"Moutain Dooby" is a favorite soda in P3X1299.
Keloon
14-12-2004, 03:32
We ban all foods except for Keloon staples: Aja, B'leasat, and B'endro.

Aja is a type of soupy concoction. It has three different type of meats in it: Nynack, Valooa, and Mebt. That is it, no other spices, vegetables, or other unneccisary foods.

B'leasat is similar to bread, only it's much more like a hard brick. Very hearty though.

B'endro is severely boiled vegetables, mashed into a paste. This paste is often put on B'leasat.

Although Keloon food is unflavorful, we do not allow other foodstufts into our nation. We do not want to ruin our industry.

Nordrreich
14-12-2004, 03:43
We do not ban any foods in Nordrreich, although safety and quality regulations are taken very seriously. The main staple crops are wheat and potatoes, although Nordrreichers enjoy a varied diet of local and imported foods. The most popular meat is traditionally beef, although fish, poultry and pork are also popular. The most popular national beverage is beer, although coffee, tea, wine, liquors, soft drinks, bottled water and fruit juices are also popular.

OOC> Basically, Nordrreichers eat much like modern IRL Germans might, heh.
Lilylane
14-12-2004, 03:45
;) The people of Lilylane can eat anything they wish.
The most famous dish from our country is a wonderful Clam Chowder made by Queen Lily. It's Good and thick and has at least 700 calories in each bowl. Queen Lily loves to add extra bacon and butter to every bowl served. She is very willing to share the recipe. "All you have to do is smile nicely and ask sweetly".
Zahumlje
14-12-2004, 03:46
hmm assorted dried meats, potatoes, creamed corn with butter is a favorite breakfast food, prscut is a big favorite, whoever doesn't eat prscut eats anchovies. soups, pasta, rakija, there are five types produced in Zahumlje, as well as wine and mead. Zahumlje has to import most of it's beer, most is imported from Mexico actually.
vegetables, especially onions and garlic, tomatoes,

banned foods, octopus, octopus are so clever and rare it seems unsporting to eat them. TVP is banned too just because we don't like it. Any food which might be affected by radiation will be banned. Ultimately that's why no one eats reindeer meatballs in Zahumlje anymore.
Strange food fads which have overtaken Zahumlje at different times
Imported meat from white yaks, a canned product
Camel pastrami, some have come back from foreign peace keeping service with this odd taste
reindeer meatballs
fried grasshoppers
lutefisk
'All of these wierd foods became fads for awhile but the people got over it.

14-12-2004, 03:51
No food is really banned here in Nalaki, but vegetarianism is encouraged. Coffee, espresso, and other assorted caffeinated drinks are the main drinks avaliable. Alcohol is frowned upon, but there is no real punishment if drinking alcohol (or eating meat for that matter).

Generally Beef, Tiger and chicken are favored meats among the people. Also they import spices mostly for meat dishes there is a delicacy one called Matunika (buffalo mixed with potatoes and some bits of beef while grilled in cooking rum then stuff in a cornbread shell.) Generally firewater alchohol(such as vodka) are not favored among the higer class since it remembers one of society worst economic genocides(fort whoop up and its affect on first nations). Also vegetables are favored(tomatoes, brocoli and a type of crunchy and stalk like green vegetable favored among the chinese, potatoes etc). Grain crops are also commonly grown in the cities of The Holy Republic.
Callisdrun
15-12-2004, 07:53
Callisdrunians eat hardy vegetables (potatos, carrots, etc.) and lots of boar-meat and venison. Mutton is also eaten, but beef is fairly rare. Course wheat is used for most baked goods. The climate is not suitable to more fragile plants. The main alcoholic beverage is Vodka. Inordinate amounts of fish are eaten. It is illegal to eat wolf-flesh. It is not illegal to drink human blood, considering the nature of 15% of the population.
Pacitalia

Pasta, vegetables and lamb.
Syrana
15-12-2004, 08:14
The stable food in the Confederacy of Syrana would be, in order of popularity, rice, fish, cows milk, cheese, chicken, and vegetables such as potatoes, string beans, celary, and even peas.

Rice is the traditional food of Syrana, since it is situated in a region that is well suited for its production. Fish is also popular, and always has been, due to the fact that Syrana has a relatively large coastline and several large rivers where fish are still quite plentiful. Chicken has been around for a long time also. Vegetables like the ones I mentioned have become popular much more recently, especially potatoes, due to contact with other regions, and trade with them. Since potatoes are so nutritious, the Syranese have made many dishes recently with them instead of with rice, and in fact have altered many recipes that originally called for rice to use them. Milk is a staple since cows are common, but not often eaten due to their use in making milk and cheese.
Mallartaia
15-12-2004, 08:23
What is your country's main diets and what type of food do you ban?

Well, we eat a lot of bread here in Mallartaia, though it is mostly a very dark, heavy bread and white bread is considered to be something of a minor luxury. We also eat a lot of deer, bear, and things like that, seeing as how we have a lot of those creatures here, but eating the great Mallartaian Reindeer is not allowed, nor is hunting it for sport. Both of these things are punishable by an immense fine and a term in jail.

We don't have a lot of fruit in this country, but we do have our fare share of good vegetables, such as potatoes and the like, and we also have some cows in this country, but they are not eaten due to the need for milk and the fact that Mallartaians like butter and cheese more than they like Big Macs.

Random Kingdom
15-12-2004, 12:07
Random Kingdom citizens eat many different things, but most citizens are vegetarian. As we have a poor economy, fast food is frowned upon. Basic foodstuffs like corn, maize, root vegetables and dairy products are popular and meat is a delicacy because of heavy animal rights and anti-rearing laws are in effect. However, no food is banned.
Daistallia 2104
15-12-2004, 18:33
Rice, wheat, barley, and oats are the staple grains. Beef, trout, lish, and lam are the staple meats (the later two are local domestic animals).
Meat is frowned upon, in some parts, as we have a large Buddhist population.

A more detailed look at Daistallian cuisine can be found here (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Daistallia_2104#Cuisine).
