ic> Kalgar was waiting in a room behind a balcony on one of the largest towers in Gronde's capital. A crowd numbering in the millions had gathered to hear what their beloved leader had to say.

Today, was year 200 of the AoN. 200 years ago today, the Alliance of Naggaroth was formed, starting with 2 tiny nations with bright hopes. Those 2 had worked together in a war involving nations that were giants in compare. The two founders were Gronde and the The Horned Rat. The nation they helped would probobly be the single most important nation in forming the history of the AoN, Gronde especially. That nation was Corpsac. Early on, Corpsac/Gronde relations improved with Kalgar's participation in bringing down the technical abomination Shinzu. However, in the aftermath, Corpsacian leadership shifted, as did Kalgar's oppinion of the nation. What followed was a brief conflict following an imperialistic expansion by the strengthening AoN. Since then, a tense peace continued for many years, which sparked into war on many occations as a result of the ESUS restoration. However, the AoN has continued to perservier, even as other alliances began to break, through strength of arms, strength of loyalty, and strength of will. The Alliance of Naggaroth was possibly the greatest alliance in the Galaxy. However, times had changed. Corpsac and Gronde had finally descussed ressurecting an ancient alliance and national friendship once again. Thus, on the eve of a new expansion, Gronde welcomed Corpsac into the AoN with open arms. (At least mostly open)

Kalgar rallied the the people of Gronde. Battle fleets began preliminary patrolls and drills. The war industries continued to construct war supplies, as if they would ever use all of the ships and munitions that had been build over the centuries.

Kimiko paced the Throne room looking round the room, she looked a the throne a rather large grand design of the CorpSacian Raven, the wings spand the entire wall and the beak was near the roof, the claws came out slightly hanging down and there up the steps in the chest of the Raven was the throne. A throne made of Dark crystal and Endor 1000s of years ago, the seat of power something the old "houses" use to fight over but now...now the empire was under her control alone, well her and the Imperial Seneate that housed a representive from each world in the empire.
"how long has it been, how long since the last time the Grondeian and CorpSacian flags stood together?" she asked Premarch Raven turning round and looking at her.
"to long, the ESUS is weak the Galactic Empire cant be trusted and above all the UFP is falling. Time change" Raven replyed she brushed her hair away from her eyes.
"indeed they do indeed they do, prepare your chapter its soon time we wait for Kalgar to contact me. The Camarilla Chapter will be ready soon aswell, the 2 chapters of the Dark Empire will expand our borders." Kimiko said. Ravens eyes lit up blood red when she said the words camarilla, the Sabbat and the camarilla chapters had hated each other since the return. It was rather amusing to Kimiko since both tryed to gain more favor over the other from her, it never worked but Malkave and Raven didnt seem to notice this. Not even when they started to have a small war and the DESC had to stop it, but that was the Chapters for you.

in the near by space port just over 2 million Space marines we're getting ready, all from the sabbat chapter. what they were to do they didnt know but the smelt war in the air and they liked it.

ic> A Behemoth Battle Barge glided through neutral space, escorted by smaller vessels. Kalgar sat at the command of the small battle group. With things moving along quickly, it was time to meet with the Corpsacians leadership.

Plans are moving along quite nicely and we have much to descuss. However, I feel that we should meet to descuss this matter in person. I have never been a fan of long distance descussion.

ooc> BTW, what is Kimiko's relation (if any) to Kalgar's old "friend" Horrar Sith?
CorpSac
14-12-2004, 03:01
OOC: ok some small things about Kimiko, currently she cant leave the new homeworld Fallen, shes the daughter of Horrar sith, but really shes the daughter reborn of an old emperor called Mavric Kilamar who created the space marine Legions but died along time ago, and when the orignial homeworld was destroyed the marines took off and took the body of Kilamars daughter with them.t he tale gos that the gods said that his daughter would be needed in a time far in the future, the space marines a fanaticly loyal to Kimiko (funny thing is that was her name befor, Kimiko Kilamars.) when she died at the hands of Bane her soul drifted in space for 3 years. Finding the sleeping body of Kilamars and well returned in a nice bloody way.
she cant leave the homeworld cos she used alot of her life force calling an armagendom on the old homeworld Cordian, the entire system cant be entered and if you tryed you would be lost for ever.

