Hitler was a great military tactician. He was also a brutal psychopath that took enjoyment from others suffering.

great military tactician.... if you consider that every battle he personally commanded, i.e. the Battle of the Bulge and the Russian Invasion failed miserably I think not. If Hitler had simply let his Generals do their job Germany would have probably taken Russia easily and might have even fended off the allies, he was a miserable failure in the military realm of his empire and it proved to be his downfall.

Ok I am not defending Hitler but he was on so much medication. Look at the blitz creek he took of continental Europe in a little over three years. He also pioneered the use of large armor movements.

Blitz Creek? That's funny...
Anyway, I have an IC reason for invading you(Or I will, once my nation stablizes): Crimmond is, has always been and will allways be a warmongering state and has a history of invading nations on whims, normally devastating said nation and then leaves to rebuild or invade another nation.
You see, I have the simplist reason ever: Because we don't like you, you must be punished. But by the time Crimmond is stablized, I'll have forgotton about you, probably.

Once again, it was not his idea but his Generals'.

OOC: This thread has nothing to do with Hitler, and it's spelled blitzkrieg (Gernamn for 'lightning war'), not 'blitz creek'.
Oh, and Camel Eaters: unless you make that first post an actual advertisment for your other thread (like a commercial or something), the mods are going to nail you for spam. Just a heads up.

OCC: Actually, he would have succumbed to one of two things:
1) The cold. It was really cold. That's the big thing with Russia. It's cold. Really cold. Especially during the winter.
2) The Steamroller. It's an old Russian advantage: a limitless supply of conscript soldiers. Even if Hiter was able to take Stalingrad, Leningrad, and Moscow, he still would be left with a huge wilderness filled with huge numbers of soldiers waiting to spring up and attack.

Actually, if he had listened to his generals and bypassed Stalingrad and freed up the huge 5th Army the Germanswould have made it to the Urals and taken all production facilities with it before the depths of winter set in, rendering the USSR unable to continue to make war (The Russians onlt got a chance to move their factories becuase the German offensive stalled because he chose to divert thousands of troops and materials into taking a strategically unimportant city.)
