Situation Summary
Neuvo Rican officials have executed members of a facist party in their own country, and sent some to other nations such as communist louisiana.

There has been an uprising against the ruling party in NR, but government forces are quickly crushing resistance.

Nations have begun mobilizations.

As the morning broke over the Cape of Holstein, Fourth Reich of Psychopathic Warmonger and the crystal air was gently warmed by the sun's first tentative rays, the horizon was gradually swamped as the first of hundreds of naval and transport vessels hove into view. These ships were part of the first naval convoy heading for Neuvo Rica and it stretched for miles. The men aboard of the 4th SS Panzer Army were to be the first of many a convoy to place place in an assault with their allies that would restore the fascist government to its rightful place and so further prevent the recent wave of communist expansion.

The convoy included:

102 Hindenburg Class heavy Transports full of equpment and men,
8 modified Nimitz Class CVN's with 696 naval aircraft/helicopters on board,
3 modified Bismarck Class Battleships,
15 Kirov II class cruisers,
10 Ohio class submarines,
30 Ramadan II class Fast Attack Craft.

159,600 men comprising 6 heavy assault divisions,
1,000 Challenger III MBT's,
500 T-90 MBT's,
300 M1 Abrams MBT's,
2,400 AMX-13 Reconnaisence (sp?) vehicles,
500 155mm howitzers and 100 MLRS,
30 Zephyer attack helicopters.

These men were the pinnacle of Psychopathic Warmongers training programme and so were chosen to lead the assault that would serve as a beacon to all other nations. The assault was calculated with precision and would hit the beach at dawn in 2 days time.

Meanwhile it was now the job of the Fourth Reich Luftwaffe to soften up the enemy in preparation. As the convoy steamed out of the main ports of Psychopathic Warmonger into the open sea the AFB's across the nation were heeding the call to arms and were assembling their might. Many thousand of aircraft, bombers, fighters and others were taxing out onto runways laden with ordenance(sp?) and ready to go.

As the officer in command, Field Marshal Rehmer, stood tall and proud on his flagship the SMS CVN 4 Peter Strasser he peered at the horizon through his powerful lenses and speculated the death and destruction he could dish out aboard his floating fortress.

OOC:Apologies for the OOC crap, Intelligent Neighbors but I had to get a few things off my chest, so to speak. Well, here we go!!! Before this begins I must congratulate Intelligent Neighbors for a very informative opening post, the rules I couldn't agree with more :D.
Could I also request some things: 1. That your own losses are posted as regularly as possible 2. That some information is exchanged between the warring teams regarding rough military strength, terrain and location of major cities and ports. Thanks.

the majority of the inhabitants were killed in the aerial assault last night. We have lost 569 men. Over 1500 rebels are dead civilian casualties are over 3000 we couldnt help that...

General: Get the men ready to withdraw. We need to send some forces to the ports on the south. Our high altitude patrol has picked up an enemy convoy 2 days south of Veracruz. Several Submarines have set off from kicevo and Nordangger to try and sink some vessels they should meet some time tomorrow evening. ABMs and SAMs are in place in Veracruz the garrison is small but if we arrive in time it should hold.

Neuvo Rica, you are saying you are fielding 14 million men, this is roughly 1% of your population. This means that you would need roughly another 136 million men (9%) to support these troops. This is an impossible amount of troops to use. Sorry, but it is. Usually, a nation has 0.1% of it's nation as frontline troops, maybe 0.2% in wartime. For you that would be 1.5 million men, possibly 3 million. This is much more realistic. Please consider editing this, thanks.

Two men in a darkened room are sitting watching a large computer screen, appantly showing satellite images at high resolution.

"What is it?"
"I don't know sir, there appears to be large movement in and towards the jungle areas."
"Hm, military movement?"
"Probably, perhaps they will hide in the jungle and try to deny us victory with cowardly guerilla warfare."
"Yes, but we will not let them do that. How far away is the 1st fleet?"
"About 12hrs(RealTime) sir, and the 2nd fleet is 24hrs(RealTime) away."
"Are there any planes that are near enough to strike the enemy?"
"Only the 8 Nemesis planes onboard the Scope-Class Submarines."
"Ok, launch them."

The four Scope-class submarines belonging to the Imperial II fleet were well ahead of the rest of the fleet. They had set off early to carry out their specialised mission, and were now within striking range of the city of Nordangger, in the south of Neuvo Rica. According to military intelligence, including numerous satellite images, the navy of Neuvo Rica either did not exist, or was no-where to be seen. The submarines stayed deep until ordered to attack.

They rose from the ocean slowly but surely, hulking whales of steel. Water slid off their backs as they rose above the surface. Moonlight glinted off their shiny exteriors, and two panels slid back on each submarine with a slight mechanic noise, revealing a dark space. More mechanic noises emanated from the subs, and raised platforms appeared in the spaces, each holding a small plane. As soon as the platform stopped moving, the eight planes fired up their engines and shot straight up into the air, before turning and skimming over the sea towards the nation of Neuvo Rica.

The subs closed the hatches and disappeared beneath the waves, no-one knowing they had been there.

The eight F-201 Nemesis jet fighters sped towards the landmass at mach 1.8, and turned on their special Phoenixius Holographic Battlefield Visualisation Systems, as well as Wraith holographic systems and Archangel Stealth Systems. These would make them literally invisible to enemy planes and radar, as holographic images projected on the outside of the planes mirrored their surroundings.

I recommend you check the link in the post above that takes you to my storefront. There in the correct section (->Weapons Systems->Air) you will find the information on what each plane has. The planes really are superior in every sense. :D).

The eight planes zoomed over the still sleeping nation, now high in the night sky. The element of suprise would be vital, they needed this strike to end the radar capabilities of Neuvo Rica. The planes split into four groups of two, each going their own separate way, seeking the targets programmed into their computers. As they each neared their targets, all in and around Nordangger, they dived slightly, and each plane let off 2 High Explosive, bunker buster laser guided bombs. The pilots rapidly turned using their VTOL engines, and sped away back to sea, watching the fireworks behind them. One plane lingered above a lone power plant for a moment, and fired one last missile down. This missile was different though, it was a high powered EMP device, luckily the plane was hardcased...

IC: The city of Dansford was alive with action as the 5th fleet was Departing. Families lined the harbour walls wishing to wave there loved ones goodbye as they left on there quest to subdue the spread of the communist plague. There destination was for the city of kicevo a know rebel stronghold and since Intelligent Neighbors had already claimed Nordangger as there target. The ships slipped away over the horizon straight for Neuvo Rica.

In the Sierra Argento Soviet building...

Admiral: Sir, you must withdraw the 9th and 10th fleets from shaanxi, there are huge enemy forces approaching from the sea. The enemies launched a bombing raid on the eastern sector of the coast. Here is the damage

Two Radar systems on the coast are down, Nordangger is on Backup power, 23 soldiers died when the barracks were attacked!

Leader: Withdraw the navy from shaanxi, they shall come in behind the enemy trapping them. As for that bombing raid, make the 4th fleet sail from kicevo. Make sure the SAM batteriest in Nordangger are ready for any more strikes.

Admiral: Ok ... But we might be too late ...

Meanwhile somewhere south of veracruz 6 Typhoon class submarines are monitoring the movements of the psychopathic warmonger fleet...

Captain: the enemy fleet is coming closer. Ready the torpedo tubes, get the missiles ready.

At the Kicevo airbase the third and fourth squadrons of the third airforce take off, 30 Sukhoi SU - 32s along with three homebuilt NR Industries NR - 15 Khamseen Bombers blast off ready to wreak vengeance on the Intelligent neighbours convoy. Armed with Exocet Missiles and Air to air missiles they fly out over coast. The Khamseen aircraft are armed with anti shipping and incendiary bombs.

I am in need of naval reinforcements the enemies are closing in from the sea.

ooc: I edited my military strength as intelligent neighbours requested I am awaiting damage reports from Intelligent neighbours and Psychopathic warmongers.

The KH-11 satellites took its time over the city of kicevo picking out opportune targets for the 8 B-1B's long range strategic bombers that were already on route each armed with 12 cruise missiles each to help soften the defences when the ausslt on the city began.

As the coast drew near the bomber wing slowed down to subsonic speeds and went into stealth mode. The targets were now being uploaded from strategic command and the crew quickly fed the GPS coordinates into the JSOW cruise missiles. The main targets were power and defence facilities like radar and missile batteries.

Now was the time to make there presents known. The 8 bombers bomb bay door's slid open and 96 JSOW cruise missile dropped out, their boosters firing seconds after being jettisoned. The lancers wasted little time closing the doors after dropping. Turning around they slipped there wings back and speed out of there at mach 1 leaving the city at the mercy of 96 unforgiving cruise missiles.

3 of the cruise missiles hit the Kicevo hospital and the surrounding residential area, killing 2940 people. The Leader of Neuvo Rica has condemned this shameless assault on the Neuvo Rican city.

SAM - 2 Batteries are deployed all over the Kicevo peninsular now, waiting for any further attack from the sky. 3000 Jager troops have moved on to the peninsular ready to defend from assault.

The City is ready for attack. There are missiles and coast guns pointed seawards, and the neck of the peninsular is guarded by the elite of the Neuvo Rican army.

