The government of Texarkania announced today that competing rallies on racial issues will be taking place in downton Dallas on Friday. Specifically, the N.A.A.C.P. (National Association for the Advancement of Caucasion Persons) will be holding a rally in the parking lot at the Town East Shopping Center while the K.K.K. (Kiss a Kolored Kousin) organization will be holding a rally in the West End area. Speaking from his home in Garland, Lord Wacko stated:
"We abhor the messages of intolerance, hatred and racial divisiness that are espoused by the National Association for the Advancement of Caucasion Persons (N.A.A.C.P.), but recognize their right to speak. We ask that our citizens understand that our nation is built on the belief that no matter how ignorant and uninformed their viewpoint may be, they have a god given right to express it. However, you, the people of Texarkania, also have a god given right to ignore this bigoted organization and its message of hatred. As to the Kiss a Kolored Kousin (K.K.K.), organization, their support of racial inclusion and espousement of the idea that all men, regardless of race, truly are created equal and deserve equal recognition is an inspiration to us all. We wish them well in their endeavors and urge all citizens of Texarkania to listen to their message of harmony, peace and unity. United we shall stand and divided we shall fall. I ask you, the people of Texarkania, to join me tommorow as we support the idea of unity and progression for our country in the West End with the K.K.K. and ignore the politics of ignorance and hate spewed forth as vile drivel by the N.A.A.C.P. at Town East.
Thank you."
City officials are estimating that as many as 20,000 people will attend the K.K.K. rally in the West End. However, it is doubtful, say sources, that the N.A.A.C.P. will be able to attract more than 2-3,000 at most. Over 1,000 additional officers have bee activated however to provide security in the area of both rallies. More reports will be released as information is received. We urge all our viewing audience in Texarkania to check in regularly for updates.
OOC: Ok, before you people who take everything waaaay to seriously start, this is meant as a fun RP involving role reversal ideas. Read it again if you don't believe me.
