in infamy"

A geyser of water rocketed into the air. The explosion sent shrapnel flying into bodies. Limbs were removed. Heads removed. Blood and oil were mixing in the ocean. Within a minute a huge fire ball rose up from the ship. Several hundred people burned alive. People that were on fire jumped into the water several hundred feet down. Several more ships blew up into oblivion simultaneously. 1000 pound bombs on the ship were exploding from the heat, ripping holes into the deck. Charred bodies were so thick in the ocean, most had severed limbs and intestines floating away from the bodies. The ones not yet dead would die from the cold arctic waters surrounding New Grunz. A missile again hit the aircraft carrier Perge. It went straight through like a knife through butter then rammed straight into the destroyer. The missile was on target. The explosion ripped through the decks. The destroyer took in water fast and sank all hands down. A burning ship unguided because they we dead rammed into Perge. The metal scraped against metal. Then, a blinding white light lit up the murder field. The carrier was hit by 10 missiles right in the ammo dump. The sound and heat fused the two ships into one. They melted into a large hulk. Millions of bodies were dead, charred and frozen. They could be seen horizon to horizon.

OOC: Since Largent appears to have abandoned us, my MiGs are now attacking Kzuu Mai's Navy.

IC: The MiGs flew at the remaining Kzuu Carrier, unloading missiles into it. A the firefight continued between History lovers and Kzuu Mai aircraft, many aircraft were shotdown in the fighting.

OOC- Kzuu mai, whats the name of your biggest port city? and do you have any units there?
Kzuu Mai
18-12-2004, 19:26
OOC: Gayoshi. It's right at the south-western tip of the main Kzuu Maian Peninsula. (I've done a pretty crap map in paint). And I have units there. It's the second biggest city in Kzuu Mai.

History Lovers, I assume you are attacking my fleet that is returning home to Kzuu Mai - if I'm wrong, tell me.

IC: The heavy, regular rhythm of the anti-aircraft guns on the cruisers beat through the night sky, eerily accompinied by the loud hum of the aircraft engines and splash as the vessels cut through the waves. The crippled Kzuu Maian fleet, and the crippled Yokavic were hounded by the constant threat of the History Loverian MiGs - the few planes that had remained on the Yokavic and not joined the attack on Carrara were massacred by the dozens of MiGs, with the MiGs receiving comparatively few casualties. The only real successes were performed by the cruisers and some of the other warships not too damaged to fight.

"This is Captain Kara Kiiyo, of the LDKz Yokavic, and the first fleet of Kzuu Mai. Request help immediately, under attack from hostile aircraft." The voice came out of Kaz's phone, which was lying on Kzuu's desk.

"We could divert some aircraft, Lii. They aren't too far off." suggested Kaz.

"We could. Captain, how many hostiles do you count?"

"A hundred. Probably less now."

"What state is the fleet in?"

"Due to the attack at Carrara: LDKz Yokavic, carrier, damaged. LDKz Revolution, carrier, sunk. LDKz Spirit, battleship, sunk. LDKz Tekechi, battleship, sunk. LDKz Jun, battleship, damaged. LDKz Wavecleaver, battleship, damaged. LDKz Swift Death, battleship, damaged. LDKz Lii Dan, battleship, damaged. LDKz Kzuu's Glory, destroyer, sunk. LDKz Gayoshi, destroyer, sunk. LDKz Alaya, destroyer, sunk. LDKz Kting, destroyer, damaged. LDKz Bloody Sun, destroyer, damaged. LDKz Mai, destroyer, damaged. LDKz Kalaya, destroyer, damaged. All cruisers and one destroyer intact."

"Oh shit, Kaz. We got a problem." murmured Kzuu, after the depressingly long list was over.

Kaz covered the phone's microphone. "Do we sacrifice the fleet?" he asked.

Kzuu shook his head. "Bring 'em to Gayoshi. If they're still chasin' 'em, we can shoot 'em down. We got a few aircraft near there an' all."

"How...subtle..." muttered Kaz. "OK, sure."

"What? You got a better idea?"

"Wouldn't hurt to have some of the Kts from the carrier in the other fleet go over and give 'em a hand, would it?"

"The fleet headed for Carrara?"

"Yeah."

"Fine. Captain, continue towards Kzuu Mai. Help is on the way."

* * *

A few dozen Kt-12s rumbled down the runways of the two carriers in Kzuu Mai's second fleet, which was headed for Carrara. The Kts took off with a loud roar, shooting into the night sky. The sound barrier was broken dozens of times in as many seconds, the sonic booms splitting the night apart.

* * *

The cruisers in the first fleet were still desperately attempting to hold off the MiGs, but with little success. Two cruisers had sunk since Kiiyo had made his report.

"Hostiles withdrawing." said Kiiyo, with no small sense of relief. "Continuing towards Kzuu Mai."

The Kt-12s had only just arrived. Muttering to themselves, the pilots turned around and headed back to their carrier.

* * *

In Carrara, the fighting was still tough, and neither side appeared to be gaining the upper hand.

* * *

On the carriers in Kzuu Mai's second fleet (escorted by subs this time), the Kt-12s arrived back and refueled. They were then ordered to fly to Carrara to back up the dwindling planes already there. Shouting curses at their commander, they gulped down some triple espresso then hopped back into the cockpit, followed by the Kz-20 pilots.

The ships would not be arriving for another two days [a couple of hours RL time].

At the Gayoshi Airbase, the mighty H-46 bombers were being wheeled out of their hangars, along with some Kzs and Kts to serve as an escort. The crews were ducking through the short doors as they were slowly filled up with fuel. They would need to be refueled twice before they reached their destination.

OOC: Sorry. The city of Cararra has been virtually demolished, the naval base especially. The army base a few klicks inland is undamaged. About 8200 civilians dead, 2700 infantry, 3 Rapier MBTs, 6 Thor AA guns, 14 AH-27s and 9 F-16s.
My ground losses are smaller, because I’ve got armour involved.

IC:
FENS Bulletin

The city of Cararra is still deep in heavy fighting. Much of the city has now been demolished by the combat. It is estimated that approximately five thousand civilians were killed in the fighting, the rest are now being evacuated. There are also reports of fierce aerial combat over the city as well. We hope and pray for our noble pilots.

New Grunz has announced that they are willing to withdraw from the war and would like to enter peace talks. This follows a devastating attack on their naval fleet by FEAF Scimitar bombers.

We will bring you more when we have it.

Cararra

The air battle was still raging. The F-16s had been joined by 24 F-29 air defence fighters, armed with long range missiles. As more F-29s arrived, the F-16s were able to leave the combat, as they were running low on both fuel and weapons. In addition, the army had deployed their AA-150 Avenger mobile SAM launchers, wreaking havoc on low flying enemies.
---
The ground forces had now moved on to clearing the city, street by street, in platoon sized formations, with armoured aupport. They knew the paratroopers could not escape. The city was surrounded by various army formations, some from Cararra Army Base, and others rushed in from other nearby bases. The up-side to the wide-scale destruction was that there were very few buildings left for the paratroopers to hide in.
---
F-S Stevens and her wingman, F-S Robins, had returned to the army base to refuel and rearm, this time taking some Striker missiles with them. She still wanted vengeance.

Aboard SRS Constellation

The fleet was now headed back towards Cararra, not to put into the port, that was long gone. The fleet was heading back to contribute to the defence of the city, and prevent further reinforcement of the enemy forces there.

The F-14s leapt off the bows and headed for the city. They had so far avoided conflict, now they were lusting for it.

Aboard SRS Sceptre

The sub was heading south again. The crew were heartened by news of their victory, the sinking of one carrier and crippling another, and Ramius was revealing their latest orders.

“Our new orders are to head back towards Kzuu Mai. We are to locate and attack any Kzuu Mai forces, in particular, the second carrier battle group which left recently,” he said through the intercom.

“We will move slowly and quietly towards the enemy. Satellites show the fleet heading our way, and there was an unconfirmed report of subs accompanying the fleet. In support, the Stingray will arrive shortly. I have also been told that the air force, in light of their success against the Grunzian fleet, will be staging an attack on the Kzuu Maian fleet before too long.”

IC:
Two F-18 Hornet attack fighters, over the ocean, approaching Gayoshi, Kzuu Mai

The Hornets were carrying fuel tanks on all their weapons points except two. From these hung AGM-57 anti-ship missiles. Their target, the LDKz Yokavic, finish the job started by SRS Sceptre. They had flown the long way around to avoid detection by enemy radar. Unfortunately, low-flying, also to avoid radar, used more fuel than high altitude cruising. The fuel limits for the mission were extremely tight.

“Hydra Four, Three. I have radar lock on the target,” one pilot announced.

“Three, Four. Copy that. Missiles locked,” confirmed the second.

“Four, Three. Firing missiles,” said the first, as he pulled the trigger. The two missiles dropped clear and the rocket engines ignited. They streaked towards the crippled carrier, Hydra Four’s missiles following close behind.

The missiles activated their on-board radars as they homed in, aimed at the lower hull, just above the waterline.

With the activation of the missiles own radars, the F-18 pilots deactivated theirs and reversed course, leaving the area before they were spotted.

Silver Canyon Air Force Base, Free Eagles

The last of the Scimitar bombers had just taken off. The success of 268 Squadron had inspired them. Now, 174 Squadron had their chance at glory. Their target was the Kzuu Maian Second Fleet.

The load of each plane was the same as the previous raid, eighteen cruise missiles each. The mission plan was virtually the same, only minor changes had been made, so that the Kzuu Maians would not know exactly what was about to happen.

One of the changes was the three squadrons of F-15s accompanying the raid, as the Kzuu Maian carriers were active. These would come from a base nearer the coast, as the range of the F-15s was far less than that of the bombers.

The bombers came off afterburner and linked up with tanker aircraft to replenish the fuel used in take-off. Then, they headed south, towards the F-15s, the sea and, eventually, the Kzuu Maian fleet.

