Communism banned, executions follow

Belka

Republic News Center

An image of the Belkan flag shoots on screen, and fades away, revealing a clean looking news room. A man and a woman sit behind the desk.

"I'm Boris Molotov, and you're watching RNC. In a stunning act in the name of the Republic, our Great Leader, General Ivan Narmonov, has hereby banned the practice of the vial plague known as communism."

The camera switches to a view of the Belkan capital, Belka City, as tanks and APCs roll through the streets, and infantry burst into the houses of suspected communists.

"Approximately 50,000 of these subhumans are living in our fair nation, choking the air with their vial propaganda. They are all being held in undisclosed locations, and are awaiting judgment by our Great Leader."

The channel goes to a commercial after that last statement.

Camp 001, Belkus Mountains, Southern Belka

"I'm not sure, colonel, the men seem uneasy about this job." stated an old captain by the name of Popov. His colonel, Igor Alexeyevich Antonov, replied in his usual grandfatherly tone.

"Popov, my friend, the men will carry out their duties without fail. They all know of the horrible crimes the subhumans have commited."

"But resorting to this-" Antonov cut him off.

"Now listen, captain," replied the colonel in a more authorative tone, "you will carry out your orders, for the Glory of the Republic." he had him there.

"Yes, colonel." replied the captain, exiting the warm office out to the freezing camp grounds. It was snowing, as it should be a 10,000 feet above sea level. The camp was fairly simple, six barracks buildings holding 50 people each. He motioned for his guards to assemble.

The men were equiped mostly with AK74s and RPK74s, but there were a few with PKMs. They would be doing most of the gruesom work. The men stood around in the snow, quite comfortable in their winter uniforms. The men would be difficult to see in their snow white uniforms out in a blizzard, not that it mattered.

"Men, you know our orders. None of us particularly like this job, but by the orders of our Great Leader, we must do our part to purge this Red Plague from the land." said the captain over the blowing wind. The men all nodded in agreement. They dispersed, getting the prisoners from their barracks. They were brought to a barbed wire enclosure at the center of the camp, all 300 of them. 50 meters to the north of the enclosure was a sandbag enbankment, where the machinegunners were stationed.

The prisoners were all quaking in their boots, not from fear, but from the cold outside. None of them had gotten the chance to bring winter clothing.

Finnaly, with a solemn look upon his face, the captain raised his right arm, and the men behind the sandbags cocked their weapons. Riflemen standing around the enclosure shouldered their AKs. The prisoners now knew what was happening, and attempted to climb the twenty foot fence of the tiny pen. The captain dropped his arm, and the wintery silence was broken by gunfire, and the screams of threehundred people as they were ripped apart by machinegun and rifle fire.

Presidential Palace, Belka City

General Narmonov was enjoying the company of his wife, Tanya, when his minister of defence entered his office.

"General, message from camps one through five, all disedents eliminated on scedual."

The general stood up, a big grin on his Slavic face.

"Excelent, Sergey, how goes the round ups?"

"All on scedual, the remaining traitors are being taken to camps as we speak."

"Good. Those bastards will finaly taste our vengeance..."

The leaders of your nation will only look like a brutal regime that desires to kill its own people. While the communist will be see as freedom fighters

We are a capitalist nation. And will fight and defend Capitalism till our dieing breath. But their has to be a better way to fight communist then just slaughtering them. Maybe just deport them like we do here in Pantheaa

"Sir, I think you may want to have a look at this," a young agent said while turned, facing the man in charge of the Nascent Intelligence Agency's potential threats division.

"My lord," the man said as he walked toward the moniter the agent was stationed at, his eyes never leaving the monitor as he watched as soldiers from the nation of Belka drive down streets in armored vehicles, rounding up any suspected communists. "How long ago was this broadcasted?"

"About four hours ago sir," the agent replied.

"Get this to headquarters, tell them that this may be something they need to look at." The man said this while writing a note onto a small pad of paper. Tearing the note from the pad, he handed it to another agent who had came into the room as he watched the video. "Take this, and the tape to Supervisor Richards at the NIA headquarters, and get it there as fast as possible."