To the North of Shaanxi, on the open ocean there is the might of the Neuvo Rican navy, the 10th and 9th fleets. The massive armada is heading to Neuvo Rica as fast as it can in order to destroy any enemy shipping. On board the ships are 50000 marines ready to defend the port of kicevo.

South of Kicevo the SU - 32s begin to descend in altitude. Below them is the intelligent neighbours fleet.

Squadron Leader: Target the Aircraft carriers and the troop ships. Give everything you have in the initial attack while we still have the element of surprise.

The aircraft all fire exocet missiles, about 60 are released as each plane has been modified to carry two. The NR 15 aircraft drop the bombs they had been carrying. The squadrons reel around and get out before too many aircraft can be lost. Two SU 32s are downed by missiles.

The NR 15 aircraft speed up to mach 1 and split up from the SU 32 aircraft as they prepare to pursue the bombers that attacked Kicevo earlier.

So this post isn't a total waste, I'll be sending about 30,000 Marines, and 15,000 Airborne troops. Probally 20 ships or so.

Blood Wolf tribe are united tribes streached throughout the western half of the nation which is land-locked. The entire eastern half has a coast but is inhospitible due to freezing tempertures.

OOC: Um, I thought that Neuvo would at least acramble planes to TRY and stop me Nemesis planes escaping, but oh well...

So you all know, the Scope subs have been joined by the 1st fleet (IInd Imperial), and the second fleet (Ist Imperial, exactly the same) is en route and nearly there. The fleets are in defensive formation, with submarine nets deployed and AA ships covering the outside. A/C carriers are in the core, and VA-1 'Merlin' Fighters Patrol the air. (note that they are better than the Nemesis planes... -click here for info- (http://s7.invisionfree.com/Venom_Defense/index.php?showtopic=4)).

Intelligent Neighbors Fleet, off shore near Nordangger (not Kicevo)

The extensive radar of the fleet noticed the enemy planes as they approached. Sirens sounded, and Merlin planes were scrambled to intercept the attack. They were a little slow however, and enemy missiles streak towards them. Anti missiles systems, such as jammers and heavy flak fire started up, as well as patriot-like systems, trying to down the missiles. This worked to an extent, but 15 missiles got through the fire, targeting the largest ships in the fleet, namely the battleships and aircraft carriers.

5 missiles hit the INN Savior Aircraft carrier, tearing through the thin hull, blowing a hole in the side. Fires broke out onboard, and the ship began to list to one side.

Another 2 missiles hit another carrier, but only suceeded in doing minor damage. 3 missiles hit a cruiser, sinking it beneath the waves.

5 Missiles hit the Battleship, INN Redeemer[, but only minor damage ensued due to the thick armour of the ship.

In retaliation, three missiles from the fleet took down two enemy fighters. 50 Merlin fighter planes screamed after the retreating enemy, 20 splitting to chase the bombers, and 30 following the fighters.

Traveling at Mach 4.1, they rapidly caught up with the slow bombers. Practically invisible due to extensive technologies, the planes dropped silently behind the three lonely NR 15 bombers, and from the internal weapons bays of the planes, streaked 12 Awe King Anti Air missiles. The missiles spread out, 4 to a plane, and homed in, evasion was impossible, no pilot could out manoevre 4 missiles. To back up their point, the Merlins opened up with their nose cannon, trying to tear the enemy to peices.

The other 30 Merlins sped after the enemy fighters, catching them up eventually near to the coast. They let rip with 60 missiles between them, hoping to annhilate the enemy. After firing, they peeled back, and turned away back to the fleet.

Back at the fleet, Merlin planes soared into the air, 120 flying toward the city of Nordangger. Each of this 120 strong attack force was armed with 2 pinpoint missiles, like cruise missiles they were deadly and accurate. The planes fired their missiles before in range of enemy defenses, and watched as the the 240 missiles stormed towards the enemy SAM systems and radar installations, preparing the way so that the planes could strike the coastal defenses with ease.

Planes: 19 Merlin fighters destroyed on the deck of a carrier. 27 lost when ship sunk.

Nation info: Population of 1.609 billion. Huge Island, extremely flat and barren. All cities inland except for capital (City of Psychopaths) and Rastenburg. List of cities available if neccesary.

IC: The fleet was just 6 hours from the shore close to the city of Veracruz in the South and so far everything was going as planned. The enemy coast beckoned as the ships drew nearer. As yet the Psychopathic Luftwaffe had not figured much in the battle but this was about to change as the day became thick with aircraft and the smell of death.

Perfectly timed with the lauching of cruise missiles from the ships of the escorting force the first of many air-raids of Neuvo Rica began. 32 Tomahawk cruise missiles were lauched from the Bismarck class battleships which slammed into the main city area of Sierra Argento, targeting government and military buildings. The chaos was joined by the bombers of KG 132 as 60 Tu-122M-3 bombers carpeted the landing area defenses around the coast while 30 more dropped a mixture of large HE bombs and phosphorus incendiaries on the civilian areas of Sierra Argento. To conclude the strike 30 further Tupolevs bombed the ports and ships of Neuvo Rica.

The bombers flew back and were met by 25 Su-47 fighters lauched to intercept any would be attackers. As this was taking place the fleet was only 4 hours from Neuvo Rica.

"Captain I have unknown contacts bearing Green 238. Submarines sir???"

The Captain nodded and ordered a message to be sent to the Admiral in charge of covering forces. The message was sent to late and as the Ohio's and a squadron of Ramadan FAC's began pulling away to investigate the contacts the first sentries began screaming.

"TORPEDOES, GREEN 238. EVASIVE MANEOVRES"

The Doenitz began sheering away from the weapons but other ships were not so fortunate. The salvo of torpedoes slammed into the side of the convoy and immeadiately ships floundered. One Ramadan was hit by two torpedoes and sank almost instantly and yet three more slammed into the aircraft carrier CVN-5 Nashorn, crippling it. The remaining torpedoes ran between the lines of ships only serving to cause two troopships to run into each other.

As the men of the broken vessels began to take action several missiles found their way past the defences to further add to the chaos, sinking 5 other troopships with horrific losses.

Finally the ordeal was over and the convoy escorts began to hunt down the attackers who had dealt such a savage blow to the invading forces.
That night as the reports of the first full day of fighting came in, the government released the following statement of losses:

*Rastenburg Port*

The watch commander read the telegram in front of him and gave the thumbs up to a crewman waiting at the door. This was the signal for the second convoy to begin the 2 day slow and laborious journey to Neuvo Rica and was crucial in re-inforcing the expected bridgehead. The convoy consisted of:

146 Hindenburg Class heavy transports,
3 modified Nimitz Class CVN's with 261 naval aircraft/helicopters on board,
3 modified Bismarck Class Battleships,
10 Kirov II class cruisers,
10 Ohio class submarines,
25 Sovremenny Class Destroyers.

*Battlefield around Neuvo Rica*

As the Nashorn settled by the stern and began its death throes the last men were rescued by FAC's and the surviving 19 Mig-37B interceptors were taken off and sent to another carrier. The Admiral in overall command of sea forces, Admiral Peiper, signalled to his trusted friend and colleague, RAdm Barkhorn to sent a message to his remaining ships with regards to defence.

With the tranmission of the message and the relisation that this was no walkover, an aerial umbrella of 120 MiG-37B intereceptors and 10 Zephyer naval attack helicopters were lauched to ward off any more potential opponents. With the aerial defence taken care off and the Kirovs and Ohio's lurking to catch any surface prey, the Admiral once more felt invincible.

*Ohio Class submarine O-100*

The captain peered at the radar screen and a broad smile invaded his normally placid features. He spoke to his young radar officer as the Ohio's carefully tracked the Typhoons.

"Anyone with any naval knowledge would know that you don't attack a convoy with Typhoons. They are massive, slow, easy to track and are as easy to hit as a barn door. They shall pay for their earlier errors"

The officer of the watch nodded to the captain and indicated that the formation of 10 Ohio's were in optimum firing position.

"Show time. Fire all tubes, full spread. Make every fish count. Reload and continue tracking and be prepared to fire again or make evasive manoevres"

The Ohio's rocked slightly as 10 full spreads of deadly torpedoes speared through the murky depths of the ocean . . . .

The fighters pursuing the bombers were taken by surprise, 2 were hit immediately falling into the ocean below, with 1 crewmember from the second plane bailing out in time.

The third bomber deployed chff sending the issiles that had targeted it off course, then began to rise to a high altitude far above the ceiling of the Merlin fighters, it returned to an airbase in neuvo ricas, capital, sierra argento.

The SU - 32 aircraft were helpless, the initial wave took down 14 of the aircraft, the planes then fell to a lower altitude, where neuvo rican ground batteries could provide some cover.

In Santiago 30 miles north - east of the dogfight 20 NR - 45 Fighters are scrambled, travelling at speeds of Between Mach 2 and Mach 2. 5 they soon arrive at the area, laser guided missiles are launched at the aircraft while on the ground SAM 2 batteries fire missiles at the enemy aircraft.

The typhoon class carriers were in trouble 2 were hit and sink immediately, 2 were badly struck and limped back to the port at Veracruz. The final 2 were largely unscathed by the attack and fell back to the safety of the fleet.

Fourthly, out of 60 AA missiles fired at your retreating planes, less than half were hit? WTF!

Finally, Mach 4.1 is the absolute maximum speed, travelling at altitude. Therefore it is very reasonable.