Emperor Armand stood in a room filled with darkness. Only one ray of concencrated light was allowed to enter through a small hole in the ceiling. A strong pure beam sliced through the seas of darkness. Armand smiled, realizing why he loved to think in this room. The light was really the way he saw himself, and his country. A beam of good in a sea of evil.
Alright, enough philosophizing. I’ve got to figure out what to do in regards to the Kzuu Mai situation. One hand, the idea of other nations charging in over domestic affairs is disturning, but...those innocent people…Slaughtered to glorify some two bit fool who is so incompetent that he doesn’t realize that all that is required to get your people to obey you is propaganda! Not murder. Cold blooded murder…
“That’s it! I’ve made up my mind!”
The Emperor dug in his black uniform to reveal a small, blue screened PDA. He placed his eye by it, for a retinal scan. Then a thumbprint and DNA tests followed. Finally, a female mechanical voice hummed to life.
“Welcome, O’ Holy Emperor. What do you wish to do today?”
“Send e-mail.”
“To whom, sir?”
“General Theo Slavin, deployed in Holy Paradise, and General Chikara Yuki, in Haven14.”
“Begin dictation.”
“Generals, consider your missions in your areas complete. We have another battle on our hands. I’m sure you’re aware of the oppressive regime that rules Kzuu Mai. It has attacked many free countries, and we are to take the battle to them. As you are aware of, our country’s naval fleet is nonexistent. Our military consists mainly of ground forces, with some elite aerial units. Chikara, you have a smaller force trained to fight larger ones, while Theo has more conventional forces. I want you to move through various allied and neutral countries, and arrive at the western border of Kzuu Mai. (OOC: This is not goddmodding, since the force I’m not placing my and your borders together. So the armies will take a while to arrive. And yes, I did sign up for this.) Chikara, strike at one of their main checkpoints, but do not attempt to get in. I have the rest of the plan attached to this mail. Now, fight for the glory of Armandian Cheese! FOR FREEDOM!”
Armand left the room, sweaty and exhausted, yet exhilarated at this new challenge.
OOC: The armies will be there in 1 NS week. I’ll say that’ll be a few hours or so. Oh yeah, and how was that post. By the way, Kzuu Mai, you can’t have 5% of your people in the military unless you have an outdated force and an extremely ruined economy. North Korea doesn’t even have 5%, and look at them. I’d say 1% is more reasonable. For example, that gives me 1,860,000 forces available. Also, about 0.2% of that should be logistical support (cooks, mechanics).

The night sky roared as the lumbering "Seahawks" flew towards the Kzuu Mai fleet in Gayoshi. Only grizzled veterans, such as Lt. Ha, piloted the deadly planes. Why? Well, while it was incredibly effective against any type of ship, to get close enough to drop the "bunker buster" (modified to drill into the ship's hull, and explode) into the vessel was to get in full range of AA guns. Heavy armoring helped, but still...
"Alright, this is Lt. Ha. I need five with me. We're going in onto the ship I designated with my computer. MOVE!"
The ships dive bombed straight down, climbing just above the deck of the unknown ship. It was too dark to see what kind of vessel it was, but it appeared to be medium sized. Its AA guns blared ferociously, knocking dents into the planes.
"AAAAAGHHHH!"
One of the hawks fell into the deck, slaughtering sailors as it exploded. The others dropped their payloads, and prayed for escape. The bombs drilled into the hull, and exploded inside, killing many and hopefully, sinking the damned vessel.
"Alright, this is Lt. Ha. We've lost Jason. I repeat, we lost Jason. Move back out and attempt to get cover from the Free Eagle fighters. Free Eagles, we need protection. NOW! I repeat! Cover! Damn, when are those Joint Strike Fighters comin'?"

OOC- Let him have 5%, because he has alot more enemies than allies.

IC- The Nocdian fleet closes in on the large port city of Gayoshi.

"Sir, Radar is picking up enemy naval and ground forces around the city. We are nearly in striking distance, whats your orders?"

General Backer rocks back and forth slowly in his chair... "the Prowlers should be able to jam the enemy naval units radar... but i'm not sure if they're powerful enough to jam the radar stations inland... Strike the radar towers with cruise missiles. Then have the subs attack. Then send the air attack, and while they are getting bombed by our planes... hit them with missiles from our boats, and shoot the shit outta them with our BattleShips. If they have subs, use our subs to take them out, or launch seahawk helicopters with anti-sub charges and take them out..."

---
The Troops prep for what will be a hard battle. The Cruisers, and Battleships get their shells ready and load them. The Pilots start they're planes, as mantaince crews run around inspecting everything. The Subs move ahead and take possitions. All weapons find a target and the battle begins.

The Cruise missiles are launched at all of the radar stations, as the missiles take flight, The submarine fleet launches their torpedos in unison (120 of them). Just as that happens, the air force rushes overhead-

240 F-22 Raptors
80 F-14 Tomcats
80 S-3B Vikings (bombers)
20 Seahawk (helicopters with anti-sub capabilities)
10 Prowlers (radar jamers)
10 Hawkeyes (my radar and communications planes, these stay back away from the fighting)

The commanders watch as the missiles travel forward towards their targets, and hold their breathes hoping that the missiles hit...

OOC: Lol thanks. I'm not gonna last much longer.

IC: The Yokavic, the largest ship in the Kzuu Maian fleet, finally, gracefully, gave up. It sank down into the depths of the ocean, never to be seen again. The remnants of the fleet had also been attacked by as yet unidentified aircraft - the AA guns on the cruisers had done some damage but the only intact destroyer was destroyed quickly and easily.

* * *

Free Eaglian bombers streaked towards the Kzuu Maian second fleet, accompanied by some fighters. The fleet had just sighted Free Eaglian land.

"Launch the Kt-12s." was the immediate order. However, the majority of the Kts had been sent to Carrara to aid in the combat there, leaving very few in defence.

"Ignore the fighters. Take out the bombers. Launch the Kzs as well." The aircraft rumbled off the runway accompanied by the heavy, repetitive boom of the AA guns.

The fighters, and fighter/bombers, circled the lumbering Free Eaglian bombers, firing repeatedly into them. Water sprayed everywhere each time a bomb was dropped, and two ships - a cruiser and a battleship - were immediately destroyed.

"We need to get the transports to Carrara! Make sure the transports don't sink."

The depressing whistle of bombs cleaving the air was heard all around. With a loud, metallic groan, one of the carriers, the Crimson Sky, sank down into the ocean. The Kt-12s and Kz-20s were heavily outnumbered, but they still refused to stop, and continued trying desperately to destroy the bombers. One bomber's wing was almost blown off by AA fire, and remained hanging by a couple of cables.

"We can't win. Just get to Carrara as fast as you can."

The shattered harbour in Carrara came into sight, and the soldiers crammed into their transports finally felt a faint sliver of hope.

"Subs! Subs!" screamed one of the members of the sub crews.

"Take 'em down. Now."

Torpedoes shot out of the half-dozen subs accompanying the fleet, all headed for the Free Eaglian subs, which fired torpedoes of their own. The above-water fleet still attempted to hold off the bombers, the Kzuu Maian aircraft hounding them.

* * *

Carrara. The arrival of the Kzuu Maian second fleet aircraft had taken the Free Eaglians by surprise, although they had new aircraft of their own, and, in the air, neither side was close to victory. On the ground, however, the paratroopers were being torn apart.

The Kzuu Maian transports - two had been sunk by the bombers - finally landed in the remains of Carrara's harbour. Mobile AA guns rumbled down out of the transports and opened fire at the bombers and other aircraft immediately. These were followed by tanks and APCs, which rumbled towards the last paratroopers and unloaded their cargo. Kzuu Maian soldiers, some armed with stingers and mortars, stepped out into the rubble that had been Carrara, and opened fire.

The second carrier in the second Kzuu Maian fleet was sinking. The Free Eaglian torpedoes had hit it, and a couple more bombs had finished it off.

The H-46s had just been refueled for the second, and final, time. They continued towards Free Eagles, avoiding the RADAR as well as they could.

Lt. Ha's Seahawk was ripped to shreds by a Kzuu Mai fighter. He managed to eject out at the last moment, but the incessant anti-air fire shattered his body into millions of flesh particles. With the lack of the earlier elements of surprise, and a lack of air support, the other Seahawks were being hammered as well. Five of them divebombed towards five smaller vessels. A missile struck one, shattering its wing and sending it falling into the cold sea. Another literally crashed right into a Kzuu Mai jet, engulfing both in a large explosion. A third was hit on the side by an AA round, and was sent flying off course, straight into a crowd of Kzuu Mai onlookers who had snuck into the port to witness the battle. The two remaining ones were severely damaged, but they each one managed to drop its payload onto a small enemy vessel.
**********************************************************
(For stats, check previous posts.)
Gen. Chikara Yuki's forces marched near a main checkpoint of Kzuu Mai's western border. His army was nowhere near the size required to punch a hole in the border, but that wasn't his purpose.
The tanks came first. Armed to the brim, a wave of M1-Abrams tanks rolled in front of the border checkpoint. At first, the guards froze in sheer panic. They regained their senses when a Malva soldier shot a fat fellow in the chest, knocking him throgh the window of the border booth. Gunfire on both sides rang out, as a border patrolman desperately called for reinforcements.
Chikara smiled grimly in his command tank.
"That's right, come and get us..."

1. New Grunz and History lovers exchange ambassadors
2. New Grunz condemns Kzuu Mai of all acts of genocide and racial cleansing.
3. New Grunz agrees to stop all exports to members of the Opposition/Kzuu Mai Axis
4. OOC: Do I have any allies left?!

* * *

The H-46s had managed to get relatively far into Free Eagles. A city, not a big one, but still a city, was spread out below them, appearing to writhe from the cars and people crawling through it.

Throwing caution to the wind, the bombers and their support flew straight for the city centre, certainly being spotted as they did so. The H-46s opened their bomb bays, and carpet-bombed the city below. They had no specific target; Kaz's orders had been "just bomb the hell out of 'em." A few seconds after they first began bombing, AA fire clattered below. There would be an airfield nearby, with aircraft undoubtedly taking off and preparing to attack the bombers. One of the H-46s was hit in the wing, and that was the end for that bomber. They dropped the last few bombs, a second H-46 exploded, followed by two Kts, and they got out of there as quickly as possible, which was painfully slowly. Still, the damage had been done, they hoped.

"Kzuu Mai's navy is now virtually non-existent." murmured Kaz.

