OOC: Well, this is my first time starting an RP on NS. I'll do my best to fit this in with the rest of NS, and see how it turns out.

Background:
Collapsia has long been a Military Dictatorship, ruled over with both an iron fist and a silk glove by the Glorious High General, who has done everything in his power to support the Corporations that provide Collapsia with its wealth. As a result of this, Collapsia has ended up a number of enormous, polluted cities. Its largest, and its capital, Collapsia City, has a population of over 100 million, and, from below, a perpetually pink sky. However, its skyscrapers soar over the polluted layers, shining brightly. At that level, they are pressurized against the thin air outside, and sparsely populated by the few who can afford to live there.

Down below are the oppressed, who work Collapsia's factories, and fight their wars. At the bottom they live in what were once city streets, but, due to more roads being built over them, have become tunnels. Above that are the slightly wealthier, who have streets, and, occasionally, a glimpse of the pink sky. In other cities it is much the same thing.

The ruling party, the Plutocratic party, has long suppressed all rivals. But now, they have decided, is a time for international legitimacy. They will hold a free election, and show the world that Collapsia, too, can be a free state. They will invite journalists from around the world to visit Collapsia, see Collapsia's elections, and tell the world what they see.

Any nation may send a team of journalists/reporters into Collapsia, maximum of one team per nation. These teams will recieve diplomatic immunity for all but the most heinous of crimes, and stay in luxurious suites at the Collapsia Grand Hotel, in the high, wealthy sector, with a view of the western half of the Collapsian nation. All basic expenses of the trip (Collapsian upper-class food and lodging, transportation around the city, and similar costs) will be payed for by Collapsia.

Khwarezmia's national broadcasting company, KMN, send a reporting team, and request unrestricted coverage of the elections.

Collapsia will welcome a team from Khwarezmia. Coverage will be mostly unrestricted, although the Collapsian Network Broadcasting corporation owns most bands used for broadcasting. They may, however, broadcast your coverage, and you will be able to broadcast freely outside of Collapsia.

OOC: I'm ging to wait for a few more teams, or until I'm sure nobody else wants to come, before anyone lands in Collapsia, so that I can do one post for every team's entry into the nation.

WE also request a broadcast team.

The Independent LNA (Lachenburg News Agency) would like to a team of journalists and cameramen to witness this monumental event. To educate our viewers on the importance of this election, our journalists would like permission to enter your countries archives for historical purposes.

Collapsia will welcome news teams from Lachenburg and FinalFantasyX55. The local problems with terrorism have not fallen as much as would be expected with an upcoming election, and violent anti-government activity is still nearly constant. Nonetheless, this will not stop the election. The Collapsian Marines, Anti-Crime force, will protect all news teams from the possibility of attack.

OOC: OK, I guess I've waited for more long enough.

IC: The three planes soared over Collapsia. Collapsian air traffic officials had wanted to make all crews arrive at the same time, and they had coordinated this with the foreign ministry excellently.

After circling around Collapsia City once, for a view of the amazing towers that make up the city, almost a manmade mountain of concrete, steel and glass, but way too steep to be any mountain, they were cleared to land on a long runway suspended by two of the towers. The planes soared between the towers, and touched down on the runway, one after another. The engineers had been masterful, and the runway didn't budge with any of the planes landing on it.

They attached to Gate 12 (Khwarezmia), 16 (FinalFantasyX55) and 18 (Lachenburg), and, at the end of the tunnels of each gate, some low-ranking person, only upper-middle class, rather than rich, working in Foreign Affairs, met them, and led them to meet up, preparing to leave the port as one group.

Zena Zeredsky followed the attendant, with her cameraman and a soundman in tow. Zeredsky was Khwarezmia's leading war correspondent, normally they would have sent some balding political correspondent, but KMN had sent her due to the security situation. She was slighty pissed off that she was there, on the plane journey to Collapsia she'd heard that Kharezmia was attacking Hotdogs2. KMN would be sending some unknown jerk there instead. An election a backwater nation was hardly her idea of an interesting report. She lectured her team as they walked.

"There's only two other international news teams here, so we haven't got much competition, but we still have to be first on the scoops. So keep your ears open. As there are only two other teams, Mike, remember your pictures may be used by other companies, so make 'em good."

She got a grunt in reply. They stopped at a press room and waited for the other teams.

The press room was simple and bare, but not cold, even in appearance. Nothing on these levels of Collapsia City was, except for outside the structures.

The attendant asked, in english, although with a somewhat thick Collapsian accent "Anything I can get for you while we wait for the other teams? Food, something to drink?"

"Could we have some water please?" replied Zeredsky, but she continued before the attendant could reply "so what are your opinions of the elections? Do you know who you are going to vote for? If you are going to vote for anyone?"

Beside the correspondent the soundman quickly hit a button and unhooked a microphone from his recorder, there was no point getting out the boom.

Zeredsky sat looking intently at the gawping attendant, her headly slightly cocked.

The attendant responded "Well, I think these elections are giving in to the terrorist factions, but a nessecary give. I plan on voting straight-ticket Plutocratic, as the Communist party is a pack who've been terrorizing Collapsia to get their ends, and there isn't much in between. Most of the terrorists now are on the Communist party's side. As for the water, I'll get it now," and he turned and left for the water, coming back a couple minutes later, with several glass bottles.

"Purified and distilled here. Collapsia prides itself on its water treatment quality, although there are exceptions, which we fix as fast as we can."