*Seas around Neuvo Rica's southern coast*
The Typhoons limped back to port and the commander gave the order to break off the attack and return to the main fleet. The damaged typhoons could know be tracked much easier with their damage and turning their base to rubble would not be difficult. The ships were now just 2 hours from the coastline and final preparations were being made as the convoy altered its formation to better suit the lauching of landing craft and the bombardment of the landing point.

Air attacks continued to be a daily occurence as 12 B-1B's lauched 2 volleys of 24 cruise missiles at the naval base of Veracruz to deter any further submarine threat. As the day wore on the 7 remaining carriers lauched the first of many airstrikes on the landing area with 20 Zephyr attack helicopters moving inland to strike at troop concentrations and 150 F-420 fighter bombers struck in a 3 hours airstrike at hardpoints and defences in a 5 mile radius of the landing zone.

Things were now set for one of the greatest landings ever undertaken by Psychopathic Warmonger.

*SMS Doenitz - Kirov Class*

The admiral stroked his chin as the latest intelligence reports came in of 150,000 Blood Wolf troops moving into the area. Intelligence had also intercepted a number of message from the Blood Wolf high command showing that the troops were moving into southern and eastern Neuvo Rica to cover the landings but were unable to ascertain where the landings were really going to occur.

"Well, at least we have surprise on our side" He cleared his throat and laughed loudly. "Hah! Militia!, well begin preparations for landing"

His orders were carried out as the fleet readied for action. The men of the first wave and their vehicles were loaded into their 200 ton landing craft and given their 1 hour countdown to give the ships a chance to soften up the landing postions.

*Southern Coast of Neuvo Rica, near Veracruz*

The bombardment began with a volley of cruise missiles aimed at Blood Wolf headquarters far inland and soon reached a crescendo of smoke and belching flame as each ship from the giant Bismarck class with their 18.1in guns and cruise missiles to the Ramadans with their smaller naval weapons. The shoreline lit up and illuminated the faces of the watching troops as weapons of unimaginable power and fury were unleashed upon the defending troops 1 mile and more inland. The bombardment by the ships continued as the coast was obliterated by shell and missile and was suplemented(sp?) by the 180 MiG-35K fighter-bombers whose smart bombs and bunkerbusters ran amok over the battlefield destroying anything that moved.

As the aircraft withdrew to re-arm and re-fuel the cratered and pocked marked ground was picked over by 20 Zephyer attack helicopters who job was to keep the troops heads down while the landings commenced.

And commence they did. Under cover of the rolling naval barrage the 26,600 men and their armour comprising the first but not last wave peered over the sides of their LC as the engines were revved and their metallic hulls pointed at the beaches ahead. These men were among the elite Psychopathic troops and spirits were high as the coast beckoned. With 2 minutes before touchdown the bombardment reached a final horrific peak as the ships and F-420's returned to finally silence any waiting foes.

The landing craft inexorably knifed through the rolling seas and the men on board said their prayers and patted each other on the back and settled down to take their parts in the moment they had been training for these last months . . .

As the order came to lower the ramps the hardened men stepped out into waist height water and began the trek to the shoreline. With their rifles held high above their heads in a symbol of defiance they moved up the beach as the first LCT's rolled in with their precious cargoes.

The first losses were taken as the troops stromed the beach and made inland. The Blood Wolf troops were making themselves felt as men began to fall in heavier numbers. But as the second wave of landing craft approached the naval guns opened up again and started a rolling barrage to cover the men running to the shore. The shoreline once again erupted and the first tanks, some 100 T-90's and 230 AMX-13's were ashore and clawing their way up the sandy terrain.

The landing was still precarious but the beginnings of a beachhead was starting to form as the other waves of troops pushed up against the seawall some 400 metres inland, ready to renew the assault with their allies.

Leader: Tell the air marshall to use some Tu - 160s against the fleet. A dose of warheads from the blackjacks is bound to turn the tide of this war.


South of Veracruz …

The wind was strong and the seas were rough. Underneath the waves lurked a typhoon class submarine. Surrounding the sub was a group of 7 Victor III class submarines. These were serving as scouts for the 10th fleet as it returned from shaanxi. Behind were 4 kutznetsov class aircraft carriers. Accompanying was a larger still force:

The third typhoon of the scouting groups surfaces and locks on to the coordinates of the force attacking the coast near Veracruz. 4 of the Missile tubes open and 4 Makayev SS – N – 20 SLBMs are launched at the Psychopathic warmongers fleet.


In Veracruz Airfield 8 Tu – 160 aircraft prepare to take off. They are armed with AS 2 ‘Kangaroo’ missiles and KH – 101 Conventional warheads, which will be launched at the Psychopathic warmonger fleet. The 8 aircraft take off, flanked by 16 Su – 37 aircraft, should any problems be encountered. The Bombers speed up to mach 1.9 once they have passed over the coast, heading straight for the landing near veracruz.

The enemy fleet comes into sight and the bombers release the AS – 2 Kangaroo missiles. They wheel around and release the KH – 101 bombs before returning to Kicevo. The SU – 37 aircraft catch up and cover the retreat; they are joined by 12 transonic NR –16 fighters from the ninth fleet.


The Bombardment took a heavy toll on the defences at Veracruz. Over 400 had died, and reinforcements were desperately being transported to the beach. The defences had received strong damage, but Neuvo Rican forces still had some big weapons left. Seven of the original 40 big guns still worked and began to fire on the landing craft. An elite Jager battalion armed with Dragunov sniper rifles lined the top of the beach and began to fire at the incoming ships, aiming for the helmsman on each boat.

Most of the machineguns were destroyed, there were still some working and have begun to fire at the waves of enemy troops charging up the beach. . Several guns had been bought from veracruz to help defend the beach. The beach was mined; huge custom made mines had been buried under all the beaches around Veracruz, upon news of an invasion attempt. Further inland BM – 27 rocket launchers and Mortars begin to fire at the fleet.

Several helicopters have flown from inland bases ready to fire at the Landing craft they include:

under command of Admiral Gneisenau the total forces left on the beach are:

Simple, I fired cruise missile type missiles at you, at long range. These easily have way more range than a SAM missile. This is because a) SAM's have a small range so they can go faster (less fuel needed, lighter) and b) Because it costs less. I am sorry, but as the Pinpoint missiles I fired at you have a range of 2,000km max, so I dont think your SAM's will reach.

Blood Wolf tribe: There is no way you could ever hope to erect even a portion of defences in that time, especially as our navies and forces are bombarding the beaches.

"Right Away"

Within 5 minutes, every naval gun on board the first and second fleets began to pound the beach, systematically working it's way up. Waves of planes (400 total planes) swooped over the area, dropping special napalm bombs onto the troops below. Some fired bunker buster missiles at the fortifications, ripping them open.

100 attack helicopters (Zephyrs and Bolts) skimmed into the fray, releasing storms of missiles at the enemy armour and men.

The bombardment was kept up for 24 hours, reducing the beach, fortifications, and surrounding area to rubble.

"You have permission to fire your missiles Red 1."

"Affirmitive."

A submarine surfaces with a hiss in the middle of the IN fleet, and the missile doors slide back. Suddenly, there is a mass of fire, and a missile streaks out, climbing high into the sky before turning inland. It was followed shortly by two others, they also following the first. Upon the side of one of the missiles, a small inscription denoted the fact that they were Pinpoint MRBM's, with a 50kT Nuclear warhead. All the missiles were aimed at the capital city of Neuvo Rica, and they would hit at a speed of Mach 6.

"Those bastards will never know what hit 'em."

a heavy toll was taken on the blood wolf defence because there was not time to erect the proper defence. if it wasent for NR forces much heavier losses would have have been suffered.

Soldier: Its chaos, the missiles have hit hard, we suspect action by the intelligent neighbours fleet.

Soldier: Over 2000 civilians have died, communications are down, dont know military losses.

IC: *Offshore Veracruz beach*

The many troops that landed were surprised at the relative lack of resistance put up by defending forces and were not having too much problems pushing the defenders further back. But with Neuvo Rica being of similar size and strength the Psychopathic troops were soon made to eat their words as the Neuvo Rican fleet of 55 vessels were detected by radar supported by planes.

The admiral remembered his previous comment about 'the calm before the storm' and ordered each and every ship to break off bombardment to meet this new threat. The Neuvo Rican's were too late to stop the landings but they could seriously endanger the protecting fleet. As the last landing craft released their cargoes the first enemy fire was felt.

1 missile blew the stern from a Ramadan whilst 3 more struck the Kirov class cruiser SMS Paderborn breaking its back and causing the mighty vessel to keel over in minutes taking her brave crew with her. The ordeal was not over as bombers appeared launching missiles and bombs at the invasion fleet. The attack however had lost some surprise and only 1 missile plunged through the defenses to strike the deck of the carrier Peter Strasser destroying 6 Mig-35K's. The bombs however bracketed and heavily damaged the already struggling Ramadan Class hitting her twice more and sending her under the waves.

With the first volley over the Psychopathic ships returned fire. Each of the remaining 14 Kirov's launching a devastating volley of 2 SSN-19 Shipwreck missiles at the lead ships in the Neuvo Rican fleet. The party wasn't over yet and as the fleets closed the bombers overhead ween't given an easy time of it either. The fighter umbrella of 120 MiG-37B's did their job and were soon amongst the Neuvo Rican planes firing their 30mm cannons and their Archer II missiles.

