Official Parliamentary Statement
The UPLE (United Peoples for the Liberation of Earth) a terrorist group operating out of our nation has been found responsible for the devastating fires in our capitol. The Nationalist Party has been found assosiated with this fringe group and will be dealt with through trial in the courts. The Party will be disbanded and all members disinfranchised from any elections henceforth. The only motives we have been able to extract are that they hoped to discourage the nation's current mood of serenity leading up to the Presidential Elections, and that they hoped to either intimidate or kill the acting Premier, thus destroying the only real oposition to their presidential canidate. Cells of the UPLE are already being found and destroyed, the leadership of the Nationalist Party have been detained and are awaiting trial for sedition, treason, and intention to interrupt elections. All three of these charges are fairground for capitol punishment. Members of the UPLE will not recieve a trial since they are militant rebels, and therefore not citizens, and or civilians of Psov. We again thank those who have given support to our nation in the wake of the devastaing fire in our country. Parliament has decided to postpone elections by 6 months in response to the disaster.
The Reconstruction of the Capitol has already begun, and is an effort that is expected to cost the Nation $160,000,000,000's collectively.
