ooc: This is a non-Modern World inquiry. In the Modern World, Bonstock has been reduced to holding Singapore and nothing else, and is known as the Republic of Singapore. By definition, If I RP as the Republic of Singapore, it will be in Modern World RPs. All non Modern RPs will be based from Bonstock's land in Wysteria, with capital at Port Yuko. That is all.
ic: The Federal Republic of Bonstock Department of Defense, Department of the Army, is in search of a new Main Battle Tank to replace the Leopard IIS MBT, as well as a number of Abrams tanks still in reserve storage.
We request a good balance of speed, armor, and firepower, suitable for modern combat, against potential enemies such as the Russian Forces T-90, Bisonic GT-6, and Sinoese Type 98 MBTs, with particular emphisis on the latter. It should give us good reason to let it replace the current Leopard II.
The MBT must be transportable by C-17 aircraft and LCAC landing craft. We will not even consider models that are too big for those transports.
The compitition is open to all nations, including those which were mentioned as potential enemies if they would like to submit possibilities. This MBT must be markedly better then its predecessor, so as to impress Bonstocknian generals, many of whom are quite sad to see the Leopard II go.
Potential market for such a tank would be 18,000 orders, minimum, plus a request for production rights.