The Ohios were also in action against, once more, the lumbering Typhoons and their escorts firing another full spread of Spearfish torpedoes at the convoy indiscriminatly. The action continued for sometime before a message was intercepted by the Admiral from an unknown source. It read:

'Good to see you made it, keep them occupied. Will strike from rear'

The admiral frowned until the answer came to him. The Psychopathic Warmonger second convoy had arrived! The captain on board the Sovremenny class Destroyer SMS Hans von Arnim had sent the troopships ahead with an escort of Kirovs whilst the remaining surface vessels struck at the rear of the Neuvo Rican fleet in a devastating pincer with the other Psychopathic fleet. All ships fired in conjuction as the ships bared down on each other. All hell broke lose and the skyline was a puzzle of flames and broken hulls. Meanwhile the second wave of transports had began to unload.

*Landing Area*

The first wave of troops charged recklessly and reached the outer trenches where they engaged in ruthless hand-to-hand fighting with the enemy Jager units. The losses were heavy until a flamethrower unit flushed the enemy out like vermin. Numbers were beginning to tell as more troops overran the enemy in greater numbers. Infantry supported by tanks rolled, ignoring the sea fighting, and crushed many a soldier under their tanks.

These advances were not without losses though as enemy re-inforcements struck with mortars and anti-tanks weapons. Several tanks and AC's were hit and destroyed by mines also. The brigdehead was beginning to swell as Psychopathic troops pushed out of the beachhead and into the surrounding coutryside. It now measured 2 miles wide and 1 mile deep.

The few armoured units of Neuvo Rica were pushed aside as 150 Challenger III's made a counterattack from the west, and the remaining thousand of defenders were in danger of being overrun by the 100,000+ Psychopathic troops that had now landed. As he watched from his flagship, Field Marshal Rehmer remarked to an aide "I have a feeling that this will take longer than expected"

Leader: Telegram the 10th fleet tell them to fire a retaliation attack at the Intelligent neighbours fleet. Tell them to fire 30 SS - N - 19 'shipwrecker' missiles at them.

Leader: Evacuate that area and the 60 miles around it. We will have to let them land there.

As the fighting continued over distant shores a third convoy set off from Psychopathic Warmonger. It consisted off:

This would set the trend for the foreseeable future as one of these convoys would be sent from the fatherland every two weeks to accelerate the build-up of troops in Neuvo Rica.

*Neuvo Rica*

Meanwhile the sea battles around the landings were taking their toll. The admiral in charge decided to sent back the unused and empty transport ships, leaving the ships containing vital supplies, to try and clear the area for the arrival of the next convoy. Overall 200 transports with 2 Kirovs and 5 Sovremenny's left the scene rapidly to escape the fighting.

Meanwhile the PW fleet now comprising over 100 warships was being battered by strong Neuvo Rican resistance. The morning brought further losses as enemy missiles and torpedoes brought about the end of many more brave fighting vessels. 7 transport vessels were hit and sunk in rapid succession by enemy submarine action and 1 more by missile attack. The Bismarck class warship SMS Derfflinger which had so far escaped major damaged was hit by three missiles and two torpedoes which served to inflict major casualties but not sink her fully.

Also a victim of the fighting was another PW capital ship, the flagship, the carrier SMS Peter Strasser. This mighty bastion of fighting strength was undone by a volley of SSN-20 missiles which struck her amidships destroying her fighting capabilities. Which the great vessel floudering the decision was made to put her under by gun. Finally the enemy took great pleasure in the sinking of 2 more Ramadan Class FAC's and a Kirov Class missile cruiser.

The remaining carriers readied their aircraft, previously used in action supporting the landings, and lauched them with the aim of an airstrike against enemy warships in the area. Overall 140 MiG-29K's and 10 Naval Zephyers took off from the remaining carriers armed with 2 Exocets each to deal out some revenge. Over the battlefield the aircraft combined with renewed firing from the ships sprayed their deadly weapons over the enemy, positive that they would do some damage that day.

*Landing Area*

The troops and tanks now stopped the advance to widen the bridgehead and consolidated their positions 5 miles inland. They threw up make-shift defenses and brought up reserves and artillery in preparation for the first major offensive into Neuvo Rican territory.

OOC: I'm sure you'll understand if my posting is a tad reduced over the Christmas period, but I have various family to visit etc. I will TRY to post as much as I can but don't destroy my carefully built landing while I'm gone :D.

Holy shit Neuvo Rica, have you ever roleplayed before?

You cannot just say you have spies in my nation, without even roleplaying their god-damn arrival. Also, how the hell did you get the virus thing into my nation? Do you not think that in a war security is highly tightened?

This roleplay is starting to suck because of you and your allies crappy roleplaying. If the quality does not step up, I will end this roleplay with the utter destruction of you and your allies by nuclear bombardment. I hate doing stuff like that, as it is not very fun. Please work on your roleplaying skills, and ask for advice OOC if you want.

Admiral: Get me the Air commander!

Admiral: Empty enemy ships are leaving the sea battle near veracruz. I suggest you do something to destroy them.

AC: 30 TU – 160 Aircraft and another 40 TU – 122s will be scrambled to destroy the fleeing boats. They are receiving support from some 200 odd of our SU – 32 Interdictor aircraft.

Admiral: good, make sure they do I want those boats blown out of the water. Officer? How is the sea battle coming?

Officer: Sir we are sustaining losses but we are making a hole in their defenses. Losses are increasing however.

Admiral: Sail the 8th and 3rd fleets from Kicevo and Santiago we will trap the enemies outside veracruz.

Officer: yessir … oh and yes the enemy are preparing for an offensive to break out from the beachhead.

Admiral: Then it must be halted, get the third Drakensburg armoured division to stop them dead in their tracks. Make use of the 2nd commando division, use the sniper groups to fend off the offensive. Use the rest to get behind enemy lines and destroy what little infrastructure there is. Have the 2 regional armored divisions ready for a counter offensive. I will contact the air force and tell them to begin a heavy bombing of the area held by the enemies.


Rakvere Airport …

The aircraft come out onto the runway … it is night time and in the distance the glow of the furious naval battle in the distance can be seen. The aircraft take off and begin to fly in a loose formation. The entire group travel at a speed of Mach 2.3 and prepares to give the retreating vessels hell. The enemy flotilla comes into the radar view of the lead SU – 32. The escort leaves the bombers and circles the fleet, outside of the range of AA fire.
The bombers release their weapons at the fleet, the TU – 160s release AS – 20 and KH – 101 missiles at the fleet, whilst the tu – 166 aircraft drop heavy laser guided bombs. The aircraft wheel round and are rejoined by the escort of SU – 32 aircraft. For additional protection 60 XAC JH – 7 aircraft from the advancing 3rd fleet join the air group.


On the seas below;

The 3rd fleet sails quickly through the water as it approaches the sea battle. It still has 160 miles to go, but it will arrive in time to help bring about an end to the enemy threat near veracruz.


About 300 miles northeast, the slightly smaller 8th fleet approaches the battle. Neither fleet launches a long-range missile assault for fear of hitting a Neuvo Rican vessel.

At that moment an enemy missile strikes the bridge killing the admiral and the commander of the Sierra Argento instantly. The New commander is on Rakvere a Kynda class cruiser: vice admiral Carrero, cousin of the president of Neuvo Rica, a veteran of previous fighting in the UAE.

He orders a renewed offensive against the enemy fleet. All Neuvo Rican ships withdraw from the fray and regroup ready to advance once more at the enemy firing as many missiles and guns as possible.

Soldier: The States of Drakensberg and what is left of Nordangger have split from the Union, they have estblished an independent republic, this country is now in a state of civil war! The states of Kirsuit and Nevado are in turmoil. 132000 people are demanding political reform.

Leader: The nation is crumbling around me, it is no longer safe here in Kicevo, get a plane ready to fly me across the border to the safety of Eston - i - a, I shall have to establish a government in exile in my puppet nation.

Soldier: Sir flight by plane is not safe.

Leader: You may have a point there, I shall travel by the armed train.

Soldier: And the rebels?

Leader: Launch a Nuclear warhead at Nordangger tell the others that that is what they have coming if they dont stop.

Soldier: Rightaway...

I dont mind losses, provided they could actually happen.

Why have you IGNORED a nuclear attack? It was perfectly feasible? Only n00bs and NATO members ignore stuff like that.

Lets start again, no more OOC complaints and such, no nukes, bio or chem weapons and such. Apologies to all.

"Time to begin the attack boys!"

Captain Clark stood at the front of the lead landing ship, just one in a fleet of over 150. Around him, men of the Imperial Forces of Intelligent Neighbors stood ready to give their lives for the greater good. Over to his flank lay the ships of the X-Soldats, Soldiers who had been slightly genetically modified to produce qualties surpasing those of normal men. He could count on those soldiers to do their job, and secure the beachhead at all costs.

The boats of the assualt fleet began to move towards the beach, the beach bombarded relentlessly for days. LCAC Transports sped onwards, carrying tanks and AFV's right to the heart of the battle. Within five minutes boats had hit the shoreline, spilling men out onto the beach under a rain of fire. Quickly the X-Soldats dashed forward, weilding panzerfausts and heavy machine guns to attack with. The regular soldiers assumed firing positions behind barriers and began to place covering fire on the enemy, using their FN F2000's sights to full advantage.

