OOC: This is an RP of the rulers of Witzgall and Phoenixius meeting to discuss an alliance proposal. Unless you have been invited, or have something incredibly constructive to add, please don't post.
IC:
"So, I'm to meet the Fuhrer at last hey? Excellent. How long until we're there - I don't want this to drag on too long - we have some wards to finish."
"Don't worry sir, we'll be there and back again before anything happens."
With the final preparations made, High Councillor Ellias Aubec made his way to his aircraft that would take him to the Witzgall Empire in Western Europe, and allow them to seal their alliance proposal.

The aircraft landed in San Marino, one of the military outposts of the Witzgallian Empire in Italy. The Fuhrer watched as the plane came to a skidding stop, and the Phoenixius High Councillor exited his jet. The Fuhrer walked over to greet him and show him to his limosine.
"Welcome to the Empire, High Councillor Aubec. I am Fritz Viechal, Fuhrer of the glorious Witzgallian Empire. Here is our ride now." said the Fuhrer, pointing to a black limosine that pulled up beside them.
An armed man stepped out of the back seat, and the Fuhrer and High Councillor entered the vehicle. The armed man entered the passenger seat, and sat himself next to the driver.
"Welcome to the Empire, Aubec. We will arrive in Florence in roughly forty minutes."
Aubec had a puzzled look on his face.
"I bet you are curious as to why we are "moving" this meeting? To answer your curiosity, I prefer my domain in Florence. More private there."
The Fuhrer poured himself a glass of Chardonnay, and offered the High Councillor a glass.

"Ah. I've always wanted to go to Italy." Ellias takes the offered glass and takes a sip.
A few hours later
The limosine pulls up infront of a luxurious building, whereupon the fuhrer bade him to leave the car, and head up the stairs with him. They walked up the stairs, chatting about current affairs, and how it could affect each others nations.

The Fuhrer led the Councillor to the Delegate Lounge, where many speaches have been prepared and the Fuhrer has met with numerous other national delegates.
The two men sit opposite of each other on a medium-sized oak table. A butler walks in, and offers the Councillor a drink. The Fuhrer opts for a glass of scotch, and awaits Aubec's response.

"Nice place you have here. Wonderful service." The butler walks in and hands out the drinks - brandy for Ellias.
"So, we're here for an alliance proposal. Shall we do the basics first? We help you in times of need, and vice versa?"
Witzgall
14-12-2004, 02:33
"I suppose that is a good place to start. But...will we deal in all areas of...shall I say service? Economic, militaristic, and political struggles? Or only 'one of the above'?"
The Fuhrer grabs his glass of scotch and takes a small taste. Extravagant, as his alchohol always is.
"Also...what kind of security are we looking at for people who cross in between our respective...'Empires'?"
Phoenixius
14-12-2004, 02:54
"I agree - all economic, military and political. If we're to help each other in times of war, we'll need to be in the best position economically. As for militarily, as I'm right next door to your empire, I suggest we construct a walled defense, similar to the Maginot Line in France during WWII."
Ellias takes a sip of his brandy.
"As for border controls, I'd suggest minimal security checks, but foreigners can have full checks."
Witzgall
14-12-2004, 02:57
"Foreigners...hm...how exactly would we go about knowing who is a foreigner and who is native?"
The Fuhrer shakes his glass of scotch lightly, and rubs his eyebrow gently for no apparent reason. Perhaps an itch?
"I like the idea of the defensive wall. I would have military patrol running our borders twenty four hours a day. It is what must be done, in my opinion."

"Well I understand there's this thing called a passport that registers each persons nationality - you may or may not have one." Ellias laughs. "Sorry, couldn't help myself. AS for the border, I suggest we begin construction soon. When the other nations here in Europe hear of this alliance, they are more than likely going to get worried, and get ready for an invasion of sorts. I have already ordered increased border patrols along the eastern end of Switzerland."

The Fuhrer calls for his butler. He requires a cigar.
"Switzerland, eh? They do not phase me. However, I agree...we must begin working on this immediatly."
The butler walks in, and the Fuhrer tells him to get a box of the finest cigars from upstairs.
"Please hurry, Jeffrey...I require one immediatly. Withdrawal is a bitch."

"I should hope they don't phase you - I own Switzerland." Ellias notes the butler bring in the cigars.

"I noticed. But such measures as increased patrols...that does not phase me or my sense of security. Your patrols should have been top notch from the beginning, and need only minor tweaking." the Fuhrer replies as he grabs a cigar.
He takes out his gold plated lighter, with the words Amor Patriae inscribed onto the front. He strikes the flame, which comes out a magnificent blue-red, and he lights his cigar. He offers his prized lighter to Aubec.

Ellias takes the lighter, lights it, then throws it into the air before catching it and handing it back. "Nice."

"Thank you..." Viechal says.
"Now let us become official. Have you drawn up a document of sorts yet?"
Phoenixius
21-12-2004, 02:09
"Yeah, here's one I made earlier in the show." Ellias laughes as he hands over a thick document.
OOC: Witzgall if you want to write it up ICily, rather than just being as above and being vague, then sure. However this seems to be the quickest route to take, and easiest.

OOC: Yeah, like I have the time to write up a treaty... IC:
"Wow...you really had your staff go to work. Hrm...let me page Scarlet as a witness. She's a Security Advisor to the European Empire..." said the Fuhrer.
He pressed a button on a small intercom, and Scarlet, a woman dressed in a blue sundress, walked into the room.
"My dear, please stand here and be a witness to this wonderful day." said the Fuhrer.
Two hours later...
The Fuhrer and his secretary had fully read the document, and had understood every section with ease.
"Beautiful work. I see you have already signed it, Aubec." Scarlet said.
The Fuhrer grabbed a pen from his pocket, and signed his name largely on the X provided. He signed it twice, as stated in the treaty for authentication purposes.
"I am glad to see our outcome." Viechal said. He escorted Aubec into a limousine.
"I must do some business. I am sure you understand. Until we meet again, Aubec." the Fuhrer said, as he shook the Councillor's hand goodbye.

"I don indeed. It was nice doing buisness with you. I shall begin the order for construction of our wall immediately. I'll be starting at the south of Switzerland first, then moving north. See your guys there." Ellias swung himself into the limousine.

The Fuhrer stood outside of his house as the limo drove away into the night sky. He smiled at the outcome of the meeting, even though he knew this is what would happen.
He turned and walked inside after the limo left sight.

Ellias smiled softly to himself - the meeting went well, and now his provinces in Europe were guarenteed safety now. All he had now was the problem in Asia.