Actually, I think the Yokavic was sunk by my F-18s, but never mind.
And the bombers carried cruise missiles, not bombs.

IC:
The Scimitars had been hounded by fighters as they approached the Kzuu Maian fleet, the F-15s doing their best to protect them, but could not get them all before the bombers were hit. Five of the bombers were shot down before releasing their payloads, but the other seven each managed to release their 18 cruise missiles. After launching the weapons another Scimitar was hit by a missile, three of its four engines failing, and it careened down into the sea for a crash landing.

On closing the bomb bays, the six remaining Scimitars reversed course and went to afterburner, accelerating away from the fight at Mach 2. Their unit had taken a heavy hit, and now they just wanted to get back to safety. The F-15s remained though, linking up with the Tomcats and Hornets from the newly arrived carrier force to batter what little remained after the bomber and sub attack.
---

Aboard SRS Sceptre

The sub slowed, having finally lost the torpedo chasing them. The Sceptre was still alive, but the crew had heard the triple boom that marked the end of their compatriots on the Stingray. They had got three ships, a destroyer and two cruisers. They might have got a carrier too, but in the confusion caused by the large scale battle, they were unsure.

Ramius gave the order to reverse course and head back towards the enemy ships. Their orders were clear. Eliminate all trace of the Kzuu Maian navy.
---

Cararra

The arrival of the Kzuu Maian transports had come as a nasty surprise for the ground troops. However, the area surrounding Cararra had become the world’s largest marshalling area, with four full divisions, nearly 18,000 troops, now in place. This including the elite ‘Big Blue’ 92nd Armoured Regiment and the 1st Commando Regiment. Also present was the 40th Air Assault Regiment, with 120 AH-27 Dragon attack helicopters, 66 Blackhawk helicopters and 1300 infantry. These units had already entered the city, and were even now attacking the enemy before they were fully off the transports.
---
A flight of A-10 Thunderbolt ground attack fighters swooped in low over the water and covered the harbour area with cluster bombs and napalm, hitting the troops when they were at their weakest.
---
F-S Stevens was back as well, mercilessly seeking out the enemy anti-air units and hitting them with rockets from the pods under the wings, before moving on to the tanks and APCs.
---

Above Wusan City, Free Eagles

The Kzuu Maian bombers had appeared out of nowhere on the radar screens, popping into existence just 30 klicks from the airbase. A flight of Saab JAS-39 Gripen fighters were scrambled immediately, with eight more being hurried to take-off readiness.

The anti-air defences were also taken by surprise. The first bombs were falling before the gunners fired their first shots. They leapt into action, valiantly engaging the bombers with their 30mm guns and surface-to-air missiles. They brought down two bombers, followed by two of the escorting fighters, then the bombers were gone, headed for home.

However, they were not free and clear yet. The Gripen fighters came up behind them and unloaded missiles into the huge bombers at point blank range. When the Gripens ran out of missiles, a squadron of Eurofighter Typhoons from Palmyra replaced them, alerted by Wusan Air Base.

The orders came through to the pilots of the Kzs and Kts escorting the H-46 bombers.

"Sacrifice the H-46s. Get outta there."

They shot forwards, breaking the sound barrier a few seconds afterwards, leaving the bewildered H-46 crews to be destroyed by the Free Eaglian aircraft. As quickly as possible, they dropped their loads, despite the fact they were over countryside. The Free Eaglian aircraft hit them and tore them apart instantly.

* * *

The were now more Kzuu Maian ships below water than above, and as the four subs slowly accompanied the pathetic remains of the second fleet back to Kzuu Mai, they were suddenly attacked by a single Free Eaglian sub. Ignoring the submarines, the Sceptre went straight for the above-water ships. A cruiser crumpled and died slowly, followed by a battleship and a second cruiser, before the torpedoes of the Kzuu Maian subs shot through the water towards the sub.

* * *

Carrara - the worst tragedy in Kzuu Mai's (albeit very short) history. The paratroopers and soldiers, the tanks and AA guns, the APCs - they were all annilhilated. The Free Eaglian soldiers and aircraft closed in on the Kzuu Maians the second they were off the transports. The lucky ones were cluster bombed. The unlucky ones were showered with napalm, and ran around screaming before they were shot or drowned themselves in the harbour. The remnants of the paratroopers were finished off immediately, screaming as they fell on the bodies of those killed earlier. The APCs were blown to pieces before they got anywhere, the few soldiers who had managed to get off them being torn limb from limb by the explosions of their transports. The AA guns were mercilessly set upon by the Free Eaglian Aircraft, and lasted all of four seconds. The tanks rumbled through the rubble, looking as if they might achieve something, but it didn't take long for them to be finished, too. Finally, the Kzuu Maian aircraft were shot down, the pilots bailing out hit by machine-gun fire.

DAMAGE:

10,000 paratroopers sent; 10,000 killed.
80 (50 then 30) Kt-12s sent; 80 destroyed
50 Kz-20s sent (30 then 20); 50 destroyed
10,000 soldiers sent; 10,000 killed
50 Tanks (various types) sent; 50 destroyed
100 APCs sent; 100 destroyed
25 AA guns sent; 25 destroyed

* * *

"Shit! What do we do now?" spat Kzuu, staring at the casualty list.

"We wait."

Gayoshi

With the destruction of the Kzuu Maian naval units, it was time to invade the city.

- Commander’s conference

"Here's the plan, We bombard the city's government facilities, town hall, post offices, military bases ect. from the sea. Hit them with cruise missiles, and our big guns on the Battleships. If they do have a military base there, blow it to hell, don't even let an earthworm survive.

Next, we launch a full out air assault against the weakened city. Bomb every last resistant fighter. Try not to harm civilians, but if military units are mixed with civilians then just take them out.

After the air assault, send in the 11th army, (100,000 men) and then the 4th Armored Brigade (over 2,000 armored units, including 750 tanks). Have them storm every building, killing all who resist, and bring the surrendered civilians back to the beachhead. After we take control of the city, and make sure everything is secure then we'll let them back to their homes..."

---------

Missiles and shells were launched into the heart of the city, blowing up government buildings and enemy troops. The LSD-41s let loose their LCAC landing crafts. The LCACs flew over the ocean as the troops waiting anxiously inside for the invasion of Gayoshi. The main group of the LCACs landed at a large tourist beach. The Doors opened, and the troops charge out, some getting shot by resistance forces. Helicopters flew overhead and fired missiles into an apartment complex were resistance forces were firing from. The troops then began storming buildings and take the civilians back to the beachhead. The LCACs headed back to the ships to get the 4th Armored Brigade.

On "Main Street", Resistance forces held their ground, firing from rooftops, upper story windows and the fortified drug store at the end of the street. Resistance fighters on a rooftop threw a Molotov cocktail down onto a squad of Nocdian soldiers setting them ablaze. Medics rushed over and put out the fires, but it was too late for 3 of them. The rest were rushed back to the beachhead via stretchers. A group of 20 Nocdian soldiers kicked down the door of the building where the cocktail was thrown. They searched the 1st level to find a mother and her two children, 2 marines guarded them and would take them to safety after the fight on Main Street was taken care of. The rest of the marines charged up the stairs to the 2nd floor, a couple resistance fighters were there but were easily shredded by the marine’s fire. As the troops head for the stairs to the 3rd floor, resistance fighters on the 3rd floor balcony firing down the stairs halting progress. One soldier carrying Heavy Machine Gun heads under the 3rd floor balcony, and fires upward putting holes into the floor, screams and sounds of bodies falling is heard, along with the sight of the blood seeping throwing the bullet holes in the floor. With that, the Nocdians rush up the stairs and clear the building. They then pop open the trapdoor to the roof. The first Nocdian climbs up and gets immediately shot in the face by resistance fighters. The Nocdians radio in air support, and sure enough less than a minute later helicopters come in and fire a barrage of bullets into the enemy troops. With that, the Nocdians climb onto the roof, take a LAW rocket launcher and fire it into the fortified drug store. They then jump from rooftop to rooftop-attacking resistance fighters. By this time tanks are coming down Main street to help out, along with planes flying to coordinates and bombing enemies hear and there.

“How’s the battle coming lieutenant?”

“It’s going well sir, with our naval and air support on our side, I’d expect to take over the city shortly, there is no word yet of any enemy reinforcements… but the Kzuu Mai forces are sure to come and try to liberate the city from our hands.”

“If and when we take over this city, fortify it and make it our base of operation, also get the 5th fleet (my transporting one) to go get the 12th army, and the 5th armored brigade (100,000 more troops and over 2,000 armored vehicles). Then have them keep going back and forth until all 2,000,000 troops are here (the 6th fleet is only big enough to transport 1 army, 100,000 troops at a time.)”

“Sir, Yes Sir.”

Cararra

The soldiers stood amidst the ruins of the city, momentarily unsure what to do. Then, in a spontaneous act across the city, they laid down their weapons, raised their arms in the air and cheered. The battle was won. The original mechanised regiment from Cararra army base had taken severe losses during the early fighting, but the other units were mostly unhurt, so fast and powerful had been the last strike.

However, the war was not over, and the divisions began a move that would bring them to the hastily reopened port of Curacao, which had not been used for several years, to embark on the troop transports that would arrive within the day.

The 3rd Fleet had been boosted by the final arrival of the 1st Fleet, a far more modern group with much better equipment.

The government of Free Eagles offers a formal apology at the lack of support offered by the FEAF to your air attack on the Kzuu Maian 2nd Fleet. We did not have prior knowledge of your attack, and our fighter aircraft were escorting our own attack force of Scimitar bombers. They were unable to aid AC forces due to air attacks on the Scimitars, and fuel constraints (response to your pleas would require afterburner transit). Again, the Free Eaglian government offers an apology and will compensate those who lost relatives due to this unfortunate communications breakdown.

Aboard SRS Sceptre

Their first six torpedoes had found their marks, and the Sceptre now had a fairly impressive kill list of one carrier, one destroyer, one battleship and four cruisers, with claims to sinking two other carriers.

However, the Kzuu Maian subs were alert this time, and within a minute four torpedoes were headed their way. The sub immediately went to flank speed, deploying decoys every ten seconds. The first two torpedoes were distracted by the decoys but the other two came in strong.

