The Martian Treaty Organization or MTO is a military and economic alliance between various Nations located on Mars. Any nation that is located on Mars is able to join however you may not join this organization if you do not live on Mars.

ooc: umm sorry to burst your bubble guys, but there already is a Mars with Old, very established ways, a bunch of lil guys turning up on the Red planet is gunna annoy them, and they can and will humiliate you quite easily.

While noone officially [by mod decree, except maybe GMC :P] owns Sol, there are a group of roleplayers in place there, and to be quite honest, they got there first. Considering that this person can't even spell Organisation correctly...

How do you expect new people to know of a region whose main roleplay resides in an offsite forum, especially if that forum contains people who are mainly NationStates elitists who hate International Incidents because of the 'inherent lack of quality in roleplay'? Let's just leave these guys alone and assume parallel universes; there are too many deviants in NationStates for anyone to proclaim "true" ownership of Mars or any other planet.

If it's a regional alliance thread, put it in gameplay. If it's to do with the planet Mars that exists in the Sol system, you have to listen to these people. If it's about another planet or place called Mars, say so.

Just as there are multiple Earths, it surely must be assumed there are multiple Universes (otherwise all the FT nations are kinda up the creek without a paddle).

Ah, an RP alliance does belong here. Now, the question here is:

Do you guys [a] want to be part of the larger 'Mars' RP community that already exists or

[b] Ignore it and call yourself a parallel Mars or

[c] Bypass the problem altogether by saying you're another planet that happens to be called 'Mars' too?

Does it really matter that much if we are called Mars. Just like Aligned Planets said there are multiple Earths so either go harass “The Earth” or just leave us alone.

The multiple earths are denoted by numbers to avoid confusion, Earth II, Earth III ands so on. Not a brilliant example, really.

These rules sorta dictate that whoever gets there first well, they have it. Now, this isn't neccessarily the case.. in any rate, maybe you could just be more creative and, oh, I don't know.. make up a name?

There is an "Earth" and "The Earth" for some odd reason those two names don't seem to be terribly different to me.