Zephyr and Bolt attack helicopters skimmed over the water to the beach, and began to target enemy locations as pinpointed by the soldiers below. Rocket pods and HE bombs slammed into the weakened enemy defences, and the nose cannons blazed.

Tanks and armoured vehicles led a chrage up the beach, rushing up to hit the defenses head on with maximium force. Crew members desperately fired Beehive rounds (Ball bearing loaded) into the bunkers, and other tanks blasted holes with HE rounds.

The Neuvo Rivcan troops fought back bravely though, and many men died on the sandy beaches. Tank ruins littered the area, burning. There was also the odd helicopter, shot down by a lucky shot from the defending Nuevo Rican units.

In amongst the carnage, Captain Clark sat in his foxhole, issuing commands via his radio. "Requesting air support, we need total air superiority, now!". Within 5 minutes, Merlin fighters began screaming overhead, dropping bombs on enemy positions and keeping a watchful eye out for enemy planes. Below them, 80,000 men poured over the beach, overwhelming the battered defenses.

Message: We have begun landings near Nordangger, we will attept to push towards your location to link up with you. We would be much obliged if you could do the same. We are currently deploying large numbers of Zephyr (No e!) attack helicopters to assist in the landings.Once we have a beachead secured, we will attempt to transfer one of our Rotary Attack Forces to aid you in your fight. We wish you the best in this conflict.

Flights of B2 Bombers from Intelligent Neighbors flew high above the cities and regions of Nordangger, Drakensberg, Kirsuit and Nevado. Bomb doors opened and out tumbled cylindrical objects, large and clumsy they fell toward earth. When nearly at the ground, parachutes plume from the back of them, and they slow to a gentle drift. The front of the canisters swing open and thousands upon thousands of leaflets dropped out, spreading in the breeze over the cities and regions.

Each leaflet was identical and contained text written in Neuvo Rican language. It proclaimed that the liberating Intelligent Neighbors vowed to protect the newly formed republic. The leaflets stated that the oppressive Neuvo Rican government would be brought down, and the republic fully protected like a part of the Empire of Intelligent Neighbors would be. Intelligent Neighbors recognised it's claim to independance and vowed to let them have it.

Spy Satellites watching the area pinpointed the locations where Rebel fighters clashing with government forces were, and the stealthed B2's dropped more canisters on the rebel side. The canisters floated to the ground supported by parachutes, and landed heavily amongst the suprised rebels. The huge canisters popped open, revealing masses of weapons and ammunition, including M4 Assualt rifles, heavy machine guns, grenades and rocket propelled grenades. Also in each canister was a small note, which read:

"From Intelligent Neighbors, Happy Christmas. May luck shine on you in this hour of conflict."

4 miles west, at punta alleghre the Neuvo Rican area HQ…

Colonel: Take the men from the beach defenses, this is a battle better fought inland. Pull them back to the farmland behind the dunes.

Soldier: Yessir the units will make a covered retreat.

Colonel: How many special forces do we have?

Soldier: 300 Kommando units and 2000 Jagers.

Colonel: Pull the Kommandos back to Valdivia the inland village. Use the jagers to stall their advance, what weapons do they have?

Soldier: Steyr TMPs, HK – 33 assault rifles and Berretta AS 90 Machineguns. About half have Dragunov sniper rifles instead of the Machineguns and of course, Swords.

Colonel: Put the snipers on clifftop positions, pick off enemy Officers, try to create confusion in the enemy ranks. Pull all other units back to the farmland inside the coast, use the irrigation ditches as defenses. Pull the snipers back when they have created enough confusion. Get some heavy stuff in the ditches as well…

Soldier: Such as?

Colonel: KPV heavy Machine guns, pack howitzers rocket launcher systems, oh and get some BM – 27 launchers in inland positions and begin to fire. Bring troops forward to the farmland. How many do we have?

Soldier:
20000 Regular forces, 600000 more will arrive tomorrow, we have 2000 Jaegers as well.

Colonel: I shall inform the president.


In Kherson the capital of Eston – i – a where the Neuvo Rican soviet has been set up …

Leader: another huge landing? Are you completely incapable of just shooting the enemy to pieces!? Even I can do that!

Admiral: Sir we have laid a mine field from Neuvo Rica the Neuvo Rican coast near Veracruz, any further Psychopathic warmonger convoys will be in for a shock. Our reinforcements have arrived off Veracruz, but we are still awaiting the progress report. The Sierra Argento has sunk and the Admiral of the Tenth has been killed when a SS – N – 19 missile hit the bridge.

*Fuhrer Bunker, City of Psychopaths*

The Fuhrer wiped sweat from his brow as the latest reports from Neuvo Rica flopped onto his desk. He frowned and brought his palm to his forehead in a motion that reflected the mood of a man who knew that all was not well.

"Landings good, Air Superiority coming on well. Gentlemen, The Naval Situation is not at all satisfactory, why are we not blowing them out of the water???"

He addressed no-one in particular but instead made the assembled staff stew under his white-hot stare. He stood up and faced out of the large windows behind him waving a finger accusingly at the assembled materiel in the city below.

"Made preparations for total war, gentlemen. This is one conflict we cannot afford to lose now"

The order went out to gear the entire nation to a war footing, and it was done with admirable efficiency. The army generals brought more and more divisions to stand-by to be loaded onto the ships assembled, the air-force chiefs ordered more bombing raids to commence and the under fire Naval Commanders, whose heads were most at risk, busied themselves in the creation of the largest PW fleet ever to sail.

*Veracruz Seas*

Unawares of the consequences the battered ships covering the landing fleet continued their unequal struggle against the men whose nation they hoped to conquer. The bombs continued to rain down on the hapless ships but it was for the third convoy that the largest surprise was to take shape.

At about 3pm the convoy had reached a position close to the NR shore. It was steaming in 3 columns with the escorts flicking in between the transports to provide maximum coverage. As the sentry watches were being relieved the lead ships struck mines carefully concealed and began billowing flame and smoke.

The carnage unabetted as the rear ships pushed on to seal the fate of the ships ahead and as the sinkings died down the full scale of the losses were felt. Meanwhile the main fleet continued to return fire as they knew best to stem the assault upon their beleaguered colleagues.

The Ohios who had scouted ahead, detected by long-range radar the sailing of another, larger, NR fleet. Radioing this development back to headquarters they opened the launch tubes containing their deadly cargoes and launched a volley of Tomahawks at the advancing ships before turning tail to receive more ammo for the impending battle.

*Beach-head near Veracruz*

Having got the telegram from IN CinC, each and every soldier of the PW landing forces made their places ready for the first offensive to link up with the advancing forces of their allies.

The 155mm's opened up a ferocious barrage and the MLRS targeted troop concentrations further inland as the troops pushed up, ready for the off.

In Rakvere, the Admiral’s base…

Officer: Sir the mines worked, spy planes have reported seeing several ships go under.

Admiral: Good… it is about time we had good news…

Officer: However, an enemy missile assault on the 3rd fleet hit hard… the Liberdad is in urgent need of repair. 1 Kynda class cruiser and another fregat class destroyer were sunk. 1 further fregat class ship is in need of repairs.

Admiral: Keep the fleet moving, I will have supply helicopters fly supplies out to the ships. When the PW fleet has moved on, lay more mines, in new positions. Launch a retaliation strike on the enemy fleet.


Underneath the 3rd fleet, a group of 4 typhoon class subs surface, the missile bays creak open. 32 SS – N – 19 missiles are sent blasting in the direction of the fleet that launched the Tomahawk missiles. 1 hour later 5 helicopters carrying the supplies and engineers necessary to repair the flagship arrive. The fleet continues to sail towards the enemy convoy. The Victor class submarines fan out ahead of the main fleet and prepare to launch the initial strike. 30 Miles north, in an airbase near the coast, seventeen TU – 160 Aircraft take off to launch a bombing raid on the fleet, traveling at Mach 2 they blast out to sea …

Officer: I can assure you they don’t… 6000 people took to the streets of Kherson in demonstration today. Even worse, Intelligent Neighbour forces are only 30 miles from republican held ground. Another 70 miles east is the PW landing zone. I have contacted the general, he is to launch a massive offensive to drive the enemy back into the sea.

Leader: …

Officer the 8th fleet has arrived off Veracruz to help with the ongoing sea battle the enemy don’t seem to want to give up, if we are to halt their advance then we must hold that sea.

Leader: urgh this is going worse than planned.

Officer: once the enemy are off the beaches they will move quickly to the capital. YOU MUST MOVE TROOPS TO THE PW LANDING ZONE! Stop them from joining with IN forces.

Leader: Send more then … the first army 100000 men with tanks … artillery … the lot. I want to see the enemy back in the water. I need to do all I can ... My allies have deserted me.

Officer: I cannot guarantee anything … we will try to push the enemy back.

Outside the Neuvo Rican leader's residence ...

Ten men run across a leafy driveway about 30 yards along is the front door to the Leaders residence. In front are three guards patrolling, armed with Glauberyt SMGs. They are approached by two men who request a meeting with the leader. The guards refuse, and the two men begin to reason, distracting the guards.

At that moment eight more men run from either side with drawn swords quickly killing the three guards. Twenty more armed characters come towards the residence. Using charges the door is blown in and all thirty rebels charge in. Whilst twenty engage Security guards in a firefight, 5 more run ahead. 3 of them are soon felled by Neuvo Rican gunners but the other 2 escape the fire.