The agent nodded and quickly exited the room, letting the door slam behind him.

A couple hours later the agent handed Supervisor Richards the tape and slip of paper. Reading the paper, and looking at the title of the video, Richards took out a pen and a pad of paper and wrote:

Jenkins,
We are well aware of the situation as the telecommunications division notified me of this almost four hours before you did. What saddens me the most is this is not the first time you have given us old news, and as your division should be the first I regret that I have to inform you that you are fired. Soon after you receive this message a trio of armed guards will come to escort you off of the premises.

Supervisor Richards

The agent left the room, and turning to the man sitting at his desk he said, "Agent 01, go to Belka, maintain a low profile, and gather intel on the situation there. Most importantly if the people's attitudes about this General Narmonov. If necessary, we may have to step in."

"Yes sir," Agent 01 replied as he stood from the chair and exited the room.

Later the same day, Interim Prime Minister Jack George sent this message to General Narmonov, unaware that an agent was already on his way to monitor the situation up close: General Narmonov, it has come to my attention that you have begun to take prisoners of certain citizens that do not have the same political beleifs as you. I am warning you to halt these actions before any blood is spilled or drastic measures may have to be taken. If you do not wish to let these people to reside in your nation, then we will take them as our own. Please, for the sake of the people of your country take head of this message and think hard before making your next move.

While a small nation now, we were once great. Our fall was the result of the evils of Capitalism. As we rebuild now we a trying to creat a perfect harmonious state, the way we see that is through building up the common man. Communists Socialists and all the scum you speak up seek to do that. Seeing as we are small nation we cannot oppose you with force however; we choose to oppose you in mind. Know that by destroying the people who stand for the ideals of the common man you are destroying the future of your country. Nothing we say will stop you, we know, but just know the path you tred on.

The Impërator lounged in the couch in his office. “What’s next, Ivansky?” he asked, bored.
“Well…” the aide shuffled through a pile of papers, “we’ve just got another report in about some backwater country outlawing their communist party.”
“Tell me what else is new.” Erik von Blätterschplitt rolled his eyes. “Some tin-pot dictator somewhere in the world is always trying to outlaw some sort of progress.” The Imperial aide nodded. “Just send the normal memo to the Ministry of War. Tell them to get whatever extra intelligence they can on the issue, authorize the funding and supply of any rebel groups, and tell von Leifric that unless we make a move on the issue, I don’t want to hear about it ever again.” The Impërator paused. "Oh," he said, "and contact the Ministry of Economics and tell Minister Wang to cut off whatever small amount of trade we have with this country and expell any diplomatic staff they have. Likewise, order a pull-out of any of our own diplomats we may have inside their country."

You are one to talk, I am no dictator. My family has ruled Persia since 224. “Damn, I have to go clear to Belka, one of the coldest damn places in the world, and I don’t even get first class.” Agent 01, otherwise known as Daniel Gauge, thought to himself as he found his seat aboard the 747 that would take him to his connecting flight in Japan, where he would fly to Belka. “Perhaps I should start selling myself as a gun for hire.” Gauge continued thinking, “Maybe then I would be able to get some decent travel accommodations,”

The plane slowly taxied down the runway, picking up speed until it slowly began separating itself from the pavement. As the plane climbed up to its cruising altitude Daniel looked out through his window at the quickly shrinking countryside that he would not see for some time. He reached into his sports coat, making sure his nine millimeter pistol was still there. Of course it wasn’t. Instead, he would have to meet a contact in Japan to get the tools he would need to survive.

After about twenty minutes, Daniel relaxed and reclined his seat a bit and closed his eyes, wanting to get as much rest as he possibly could before the tough part of his trip would begin. Daniel was jolted awake as the plane landed in Tokyo. Not having any bags Daniel got off the plane quickly and looked for his contact. He found him standing just outside the terminal gate. Daniel walked up to him and asked, “Say pal, you got a light?”

