The Pyramids of Ottoman Egypt

The Ottoman have been ruling Egypt since 1517, they took the Egypt from the Mamluk Empire. What came with the conquest of Egypt were the artifacts of the Ancient Egypt. Ottomans follow the policy of the Khaifs that was not to destroy them and to let them to be. Because they are of historic nature, do that the Ottomans kept watch of the ancient artifacts and not allow outsider to come and take it out of Egypt. Yet the Ottoman Government did some Archeologist form outside nation like Britain or France to come and do studies on the artifacts. Now once the Ottoman Government will invite archeologist from outside nations to come to Egypt and do some studies on ancient Egypt.

Now the Ottoman Government wants all Archeologists to follow these rules on the artifacts, first they are property of the Ottoman Empire and cannot be take out of the Ottoman Egypt. Also the Ottoman Government will decide who is allow to enter and do the studies on Ancient Egypt.

Note I am looking for good rpers who want to send archeologists to Egypt to do studies on the Ancient Egypt. Please post if you want to send a archeologist.

Professor Agron Maikovic stepped off the plane, a blast of hot hair hit him in the face, and the glare forced him to shield his eyes with his hand. Behind him Professor Mike Kellarov put on a pair of sunglasses and slicked back his hair.

"Wow, excellent tanning weather!" he said.

Agron scowled, he disliked Kellarov intensely, he was a good archaeologist, but they had different ways of going about things.

Behind them the four under-grads started to unload the equipment from the plane.

At the Sacred Heart School of Heretic

"Pr. Kys'suss they're allowing archaeologists into Egypt!"

The professor shot out of his chair and had his coat on in an instant.

"Who? Who's letting archaeologists into Egypt?" He inquired.

"The Ottomans!"

"Rastash form a team of archaeology students and meet me at my house. It's on the south campus!"

The professor was running home.

Later that night...

The eight students were waiting patiently as Pr. Kys'suss was readying himself. He began.

"I've made arrangements with the Head Mistress to have all of us fly to Egypt and begin excavation work. We just have to send the letter. It's rather small but formal enough."

The Letter

We would like to send an excavation and study team to Egypt. Please respond.

Comrade Alexander stood, nodding as he read the bullitin. "This is the perfect opportunity." He stated. "Who is our chief expert in cultural analysis?"
"A Ms. Konika Navokomic." Prime Minister Talimm replied. "She's currently on assignment in Atla Mia Sando and hasn't reported in."
"Pity."
"Her sister is an archeologist and historian." Talimm noted with a sigh.
"But?"
"She's apparently on leave, gambling in a bar somewhere I've heard."
Comrade Alexander exhaled slowly. "Right. What about Konika's mentor?"
"He already expressed he wasn't going to work in government, or he'd be in Mia by now." Talimm explained.
"I'll pay him a visit, see if I can't convince him." He said detractedly. "In the meantime, let them know we're interested."
"Right away."

Professor Daniel Harrison stood in amazement.

"Your sure?" he asked in disbelief.

"Yes, sir," his assistant said, "the Prime Minister just called."

The Prime Minister, it must be true, but if it was then it would be the first time a British team was allowed an Egypt since the Ottoman empire was in control. It was to good to miss though.

"Ok, well then, get a team together, I suppose, myself, Jackson, those two kids, uh, what are there names?"

"The undergraduates sir, Meyers and Smith?"

"Yes, yes, them and the linguist, Robinson. We leave in twenty minutes."

The plane landed with little event and the convoy awaited the team. They stood in a line on the edge of the runway, in the hot sun Professor Jackson stared out in the distance as the two cars ran down the dusty path.

"Remember," he said to the team,"we are here as represntatives to the United Kingdom, we must maintain diplomatic relations, or threaten a deep inbalance of political power between our nation and theirs."

They all nodded, as the vehicles pulled up they threw their bags over there shoulders and prepared to set out on their journey.