The sub went into a hard right turn, creating a knuckle in the water, with two decoys in the centre. The third torpedo went for the target, only to pass straight through it and find its target had disappeared, running it a straight line until its fuel ran out.

The fourth torpedo stubbornly refused to give up though. No matter how many decoys and turns the Sceptre made, the torpedo still followed them, all the while getting ever closer. The sonar operators removed their headphones, to avoid being deafened if they survived.

The torpedo struck the side of the sub as it went through another turn, opening six compartments to the sea. These were immediately sealed by computer controlled hatches, and though the sub now had a sixteen degree list to starboard, it looked like they were alive. Ramius slowed the sub and ordered them back to the safety of the nearest port for repairs, where they could mourn the twelve sailors who lost their lives in the blast.

The preparations for the invasion of Kzuu Mai were under way. Transport aircraft and ships underwent final maintenance, paratroopers checked their equipment and boarded aircraft, armoured units rolled onto the ships and the navy vessels and air force made sure their equipment was fully ready to support their allies on the ground.

"OK, the border. How shall we crush them?" Kzuu murmured from his permanent state of shock.

"There's an army base - oh, yeah, and airfield an' all - not too far from there. We can probably have an attack ready soon. The airfield doesn't have all it's planes, but some of 'em."

"Send the army. Tanks, whatever."

"Gayoshi? The locals are resisting - God bless brain-washing propaganda - but we're losing, obviously. The naval base is empty, utterly. Coupl'a subs, maybe."

"Right. Send the army there. A lot of 'em. Two, three million - three, actually - we need 'em dead. Air support as well, if possible."

Kaz nodded, then punched a number into his phone. He barked some orders.

"Oh yeah, everyone between 16 and 45 should be part of the army. Everyone from 8 to - ooh, let's say 80, should be part of the workforce. Most of them - making weapons. OK?" said Kzuu.

"Consider it done."

Soldiers marched through the grassy plains towards Kzuu Mai's border, tanks rumbling behind them, and the occaisional helicopter flying overhead.

It was a small force - smaller than they had expected, and the Kzuu Maian army immediately began the assualt.

Gayoshi. The local people put up a fierce fight to the occupying force, but the harsh reality was that they were going to lose. The soldiers sent to reclaim the city would not be there for some time.

Planes suddenly appeared overhead - at least Kzuu Mai's airforce was still mainly intact - and began attacking the Nocdians and their aircraft, but even they were not so confident now they were fighting on home soil.

General Chikara Yuki's forces unleashed a barrage of rounds towards the incoming forces. The original border patrol was decimated, but the army that had just arrived was faring well. Tank after tank was destroyed, along with many soldiers that used them for cover. A few Humvees managed to race forward and unleash a barrage of machine gun fire at the Kzuu Mai soldiers, ripping them apart.
Chikara spoke in his radio, "Alright, Theo. Operation: Mexico is on."
And so while the main Kzuu Mai force was engaged against Yuki's forces, a much larger army led by Gen. Theo Slavin quickly slipped through an unguarded area of the border. They raced forward as quickly as they could, trying to reach the next city, which was reportedly heavily anti-governmental and the site of many of Kzuu Mai's death camps.

Alright, we are fighting over Kzuu Mai's brutl regime. New Grunz launched cruise missiles at Free Eagles, but they surrendered shortly after. Free Eagles and other allies have fought the fleet that attacked Free Eagles, and the Kzuu Mai fleet in Gayoshi. Kzuu Mai bombers have attacked Free Eagle cities, and deployed paratroopers, which have been decimated, as well. Shinbreakers and Anarchic squirrels are duking it out, and I have just attacked Kzuu Mai's western border. I think that's all of it.

Respond please" A chorus of responses came over the link, "Excellent, fire at will!", torpedos streamed at the invasion fleet, twenty-four torpedos were sent at them. The subs blew their ballast and surfaced, opening their balancers, Harrier after Harrier took to the sky, the six subs had deployed 72 fighters.

The preparations for Operation Silver Storm were underway. The southernmost airfields in Free Eagles were crammed full of C-17 Globemaster transports filled with a full infantry division, 4500 soldiers. The two air assault regiments were also waiting at airfields. Yet more transports were full of supplies; ammunition, rations, missiles, everything that would be needed for an invasion.

Also present were the combat aircraft that would make the invasion possible, F-16S fighter-bombers to take out enemy radar installations, F-29A air superiority fighters to eliminate hostile air forces, FB-111 fighter-bombers, A-10 ground attack aircraft and AH-27 attack helicopters to hit enemy forces on the ground, and RF-17A Aurora strategic reconnaissance aircraft to gain valuable intelligence on enemy locations, numbers and movements.

Earlier that day, the huge Ro-Ro transport vessels had left Curacao, accompanied by the 1st and 3rd Fleets and fourteen submarines, headed for an Armandian port, to unload their cargo of three divisions of armoured and mechanised troops. Also mobile were 2nd and 4th Fleets, escorting more Ro-Ro transports to the city of Gayoshi to reinforce the Nocdian forces currently in the city. More Globemasters carried an airborne division to the same city. Several subs also accompanied the battle group, for use both in anti-sub defence and cruise missile strikes.

The invasion was coming, and it would be large.

FENS Bulletin

The nation is celebrating today. The tragedy of Carrara has finally come to an end. FEGF forces, combined with both air and naval units, staged a lightning assault on the newly arrived Kzuu Maians, hitting them before they were off their transports, completely wiping them out. The force took minimal losses and has already been moved on, in preparation for new action. The government has announced a full rejuvenation project for the city, as soon as hostilities conclude. It is expected that the Kzuu Maian government will front much of the cost for this, but the government will make sure the project receives the funding it requires, regardless of the source.

Finally, our nation has some true heroes to celebrate. The crew of the attack submarine SRS Sceptre brought their severely damaged vessel into Curacao this morning, and were greeted by a crowd of cheering civilians. The Sceptre has had the greatest successes of any vessel in the navy. She has sunk a total of seven enemy vessels, with two more unconfirmed kills.

And now, in other news…

Near Hollin

The Grunzian Hellfire missiles were perfectly targeted. The rusted, abandoned old Soviet T-62 tanks were blown to pieces. The members of the 43rd Armoured regiment however, were unharmed. The regiment had been about to start a live-fire readiness exercise to determine its suitability for operations in Kzuu Mai, when the attack started.

The AA-150 Avenger operators immediately swung their launchers around and loosed their SAMs at the enemy helicopters. The Thor AA guns opened up as well, loosing hundreds of rounds within seconds. The Warrior IFVs ploughed through the snow to hit the infantry deployed from the helicopters.

High above, the transports carrying the paratroops were intercepted by Gripen fighters, just after the troops had been released. A warning was sent out and the nearest army units were alerted. AA guns opened up, trying to hit the paratroops as they fell.

At Syktyvkar Air Base

The bomber force was being readied again, following news of a Grunzian fleet in Free Eaglian waters. The fleet had been detected by the SRS Sphinx, an attack sub like the Sceptre. However, in light of the earlier deception by the Grunzians, an RF-17A reconnaissance aircraft was being readied as well, to verify the authenticity of the report. A group of fighter-bombers and fighters were also being prepared, as an extra part of the strike.

Gayoshi

Nocdian troops pushed back the resistance forces to the outskirts of town. With that they start putting up a defensive perimeter.

Meanwhile... Enemy planes flew in and launched various weapons into groups of Nocdian soldiers killing many. Shortly after the arrival of the enemy planes the 200+ Raptors, and the 80 Tomcats took flight and fought it out with the enemy. On the ground, M270's fired they're rockets (12 at a time, 250 M270s all together) along with LAV-ADs, firing they're rockets (8 at a time, 250 LAV-ADs all together, (total of 5,000 rockets can be fired at any time... but that many probably won't be needed. And if that doesn’t work, missiles from my naval units will be fired at the enemy planes until every last one of them is down.)

-------

Nocdian Command ship

“Status Report” said the General leaning back in his chair.

“We have almost total control of the city, with various skirmishes going on in the outskirts of town, enemy planes have arrived but we think we can take care of them with our air defenses.” Replied the 2nd in command

“Good, once the air is secure, let the civilians go back to their homes, but make them stay there. Government rations will be handed out 3 times a day. Send the engineers into the city too, have them restore power and electricity, especially for radios and cable TVs. Block out all Kzuu Maian stations, and only play ours with our own propaganda. Play the video we had our own civilian watch and lets see if their civilians will start supporting us.

Also begin building walls around the city, satellites are picking up a large military group being mobilized. It has to be well over a million soldiers, the only good news is that with that many soldiers it’ll take a long time for them to be completely ready, and they’ll be poorly trained… hopefully. by the time their major force is ready the 12th army and the 5th armored brigade should arrive doubling our force (around 200,000 troops and 4300 armored vehicles total). And if the Kzuu Maians are really slow, the 13th army (another 100,000 troops) might have arrived, but that’s stretching things…”

“Sounds good sir, I’ll give out the orders.”

------

While the commanders were in conference the battle in Gayoshi raged on as Nocdian air defenses clashed with Kzuu Maian fighters. Hopefully soon the battle would be over with the Nocdian flag being raised over city hall…

The huge Ro-Ro transports were now docked in the port, their bow ramps open and wave after wave of Free Eaglian armour drove out. The loading areas had been designated as formation zones, and as each unit formed up, it drove out towards the border. The helicopters were on the decks of the transports, starting the engines and immediately flying off.

A large number of FEAF aircraft had taken up basing at Karbul airport. It would now become the staging point for any air excursions into Kzuu Mai.

The C-17s that had followed the carrier battle group flew inland and dropped their paratrooper division into the city of Gayoshi, as aircraft from the carriers protected them. The transports landed in the city port and started unloading their cargo of armoured units. The first units out were the mobile SAMs and AA guns, as the immediate threat was enemy air units. The transports also had extensive air cover from the two carriers.

The New Grunz fleet, Free Eaglian waters

The Aurora reconnaissance fighter came out of nowhere, riding just forty feet above the waves, and running at full afterburner, giving it a speed of Mach 3.4. It rocketed between the Grunzian vessels, recording data all the time.

