Lost Expedition (Earth BC)

Legitimization thread for an Earth BC claim of North Eastern China. Will be quite boring for any looking for a good story, as stated earlier, this is just a legitimization post.

It was over 100 years ago since the last great explosion in the advancment of sciences, arts and society in the nation of Kyanges. Old moral standards had become very lax, women were taking on a more prominent role in society, the sciences and the arts were being taken further than ever before. It was a time of great prosperity, more so than the stable yet unimportant nation that Kyanges is today. This time was also when Kyanges took much of the land it curretnly pocesses. Exploration teams had been sent out to all the frontiers with orders to report back any region where Kyanges could expand into. One of these particular teams was lead by Valentina Athanasia, a women famous for her leadership abilities, and beauty. She had been sent out with a 30 person team, to the frontier, past the barbaric lands of the east, and with the mission of scouting out an area where a sphere of influence would later be established for Kyanges. It was a mission that should have taken only three years or so, with the original team returning to Kyanges for their next assignment. However, after a decade had past, it became clear that Valentina Athanasia and her team would not be returning. In fact later teams would find no trace of them, and the government officially recorded the team as lost or destroyed with minimal chance of new contact. In time, even Valentina Athanasia, and all her exploits would fade from the public's attention.

However, the team had not been destroyed, although they were very lost. While traveling the Great Eastern Desert, a massive sand storm had in a sense, blown Valentina's team off course. They wonderedthrough the desert and right through to East Asia, and the rich lands of modern day Manchuria. The team had wondered for over 50 years. The group's original members had already passed on, and even childeren had been born. The Team had already decided against returning home, possibly through the arrogant idea that they should spread their superior ways through out the lands. Whatever the reason, the team moved on and eventually settled down. Over the next 50 years, the original team of 30 had now increased to nearly 2,000, through intermingling with the local peoples of the lands that they had travled through, and thus had in a way loosly united the tribes of the land, and in time created their own nation of sorts. That nation is now the nation of Sapherion.

when we talked on msn you said that you were going to lay claim to a small town and work your way out from that. 2000 peopl is no where near enough to control the entire Northeastern section of China. Also, how 30 people bred into 2000 is a bit..... odd... I tried to TG this to you, but I dont think it sent.

anyways, I dont have a problem with this, just take my statement into account. Also I think we are going to have to downsize from Northeastern China to a small town/tribe

(ooc: If you are a tribe, maybe soon we can RP a clan battle between the Bloodfists and yours ;) )

oh, and FYI, 2000 kids from 30 people is (assuming it was 15 men/15women) about 133 kids per couple...... lol

I didn't. But I think that I know what part of what I said may have convinced you. But if you had read what I said that day a little more closely, I had said that that's where the intermingling with the local populations encountered along the way came into play. From Africa to China on foot, or even horse take a LONG time, and so, the people had plenty of chances to not only propagate with them selves, but also with local peoples encountered along the way. So 2,000 people DID NOT spring up from 30, but rather those 30 PLUS people met along the way. The idea is that they settled temporarily with some of the tribes or whatever they encountered along their route to China, and well, the rest is self explanatory.

So this:
2000 kids from 30 people is (assuming it was 15 men/15women) about 133 kids per couple

never happened.

About this:
If you are a tribe, maybe soon we can RP a clan battle between the Bloodfists and yours
heh, would be interesting.

but 2000 is still not enough to claim such a large area. perhaps you could take a small area like the bloodfist did.

*Sigh* What I wrote must have REALLY sucked, because it apppears that it is not clear at all.

In the story, the marrages were between the former team to peoples from many of the tribes in the area(like three, lol) , so, they in a sense became a part of each other, all linked to the former team. So the families in a sense united the local tribes up through familial relations, or if you will, by blood. They eventually grew closer and closer as time went on, with more and more childern together all decendents of the tribes, and so, they eventuall became united. The united tribes AND the newborn young equal far more than 2,000 people. These united peoples are all in the NE China area, so that's why that region can claimed as a whole. That's how its supposed to work anyway.

well as many as you see fit. Im just saying its impossible to hold an area that large with so few people.