The man replied, “No, I don’t smoke, but I do have the gum.” That was the password, and Daniel knew he had the right man. Daniel stepped back and looked at him. He was about six foot two inches and weighed probably around two hundred and sixty pounds. The suit he was wearing looked as if it had been pressed by a steam roller, as the crease lines on the sides were plain as day. Sticking out his hand, the man began to speak; “Daniel Gauge I presume?”

“Yes, that would be what they call me.” Daniel replied in a somewhat smug tone. “Do you have what I need?”

“Yup, sure do. It’s already been boarded on the plane.” The man said pulling his hand back to his side. “Oh, you’ve been given special permission to carry this on board the plane.” The man said while he reached into his jacket and pulled out a nine millimeter hand gun. “You’ve got the classification of an air marshal too, so you can skip all the lines and stuff.”

Daniel took the pistol and quickly stuffed it into the holster hidden inside his sports coat. Thanking the man he walking off towards the gate he was to go to board the next plane. Getting on as an air marshal was quicker than expected and he got into his seat before most every body else. He reached into his jacket to make sure his pistol was safe and secure before leaning his seat back, ready to get some more sleep before he stepped into the belly of the beast.

"Shah Khosru III: This makes you different from a dictator how, exactly? As far as we can see, you are merely a despot from a long line of despots. Nothing wrong with that, but you are still a dictator.

Everyone else: We condemn these acts and all that. Instead of wasting money killing all these people, Belka could simply let us pick them up. We'd pay all transportation costs.

OOC: The next move is yours.

IC:

The 747, being one of the very few commercial flights into Belka, was trailed by two MiG29s. They had their weapons off, but practiced locking up the target, and launching simulated "missiles" at the airliner. Fighter pilots in Belka commonly did this for practice. Upon arriving, the people aboard would quickly be ushered away. The air marshalls would be made to leave their pistols aboard.

Once they exited the aircraft, each group of passengers was trailed by a member of the Belkan Internal Security, the secret police. Particular attention would be payed to the airmarshalls. The men would be all around, concealed in the crowds of tourists, invisible to the untrained eye, and still difficult to detect by a trained one.

OOC: Ugh, you would only be able to support an army that is 5% of your pop for a short time. And even still you would have large masses of ill trained and ill equiped troops.

IC: Almost as soon as the airliner landed, several Belkan security agents rushed onto the plane, forcing people to get off the plane as fast as possible, even going as far as grabbing them out of their seats and shoving them towards the exit. Being near the back Daniel quickly stood up, and began walking forward with the crowd. He was only a few feet from the door when he was stopped by one of the guards.

“You stop.” The guard ordered. Not wanting to cause any problems and get himself shot, Daniel complied. “You are air marshal, correct?”

“Yes,” Daniel replied, “yes I am."

“Hand over your gun and follow me,” the guard ordered, his voice as cold as the weather.

Daniel took his gun out of its holster and handed it to the guard and followed him into a small room that looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned in years. As soon as he was in the room the guard spun him around and shoved him against the wall, patting him up and down his body. As soon as the guard was satisfied Daniel was carrying no other weapons he pointed to a seat and told him to sit. Daniel took the seat and was about to ask why he was being searched, but the guard stopped him.

“Let me see your papers,” the guard ordered, thrusting his hand into Daniel’s face. Suddenly Daniel’s expression turned sour as he remembered that he had gotten no papers. He looked at the guard’s hand and at the guard. Daniel stood up, putting his hands in pants pockets, making it seem as though he were looking for the papers. Then as soon as the guard looked away for a moment, Daniel quickly pulled his hands out of his pockets and grabbed the guard’s hand, twisting his arm and pulling on it, bringing the guard flying onto the table. Taking one hand off of the guard’s, he quickly grabbed the guard’s combat knife, and thrust it into the guard’s throat. Blood spilled everywhere, making it seem as though someone had turned on a fountain in his neck. Not wasting any time, Daniel took his gun back and wiped the knife off on the now blood soaked shirt of the guard. He quickly left the room, and headed for the entrance of the airport, leaving his luggage behind.

OOC: I hope you dont mind but I took some liberties with what happened in the airport.

