Patagonia offers contract to outfit its air force


The nation of Patagonia Austral is offering a contract to outfit its national air force. We are seeking jets for fighter, interceptor, and fighter/bomber capabilties. We are also looking for stratotankers and AWACS jets to give our fleet of jets maximum superiority and range in defending Patagonia Austral.

As war with Todeskopf began to unfold the PHAF-TAC required a heavy fighter to replace their Flankers, which were getting rather old. Originally Klimov OKB was contracted to replace the Flankers with their Model 1.44 design, however budget overruns and a new PAS design lead to Pheonix Aerospace Systems recieving a new contract with an enlarged variant of the F-27 design. The YF-36 project took only 8 months from begining until an evaluation model was ready for demonstration. The YF-36A was also, rather confusingly, assigned the name 'Venom' also assigned to the aborted YF-44. The YF-36 had such a speedy development for many reasons, no new technology was developed for it, the tail section came directly from the older Pas 47 Black Eagle design. The engines, electronics and weapon systems were also derived from systems designed for the YF-44 or YF-47 or parts shared between them.

This variant of the Pas 41 design is designed to be multi-role, low observability fighter to replace the F-33 Sniper. The aircraft began entering service with frontline units around 2008-2009. The design was influenced by the F-35 JSF, YF-23 Black Widow, Yak-141 and Rafale. The aircraft has a smaller radar signature then the JSF, mainly due to it's flatter design.

The Pas 41 is a super manuverable, purpose built, low observability V/STOL strike and fighter aircraft designed for use from light carriers in support of marine landings or to provide air support for battleships.

The design was influenced by the F-35B JSF, YF-23 Black Widow, Yak-141 and Rafale. The aircraft has a smaller radar signature then the JSF, mainly due to it's flatter design.

This design, designated FV-27 Manta Ray in Haaregradian service operates from Fortress class battleships and from Wasp(modified) class amphibious assault carriers.