“Snow Cat, this is Pegasus Nine. Enemy vessels appear to be for real. I can see movement on deck through the data replay. There are a large number of vessels here, including several transport vessels. Will download full data when I finish the run,” the pilot transmitted to the waiting strike aircraft.

With that, the strike force took to the air. Twelve Scimitar bombers, again loaded with 18 cruise missiles each, twenty-four Aardvark fighter-bombers, armed with four anti-ship missiles, twelve F-16s armed with anti-radar weapons, and thirty six F-15 air superiority fighters to protect against enemy aircraft. A total of 84 aircraft would take part in the strike.

The lumbering B-52 bombers climbed into the air with all the grace and poise of an angry rhinoceros. They were fully loaded with 108 standard ‘dumb’ bombs each and were headed for New Grunz. Normally, the FEAF would not even consider sending B-52s without large fighter escort, but these particular B-52s had some tricks, which eliminated the need for the fighter escort. The Grunzians had a surprise coming…

IC: "New Grunz have launched an attack! They didn't surrender after all!"

Kzuu considered. Other news had also come through; Kraknu, that daft town full of rebellious liberals, had been taken; Gayoshi - Gayoshi! Kzuu Mai's second city! - was just about taken; other attacks were doubtlessly happening as they spoke.

"Pull back. Half the soldiers in the country come to Mai Jun. Get RADAR all over Mai Jun, and AA systems need to be able to shoot any plane that comes down instantly. Aircraft on permanent patrol. They will not take Mai Jun City! EVER!"

"The other half?" asked Kaz, but he knew. "I know, actually."

Kzuu nodded. "Take 'em out. We got transports?"

OOC Sorry I'm here late but could someone post a round up of who's on who's side and why the war started.

Free Eagles, Shinbreakers, History Lovers, AC, me, Nimthescout vs. Kzuu Mai, New Grunz, Anarchic Squirrels 4.

- Naval battles occured with a major loss in Kzuu Maian fleet. Kzuu Mai paradropped in a Free Eaglian city and destroyed it... but all of the Kzuu Maians died. Er-... Free Eagles let loss a big attack on New Grunz's fleet destroying it... and New Grunz surrendered. But at New Grunz's peace talks his ambassador was a suicide bomber and killed everyone else's ambassador... and is now back in the war. I invaded and have taken control of most of Gayoshi, Kzuu Mai's 2nd biggest city, and biggest port city... Free Eagles just reinforced me there. AC invaded Kzuu Mai and has taken a city apparently. And History Lover is attacking Kzuu Mai too. And then Branada just attacked New Grunz's fleet... but isn't on our side yet... or something. Other stuff happened but i don't remember... Kzuu Mai is pulling a huge draft putting like several million in his military, and everyone from 8-80 in the labor force making guns, hopefully his draft force will be poorly trained and will run away/surrender when they fight me ... :D

Oh ya, the war started because Free Eagles and them thought that Kzuu Mai was a corrupted regime. And i put out a fake tape showing how he murdered innocents... but all my civilians think its real and stuff... ya thats all i got.

OOC: Well, I thought I was fighting on the border, but whatever. Thanks for the free city, I guess.
IC: In what was one of the strangest battles in his life, Chikara stood, flabbergasted.
"First they send a million soldiers, and then they pull them out? Alright, contact General Theo. What's the status report on Kraknu?"
A few soldiers dashed into a humvee, and brought out a laptop computer.
"What? Why are you bringing a computer out here? I need a radio, dammit!"
"Sir, it has wireless internet."
"Wireless?"
"Yes, general."
"Great. I just figure out this damned internet thing, and they come up with something new to stump me."
"Sir, can you deliver your message?"
"Alright, let me have it. I'll type it up."
"No need, sir. We have video teleconferencing."
"Wha? Video cone---Augggghhh! Just tell me what to do!"
The image of Gen. Theo Slavin, a man who wore loose black clothes instead of a uniform, long hair instead of a buzzcut, and red paint around his eyes, appeared on screen. Most people would regard him as a madman, but he compensated by being a military genius.
"Helloooooo...Chikara."
"Wha? It's a television...you can talk through?'
"Yes, Mr. Caveman. How's the border battle going?"
"They just packed up and left. What about Kraknu?"
"We lost a few men along the way, but we were greeted as liberators in the town. Hell, we even pulled down a giant statue of their leader, and the citizens hit it with their shoes."
"That sounds strangely familiar..."
"History Lover and Free Eagle forces have arrived, and we're ready to plan the final battle. It's gonna be spifftastic!"
Theo proceeded to dance the macarena.
"STOP IT! General Slavin, calm down, for Christ's sake. Establish a firm military base, and try to get some recruits from the local population. That is all."

Kaz smiled grimly. He punched a number into his phone, and muttered a few quiet orders.

Kzuu Maian soldiers were pouring into Mai Jun City from all directions; tanks rumbled down the streets, planes roared overhead, and boots constantly thumped against the roads. AA systems were being erected by eight year olds and a vast wall around the city by the army. Kzuu watched the activites from his office window. Kzuu Mai may fall, Mai Jun City may fall, but they would remember it.

He opened a drawer in his desk. In it, nestled among the papers like a lizard's egg in a bird's nest, sat a handgun. The gun had only ever carried two bullets, and one of them was in Maya XIV's head. The other, Kzuu had always promised, would end his own life. He removed it from the drawer.

IC: The plan needed to be executed perfectly, without arousing the supsicion of the soldiers crawling through the city, even if it was relatively crude. The materials needed for the plan had been hidden a few miles from Gayoshi by their mystery informant, according to her, and they would be supported once they had completed their preparations. Nocdi, the videos we showed were real, it’s just yours that were fake. Hell, I even had a spec-ops team in Kzuu Mai, filming them. Can’t remember what happened to them. Probably still there.

AC, if anyone has large numbers of infantry we could just take Kzuu Mai city by city. Or my air units could initiate a bombardment campaign on the enemy forces while the ground troops mop up what’s left.

New Grunz, I need to know what’s in your fleet.

IC:
The forces sent to Gayoshi were now fully integrated into defensive positions alongside the Nocdian troops, and the city was virtually under Allied control. However, some of the infantry had noticed strange behaviour among the civilians.

“Echo One, this is Echo Thirteen,” said a young sergeant into his radio, “Uh, we’ve observed some unusual behaviour from some of the civilians.”

“Go on,” replied his CO.

“There’s one woman, who’s been running along the street, knocking on every door, entering every building and emerging again about a minute later. I’ve got a private here who thinks she’s stirring up a resistance. What should we do, sir?”

“Thanks for the heads-up. Keep me informed,” came the response.

“Great, thanks. That really helped,” said the sergeant, without pressing the transmit button. “Keep watching, lads.”

Kraknu, Kzuu Mai

The tanks rolled along the streets, hunting for any resistance. Instead, they were finding citizens coming out and offering their assistance to the Free Eaglian troops. The Armandian forces were reporting similar events.

The border forces engaged by Armandian troops had suddenly vanished, leaving the troops free to enter Kzuu Mai, and they had headed, not unnaturally, for the city of Kraknu, reportedly full of anti-government rebels.

The FEGF forces had linked up with Armandian General Slavin, a man who looked like he had come straight from the 1st Commando regiment, also in Kraknu, and were checking the city together for any resistance.

New Yarensk Army Base, near Hollin

The defence of Hollin would be supported by a wing of helicopters fitted for extended cold-weather flying, an extra two infantry units and a ground attack unit.

All action against the Grunzians was being coordinated from New Yarensk. The B-52s currently over the sea, headed for New Grunz. The strike against New Grunz’s invasion fleet. All of it.

The strike group had been ordered to proceed to the target, while still waiting the data from the Pegasus aircraft. All 84 aircraft were fully refuelled in midair by tankers, then began their attack run.

Alright, as Free Eagles have suggested, let's take this country, city-by-city. All forces in Kraknu, which I believe are Free Eagle and mine, should handle the airfields indicated on Kzuu Mai's map which are East and south of the city. The forces in Gayoshi should also try to take the nearby city of Akasaki, and I believe...History Lovers was attacking Jin. Once we take all of these locations, the march to the capital should be fairly smooth. I've got about 2 million units at my disposal, thanks to recent population growth, and thus reinforcements. Also, Kzuu Mai forces pretty much gave up the border battle, so I have seen little action, which has resulted in low casualties. Our recruitment efforts amongst the populace go well, and soon indigenous fighters will join our cause. This will help us police conquered cities. Finally, I request from all sides a status report on their troop strength, and I inform you that about half of my forces have left towards the western airfield. The other half leaves for the southern one. Once the objectives I suggested are complete, we should be able to strike at the capital from Jini, the airfield between Akasaki and Kraknu, and the airfield south of Kraknu.
That is all.

The citizens of Gayoshi finished their work a few hours after the city was put under lockdown. With not-too-bad coordination, they descended down into the tunnels that had been constructed under the city. They had tunneled out of Gayoshi, picked up the materials that had been hidden, then packed the tunnels full of the explosives. Going back to the site where the explosives had been, they hauled themselves out of the tunnels and into the bright sunlight of the plains. The mayor of Gayoshi stopped for a second, then pressed the remote detonator. On the horizon, the city of Gayoshi shook. The citizens stood in absolute silence - they had just attacked their own homes. Overhead, Kzuu Maian missiles shot towards the city, their target: Gayoshi's stores of food.

"Objective complete." murmured the mayor into a secure phone the informant had given them.

SRS Thunderchild, off the coast of Gayoshi, Kzuu Mai

“Vampires inbound,” screamed a radar operator as the cruise missiles appeared on her screen. The battle sirens went off and within seconds the four cruisers in the fleet were launching wave after wave of SAMs.

Not that it did much good. The cruisers were two kilometres from the shore and the missiles were aimed at the city itself. A few missiles did get hit by the SAMs, a few more by Thor anti-aircraft guns, which had also seen the missiles on radar. But most of the missiles found their targets, and blew the warehouses containing the food stocks apart, killing the soldiers guarding them.

