ooc: Dude, If I'm gonna be your peace negotiator, I think you should start using the SHIFT and PERIOD key more often. Also, check your grammar. Example:

and the list goes on and on and... Nothing personal man, but it's no wonder people don't like RP'ing against you when you can't write properly. A little tip: use a dictionary. I'm don't even speak english on a daily basis cuz' I'm from Norway, but still I write better then you.

Cottish forces are not weak. If you still bring along soldiers, they will be arrested as soon as the plane carrying them land on Cottish soil and repatriated back to their home country. The permission to land has been granted. Cottish fighters will escort you when you enter Cottish airspace.

She motioned towards the limo standing at the end of the cullom of soldiers.

A company of infantrymen from the 1th Infantry Brigade, the Elected Leaders own bodyguard, were standing in their parade uniforms ready for inspection.

The conference rooms and suites for both delegations have been prepared in the Electorial Palace, and we hope that a peaceful and satisfactory for both parties. The international press have been camping outside the palace hoping for good places when the press conferences start.

Jeff was grimacing as he got off the transport. He really wasn't looking forward to this. His expression changed however as the Cotlandian delegate greeted him form the plane, and he gave them a warm smile and offered his hand.

"Jeff Clipper of Slaytanicca. Many thanks for hosting this conference, and at such short notice."

He motioned towards the limo, that was parked right next to the honor guard composed of parade dressed infantrymen from the 1th Infantry Brigade.

Following the delegate the Slaytaniccan nodded at the honour guard, and then his eyes bugged when he saw the limo.

"Indeed, your hospitality is wonderful! We thank you greatly. I hope my stay in Cotland is as little an inconvienience as it can be, under the circumstances.."

He frowned slightly, then waited for the delegate to signal him into the limo.

As the envoys from both Slaytanicca and Neo Sephrioth arrived at the Electorial Palace in downtown Tunis, they were greeted by an army officer dressed, like all the other soldiers around the palace, in the parade uniform. The officer, a captain by the looks of his insignia and ribbons, opened the door to the limo and saluted as the delegates exited their respective vehicle.

Honor Guard Captain: Sir. Follow me please sir.

As the enterage moved thru the hallways of the Electorial Palace, looking at the paintings, pictures and items on display, with a soldier or two outside every door. Finally, they arrived outside a pair of 3 metre tall oak doors. The soldiers standing outside opened the doors and saluted while the enterage moved inside, where Elected Leader Thomas Rothsky waited.

Rothsky: Gentlemen, welcome to Cotland. I'm Thomas Rothsky. Pleased to meet you. I'm glad both of you could make it, and I hope for the sake of peace that we reach an agreement - he handed the Prime Minister a glas of Champagne and the underage Dante a Coke - So let's have a drink. For peace.

Jeff, apparently awakened from thought, started at the glass, then took it with a smile.

"An honour to meet you your, um, honour?" he hesitantly replied, always unsure of etiquette. "Jeff 'Gorevomit' Clipper, current Prime Minister of Slaytanicca. I must say I'm incredibly impressed by the hospitality you've shown us."

Apparently only just realising the toast being offered, he raised his glass and smiled more broadly. It had been several days since he had slept, after all. He glanced briefly at the boy next to him, being careful not to make eye contact quite yet. He really wanted to hate him, but knew he was a product of the political system of Neo Sephrioth. He supposed he didn't hate anyone anymore. While it stopped him from decking the kid right there, it did make the whole mess slightly more painful to deal with.

He took a sip of the Champagne, and continued

Rothsky: I must say that I'm proud that you both, bitter enemies, stand here before me with hopes of peace. And I shall do anything in my power to make the peace a reality, not only to you two, but also to your people. But, let's sit down and start talking. Unless of course you are tired and wish to retreat to your suites and rest. The talking can wait a few more hours.

Taking a sip from his glass, Jeff looked over at the Sephrion a moment, trying to predict his response. He then turned back to Rothsky.

"With all due respect, Sir, I'd rather make some headway now. If we have not caused you too much trouble already this evening, of course.."

Rothsky: Oh no, not at all. I have the whole week schedule cleared. Let's proceed into the conference room. Are you hungry? I can get room-service....

As the men (and boy) moved into the conference room, which consisted of a large room with a long table made of massive dark oak lined with padded chairs, computer terminals and on one of the large walls, several pots of coffee, tea, coke, a lot of cups made of the finest china, and places for hot-food-trays. The room was painted in bright colors and had several large windows overlooking the Mediterranian Sea. And the best part of it was that there were no press. They waited outside in the adjacent room, guarded by soldiers from the 1th Infantry Brigade, also known as the Electorial Guard, whose task was to guard the Elected Leader with their life (the Cottish equivalent of the US Secret Service, only military).

Several aides were already there, placing out papers, pouring coffee for the men and Coke for the boy, and generally just helping out.

ooc: I'm gonna wait for Seph to post before I go any further..