Mr. Narmonov, it seems as though your situation has grown very grim as there are numerous nations that are ready to pick up arms and invade your nation. However, we can still avert a needless war if you would send your socialist population to Nascent where we would welcome them with open arms. If you will agree to this, we can have several unarmed transports by way of sea or air sent to Belka to transport them from your lands.

However, should you refuse, i have been given the authority by the Nascent Senate to use any means possible to expell you from the seat of power you currently hold. This message is in no means a threat, but it would be wise for you not to take it lightly either.

Daniel woke up in a small cell, his head throbbing. The smell of mold and decay filled his nostrils. A dim light down the small hallway was the only light shining into the cell. He sat up and leaned against the wall and considered his options. "Richards has probably already wrote me off as dead. Nothing to do now but to make that a fact." He said to himself. He reached down and took off his sock. Tucked inside was a single tablet, a tablet that would end his life in an instant. Footsteps could be heard from down the hallway. "Well, its now or never," he said to himself, and threw the pill into his mouth and swallowed quickly. Almost immediately his breathing grew more rapid until a few minutes later, his breathing stopped all together. Daniel Guage, Agent 01 was dead.

Very well, if they arn't near my fleets i'll edit the post. But a few comments on your post.......
1) Sorry, I'll correct that.

2) With modern rader, unless your hugging the water, flying low isn't going to help you. And with several hundred planes, at least one person would fly high enough to be detected. That or your ECM would give you away.

3) Because my nation has a millitary budget 10x to 20x yours, plus a multi-trillian dollar grant from CL all of which went to making sure all my equipment was state of the art and then some. So we can safely assume these fighters are a cut above MiG's.

Secret Message
To: Ratheian Air Command
From: Muruian Naval Command

Belka has let the meter run, your air-units are go. Begin intercepting his fighters and launching bombing raids at your discression.

--------

On the command carrier, a Muruian comm officer squinted at his pannel.
"Sir.......The time is up. No responce.."
The fleet-admiral squinted in concentration.
"Contact the other ships, begin the attack."

Quickly, wave after wave of state-of-the-art fighters were launched from the carriers decks. 60 of these birds of prey circled the fleet, waiting for an attack they were sure was coming. When the Belkains saw the Rathian air-force coming at them, they would no doubt try to launch an air-strike agains the Muruian fleet while they still had an airforce to strike with.

And when that strike came, the fleet would be ready.

On the Crusers, Frigates and Sub around the carrier center, attack orders went our. Shells were fired, and the capapults launched the non-nuclear cruse missles towards their target.

The Muruian gunners were very precise, and they had double checked their intellegence. Within the next following minutes every Belkian naval base and beach-defensive works within 80 miles of the landing zone found itself under heavy bombardment.

---

Back in Muru, missle bases recieved their orders for non-nuclear missle strikes against Belkian millitary bases further inland. The invasion was coming, and when it came, there would be no resistnace.....

OOC:No, I only had 72 aircraft, not 'hundreds'. And you fall into my trap...

IC:

The AWACS bird had guided the aircraft to the launch point, 125 naughtical miles away from the enemy fleet. The Backfires unleashed their payload, four Kelt ASMs each, making for 128 incoming missiles for the Muru vessels to deal with. The massive 1200lb warheads crashing into the decks would cause plenty of damage. The fighters and bombers quickly turned their tails from the scene, and headed away at mach two back to their bases.

Since there was virtualy no Belkan navy, the enemy shells would be landing in civilian harbors. Since most military facilities were underground or well concealed, the enemy would have very few targets, and as a result, 309 civilians and 50 soldiers were killed in the bombardment. Several visible 'dummy' bunkers were destroyed, making it seem that the attack was a success. They would soon learn otherwise...

As the enemy fleet came in gun range, concealed ASM batteries along the coast came to life. The batteries, consisting of 60 SS-N-22 Sunburn missile sites, and 30 SS-N-27 Alfa missile sites launched missiles at the enemy fleet. The sunburn missiles would fly in at mach 3, making the approximate reaction time to the missile only 25-30 seconds do to its speed. The Alfas would fly in at mach 2.5, making for a slightly better reaction time.