While one returns fire killing the gunners the other kills the guard outside the leaders bedroom. The rebel bursts in and shoots the leader several times in the head with an HK SOCOM pistol.

As neuvo rican security close in behind the rebels almost all are captured. At the end of the night only three of the rebels are unaccounted(sp?) for. Leaving the fate of Neuvo Rica's communist to be bickered over by the leader's brother and three sons.

*Landing Zone*

The troops in the forward trenches watched closely through powerful lenses at the enemy front lines, just 400m in front of them. They also listened closely as the barrage from artillery, rockets and ships continued.
The Neuvo Rican forces had been on the receiving end of the most ferocious barrage PW forces could cook up for 4 hours now. Like the battles of yore the enemy should be sufficiently subdued to make for an easier assault.

Suddenly the Lieutenants received the orders to move out and they moved up to the trenches firing plate to distribute the orders and messages of goodwill. They explained that 80 miles from here were the allied soldiers of Intelligent Neighbors and if they could link up with them, then the war would be essentially won.

As the rousing shouts and cheers rang out from the mouths of hundreds of thousands of brave soldiers the whistles were blown that would launch the offensive. In one sector the Lieutenant stood up to shout encouragement at his men before falling back down to the sodden earth in a cloud of red mist.

As the first wave of 210,000 troops and 1,500 armoured vehicles advanced towards the IR positions under a rolling barrage of shrapnel and flame the commanders back in their field HQ's began the first laborious tasks of administrating and supplying the entire campaign.

Within the first hours of the attack over 4 miles had been gained but little losses taken as the NR troops still tried to move into position.

The Neuvo Rican government is in turmoil, in the shock after the assassination the 13 rebels captured in the attack are put to death. The brother of the ex leader oversees this, and assures that they are executed the traditional way that traitors are. Thirteen of them are hung drawn and quartered before the brother leads a huge band of militia into the jungle.

The governments first move is to appoint the popular reform leader Matyas Kadar as leader. The new leader is a skilled soldier, and spends his first day 'in office' leading a band of Jagers in the streets of Sierra Argento gunning down unruly militia loyal to the old leader. Frontline armies are withdrawn and ordered to regroup, whilst the leader recognizes Drakensburg as a free state.

*PW forces in Neuvo Rica*

With a cease fire organised the PW offensive was briefly halted 6 miles from its starting point in accordance with the truce terms.

A telegram outlining the events that had taken place was sent to Intelligent Neighbours with a footnote stating that in the event of any further hostilities put up by NR forces than the PW forces in Neuvo Rica would have no hesitations in resuming the drive to victory.

So, all along the battlefront, with the exception of the naval forces still on full readiness, peace was born out of chaos as each side went about regrouping and uniting together.

"Sir, reports indicate that Government forces are attacking Drakkensburg, in violation of the ceasefire."

"Right, they want to break the ceasefire, then so be it. Get IN command on the phone, tell them we need the airborne, as soon as possible. Get them to drop troops just south of the city, there will be no enemy forces there."

"Yessir, what else?"

"Send 200 Merlins to fly over Drakkensburg, shoot up any planes and government vehicles you see. Also send one of the Rotary Attack forces in to the fray, target the enemy armour."

"Thank you sir"

The aide leaves Captain Clark standing, shaking with anger by his desk. "How dare they do this?" He thought. Clark composes himself, and picks up his radio. He broadcasts a message to his waiting commanders:

"Get ready boys, we're going in! We're going to split our forces, the main thrust will be towards drakkenburg, we need to help the men that will be dropping in, and the smaller thrust will be towards PW forces.

Blast anything that moves, and ride like hell, don't stop, punch through and keep going."

Half an hour later, and the artillery opens up, pounding relentlessly the enemy positions, methodically carpeting the area. The artillery stops, and the roar of tank engines is heard. Speeding forward, the Revenant MkIIU's and Pz-4 Jäger-Mörder MBT's engage the enemy with Mortars, 145mm ETC cannon and machine guns. Light tanks and IFV's support.

Radioman: There are huge minefields around drakensburg, recon report an airborne force has landed and is moving to the attack with support from light tanks... there has been a mssive artillery barrage of the defenses in the area, most bunkers are down... We still have trenches and machine gun posts. Artillery is being bought forward from the centre of the city to counter the barrage..

Officer: Bring the enemy under mortar fire, blow them to hell ...

Radioman: Sierra Argento has sent 200 electronically ignited fast firing NR - 30 mortars ... similar to the Metal Storm weapons...

Officer: Use those, they will regret launching an attack here, send them back into the abyss... Have we got any anti tank weapons?

RM: Yes we have several batteries of tank killer units, Upgraded hornet Malkara armoured cars...

Officer: good, once we have beaten off their main attack hunt down the survivors... Give 2 rocket launchers to each company anything that comes out of that jungle is not to remain alive for more than a minute ... and that is an order...Send this to the enemy, it will demoralize them and it will make them think, I have an idea for a way to stop the enemy attack...

In Drakensburg the NR 30 batteries open fire, pouring thousands of bombs into the enemies advance. In the skies above enemy aircraft begin to attack TU - 160 aircraft ... on the ground ZSU AA positions open fire on the Merlin fighters. In the West and south, forces begin to advance to support the Neuvo Rican army in Drakensburg.

Finally all was ready and as the last troops were moved by APC to the starting point the PW army in Neuvo Rica had grown hugely. Now supported by 3,400 aircraft and 1,000 carrier aircraft/helicopters, the armies included 580,000 combat troops and 5,600 armoured vehicles. The only task remaining to the attackers was to wait, as only they knew how, for the final assault.

With only hours to go a telegram was sent out:

So the moment came and the first signals were sent out to the field commanders of all nationalities to begin advancing. The tanks of the 9th SS Panzer division spearheaded the attack towards Sierra Argento with 3/4 of the PW force and the remaining forces struck out towards the troops odf Intelligent Neighbors.

Advancing under the by-now recognised rolling barrage, the battle-line once more lurched forwards. In the skies above, 350 fighter-bomber aircraft were set loose upon enemy forces up to 75 miles away and 60 B-1B bombers cruised high above releasing their cargo of 2 cruise missiles each onto army and air-force headquarters of the resisting few.

Drakkensburg, Paratroop Base

Captain Frink looked out across the city, observing the burning buildings and wreaks of tanks. Gunfire rattled in the streets as forward elements of his warriors clashed with government forces. Around him his men were dug in, using foxholes dug in soft areas, buildings and rubble for protection. A few light tanks were camoflaged in the rubble, waiting for the enemy.

Frink had just received the message from Neuvo Rica asking them to capitulate. He sighed, then ordered his aide to send a reply:

"Nuts!"

They would slaughter the Neuvo Ricans, and kill thousands of civilians if need be to suppress this vile government. There would be blood spilt on this ground, and the city of Drakkensburg would be turned into another Stalingrad. He stood up and issued commands to his men, they were to use the sewers and buildings to wage a war of attrition on the enemy, cutting them down with Justice SMG's and grenades, and chucking Molotov cocktails on top of tanks. The 2000 men of IN, and the 1000 Rebel Soldiers acknowledged his orders with pride, and began to prepare.

Frink now turned, and walked back inside his improvised bunker, where 100 Freiheit Special Soldiers waited for him. They were members of the Elite X-Soldiers, chosen for their remarkable combat abilty. They had each been fitted with a VEPR Next Generation Combat System (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=378985), giving the men 4x their usual strength and providing body armour as well (Note, NOT a godmode, these men die when hit by a mortar, like everyone else...). These troops had been provided to give the edge to the Paratroops in the upcoming conflict. Each man carried an assualt rifle, and some were equiped with anti-tank weapons and heavy machine guns.

"Go to the east of the city, clear a passage out of here for the troops coming under Captain Clark. Keep the way open, we need to let them in when they arrive. Kill as many as you can..."

The Freiheit soldiers turned and collected their equipment, including masses of spare ammunition. They knew they had 7-8 days at full power, before they had to take off the suit and be 'normal' again. They knew that in that week, they would have to smash the enemy up big. They moved out at a blistering speed.

IN Army HQ, Neuvo Rica

"We are meeting strong resistance sir, heavy mortar fire is pinning us down, we have lost 4,000 men to gain very little ground."

"Shit, that means a total of 12,000 men so far out of our 800,000. I'll call for some missile barrages followed by close air support."

"What about the mines sir?"

"Simple, order all of our artillery to commence firing upon the mined areas, by blasting the ground we can clear the mines."

"Yessir".

Out to sea, the 1st and 2nd Imperial Fleets began to fire Pinpoint MRBM's at the enemy, smiting air defense targets and enemy headquarters with deadly accuracy. On the decks of the carriers, AC-10 close combat planes, with heavy underside armour, took off and flew low towards the frontlines, opening fire on the enemy that had just been smashed with missile strikes. Heavy cannon fire and missiles streaked towards the enemy, and rocket pods sprayed enemy armour.

The two rotary attack forces appeared, and joined in the fight, attack helicopters blasting missiles at the enemy, before other helicopters dropped men and light vehicles on top of the enemy, surprising him with the rapid assualt.

Heavy tank forces accompanied by mechanised infantry blitzed their way into the action, punching holes in enemy armour with their heavy 145mm ETC cannons, while machineguns strafed the enemy.

