DLE Species Registry

This is an attempt to get down all of the sentient species on NS with their scientific classification. Please feel free to add on to this list.

Also, note that some of the below may be a little insulting. Keep in mind this is written by Sarkarasetans, who have a mild xenophobia and are not exactly unknown for looking down upon the genetically-inferior humanity or at any other species. Or, for that matter, having any tact. Thus, why this list is open to the international community for editting.

Homo sapiens sapiens: Humans.

Homo superior sapiens: Unknown name, intermediate evolution between Sarkarasetans and humans.

Homo dominus superior: Sarkarasetans.

Homo mississippianus: Unusual mutation of humanity, suspected to have resulted from inbreeding and religious suppression. Currently used as poster child of what can go wrong with genetics among Sarkarasetans. Sometimes misclassified as an evolved species of bacteria, depending on the scientist and many people they have to report to when it comes to accuracy (typically, the less people reported to is inversely equal to the chance of misclassification).

Corrections, additions, subtractions, comments (unless you are on my list of people banned from my topics), etc. are welcome.

I think your names are messed up. Considering that humans are the only living species in the genus Homo at the present, all future descendants would be variations on Humans. Hence they would all be Homo sapiens whatever, unless they've had several hundred thousand years to evolve that is.

Actually, with one exception the names are chosen by Sarkarasetans, who are the second evolution point after humanity. The one exception is Homo sapiens sapiens. However, there is a 0.7% genetic difference between Sarkarasetans and humans, which would be enough for a genus change if it wasn't for where the majority of the differences are.

What would you like the second name changed to? In that case, the differences are only enough to count as a new species.

You still have to get Saskatara to reply to the thread.

Second evolution point after humanity? Whoever came up with that has a poor understanding of evolution. And .7% is not enough for a genus change, which is even evident in your list as they're all in the genus Homo, you may have meant species change.

Or has no evidence to contradict the conclusion. One of the great problems with classifying the evolution of Sarkarasetans is the fact they have an incomplete history with the equivolent of the Grand Canyon for a gap and no fossils to work with.

Actually, 0.7% is more than enough for a genus change. The genetic difference between humans and chimpanzees is only 1%.

Actually, 0.7% is more than enough for a genus change. The genetic difference between humans and chimpanzees is only 1%.

The most common numbers for diffenernce between chimps and humans is actually 2-4%. And there's debate on changing the chimpanzees genus from Pan to Homo. The 0.7% figure remids me of the difference in DNA between Homo sapiens sapiens and Homo sapiens neanderthalensis.
So I respectfully disagree.

Oh, and the second evolution point after humanity mistake isn't something that can be explained by a lack of fossils, it betrays a fundamental flaw in the person's understanding of evolution. Evolution doesn't go by points or stages. It's completely fluid.

Race: Takarri [Genetic Anomalies known as Qu'arn Takarri]

Average Height: 1.5 Metres - 1.7 Metres [Qu'arn Different - Read Below]

Average Weight: 75 Kg - 125 Kg

Age: 13 - 25 Years

Planet(s): Kalor I, III, IV, V. However, Kalor I is in a Civil War.

History: The history of the once proud Takarri is a long brutal struggle that can be sperated into three sections

i. The Birth

The first record of the Takarri dates back 3500 years ago, so they a rather young race. Chances are they evolved form a octupian race called Xuirds, which are an endangered race on Kalor V. [A wildlife refuge of the Socialistic Takarrian Republic] They began as a nomadic tribe, under the leadership of the 4 Warlords, who through a system of checks and balances, held the empire in place. The Takarri later became a pioneer of technology, thanks to a couple of crashed spacecraft. This lead to piracy, and the empire crumbled, replaced by anarchy.

ii. The Death

Empire in shambles, the Takarri lost all but four planets, the main Kalor's. [II was destroyed due to a element meltdown] Out of the dust, a new republic was formed. Small, but strong, it captured the publics heart under the leadership of Mi'khail Gar. Rising up, they restored order. This republic, powered by the mining of gold and silver, quickly showed up on the intergalactic radar.

iii. Reanimation and Strife.