The beach defences were actualy very scarce, or so it appeared. The tall, jagged cliffs at begining of the beach actualy contained hidden machinegun and ATGM positions, built right into the cliffs.

The supercruising MIG's began their trek to Belka and were nearly there. Supercruising at a speed of Mach 1.8 they finally began picking up Murian Fleet targets on their radar.

"Shit, sir. They're under attack. Nothing left to do but to finish our good friend Belka off."

Only 200 aircraft were on their way, because the other 600 stayed to protect Ratheian Air Space. Another 200 circled the Murian Fleet.

As the MIG's finally located fleeing enemy aircraf they knew that they would be low on fuel soon. The MIG's had refueled merely miles ago and were to destroy the Belkian enemy.

However, the Belkians had a much worse problem. Trailing behind the MIGs at a speed of Mach 1.78 two hundred TU-160 bombers prepared for an attack on Belia.
Belka
16-12-2004, 22:09
The Belkan aircraft weren't low on fuel, due to the fact that the target was so near to their shores. By the time the Ratheian aircraft arrived on Belkan shores, the fighters and bombers would have landed. The Tu160s and fighters would definately not have a fun time in Belkan airspace, due to the fact Belka had literaly thousands of old Soviet SAMs litering the country, most of them obsolete SA2s or 3s, but there were some active SA10s and 12s. The SAMs were controled from a centralized Air Defence Command, which was 10 miles below ground. It was digitaly linked to all surface to air missile and radar positions, meaning that personel requirements were minimal.

In addition to this, the Belkan radar network was very well planned out. For each lit up radar station, there was a second with its radar switched off to avoid detection. This network spanned the entire nation, almost completely centralized at ADCOM.

OOC:Note: Belka is a fairly small nation, only around 600 square miles (but the nation, obviously, isn't a perfect square), meaning such a network is possible for a nation this size.

The MIG pilots were angry, ridiculously angry at being cheated of their fate, but they circled right out of range of enemy AA Fire.

However, the bombers were preparing. While being about 300 miles away, the TU-160's dropped off their payload.

They all carried KH-101 cruise missiles which began a swift Mach 3 flight to predetermined Belkan targets. Over 1200 missiles flew with great speed and power to destroy the enemy aircraft.

16-12-2004, 22:28
Luckily for the Belkans, the bombers had been the first ones to land, and were safely in their underground hangers. The fighters, on the other hand, were less fotunate.

As the fighters began to take off for more sorties, the missiles began hitting. The first few slammed into the barracks building, leveling it to the ground. More missiles came in, slamming into the fighters that were still rearming. 7 MiGs were destroyed in that explosion. The pilots now rushed to take off, and 10 of them managed to get airborne as more missiles streaked in. A fighter leading the column on runway 2 became a victim, making takeoff impossible for the fighters behind it. Another few missiles flew in, and decimated those remaining 9 fighters. Still, on runway one, 5 had managed to get airborne, but still, the missiles came. By the time the last missile had hit, the base was a smoking ruin. 25 out of 40 MiG33s had been destroyed, a devastating blow to the Belkan airforce. The remaining fighters headed to the international airport, which was heavily populated by civilians.

As the MiGs entered Belkan airspace, they were picked up on passive radar. 5 SA10 launch vehicles in concealed positions opened fire, unleashing all of their missiles in just 30 seconds. In addition to that, 20 SA3, and 40 SA2 batteries opened up from their positions. Finnaly, ten SA12 Galdiators, hidden in special subsurface launch tubes, unleashed four missiles each, all targeting seperate aircraft.

HOLD IT.

What the heck is going on here? Dozens of fighters, thousands of heavy AA batteries with top-notch radar support. Underground hangers that somehow totally escaped detection? Passive radar that, as far as i'm aware, dosn't even exist, missles that can hit with devistating accurace at extreme long range, and a huge hidden defensive network that I didn't even get a chance to notice?