This attack was designed to overwhelm the enemy, crushing his forces with maximum power. Over 2,000 Hevy tanks, and 4,000 IFV's were involved, and 400,000 men as well. The forces fighting towards PW forces made good progress (Only 1,000 caualties so far), finding the enemy was holding on to Drakkensburg with most of his forces. The larger attack on Drakkensburg was going slower, and over 4,000 men have died thus far.

In the midst of the fleet, 100 LCAC hovercraft began to move toward the shore, each carrying 2 Vy'thek Missile launcher systems, designed to fire the cheap, short range Killmor missile that was renowned for it's destructive capabilities when launched in huge barrages. The LCAC's arrived quickly, dispensing their cargo rapidly, and returning to the waiting fleet.

The Neuvo Ricans would burn for their atrocities...

The brief peace that had looked so promising to the troops on the ground fighting, was now over once more as the sky was blackened with aircraft and bombs and the horizon was stained by the smell of death and the picture of explosions and wreckage. As the Intelligence Forces revealed in more detail the extent of the enemy fortifications ahead of them, a new plan was formulated.

The bulk of the PW forces would push towards the IN forces, taking the town of Santiago in the process, whilst the smaller forces left behind would make smaller advances in conjuction with the allied Neuvo Rican soldiers.

So, it was decided and the guns and planes sounded out across the battlefield once more breaking up the ground and men ahead for over 4 torturous hours, before giving way to the creak of tanks and the crunch of marching footsoldiers.

The troops speared out across the landscape and into the unknown again as more reinforcements were shipped in from distant shores. With the end of the first day of resumed hostilities the PW troops were a further 2 miles closer to their target.

Commander: *drops as a bullet whistles overhead* “That one was close, so how is the battle going?”

Officer: “Enemy tanks are launching a huge attack on the south of the city, our reinforcements from Dalian in the west are nearby, they have bought armour, elite infantry and enough AA weapons to defend Sierra Argento itself”

Commander: what are their actions now?

Officer: They are building defenses, to deflect an enemy assault, unlikely as it may be there is still possibility of a lash out …

Commander: good

Officer: The barrage blew some of the minefields, several of the minefields are still there, the enemy intelligence missed a few… our AA guns are working. Enemies are in the suburbs; their advance is slow and bloody. The Jager units on the front are at home with street battles, the light enemy armour is proving no problem for their rocket launchers, heavier stuff is more of a problem, the main tactic is a rocket in the tracks, I am told, makes the tank immobile, a sitting duck…

Commander: The enemy ignored my threat, Kill all prisoners and civilians, none are to live…

Officer: Very well, I will fetch the Jagerkommando captain …

Commander: What of the force out of Nibelheim?

Officer: It marches northwards, in two (rl) days time it will meet with the Dalian army, from there a huge offensive will be launched.

Commander: How long can we stay here

Officer: That is irrelevant if the enemy enter the city they wont hold for long; not in the shadow of the Dalian garrison.

The main square of the barracks in Drakensburg…

500 of the 30000 due to be executed are lined up. Thirty elite JagerKommando AS90 teams stand ready waiting for the order. The captain raises his hand. Somewhere in the crowd prayers can be heard. The hand lowers. The previously silent square fills with screams and gunfire as the civilians are mown down, regardless of age, gender or class. Somewhere in the pile of bloodied bodies groans can be heard. Officers run to the heap, with drawn IMI Desert Eagle pistols, to finish off those who had survived. The process continues throughout the day, until all the civilians who had not been wise enough to run from the might of the Neuvo Rican army while they had the chance were killed. The bodies are buried in Mass graves, before the Jagerkommando units return to the front to help deflect the onslaught of the IN armour.

Meanwhile, in the east near Santiago…

Officer: Are you sure!? You mean… you are just going to let them join up!?

Commander: Yes you imbecile, the coast is no longer friendly … the navy has either mutinied, gone back to Kicevo, or decided to follow the traitor Q’ atana. Withdraw units, fall back to the north, leave a few randomly placed minefields here and there but fall back. We go back north to counter their next move.

*Neuvo Rica - Santiago Town*

The troops at the front of the PW led advance towards the Intelligent Neighbors beachhead were by now making good progress as their enemy, the rebel forces of Neuvo Rica, apparently collapsed around them. The leading units reported back to their commanders that limited resistance had been encountered as the armies of Field Marshal Rehmer make their flanks secure before lauching the assault on the city.

As the tanks rumbled through open fields with infantry riding on the chassis as cover, the order came through to halt the offensive 1 mile short of the outskirts of Santiago. Through secretly the elite SS men desperatly wanted to get amongst the commies they knew where hiding in the town, the move was welcomed by most.

The days wore on until the sun could be seen gleaming from the tallest buildings on Santiago's skyline where the troops stopped and dug in to prepare defensive fortifications in the event of a counter-attack. So the troops hunkered down to gain some much needed rest, but for the aircraft crews serving on the carrier fleet still anchored offshore, the night was just starting.

Supported by their colleagues in the artillery arm they had been stockpiling bombs and shells since the start of the assault. Now they were given the freedom to use as much ammo as they cared to soften up the enemy targets in the city. Gun after gun followed by so many aircraft pointed their muzzles at the city and let rip.

The more kindlier persons of the PW army prayed for the people inside Santiago for tonight they would learn the meaning on 'hell on earth'.

Although the Neuvo Ricans had withdrawn from Santiago, evacuating the civilian population in the process, a new plan was being drawn up…

Officer: Sir, the Defectors have been left behind with some PW forces while the others push for a link up.

Commander: Are they advancing?

Officer: Small advances are being made…

Commander: Good, here is the plan I have made … Our Jager units and Armoured Divisions advance quickly, there must be all round AA protection, and Self propelled artillery battalions in with them. The enemy’s main force has pushed to make a link up with IN forces, once they are two days away, we throw everything at them, a huge air bombardment first, followed by one of the largest artillery barrages this nation has known. We catch the enemies forces of balance the front here will crumple, under assault from 150000 of our best troops. Then we get to the coast, liberate veracruz, from where a naval landing will give 75000 marines to control. Once that has happened a battery of super heavy naval howitzers will be bought overland from Kicevo. With those guns in Veracruz with AA and Countermissile protection, enemy shipping this side of Santiago will want to run back out to sea, straight into the minefields.

Officer: But the enemy shipping off Veracruz?

Commander: I have contacted the admiralty, the 3rd, 8th,9th and 11th fleets have been merged into the eastern fleet, anchored in Kicevo. It is a massive force, if the PW fleet decides to engage, it will be overwhelmed. If any soldiers of the Ninth army are captured, send them to Sierra Argento. Kill all in our path.

Officer: We will lose international support, have you not heard about what the Northern army has done in Drakensburg? It killed thousands!

Commander: That would be a small price to pay for freedom. Wait until our spy plane reports show the enemy is far enough away before moving.

*Neuvo Rica - Santiago*

As suddenly as it had started the lightning bombardment stopped and the air was still at last. However, the dust and rubble wasn't even given a chance to settle before the first troops of the PW force stamped it down underfoot as they marched toward the centre of the town. The resistance was minimal as more ground was taken, restriced it seemed to only snipers and freedom fighters. For the first time in the campaign, the HQ listeners back in Veracruz were decoding messages of concern and misforgivings from the frontline troops, worried it seemed not about the conditions of war but by the lack of them as they advanced deeper into Neuvo Rica's interior.

"Everything. . . " One telegram read, the daily report from a lieutenant serving in the lines, ". . . is too quiet. Where are the armies we have been sent here to fight? Whatever Intelligence is saying, these Neuvo Ricans are up to something"

Messages like this were being decoded now on a regular basis as the PW/NR troops made steady advances, but still no word was heard from the High Command. So the 510,000 PW troops in Neuvo Rica ploughed on taking on average 4 miles of enemy territory per day. As the remainder of the town of Santiago was swallowed up, a telegram was issued to all front line commanders.

Rumours of secret Neuvo Rican preparations are to be discounted as propaganda. Advances will continue as originally discussed but plans for the construction of defensive fortifications behind our current positions will be discussed at the next possible opportunity. The two prongs of the PW assault into NR were now 25 miles apart, a dream target for an enemy counter-attack, but woefully down the list in the priorities of the PW Commanders.
So, the campaign continued, the war weary troops of the Fourth Reich trudged on blissfully unaware of what could be coming their way.

Losses: 81 soldiers, 1 tank.

Officer: Sir are we ready to launch the assault?

Commander: Yes, more marines are in Kicevo, 150000 shall now land when we secure the beach. All units advance.

Officer: I will relay that, if the enemy turns now there is a small chance they could destroy this attack though sir...

Commander:They could, I shall launch a distraction attack further east they will move in soldiers to defend santiago to counter it making it easier for us to advance to Veracruz. Let the Veracruz offensive begin.

Outside 150000 Soldiers advance into the Jungle, heading straight for Veracruz. In amongst the forces are watchful ZSU batteries, they had heard of what had happened in Drakensburg, the same mistake was not to happen again. The army knew the Vercruz defences well. Some of them had manned them only a few days previously. In the distance behind the advancing armies, heavy artillery and mortars begin to smash the Veracruz defences. The Jager units move quickly through the jungle. There is little resistance. Any attacks are soon silenced by the Merkava battle tanks and AS90 machineguns of the Jagers. The Army retakes a significant amount of land, at bayonet point. At the end of the day the suburbs of Veracruz are in sight.