The cars pulled to the ended of what appeared to be a hastily made dusty road. They stooped at what to be an ancient site indeed. Professor Jackson stared out, wonderfully excited. They all stepped out of the vehicles pulling there equipment with them. Jackson saw a man that appeared to be in charge and walked up to him.

"Who's that?", Meyer's asked as Professor Jackson walked up to an unknown man.

The man, whom he understood to be the linguist called Robinson, spoke for the first time at this point,"Thats Dr.Julius No, the Ottoman archaeologist. I've read some of his work, quite good really, hes one of the Ottoman's foremost experts on Egyptology."

Professor Jackson had now made it to Dr. No, and had apparently greeted him.

Professor Harrison, Meyers, Smith, and Robinson all stood in the hot sun as Professor Johnson continued to talk to Dr. No. They began to look at their surroundings taking in evreything.

"2nd Dynasty, Old Kingdom. Old place here." Meyer's said looking around.

Professor Harrison, who to was glancing about, responded, "Old, yes, 2nd Dynasty no, I'd say this is older, much older." He looked worried but said nothing.

Robinson was staring about to and begant to examine some of the larger writing on some of the broken pillars rising from the sand, he chuckled.

"What?" Harrison asked.

"Nothing," he answered, "its just I think its funny how most of the writing in Egyptian sites consists of "curse this and eternal damnation that."

Smith and Meyers smiled and they all continued to wait for Johnson to return with instructions.

Jackson continued,"It was truly nice of the Ottoman Empire to allow so many groups to enter and study the Valley, this will be very important to the future of all Egyptology."

The old man stood and turned to glance at Comrade Alexander: A leader of one of the Kudian superpowers. Despite the black cloak and smart military uniform, he had the demeanour of a common man and seemed humbled in the presence of the teacher stood before him.
"Master Palok." He said.
Old man Palok smiled a little. "Hello Alex. It's been it while."
"It has." He replied without an emotion on his face.
"Tell me. Why have you come?" he took several slow steps toward the large window of his apartment. Beyond it lay a small flower garden; beyond that a sheer drop to the city below from the 84th floor. The Matsumata skyline filled in what was left.
"I need your help. We might've found a possible location for..." He stopped abruptly, looking away, his face cold and taciturn. "You know what for. The Navokomic pair aren't available. I hate to call on you, but the opportunity-"
"Egypt." Master Palok stated, although he didn't see Alex's surprised glance as he was looking out of the window distantly.
"...Yes." Alex said at last.
"I know. I'll go." He turned to look the leader in the eye. "I ask only one thing of you."
"Name it."
"I want my team to consist of only myself and my assistant, Bazen Yuko. My niece will accompany us also." The old man said.
"Done." Alex said indifferently, and turned, his cloak embellishing the movement as he swiftly left.

The sun was beating down on them as they excavated in a large 200ft by 400ft rectangle that had been sectioned off for the site.

They dug, Smith and Meyrs together while Robinson was examinig bits of broken pottery on the ground making notes on a small notepad, muttering to himself. While they dug Harrison and Johnson spoke, "So what nations are here besides us?" Johnson asked.

Harrison considered this, "I'm not sure, besides some Ottoman representatives I don't know any of the other teams but I hope to find out soon enough, this is to be a most exciting trip."

They continued to dig, all undoubtedly looking foward to talking to all the expert archaeologists that were with them and all the discoveries they would be able to take home with them.

Master Palok motioned him to follow, walking steadily across the helipad to the waiting UH-1 helicopter that sat with rotors buzzing.
Alexander stood just a few metres from the edge of the helipad, his long black cloak billowing in the wake of the rotors. He wore a cold expression, yet it was tinged with curiosity and concern. "So," he thought, "looks like it's take-two."
The two scientists clambered into the helicopter, and Yuko found himself looking bewildered at a teenage girl sat patiently opposite.
"My niece." Master Palok informed him.

"She is here on a learning exercise, and the only other person I need is you."
"Thankyou sir."