IC:
Kimiko read the message when her Death Guard gave it to her, an Elite set of Space marines picked at birth by kimiko. Each had something called a shadow in them something they shared with kimiko, each Death Guards geneseeds were created from Kimikos DNA and vary powerful.
"contact Malkave and Raven, tell them to go meet Kalgar. Inform Kalgar i am sending 2 Representives at...." she looked at a star chart in the old badlands of the 2 empires, nurtral space that devided the 2 empires. "the singar system, tell Malkave and Raven to send an imperial fleet each." she ordered.
"at once my Empress" the death guard replyed, his gray armor showing the sign of the Empire.

Kalgar, the empress is sending 2 people to meet with you at the Singar system, nurtal space in the badlands. she hopes you will attend.

====
2 days later
====

250 jump points opened in the singar system as 250 Sabbat Chapter ships exited hyperspace. then a futher 50 opened as more sabbat ships came in, these ships wereconsutrtion ships. Right away they started to build the Raven Fortrass it would take months to complete but it was a start. Drop pods fell to the planet and other ships landed, a base would be built and the first outpost in over 50 years would be built in the badlands by the dark empire.
Raven looked out from the bridge of the battlebarge, looking around and smiled. She felt war comeing and death haunting her.
"no Malgave....late i take it" she said to herself, just then 250 jump points formed as the Camarilla chapter ships came out. Same design as the sabbat but a different color, they waited for the Gronde ships but for some reason Raven just wanted to take the entire sector to control it for herself, but she wouldnt.
"contact that dog Malkave and find out why he was late" she barked at a Space marine.

Down on the planet 2 thunder hawk gunships had landed each with the Premarchs of the 2 chapters. since the world was a Sabbat world Malkave wasnt to happy, a 2 regiments from the 7th Company from the sabbat chapter were placed on this world. This was to sacure the local populas of Tau that was on the world, Tau tech interested Kimiko and she wanted there armor mainly.

The make shift base was far from the front line of the Fight on the world and was safe, Each sat in the Speaking hall with out saying a word to each other, with them 5 Death guards who would speak for the empiress. they waited for kalgar.

There Armor was blood red with a Black trangle in the chest plate and the Sabbat Insignia on the right sholder plate. The Captain had a Black cape that had the Insignia of the Sabbat on it, when Kalgar steped out of the The Captain greated him.
"Kalgar i take it, I am Sister Captain simmar the Premarch's and the death guards are waiting for you if, you would follow me" She said holding out her hand to Kalgar. Suddenly a massive explodtion was heared in the distance, none of the space marines reacted apart from a few of the younger ones. simmar wiped round and shouted at the younger scout marines who where on the floor. "GET OF THE FLOOR, IF YOUR THERE AND NOT LOOKING WHERE YOUR MENT TO DONT EXPECT TO LIVE TO SEE THE DAY WHEN YOU BECOME A FULL MARINE" she barcked.

In the speaking hall a Space marine walked in and wispered in Ravens ear, she nodded and wave the marine away.
"well he's here, its time" she said looking at the others, the table infront of them was large. Raven had a bottle of Blood wine in front of her looking round, it was a vintage wine, infront of Malgave he to had a Blood wine but it was a rather older vintage.
They sat waiting, at each Door in the rather Grand room had 2 Vets guarding them (and outside even more since well...what do you expect when you have the Premarchs of the 2 Chapters of the Empire here).

IC:

The Shadows had noted the revival of an old set of powers... less old than the curse that had transformed the entire Guilder civilisation into the Ancient Enemy but still ancient... the Shadows however were banking on their battlecrabs and their new Battleship should the need for a war arise...

These new powers had genetic warriors although inferior in technological use of organics they still posed a powerful alternative to the Shadows own Dryal and other creations... although most Talon analysts didn't rate the potential of such warriors in close combat with a Dryal... but perhaps they would show their strengths in other ways... as usual the many Shadow agents sifted through the universe looking for information for their masters on Z'ha'dum...

Shadow space consisted of approximately 9 systems now on the North-Eastern Rim of the Galaxy... the world's taken had represented part of the ancient Empire they were now the current schions of... They planned to take the rest back but were hampered by having keep watch on several quarantined worlds most particullarily the C'tan who the Shadow periodically bombed and attack from space but dared not to send down more Dryal until the Planet Killer known as the 'Death Cloud' could be developed to destroy this race once and for all time...

Expantion is useful but no one does this sort of thing for no reason" he said looking at Kalgar, Kalgar had the strange feeling that the Guard was looking right into his soul or looking right though him he couldnt put his figer on it.