The republic worked, and grew, but fascist dissent prospered. Civil war has begun to stir up, most notably on Kalor I. The fascist Riekhian troops have gained a foothold here, and now control a 1/6 minority in the Takarrian Legislate. The two other main parties, the Socialist Peoples Party and the Centrists for Peace, have formed a coalition to stop the menace, but the popularity of fascism and supremacy is still spreading.

Qu'arn: These genetic anomalies are caused when the tri-recessive and bi-recessive genes of two parent Takarri match up. [The Takarrian Genetic structure is QUITE different] This causes a mutation at maturation, when most Takarri die. The Qu'arn go into a cacoon state, then arise a year later, in a humanoid form that is different in all cases, however, height is usually between 1.9 Metres and 2.5 Metres, weight can become anything, as many Qu'arn become obese. The age of Qu'arn can go upwards of 700 years.

Social Structure: The Takarri are mostly solitairy creatures, working together only to win wars or on the job.

Reproduction: The Takarri can reproduce both assexually, by producing an egg, or by mating, which produces a live offspring.

Race: Burmecian

Average Height: 6-7 Feet

Average Weight: 80 - 120 lbs

Lifespan: 125 - 145 Years

Evolved on: Gaia

Pre Siesatia History:
Burmans are a rat like people who lived on the Mist Continent. They were there before the humans emigrated from the Forgotten Continent. They took to living in the westernmost corner of the continent, an area where rain was never-ending.

During the next 400 years, they advanced much, and left their period of isolationism. During the famed ‘Mist Wars’, the Burmans were almost wiped out by the fanatical forces of Queen Brahne, the queen of Alexandria. This act of genocide caused the mechanically inclined nation of Lindblum to attack Alexandria, and drew everybody into a massive, deadly, war.

The war officially ended on the date of Queen Brahne’s death. Both Cities of Cleyra and Burmecia were destroyed. Cleyra was hit worst, with a 95% death rate, and complete obliteration of its buildings. The population had declined from about 100 million, to about 4 million. Facing extinction, they entered another period of Isolationism, although this was frowned upon by Freya, the hero of the Burmecian Kingdom, until her death 35 years later.

Almost 200 years later, a great plague swept across the Mist Continent, and infected all the cities. Burmecia, because of its long period of Isolationism, was not hit very hard. However, Alexandria, and Lindblum’s had a catastrophically high death rate, less than 2 million humans survived.
The Burmans pulled through, and cured the remaining population. However, 2 million humans was not a great genetic base, and the remaining population died off.

Present Day (In Future Tech):
Many years later, a Siesatian scout craft was out exploring the area, its name just so happened to be the ‘Gaia’. They made it just in time to see the Burmans decelerate from FTL travel, and instantly sent out communiqués. Siesatia was in the process of looking for a new planet for their ever expanding population to relocate too, and the sparsely populated Gaia, was perfect.

The first Colony ships set down less than a year later, and the Burmecian King signed over the entire empire, the United States of Siesatia began educating the local population, and building up cities. All the cities that had existed pre Mist War, were rebuilt.

Species Charactoristics:
Burmans are an incredibly agile race, and prefer to be lightly armored and have their speed, than heavily armored and encumbered. They posses an advanced ability to jump, some up to a mile high, and many use this advantage in battle to their fullest extent. Polite and reserved, they are normally a fountain of good advice, and will not hesitate to take charge of any situation.

Military Fact:
The Burmecians form 100% of the Dragon Knight Corps. The Training facility, located in the deserts of Cleyra, on Gaia, are incredibly harsh, and no human has ever passed, or even survived. However, the brave men of the Gray Corp, of Arizona Nova are currently (As of 12/13/2004) trying to break this record.
