Foxtrot News
Today, in downtown Parris Island, three thousand "animal rights activists" protested the treatment of animals in Crazed Marines' slaughter house. The protest turned violent when the Police arrived. The Police then decided to surround the group and send in ten riot teams to beat the stooge out of these protestors. Nobody was let out of the circle and the Police went until every protster was knocked out. All three thousand have been sent to hospitals for the mentally retarded to seek treatment. President Kowalski had this to say, "Well, the animals are gonna die anyways, so who really cares how they are treated when alive?"

"If you need to... remove them..."
Kaerek chuckles, something deeply insidious in his voice.
"... I would be happy to let them protest here. They'll be quite well... taken care of..."
(OOC: The statement he surpresses is that... He's Mekantan. Mekantan's eat Humans... like cattle.)
"They'll be quite happy to see we take good care of cattle and other non-sentient food items."

In a prepared statment, the Minister of TSW had the following to say on the subject:
Having heard the news of the beating and inprisonment of the animal rights protesters, i must offer my formal congratulations to the officer incharge of the police action, and the ministers who decided that the offenders were mentaly unstable, and in need of treatment.
In the outer colonies, we have no resourses spare to waste on animal welfare. we treat them as well as we are able, and do not harm those we do not need for food, but we do not go out of our way to treat them well. the vast majority of our foodstuffs are crop based due to the advantageous plantgrowth on our worlds, so animals are generally left to roam free, anyone attempting to protest that animals deserve more rights than they currently have, and indeed deserve is sentenced to community work for first time offences, and any organised rallies are met with force.
Once again we aplaude your actions, and look foward to seeing the results of your treatment program.

Yes, that is all we have to say at this time! While it is your perrogative to choose whether actually listen to the protesters or not, your treatment of the situation is likely to lead to further protests and possible terrorist action! Shocked, I say, and appalled!

There is a difference between "animal welfare" and "animal rights". Animal welfare is when you make certain that the animals in your care are treated properly and not being abused/neglected (and this is important, because people who harm animals without empathy for them are most likely to turn their aggression onto fellow humans later). Animal rights is when freaks like PETA believe that animals should have the same rights as humans, which is simply stupid.

The minister Silver would like to suggest that the typo was made by in intern working at the goverment offices, and who has since been sacked.
the goverment of TSW would like to apologise for any misinterpretation this has casued.

Official response to Slaytanicca
Are you insinuating that you would attack us if we keep this up? If so, I suggest that you look at our history of what has happened to terrorist groups, their leaders, and those who house them.
Official response to all
We thank you for your praises. We intend to be mean and cruel to those who go against saving human lives by making cheap and nutrtious food. These parasites must be shown the error of their ways.

Offical Reaction: Phalanix is shocked at the treatment of these protesters and the tactics used by the police.
Unoffical Reaction: Damn fine job. But next time use the protesters in military expiraments. Saves a crap load of cash to use them then all those computer tests.

The Arkonese Minister for Foreign affairs issued the following statement:
We must agree with Slaytanicca that the validity of the protester's arguement is irrelevant; a country that deals so sweepingly with it's people must remain vigilant if it is not to be overthrown from within.

The Honourable Nation of Crazed Marines,
We are certainly insinuating nothing of the kind. While we wish you wouldn't treat your fellow countrymen and our fellow sentient lifeforms in this way, we will not make it our business whether you choose to or not. We were merely warning you of possible negative outcomes, actions of a group who will replenish their number no matter how hard you try to stamp them out. You asked us to elaborate, and we did. Shocked. Wibble.
I'm terribly sorry if my wording was ambiguous, my message brief or my tone aggressive. I've been up thirty-eight hours, the military is on full alert and a bunch of Neo-Sephrions are atempting to blow up a nuclear reactor in South Slaytanicca. My mind is elsewhere. I meant no disrespect.
Sincerest apologies,
Jeff C Gorevomit, Slaytanicca

To the Nation of Slaytanicca
No offense is taken besides the fact that you took part in our affairs when your own needed much more attention. I strongly urge you to take a quick nap and have your generals think of the best course of action. I know all too well that bad command decisions are made when emotions and fatigue are involved. Good luck and God speed.

Mike Kowalski, President of Crazed Marines;
Many thanks for your understanding, and your kind advice. Hopefully our current crisis will be resolved quickly and without much further bloodshed, but these are indeed trying times for us.
With all due respect to you and your administration and it's evident competence, I hope you heed my advice. You are of course right that it is not my place, however, and certainly not my time.
Regards,

Message to Slaytanicca and Camel Eaters
We have no problems with protesting. However, we have a problem when idiots march on the Capital and turn violent. That is why excessive...uh...I mean necessary force was authorized.

Official: Siesatia is shocked and appalled at the use of such police tactics.
UnOfficial: Psst. Next time use APTs or Tanks, much more efficient in taking care of PETA scum.
OOC: I wish that would happen to a PETA protest... J/K.... But I do hate PETA with a vengance.