Across the planet Marines clashed with Tau forces or what was little left of the old Tau empire on this planet. Marines clashed with Tau, cities burned and towns and villages crumbled sooner or later the planet would fall and the Tau would be enslaved and there tech absorbed into the Empire.

ic> The meeting continued. It was a reasonable question; what the plan actually was? Kalgar stayed standing as he explained the first phase of the plan. The were to send forces from this system to other systems from around their empires and expand their boarders. They needed to seek out recource rich worlds as well as populated worlds for slaves. With that, the Dark Empire and the Shadow Empire would be able to build a war machine unmatched by any. What they did from there, hadn't yet been decided. Kalgar showed respect for the two marines. . .respect, but not fear however. Kalgar was technically a space marine himself after all.
Veredia
18-12-2004, 16:14
OOC: Just some background on what Veredia's been up to for the past twenty years. We have decommissioned several line regiments, and a full naval division. Another naval division has been switched over to the reserves. This, along with cuts to the ground and air forces and abandoning of many military bases has freed up trillions of dollars for the government. This has apparently gone towards many different civic projects and the such, but in all actuality, it has been siphoned into a massive research project done in coordination with Indra Prime. This project has resulted in a 60% reduction in the size of Veredian and Indran systems, and Indra Prime, in addition to providing us with their shield systems, they have boosted our temporal research capabilities to level 7, and our new ships under construction are all in possession of temporal cores and temporal engines. The temporal FTL drives can bypass FTLi systems (I never bothered to get a detailed description off of Indra, but he is a theoretical physicist and the most advanced temporal nation on NS) however, fortunately for everyone, we do not possess temporal weaponry. This, along with vast automation and advanced AI systems has resulted in a vastly superior Temporal Guard fleet, presently possessing the strength of approximately a full naval division, but with the new systems and the such, they possess the power equivalent to 2.5-4 times that of a Veredian naval division that you last fought against Gronde. If you want further details, I will happily everything in more detail over MSN.

IC:

"Sir, the latest intel reports are in...it seems as if Gronde and Corpsac are becoming allies once more. Though we don't know what exactly is going on, we have seen a group of Corpsac and Gronde ships coming together, and we believe they are carrying out joint operations on the world where they have gathered. It seems as if Gronde and the AoN is starting up its imperialist moves once again" Prince Jeremiah's intelligence minister, John Wolcott reported.

"Damnit...I was hoping for more time to rebuild at least the navy. What is the status on the temporal guard?" Jeremiah asked.

"The first naval division will be ready within a few days, the new FTLs should more or less bypass any known FTLi system, except for the Indran temporal inhibitor fields. But that technology is far beyond even our temporal research abilities, and as far as we know, Gronde hasn't been developing temporal technologies" Wolcott replied.

"Okay, what do you think we do in response to this?" Jeremiah asked, directing the question not only to Wolcott but also the commander of the VSN who was with them.

"We should launch a full scale assault on the joint position with the new fleet, then start hitting as many AoN positions as we can, we can call up all the reserves and all the ex navy personnel can be brought back in and we can reactivate all the decomissioned..." the navy commander was saying before the intel minister cut in.

"I agree with the attack idea, however, as far as everyone thinks we've gone the route of peace by decomissioning much of our military capabilities. Deploying the temporal guard would alert everyone to our capabilities, and we can not stand up to a joint attack by Corpsac and the AoN. However...what we can do is send the temporal guard in under disguise" Wolcott said.

"Under what disguise?" Jeremiah asked, seriously considering this idea.

"By all reports, the system where they are located belongs to the Tau, or did, but nevertheless, it is a Tau world, one of the remnants of the Tau empire. The new ships are different from our previous vessels, and we can get engineers to fix them up a bit and change their transponders to appear as some sort of new advanced Tau fleet. Or, we can simply make them appear as some new unknown enemy...after all, all the vessels utilize weapons we haven't used yet, so no one even knows we have them" Wolcott said.

"And what do we do after hitting the system where Corpsac and Gronde are located?" Jeremiah asked.

"Why, quite simply, we hit the Gronde home system. We can bypass most of the defences and appear just near their star, and dump a nova..." Wolcott was saying.

"NO! We are not destroying any systems!" Jeremiah said angrily, appalled at the idea of Veredia wiping out an entire star system.

"Then we can jump in at Gronde's homeworld and burn it to a cinder, discover the locations of their craftworlds and other installations in system, and keeping jumping in and out, unleashing a storm of hydras just as the jump points open, overwhelming their defences" Wolcott said.