Overhead, scores of TU - 160 aircraft begin to bomb Veracruz. Defended by Agile MIG 25 aircraft they fly back inland. At sea, the newly formed eastern fleet moves to veracruz and begins to pound seaward facing defences.

The armoured thrust was nearing the town of Santiago, smashing up the enemy's weak formations as it went. As the lead elements reached the edge of the town, a message was dispatched to PW commanders:

"Are at S. see you soon!"

The last of the NR resistance was quickly eliminated, and Pz-4 Jäger-Mörder tanks ploughed through the city suburbs. All of a sudden, soldiers came into view, stepping out into the street and blocking the road. The tanks stopped, and a man climbed out of the lead one. He stepped down to talk to the soldiers.

"Captain Red, Intelligent Neighbors Imperial Army, I assume you are the Psychopathic Warmonger army?"

"Yes"

"Then I greet you on behalf of our nation. I hope your casualties have not been too severe? We have excess supplies if you need them, and I suggest that elements of my army be transferred to help you defend the area. We must not take one step backwards!"

We have linked with PW forces, and we ask that you help prove your
allegiance to us by sending your fleet and any forces you have to help
PW's fleet and to reinforce his position. If you do this, you will be rewarded
with land when we have conquered NR.

*Neuvo Rica - Santiago Ruins*

The tall tank commander brought his modified Challenger IIIb tank to a halt in the broad streets of Santiago and climbed down, peering at the soldiers ahead and wondering why they hadn't fired yet. As he began thinking about the allies they were linking up with, his queries were answered by a officer striding towards them.

"Captain Red, Intelligent Neighbors Imperial Army, I assume you are the Psychopathic Warmonger army?"

The officer eyed the questioner suspiciously before realising and smiling broadly. "Yes"

"Then I greet you on behalf of our nation. I hope your casualties have not been too severe? We have excess supplies if you need them, and I suggest that elements of my army be transferred to help you defend the area. We must not take one step backwards!"

His joy was forthcoming and he stepped forward to warmly take the hand of his ally and friend.

"Major Reisemann, Psychopathic Warmonger Armed Forces at your services, I am pleased to accept your nations greeting and to offer my own nations's. As for casualities we have suffered much as the fighting has been particularly harsh in our sector, but I fear for many of our remaining soldiers as the enemy has yesterday launched a powerful counter-attack into our flank to recapture Veracruz and other cities. Your offer of help is much needed in defeating the Neuvo Rican thrust.
As an ambassador from our commander Field Marshal Rehmer, I must pass on his suggestion of defeating the enemy assault first before continuing the advance and hope that you will also share our view. But tell me first, how has it been for your men?"

*PW held city of Veracruz*

The rumours were now apparent as the city was pounded from the air and from the ground. The enemy forces that High Command had so confidently predicted were on their knees were now knocking on the gates of Veracruz, the principal port of in the PW held district and a vital link in the supplying of the campaign.

The troops inside would remain inside to defend their hard fought gains but the bombs and shells were taking their toll as the city was slowly dismantled by mortars and aircraft.

Of the impending infantry assault their was no sign yet so the troops sat tight and frantically telegrammed the High Command for re-inforcements to intercept the enemy troops before they entered the city.

*Approaches to Veracruz City*

The troops in this sector were caught unprepared as the first waves of Neuvo Rican Jagers and regulars swarmed like maddened bees into the hastily thrown up PW defences. Fierce hand-to-hand fighting broke out over the rich soil but the Neuvo Ricans, fighting for their livelihood(sp?), were unstoppable as they broke free and spilled out towards Veracruz.

A counter-attack had been most feared by the common PW soldier for a long time now, but were totally unequipped for a defensive battle as their High Command had swept the rumours under the proverbial carpet. As a result rushed tank battles and infantry stands were easily swatted down and pushed asunder by the rampant forces of Neuvo Rica.

The retreat threatened to turn into a rout for local commanders but as the night drew in and the battle pushed closer to Veracruz, the PW resistance stiffened and finally halted the NR advance briefly as their lines of supply and communication shortened. With the advantage of surprise lost, the PW troops would make sure that any more advances would be paid for in NR blood and soil. Meanwhile the PW Luftwaffe continued its unequal struggle against the flocks of NR aircraft threatening Veracruz.

Miles north of Santiago…

With the town of Santiago in ruins, and all those who stayed to defend it either dead or fleeing the Neuvo Rican eighth army limped back north to regroup. The 8th under command of Field Marshall Xanai, an experienced soldier from the far north of the country he planned his next move. He was safe, his base was deep in the dense jungle hinterland of southern Neuvo Rica. Once the enemy entered it, they would have a new problem to contend with, the militia. The main tactic of the militia was to launch sneak and surprise attacks on the occupiers, often disguising themselves as peasants, or hiding. Behind them the regular army was supplying ammunition, bombs and weapons.

Thousands had been lost in Santiago, despite the order to evacuate, many did not get out in time.


Near Veracruz…

Commander: This is going better than expected, perimeter defences have been crushed with great loss amongst the enemy with several from the ninth army being captured. The eye of the enemy will now turn to the fortress cities, they will be looking northwards to Sierra Argento now we must keep pushing forward. Send the Prisoners to Sierra Argento, there they shall wish they had never been born, let alone defected.

Officer: Yes sir…

Commander: And our Jager units have come up against a defensive line?

Officer: er, yes we sustained quite heavy losses there…

Commander: We must strike while the iron is hot… get the siege guns to make a gap in that line… move the regular infantry forward, use Jager units to cover them, get me helicopters over head.

Officer: Yes sir, Twenty Mi 24 helicopters are on their way…

Commander: good smash the enemy line. Step up the bombing of Veracruz. Get some of the Naval TU – 160 aircraft in there along with the TU 22s from the airbase here. Defend them NR 16 aircraft ( Upgraded MiG 25s).

Officer: Yes…

Commander: What is the strength of the eastern fleet?

Officer: It is coming closer to Veracruz, If all goes to plan, veracruz beach should be ours tomorrow. Its strength:

Outisde Veracruz…

The first wave of Jagers, is in high morale, the units are running through the jungle, used to chasing off resistance. The first line are violently mown down as they reach a line of solid defense they had not expected. Several waves deteriorate under heavy machine gun fire. Tanks move in, and a full scale battle ensues. The Neuvo Rican forces fall back 100 yards. Minutes later, many large thuds are heard in the distance as heavy artillery opens up a barrage on the defense. The Neuvo Rican troops look on, over farmland littered with the bodies of their comrades. Over head hundreds of Bombers fly towards Kicevo. One of the massive TU – 160 aircraft is bought down just infront of where the Neuvo Ricans.


At Sea…
The massive fleet moves silently towards veracruz. Missile Submarines surface and missile hatches groan open. On the ships missile tubes open. One Salvo sends hundreds of SS – N – 19 missiles towards the shipping off Veracruz. Above them a group of TU – 160s specially modified to carry huge AS 2 ‘Kangaroo’ missiles flies onwards.

If you could begin to counter attack as well, our plan will suceed"

~East of Veracruz~

The amoured column started it's engines and roared toward the enemy, smashing their weak lines with mortar and cannon fire. Planes roared overhead, Merlins and new heavy bombers from IN pounded the enemy. The thrust was followed by infantry, and the tanks quickly began to cut off the enemy. The tanks drove on through the day and night, killing all they came across.

Ultimatum to Neuvo Rican Government:

Capitulate to our forces and you will be granted immunity from imprisonment by our forces, if you do not capitulate, your regime shall be crushed, your citizens murdered, and you land occupied.

Once certain terms over the future of this nation have been agreed. Eitherway, if the government surrenders there are still hundreds of thousands of extreme left wing militia roaming the countryside. We must hold peace talks.

*Around Veracruz*

The weary battle-lines were re-inforced during the night by troops pulled back from the area around Santiago so that the Neuvo Rican advance was halted eventually after a day of chaos. The losses to PW were staggering and horrified many PW commanders informed the next day.

The IR help could not come soon enough and gratefully relieved pressure on the beleagured and besieged troops pressed against the fortress of Veracruz. Not in a position to attack yet, the PW troops stood fast around their comrades and prepared to throw the Neuvo Rican's back in disarray.

Meanwhile PW Intelligence services had picked up the telegrams exchanged between NR and IN and released the following as a reply.

To: Neuvo Rican leaders and Intelligent Neighbors leaders.

The Fourth Reich of Psychopathic Warmonger endorses the notion of peace talks to negotiate the surrender of NR forces. Any continuation of the war will only result in the continuous killing of our young soldiers in the field and the ultimate butchering of the Neuvo Rican civilian population along with the rape of the NR lands when the nation is conquered.

The Neuvo Rican representative, entered the hall. Despite the harsh, unwelcoming attitude of the other representatives, he made a salute and continued to his place. There were many matters to discuss and a treaty had to be drawn up.

The PW delegate led by the Chief Ambassador, Heinrich Spahr, swept into the hall and graciously recieved the salutes and welcomes of the Intelligent Neighbors delegate and offering his own.
Moving to his seat he shifted round to glance suspiciously at the Neuvo Rican delegate who was clearly uncomfortable under the severe eyes of his counterparts.

As the negotiations were to begin soon Spahr made himself comfortable before settling to take his part in producing the long awaited peace treaty.