In the city, things were much worse. The Kzuu Maian explosives had collapsed streets, leaving tanks stranded in the ditches. Buildings had been brought down, obstructing the remaining clear paths for the vehicles. Soldiers had been crushed by rubble. The Free Eaglian troops would have a tough time fighting in the city now.
---

Outside Gayoshi

“Sabre Six, this is Wolf Three. I have visual on a large group of civilians, clustered around what appears to be a tunnel entrance. Request orders, over,” transmitted a helicopter pilot.

“Wolf Three, engage, I say again, engage. Those civilians just blew up half the city,” replied the battalion CO.

“Copy. Engaging now.” The pilot selected guns and gently squeezed the trigger, walking the fire along and across the cluster of civilians.
---

Kraknu, north Kzuu Mai

The Free Eaglian troops were preparing to leave Kraknu, and head for the naval base to the east. While it was true that the Kzuu Maian navy was now virtually nonexistent, having the port would allow easier reinforcement and supply of the forces already in Kzuu Mai.
---

Hollin, north Free Eagles

The snowbound city was virtually empty of civilians, a colossal effort having been made the previous night. The only people left in the city were the Free Eaglian forces, well used to the snow and freezing temperatures, and the Grunzian paratroops.
---

Somewhere over the sea, approaching Grunzian coast.

The B-52s rumbled on, so far unimpeded in their progress to their targets. The mighty aircraft had been airborne for several hours now, encouraging boredom among the crews. Radio silence had been strictly ordered, so the crews were finding ways to distract themselves.

“I spy, with my little eye something beginning with… C,” said the gunner.

“Cloud,” replied the co-pilot.

“Damn. How d’you know?” asked the gunner.

“’Cause that’s all we can see for miles around us. Clouds, clouds and more clouds, that’s why. Dumbass.”

The entire city shook as the mines were detonated in the tunnels. Roads collapsed dropping tanks in the underground to be stuck there. Troops were killing in the explosions, and from falling debris. But the civilians took the worst of it, a huge apartment complex went down killing at 1000 people in just that area. Thousands more were killing around the city. And then the food stores were destroyed leaving half the city starving.

------

"Status Report." Said the general leaning back in his chair.

"Half the city was blown up!" replied his assistant

"What!?!?!?"

"Some civilians rigged explosives in tunnels and detonated them. Then missiles struck food warehouses."

"Civilians did this? They hurt their own people..."

"Mostly residential areas were hit, the walls we built are still intact, and most of our troops were guarding those, we lost approximately 5,000+ troops in their attack, along with various armor units."

"5,000 troops, damn... good thing the reinforcements arrive today. What about civilian casualties?"

"Over 10,000 civilians were killed, and the rest of the city is starving."

"Shit, put some propoganda out there, get them on our side, now is the time to do it."

-----

On all radio, television channels in Gayoshi

"The damaged caused to the city was created by civilians like yourselves. They have killed thousands of innocents, and are the reason your food rations have gone down to 1½ rations a day instead of 3. They hit a large amount of food warehouses diminishing our supplies. So when your children die of starvation, the only person to blame is your neighbors, and the government of Kzuu Mai for orchestrating these attacks. It is their fault that you are now suffering, and they don't even care about you. This attack wasn't against the Nocdian military no, if it was troop formations would have been hit, but instead they hit the food supply for the civilians. This attack was against you.

If you want to prevent future attacks it would be wise to report it to the local authorities. So we can prevent the attacks, which will save lives, your lives, and your children’s lives.”

Pictures come on the screen showing of the destruction of the city, with pictures of dead civilians and children…

----

The City shifted slightly in their alignment... they are now favoring Nocdi slightly more.

----

Large cranes were used to lift tanks out of the destroyed roads. And rescue workers worked feverishly to save troops and civilians that were trapped under debris.

Engineers and troops searched the tunnels for any more explosives, and when the all clear was set, they closed the tunnels so no one could sneak in or out of the city by them.

Reinforcements arrived doubling the amount of troops there.

The 3rd fleet (another 4 carriers) has been assigned to help out in Kzuu Mai. Their mission along with the 6th fleet (my 120 sub fleet) are to blockade the entire nation making sure no supplies get in or out of Kzuu Mai. The blockade should begin within the NS week.

I'll be gone for a couple of hours because i have to go to work, i'll be on later tonight.

OOC: Free Eagles, it's an air field. And my general plan is that we should try to occupy the three points that form a triangle around the capital. Kzuu Mai, how well defended is the airfield east and south of kraknu?
A force of 900,000 (OOC: note: I took the standard route of 1% population in military, and since I have a tiny navy, I have a lot of ground forces. So no whining. Nya.) men, with another 50,000 armored Humvees, 20,000 "Stryker" armored vehicles, and 30,000 M1 Abrams tanks rolled towards the south, plowing through the dusty fields. As they travelled towards the airfield south of Kraknu, they were often seen by Kzuu Maian citizens. Many fled in fear, while others swore and cursed. Others still gathered the courage for makeshift attacks.
The convoy was passing through a relatively peaceful farming village. The citizens waved at them, and as they approached a small avocado farm, a little girl with brown locks stood in front of a humvee.
Five soldiers, led by Colonel Jackson, approached her.
"Hey, kid. We've got a job to do..."
The girl was silent, but she walked forward with a solemn look on her face and held up a small, pink flower to Jackson.
For a moment, his iron wrought face melted.
"Thanks, swe--AHHGAGAH!"
The girl exploded. The flames ripped apart five soldiers, and the shrapnel hit the Humvee's fuel tank, destroying it.
"Dammit! It's an ambush!"
Village people rushed out from avocado fields, wielding shotguns. An old gramps aimed his "boomstick" and blasted the brains out of a soldier. His comrade rolled out of the way, and hurled a grenade at the old man, shredding him to pieces. The farmers managed to inflict early casualties, due to the element of surprise, but they were untrained and easily slaughtered.
"Is that it?"
A strange hum filled the sky. They looked up, and saw a rattled propeller driven plane zipping across the blue. It opened its hatch, and a green gas began to pour out of it.
"Dammit! Pesticides! Its a crop duster!"
Most of the men got inside, or put on their masks. A few weren't so lucky. They clutched their heads, twitching and convulsing in pain. Finally, after the gas cleared, the others got out and observed the horribly scarred remains of five of their comrades.
General Chikara Yuki reared his head outside of his tank, and said,"That's no pesticide. Somehow these farmers cooked up a nerve poison. These people are going to fight to the very end, with every trick in the book. Dammit, once we take out the official government, we're going to have to deal with people like him..."
He looked at the grizzled body of a farmer wielding a shotgun, and at the remains of the child sucide bomber.
"People who are unrestrained by the rules of war and ethics, people who will use little girls as suicide bombers and pollute our lungs with Sarin gas. People with no past, no present, and no future. People whose only goal...is to kill."

AC- No. Look at Kzuu's map again. There's a naval base north-west of the airfield, at the mouth of the river. Jeez. After taking that, then I'll take the airfield.
And my navy is even smaller. I have five carriers across the whole navy!

Kzuu, does the naval base on the north coast have a name? And the island air base off Gayoshi coast?

IC:
East of Kraknu, north Kzuu Mai

The Free Eaglian commander had just listened to the report of the civilian attack on Armandian troops.
“Nerve gas…” He shook his head, fully aware that a similar attack could hit his troops at any moment. He found his radio.
“All units, listen up. A group of civilians just attacked Armandian forces with nerve gas. I want all units to wear respirators or seal your vehicles,” he ordered.
The infantry grumbled momentarily, as the respirators were hot and uncomfortable, but then stopped as they thought of the effects nerve gas would have on them.

They had already passed through several villages, and had seen virtually no-one. Most of the civilians were either hiding inside their homes or cowering in public buildings. They had received a few hostile looks and gestures, but almost as many friendly and supportive ones.

Gayoshi, Kzuu Mai

With the help of Nocdian heavy lifting equipment, the vehicles stranded in the newly formed depressions were lifted out and returned to solid ground. The few that suffered severe damage were sent back to the harbour to undergo repairs on board the transport vessels.

The engineers reported their sector of the city secure, with all tunnels destroyed. The troops began feeling safer again, although they were hungrier too. The city food stocks had been supplementing their rations and were no longer available, as every scrap was needed to feed the remaining population.

Wolf Three, the helicopter pilot who had slaughtered the civilians had attended a quick psychological examination after he landed, to assess his mental wellbeing following his mission. He had declined further tests, choosing instead to go back out and do his job.

With the arrival of more Nocdian troops, the two air assault regiments had been withdrawn from Gayoshi, their helicopters now destined for the island airbase off the coast. Support would come from the carrier aircraft and the subs, with their cruise missiles. If this airbase could be taken, re-supplying the forces in Gayoshi would be far easier, and far greater air protection could be offered.

"OK, Harper, take a third of the force and go do some peacekeeping. Assist our allied nations there, relieve their injured, give medical support, that sort of thing."
"Not a problem sir."
"And Harper. You know the Rules of Engagement. Do not fire upon civilians unless you are fired upon. The last thing we need is a full scale uprising."

He turned to the Commanding Officer of the 2nd third of the army. "Adams, take your lot back to Shinbreakers, the President isn't feeling too safe."
"Yes Sir." He snapped a quick solute(how the hell do you spell that? ) and left the tent.

"OK, Bell, we're in joint command of the attacking force of our men. Establish temporary lodgings for the troops, and get me a line to the head of the Free Eagles forces here. and send someone to History Lovers and Nocdi aswell, to arrange a meeting of the Commanders, we need to get a plan in action here."

OOC: OK, looking at the other allied forces i've culled my numbers a bit. I know have 50,000 ready men for the assault on the capital. Along with this are two armoured groups, consisting of 50 Challenger II and Steigler Mark V's each. Also i have an artillery battalion, and possible air support.

Half my army are entering the capital. The other half are standing around waiting for something to do.

AC: That airfield is not too well defended; AA guns, planes obviously, but not many foot soldiers.

Free Eagles: That Naval base can be called...um...Port Kra. The airfield can be called Jun Airbase.

I think that's all the questions answered.

IC: Kzuu appeared on television to the nation of Kzuu Mai.