"What about allying with Gronde, afterall, we were considering a sort of alliance with them following our last battle" Jeremiah asked.

"Hm, not a totally bad idea, perhaps you could start talking with them" Wolcott replied.

"Okay, you two get to work modifieing the fleet, I'll send a message to Gronde. We'll decide where to go from there" Jeremiah said.

The two men left and Jeremiah went with them, but diverted his path, entering into the palace communications room, where he could transmit a message to Gronde.

Message:
Greetings on behalf of the Veredian people. It has been many years since our nations last talked, far to many years to be honest, and I believe it is time that we once again rekindled our ancient alliance. We have taken the route of peace, decommissioning much of our military in favour of trade and further our people's lives. Though we understand your military stance, one we once shared, we nevertheless believe that a relationship between our nations could only be beneficial to both sides.

Brother commander Bretac of the 7th company, 26th Tactical regiment, were on the 1st contiant of the planet, a rageing battle was going on. Across the area his regiment engaged the Tau fire warriors, bloody hand to hand combat between the Sadists and tau.
The commander was wondering what to happen, Tau Armor was holding strong in the southen sector and he was worried that the line would fall and if it did the tau could sweap round and take the Front line out from behind. the Problem was that much of Armor in his regiment where holding the easten border where mass's of Fire warriors and Air power were pounding the 1st tactical Corp. The 3rd Fast Attack Corp was sent to support but where cut off in the attempt to get there. The assult wasnt going grate but it was as best as he could, but who knows he may have been out numbered 100:1 but who knew what would happen.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOUR CORP IS NOT IN THE EASTEN SECTOR" Bretac shouted over the comm.
"Tau forces cut us off, we can hold out but not for long" Sister Captain Melfena said.

Bretac sat down and looked at the holomap, something was amiss, what are they planning, this attack is planned but are they trying to do. it hit him suddenly, he had fallen for the trap, weakening the westen sector ment that if they were attacked they would fall rather quickly he had done the one thing he should never have done, underestermate his enemy and in doing so he had put all at risk.
"shit" he said looking at the holo map, he knew he couldnt pull any forces in time over there and there was nothing he could do.
"get me a line to the premarch NOW" he shouted, he had to call in reinforcements some how, but how? where could they come from.
"line set sir" a Space marine said at the comm station.

Back at the Main base Raven was waiting for Kalgars responce when suddenly a Marine from her personal guard rushed in, he wispered something in her ear. Suddenly she stood up, "if you would exuse me i have something of grate urgancey to deal with." she bowed and rushed out, Malkave had an idea what was going on and so did the death guard.
"Malkave, tell your Corp to decend to the planet, to work with the Sabbat" the Death guard said, this time tho his voice seemed to echo mutiply times.
"what of Raven?" he asked
"i will inform her" the Death Guard replyed.
Malkave called over one of his guards and wispered something in his ear, the guard bowed and rushed off it would be a first that Sabbat and Camarilla worked together.
"im sorry for this, interuption Kalgar it seems that the Sabbat underestermated the Tau numbers and the Commander of the 26th Tac Regiment. but the matter should be taken care off if, i have a feeling that the rest of the 7th company is going to arrive." the Death guard said, his voice was normal, "now where were you"

"So, the-the council is sending us to another desolate place-place? For what purpose?" This figure was of smaller build than the other one, his skin was scarred from a patchwork of bio-mech implants.

His companion, a spaven marine, spoke, "Corpsac, apparentley, they have been allied with." the last part was said with a sneer, as if unbelieveing that after so many quarrels and wars, that peace would be made.

"Never trust a human when they are armed or have the olive branch of peace, in fact, trust nothing except for the council." His gaze turned to the sliver-infested space outside the shields, "How I long to return their, for to long have we been kept, going from planet to planet, avoiding our own space. Were you in the service of our god when the time of the beast happened Skitch?."

"No commander, I was indoctrinated only recentally, why, how did it happen?", even this trained killer was curious as to the sliver ascesion.

ooc> Hmm, he is still flaming you? I will have a word with him. The only reason he is still in the AoN is because he agreed to stop being immature and attempt to make peacefull relations with you. Since he has done neither, I think that I will need to kick him out. He stands to damage AoN reputation more than GZ did. I don't need that. I will form a concencus with the other members to remove him and then I will get back to you.
