BACKGROUND:
A land of vast distances and rich natural resources, Lemieuxstad became a self-governing province in 2004 while retaining ties to the French republic. Economically and technologically the nation has developed in parallel with the US, its neighbor to the south across an unfortified border. Its paramount political problem continues to be the relationship of the province of Canada, with its English-speaking residents and unique culture, to the remainder of the country.

Northeastern North America, bordering the North Atlantic Ocean on the east, Hudson Bay on the west, and the Arctic Ocean on the north, north of the conterminous US.

MILITARY INSTITUTIONS:
General Headquarter: Located in Québec, this the governing body of the Lemieuxstad Armed Forces all decisions either operationnal or not are made here.It's subordinated only to the Lemieuxstad's Prime Minister and his Inner Council.
Land Forces Academy: Located in Chicoutimi, this the central training center for all new recruits.They undergo basic military training(boot camp) and are thought during 8 weeks the basics of being an infantryman in the Lemieuxstad Land Forces.Once their basic training is complete they are assigned to their new unit in the Armed Forces and receive further specific training to their units.Normal infantryman undergo a 3 year service in the Land Forces.However, this period can be longer depending upon the branch in which they decide to go or the needs of specific branch of the Lemieuxstad Armed Forces.All new recruits pass through the Land Forces Academy at least once in their carreer and all of the active fighting units of the Lemieuxstad Armed Forces take their respective recruits from the Land Forces Academy.Moreover, specific land forces doctrine and employment are devised here in accordance with the General Headquarter request or approval.
Land Forces Officer Corpse Academy: Located in Québec, this is where recruits who have completed their basic training are thought the art of commanding troops in the field.Other courses are available for example logistics and support syllabuses.All new recruits must have undergone the basic training at the Land Forces Academy.Officer who graduate from here have received at least 1 year of training.Recruits who decide to make a living out of the Land Forces can also apply to the Higher Officer course which lasts 2 to 4 years depending.This allows them to learn a specific job in the civilian life as well as completing their officer course.Graduates of this course have a compulsory 7 year contract to serve in the Land Forces once they have graduated and are strongly encouraged to stay in the military.All officers must serve at least 5 years in the Land Forces.
Land Forces Tank Corps Academy: Located in Sherbrooke, this is where recruits or officers will learn the basics of armored operation and tactics.All new recruits must have undergone the basic training at the Land Forces Academy.The course lasts 1 year and upon graduation servicemen will receive further training in their assigned units.All graduates must serve at least 5 years in the Land Forces.
Land Forces Special Operations Command: Located in Québec, this is a strictly professional outfit meaning that only servicemen who have decide to make the Land Forces their career and have served at least 5 years in the Land Forces can be part of this Command.Training lasts 2 years and a 7 year contract is signed upon graduation.The Special Operations Command have multiple bases across Lemieuxstad ranging from forest conditions to arctic conditions.The Command is subordinated only to the General Headquarter.
Air Forces Academy: Located in St-Hubert, this is where flying cadets learn their trade.St-Hubert Airfield has been refurbished and is now a sprawling military airbase with 5 paved airstrips.The course lasts 2 years.All new cadets must have undergone the basic training at the Land Forces Academy.Their first 6 months is done learning the basics of flying.After that a screening test is made and cadets must choose in which role they will server their time in the military.After they have decided they undergo specialisation in their branch of the Air Force for 1 year and a half.Once their basic training is complete cadets graduate as flying officers and are considered officers by the Armed Forces.As such they must undergo a compulsory 7 years in service.The Air Forces Academy is also the place where new tactics and procedures are devised in accordance with the General Headquarter.
Air Forces Special Warfare Course: Located in Fermont, combat aircrews i.e. those who would be most likely to fight over the front line must undergo a 6 months course there.They will learn evasion techniques as well as other more secret specialties peculiar to air combat.
Air Forces Kujuuartik: A base about 50 km north of Chibougamau, this is the biggest airbase available to the Air Force with 6 paved airstrips and the capability to sustain 120 aircrafts at once it's the place where joint mock combat takes place.A firing range of more than 1 000 km^2 is available for live-fire exercices.