"Kzuu Mai, today I have learned of one of the worst atrocities of our time. The great city of Gayoshi was heartlessly attacked with explosives and missiles. 10,000 innocent Kzuu Maians died! And worse, they are now using completely untrue propganda to blame some of Gayoshi's own citizens! These nations - Free Eagles, Nocdi, Shinbreakers, Armandian Cheese - they don't care for our people. Men, women, even children, it didn't matter to them, they were all slaughtered in cold blood. I have also discovered that a force of Armandian Cheesian soldiers blew to pieces an innocent little girl who had offered them a flower, and used nerve gas against innocent farmers. Citizens of Kzuu Mai, these people are martyrs. All of them. Wherever you are, wherever you go, resist these nations' imperialist, brutal takeover. Fight them, and remember Gayoshi."

The cameras stopped rolling and the crew were hastily ushered out. Kaz appeared from a corner.

"Masterfully done, Lii, masterfully done. You looked honest enough, too."

"They trust me, Kaz. Fools."

“Bastards,” swore Major-General Dyer, slamming his fist against the wall. “And this is partly my fault. If Wolf Three hadn’t been ordered to hit those civilians, this wouldn’t have happened.”
“Sir, with all due respect, I think it would have happened anyway. If Wolf Three hadn’t hit them, it’s my opinion that there was a Kzuu Maian force out there who would just happen to be using the same type of ammunition as us, and would ‘accidentally’ have killed the civilians,” said one of the advisors.

“Peoples of the world. The statement released by Lii Dan Kzuu earlier is a false one, aimed at stirring distrust between our nations. The city of Gayoshi was attacked by a rebel force of citizens, and this force was later engaged, as happens in war.
“The supposed Armandian nerve gas attack is also a fake. At the beginning of this conflict, I stood before you and said, and I quote, ‘The Allies will condemn the use of all weapons of mass destruction, be they nuclear, biological or chemical, as an act of evil equal to that of Satan himself.’
“It is well known that my own nation despises these weapons and has no stockpiles of any kind, the opinion of the public decided this stance. It is also known that the Allied nation of Armandian Cheese does indeed possess stockpiles of chemical weapons similar to those used in the alleged attack.
“I would like to make it clear that these weapons have been carefully monitored by an independent team from a collection of neutral nations. There have been no stocks of these weapons removed from storage.
“Finally, I would like to assure Lii Dan Kzuu that his use of these weapons will not be overlooked. His corrupt regime will fall, and he will be hunted down and captured so that he may atone for these crimes against humanity.

Approaching Port Kra, Kzuu Mai.

The lead elements of the force began to encounter light infantry resistance as they neared the base, probably just the security detachment. The initial resistance was driven off with a round of shelling from the Rapier battle tanks.

Recon helicopters had reported the base nearly abandoned, very few ships and almost no activity. It was beginning to look like an easy victory for the Free Eaglian troops. However, Brig.-Gen. Roxanne Prior was taking no chances. Her force was proceeding rapidly, but carefully, reconnoitring everything before they planned anything.

Over Jun Airbase, off Gayoshi, Kzuu Mai

The F-16 fighter-bombers zoomed in low over the water, and fired their anti-radar missiles at the radar sites and SAM sites. Straight behind them were FB-111 fighter-bombers, sprinkling cluster bombs over the anti-air guns and remaining SAM sites.

Overhead, F-14 fighters cruised, ready to intercept any Kzuu Maian aircraft that got of the ground.

Then the helicopters arrived, their precision weaponry hitting individual aircraft and other enemy forces, without damaging the base facilities, such as the runway, the hangars and the accommodation. The FEAF wanted this base to support its operations in Gayoshi, and the eventual march to Mai Jun City.

The transport helicopters with the infantry were on their way, complete with F-18s for fighter cover.

Any attack on Free Eagles was never going to happen, and the rest of the Kzuu Maian army had been split up into small groups, intended to harass but not really destroy the enemies' forces, like half the airforce.

Ok. I'm sorry. I'm reading your thread and it seems the people with the planes(all of you maybe) have some misunderstanding. You see. I'm in the US Navy. F-14's are no longer in use for attack purposes. They are used for long range intercept and also bomber missions. F-18's are taking over the F-14 roles and the F-14 will be phased out of the US Military entirely. Bad move for us but still they are being phased out. F-14's would not be the first thing launched from carriers. F-18's will be due to their newly acquired role. F-14's rarely even exist in the US military's or even any military armament at all. You guys might want to rethink what you're using because your RP is kinda messed up considering the fact you're all using the wrong type of weapons, ships, and aircraft for all the wrong jobs. And I hate to tell you this but with cruisers sitting so close to the city it wouldn't matter how many missles hit the warehouses. Because of a navy ship being able to support an entire city for 3 months by itself. A cruiser can do that. An aircraft carrier can support a large city for nearly a year. Not to mention that battleships aren't even used in any navy in the world to date. It's all destroyers, cruisers, SSN's, SSBN's, SSGN's, and aircraft carriers. Plus the fact that all naval ships, at least by US standards, are equipped with the SEAWIS rotary gun which is 6 feet tall and 6 feet around. It fires 1000 rounds a second. It's primary purpose is to defend the ship up to a 5 mile radius for cruisers and destroyers. For carriers it's a 10 mile radius. Those missles wouldn't stand a chance being the SEAWIS is used to destroy those missles and all objects heading for the ship. Carriers only use the F-14 as a chaser against missle attacks and destroy them before they even get within 3 miles of an carrier. So to end this ramble that I have probably pissed you all off in I have to say this. Do your research before you RP or else it'll just be plain stupid.

OOC: Guys, I have more troops than you do, but considering the fact that it fits under the umbrella of 1% population, and that Kzuu previously stated that the capital's defense forces are in the millions, I'll cull my troop levels to one million, minus ten soldiers and one humvee lost in the farm ambush. Half of them are in Kraknu, while the other half is attacking the air base south of Kraknu. Oh yeah, since Free Eagles took the name Jun Airbase for the base near Gayoshi, what is the name of the base south of Kraknu?
"There she is."
"Who?"
"The airbase, you dolt."
"Why is it a she?"
"It's soldier talk, moron. Now, get to work."
Gen. Chikara shooed away an aide as he stared at the airbase. It was lightly defended, thanks to Kzuu Mai's consolidation of defenses into the capital. A few AA guns, a small batch of troops, and of course, air forces. It would be nice to capture a few of the planes, but it seemed unlikely.
"Men! Load up the artillery we found in Kraknu! It ain't much, but it should handle those AA guns. The rest fo you, we're gonna do this...How do you youngsters say it...Old University? Aged Colledge?"
A soldier loading an artillery shell yelled at the general.
"Old school, sir!"
"Ah yes. We shall do this "old school", and perform a blitzkreig. I need those humvees mounted with AA platforms, and then we move out. Send 20,000 infantry, 200 M1 Abrams, 200 Armored Vehicles, and 300 Humvees, a hundred of those with AA platforms, out under the command of General Slavin, after the artilerry bombardment."
With that command, soldiers ran to their defenses, bracing themseleves for the shelling. The artillery units slammed their rounds into the cannons, and...
"FIRE!"
BLAM!
"FIIIIIREEEE!"
BLAAAAMMM!
"FOR SCOTLAND!"
"Whaaaa?"
"I always wanted to say that. Now, FIRE!"
And so, "by the dawn's early light" and the "rockets' red glare" the "bombs were bursting in the air". The cannons unleashed their hellish armaments, smashing into distant targets, their bright flames consuming the night sky. The army stood, silent. All of the cursing, joking, arguing, gambling, fighting, and crying of the army stopped for that moment as they simply stood, like children, in awe of the destructive beauty.
"Are we getting them, Theo?"
"How the hell---even though I am an Atheist and do not believe in hell, and am simply using a popular expression---would I know? Just wait and see if the AA guns are knocked out."
The bombardment continued, ending only "by the dawn's early light."

F-22's are good for air superiority. It's their primary role. The F-14's aren't really good for backup. But as far as the F-22 goes it's a real good multi-purpose fighter/bomber. Nearly as good a fighter as the F-16, but being that the 16 has a faster turn rate than the 22, the 16 ultimately is the best air superiority fighter while the 22 is lagging behind by only a few points on the govt.'s scale. It works for fast action responses though. But the only problem is that the F-22 cannot be launched from carriers. That's why the navy uses F-18's more than any other. The F-18 has two purposes mainly
One is the attack fighter purpose. It has the ability to launch faster than the F-14. Two is the bomber purpose. It has the ability to carry nearly as much weight as the F-14 but it's about minus 1k lbs. in that area. That's why the Navy has created the F-18 "Super Hornet". It's pretty much an F-14 base with the F-18 specifications bulked up. As far as the F-22 goes the plane is used mainly for air superiority. Now I'm not really able to talk much more on the subject on the SEAWIS being that most of the design and specs are still classified. If you want to know what it looks like then look for the little turret on the top of the cruiser or destroyer that looks like R2-D2. It's the nickname for it really, R2-D2. It has a shocking resemblance. Well gentlemen take care because I have to stop this for awhile. VADM Harms has come for a visit to the base and I have to do my security duties and escort him around. Lamura, I use F-14s because the carrier that has them is an old Kitty Hawk class, and hasn't been replaced by modern designs yet. And everything I've used planes/tanks/boats for, that design is capable of doing. I am fully aware of the capabilities.
As for the missiles, they were fired at extreme short range, leaving minimal response time, explaining why most got through. Our ships were fitted with older CIWS Phalanx guns, which are short range, the missiles would have been out of range (targets were inland).
Now get the hell out of this thread! If you want to complain, do it in the OOC thread.

The tanks sat in the streets, having practically just walked into the city. They had encountered a security detachment of about 100 infantry, but other than that, which had been quickly defeated, they had met no opposition. The port was theirs, the fleet already headed towards it to resupply the ground troops.
---

Jun Airbase, off Gayoshi, Kzuu Mai

Like their compatriots at Port Kra, the aerial assault troops had landed at the base, fought off a small security detachment, incuring minimal casualties, and then detained the pilots with ease. The few intact enemy aircraft were being examined by intel specialists for valuable information.