"No, no, I'm fine thanks.." the Slaytaniccan shook his head smiling. "The champagne is lovely, thank you." He punctuated the sentence with a mouthful of wine.

"Let's go to the conference room."

Rothsky looked at the delegates with a spark in his eye. It was so damn nice to see two formerly so bitter enemies actually talk to each other so... what was the word... civilized.

Rothsky: Well Dante, I understand that you wish to postpone the talks untill morning. That's fine with me, but can we at least establish a temporary size-fire untill the talks are over?

He walked over to the wall and picked up a phone and spoke with someone for a few seconds before hanging up. The person in the phone would call back in a few minutes.

"We'll allow the Titan Guard to leave unmolested, of course, if they remove the bomb and you agree to this temporary ceasefire."

The phone rang, and Rothsky picked it up. He talked for a few seconds and hung up before turning towards Dante.

Rothsky: Your butler was in fact carrying weapons. They have been confiscated, but I've had the guards release him. He will naturally be under close surveilance, but I'm sure you'll make sure he don't try anything fishy. He'll be at your suite shortly.

He turned back to Dante and offered his hand.

"I'm glad, too, we could finally agree on something."

He looked at the both with a proud look. They had actually agreed on something. Maybe there's hope after all.

Rothsky: Well, I'm glad we got that sorted out. Do you have any other demands before we can agree that the ceasefire is a fact?
If not I'm pronouncing that the ceasefire is in effect. I'm expecting you both to contact your generals or admirals or whatever you call your military commanders, and tell them to stop shooting on each other.

The Elected Leader looked confused. Weren't they going to discuss and negotiate any more? However, Slaytaniccan bourbon was a personal favourite of the Elected Leader.

"Yes, indeed. That was my understanding.. I'll communicate with my administration regarding the cease-fire, and if the nation of Neo Sephrioth wishes to continue talks on my return I'd be delighted."

Rothsky: Yes, I hope too that Dante will return here after he orders his troops to stop shooting at your soldiers. I trust you to do the same. Order your troops to stop shooting on the Neo Sephrioths I mean.

The Elected Leader looked at the Prime Minister with a grin.

Rothsky: Of course not. Feel free to come anytime. Just get an aide to introduce you first. Saves us all a lot of fuss, if you know what I mean...

"Of course. Thanks again, Sir."

Jeff left the room looking almost as awkward as he had done entering. He was a little pissed the young Sephrion hadn't shaken his hand, and actually quite shocked by his manner and his threats. He was happy enough, though. The lad had agreed to a cease-fire. Anything else could be done tomorrow.

He was beginning to trust the Cottish ambassador, too. Gorevomit realised Rothsky was risking as much as him in holding this conference, probably a lot more in fact. The host's hospitality had been admirable and he seemed very reasonable. He was a little intrigued as to the government's motives for hosting the meeting, if only due to a Slaytaniccan's inherant wary and untrusting nature.

He lit a cigarette as he left the building, the Cottish honourguard soldiers in tow, and prepared in his mind what he would say at this conference as he went to make his calls. Not much, he thought. No point in ruining chances of peace after today. He chuckled imperceptably. Was there actually anything positive he could say of Dante?

Rothsky looked over the edge of his steaming coffe cup and the latest issue of Cotland Times. There came the young Neo Sephriothan with a giant grin on his face. What could be so damn funny at 9 AM? Not that the Elected Leader complained. If he knew Dante correct, he'd be pissed as soon as the negotiations started. They only needed for Jeff Gorevomit to arrive before the second day of negotiations could start.

A waiter pulled out a chair for Dante and fetched him a glas of milk and some cereal. Apparently, Dante had enjoyed a good nights sleep, judging by the grin on his face.

Rothsky: Good morning. Did you sleep well?

He signalled the waiter, who consequently ran off crying. Apparently, he didn't take the news that the milk he had served wasn't good enough.
A bit puzzled and confused, Rothsky called in another waiter, and sent him off to get some green tea for the kid. Then, he called in a 2nd Lieutenant from the 'Guards.

Rothsky: Lieutenant, I think I insulted one of the waiters. Could you go cheer him up?

2nd Lieutenant: Sir.... - he thought a little (he's an officer, so he's allowed to think a little bit). Then, he saw the look that the Elected Leader sent him - YES SIR!

The officer saluted, preformed a text-book about-face, and double-timed it towards the last known location of the crying waiter. At the same time, he cocked his M9.

Rothsky: Lieutenant! When I said 'cheer up' I mean cheer up. Not shoot him in the knee!

2nd Lieutenant: SIR YES SIR!

With a slightly disapointed face, the officer holstered his firearm, saluted once again, and ran like hell.

At the same time, the second waiter came in with a steaming hot cup of green tea.

Well, I see that Neo Sephrioth and Slaytanicca appears to have withdrawed from the negotiations. Therefore, I declare the negotiations dead, unless the parties come here within 12 hours as of now.
