The Ministry of Defence Procurement and Export is pleased to announce that The Nemerah APC and selected variants will be made available to select members of the international community, after a succesful entry into Elias Army service. The Nemerah, based off the Merkava 4 chasis, which is the battle tank used by the elite Advanced Mobile Combat Divisions, features unprecedented levels of survivability. Although its expense will mean that it never replaces the BMP-3 in most mechanised units, at least for the forseable future, the AMC Divisions are extremely pleased with its performance and will introduce many versions with an eventual goal to field whole Merkava based brigades.
Hull Design
The Nemerah APC uses the same hull as the Merkava 4 Main Battle Tank which is built under License in United Elias, with several modifications. Firstly the turret has been removed, the hull has been raised slightly and a rear ramp has been fitted. The Nemerah is protected by a hybrid armour, which can be conformed from modular elements, to match specific threats. The Nemerah features a front-mounted power pack, which presents a heavy mass in the forward area, which protects the crew from enemy attack. This configuration also cleared room at the rear section for a safe exit and enough space to carry a total of eighteen infantrymen, in addition to the crew. The rear access ramp allows for the quick and safe exit of injured crewmen or pickup of wounded soldiers for evacuation.
Armour and Protection Systems
The Nemerah Includes the same protection system that has now been fitted to most Armoured Fighting Vehicles in the Elias Army, which uses primarily Non-Explosive Reactive Armor (NERA) modules thst do not use energetic components, and re not consumed when being hit. Therefore, they provide an effective multi-hit protection capability which cannot be obtained by Explosive Reactive Armour. The downside of NERA is that while it is effective against CE threats, its performance is not sufficient when engaging most KE threats. To counter KE threats, the Nemerah uses a Full Spectrum Active Protection system.
Elias Aerospace's Electronics Division has designed an advanced generation of the earlier FSAP-A System, known as FSAP-B which is capable of intercepting and countering s kinetic threats. The KE countermeasures system uses a long detection range and faster data processing, to provide for effective response rate against the faster threat. The system relies on multiple explosive formed projectiles, utilized for both KE and CE engagements. The Threat Detection and Warning subsystem consists of several sensors, including flat-panel radars, placed at strategic locations around the protected vehicle, to provide full hemispherical coverage. Once an incoming threat is detected identified and verified, the Countermeasure Assembly is opened, the countermeasure device is positioned in the direction where it can effectively intercept the threat. Then, it is launched automatically into a ballistic trajectory to intercept the incoming threat at a relatively long distance. These munitions are set to explode ahead of the incoming threat, forming a dense "curtain" of high velocity fragments within one milisecond that can destroy incoming KE rounds, ATGMs and RPGs. FSAP-B was designed to effectively operate in a dense urban environment, where armored vehicles operate closely with integrated infantry forces. Therefore, direction, formation and energy of the fragments are designed to ensure effective target kill with low collateral damage, and low risk to nearby troops. While not in use, the system is maintained in the stowed position, protected by an armor shield. The system has an automatic reload mechanism to handle multiple attacks.

The main armament of The Nemerah APC is a stabilsied, fully remote, overhead weapons station (OWS). The OWS features a 25mm automatic cannon, 2-4 Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (Can be SPIKE/TOW/Starstreak) and a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun. The system includes day/night image optimisation sights, which feature thermal and IR modes.
Additionally, two manually operated, pintle mounted 7.62mm machineguns are fitted above the top hatches and grenade dischargers can fire smoke or fragmentation munitions.