Already FEAF aircraft were landing at the base and preparing for other operations into Kzuu Mai.
---

The members of the Defence Council were of course pleased with the progress of their forces, but they all had a question on their lips. 'Where had the Kzuu Maian military machine gone?' It was well known that a large number of troops had been moved to the capital, Mai Jun City, but surely not all of them. This raised a second question, 'Was Lii Dan Kzuu really that stupid to believe that he could protect his capital without defending the rest at all?' All it would acheive would be an indefinite build-up of Allied troops ready to take the city, preceeded by massive air strikes to soften them up first. The Allies could just encircle the city, and spend months building up troops and the Kzuu Maians would be unable to stop them.

Kaz silently drew out a gun and shot Kzuu several times in the head. The former dictator's body slumped forwards onto his desk, spilling blood on the map of Kzuu Mai he had been studying. Kaz lifted the body and unceremoniously threw it out into the corridor, just as guards who had heard the shot rushed to the scene.

"I'm in charge now, OK?" he said, pointing the gun at the middle guard."Kzuu was shot by a fighter, most likely from Free Eagles. You understand?"

They nodded, and left.

Kaz looked down at the corpse. "You were an idiot, Lii. A fool, to think we could defeat them from the capital."

SECURE TRANSMISSION

Re: Kzuu's death

Lii Dan Kzuu is dead. His tactics and idiocy were going to cause the deaths of the vast majority of Kzuu Mai - he needed to die before he could carry out his plans. I look forward to an end of this war, and Kzuu's death is the opportunity to do so. We do not offer you our surrender - we offer you peace. If you refuse it, we will fight.

Happy Christmas

OOC: Kzuu, why'd you only send that transmission to Free Eagles? There are other members of the Alliance, like me. I still don't know that Kzuu is dead.
Also, about the military: isn't it realistic that small countries have to use planes for different jobs than what they are intended for because they do not have the resources of the United States. Also, since I am using Soviet tech cerca World War 2, I do NOT have cruisers with such capabilities

IC:
Transmission to Lii Dan Kzuu:

We are proposing peace between History lovers and Kzuu Mai
Terms:
A Constitutional Government is established.
Kzuu Mai and History lovers exchange ambassadors
Kzuu Mai grants History lovers the port of Jini for what you consider a 'fair price' to rent for use as a naval and aerial base for History lovers.
Please send back with your counter-offer, Lii Dan Kzuu

Lii Dan Kzuu is dead. I, Kalaya Sun, former War Secretary, have taken over governing Kzuu Mai until a stable, democratic government is installed. We accept your offer of a peace treaty, and we will exchange ambassadors and install a constitutional government. Jini will remain part of Kzuu Mai, but you may keep your forces there in times of peace for a price which shall be discussed later.

Of course. We only meant that the port inside of Jini and airfields around Jini could be used by History lovers for aircraft and our navy. The city would fall completely under your jurisdiction.

Merry Christmas!

The Nocdian government would like to propose a peace agreement with Kzuu Mai as well.
Nocdi's only conditions

1. Kzuu Mai and Nocdi exchange ambassadors/embassies
2. Kzuu Mai opens up trade with Nocdi, but Nocdian companies are not tariffed by Kzuu Maian government.

If you would like to negotiate the terms that is fine, I look forward to your response.

Fm: Free Eagles Senate

1. The Free Eaglian government would accept a peace treaty in principal, so long as Kzuu Mai adheres to the terms set out in the original transmission:

...the immediate release of all prisoners, political or otherwise, that are being held without charge or fair trial for their crimes. In addition, we expect a formal statement of apology issued and the persecution of all minority populations to cease.

2. In addition to this we request use of the airbase at Jun Airbase, and permission for Free Eaglian vessels to use Port Kra. (This is open to negotiation).

Our troops will remain in Kzuu Mai for a period not exceeding one week to ensure compliance with Article One. Our engineers regiments will be available if you request assistance repairing the damage done during the conflict.

Looking forward to your response,

OOC- Yeah everyone did a good job, especially Free Eagles and Kzuu Mai.

IC- With the Peace Agreement signed the Nocdian troops start to pack up for their return voyage home. The troops rejoice for they will see their loved ones again soon... even if it'll take anywhere from 2 weeks to a month to bring all the troops back home.

The blockade is lifted as the 3rd and 6th fleets return home. The 1st and 2nd fleet will stay with the troops until all leave Kzuu Mai for protection incase this is a ploy by the Kzuu Maian government.

OOC: Congratulations to everyone on the RP. You all did extremely well, despite my poor abilities.
We shall agree to a peace treaty under all of the terms called for by the other allies, and these extra ones.
A. You recall the statement blaming us for atrocities.
B. You root out the terrorist cell near Nagishi airbase that used nerve gas.
C. War tribunals are established to try all war criminals, especially those responsible for the oppression of Kzuu Maian peoples and the people involved in the Gayoshi terrorist attack.
D. Use of the airbase in Nagishi.
E. Allow us to maintain a small base in Kraknu, to make sure the peace treaty is not violated and because many of our troops have befriended the local populace.
F. Kzuu Maian citizenship for any Armandian soldiers that have entered into marriage with your citizenry.
G. Full trade with your nation.
H. You allow us to wish your people a merry christmas!

IC: Maximus Quinteros sighed and removed his beret. Many brave troops of Shinbreakers had died in the conflict, and he was glad it was over. He looked at the telegram before him, telling him to declare his peace terms with the former enemy. Simple enough. "Harper, in here now."

"Sir"
"Take this down and send it to the new leader of Kzuu Mai. 'Here are the Shinbreakers term of peace, and declaration of intentions.
Term 1: That we can get the hell out of this place and let the others do the talking, without any political mumbo-jumbo on our part.' You get all that?"
"Aye Sir", the sergeant smirked, and left the tent.

I agree with January, although my availability at that time may be low- I have modular exams throughout January. Failing that, February. Or start your own and allow me to take a small part (or back out completely).

I have one criticism: I think land forces numbers may have been a little large (but I'm not sure). I'll look into this.
Armandian Cheese
26-12-2004, 20:18
OOC: Actually, I thought they were a little small. (Except for Kzuu Mai.) You're supposed to have 1% of the population in the army, giving me for example two million.
Nocdi
27-12-2004, 10:08
I have over 900,000,000 people in my nation. 1% of 900,000,000 is 9,000,000 though. I have an army size of 5 million, 3 million are in the reserves. I only set up 2 million to be used in this war... only 200,000 actually saw combat though (my transport fleet can only carry 100,000 at a time).
Armandian Cheese
27-12-2004, 20:10
Most NS nations use the 1% measure.
Free Eagles
27-12-2004, 22:06
True. I suppose I'm basing my opinions on RL nations (even China and N. Korea don't have standing armies that large). As I said, I'll look into it.
Do your 1% figures (eg. Nocdi- 9,000,000) spread across all three branches of the armed forces, because they probably should.
Armandian Cheese
27-12-2004, 22:24
North Korea doesn't have anything near the population most NS countries do, (despite having almost 5% of their pop. in the military) and China doesn't need a military that is 1% since 2.5 million is a huge sum in the real world. However, in the NS world, people laugh at such puny forces.

Yeah, except in my case the navy is nonexistant. Also, air forces don't consume as much manpower as the army does. (One can only have so many planes.)
Free Eagles
27-12-2004, 22:59
...air forces don't consume as much manpower as the army does...
Yes... but each plane requires at least three times as many support personnel as it does aircrew. 75% of air force personnel are support (& admin).
Plus my air force is larger than most (what with planes being able to do everything that ground/naval forces can do -except hold territory & project power- these days).

And I was unaware of the NS bias towards stupidly large forces (which is why my land force deployments in the RP may have been rather small).

OOC: Maybe some of you would be interested in a terrorist RP I'm planning.
My terrorist group, ARADNAR, wants to isolate History lovers and the rest of my region (Elasmus Islands)from the rest of the NS World. It also wants to establish a kingdom that rules History lovers and the region.
Possible attacks it would make:
Embassies within the region
Embassies in other countries from the region
Large cities and population centers in the region
Large population centers in nations friendly to History lovers.

For more info on ARADNAR, look on the message board in my region.

Well, NS tends to have stupidly large nations.

OCC: Umm you do know that numbers rarely guarantee victory in a real war, since armies don't just run straight at each other, guns blazing. Like with the attack I tried to counter, only one attack wing of harriers would have done heavy damage to the numericly superior enemy force despite being tiny in military terms. Strategy and tactics are what win wars. I bought my military in divisions so no one can really argue with its size, its not huge anyway.
Free Eagles
29-12-2004, 20:56
Branada is perfectly correct, although in real terms a full attack wing of aircraft is actually quite large when used for a single attack. In RL such an attack would be carried out by at most 2 or 3 squadrons (w/ 4 anti-ship missiles per plane).

History lovers, may I suggest upgrading your military. The MiG-19 is not only obsolete, it is the only MiG variant not in service somewhere in the world at this time. (Believe it or not MiG-15 and -17 are still in service).
The Republic of Free Eagles may be able to provide a small number of F-16 fighter-bombers to get you started.
WW2/early-Cold-war tech is fine, but it is extremely outdated in most NS theatres.

I'm OK with my made up planes, right? I don't know anything about real planes. Sorry about the 5% thing - I thought that was the amount, but it would have been truly huge. Anyway, 1% of my nation's population is about 11 million, so I'll have that many.

29-12-2004, 22:00
Hey, History lovers is a little backward. Heck, I planned to use Japanese Zeroes if the fighting came to History lovers. The thing is, I created on my information site (which some have told me is not working) the story about my region. Ruled by a Communist until '95, it is on it's second democratic president. But my forces are in the midst of upgrading our air force. Remember, my J-33 hyper-advanced aircraft helped defend Shinbreakers from a large-scale attack. I only have five so far, but soon there will be more.
Free Eagles
29-12-2004, 22:07
Kzuu, for someone who knows nothing about real planes, yours are scarily close to real life types.
You may want to upgrade them slightly (check out RL designs for rough stats).

History lovers, use something a little less advanced than the J-33 as a standard aircraft (like the US: standard F-15, advanced F-22)
History lovers
30-12-2004, 15:50
I am working on making a brand new standard aircraft. My economy is in the dumps, however. And not because of military spending.

We only even HAVE a military because we were once ruled by a MILITARY DICTATOR.

I will upgrade as soon as possible, however.
