Stirring of the dead (open, MT RP)

Something was going on atop the soil of one of the blackened Feazanthian islands. It had been more than half a century since the devastating attack on Feazanthia that destroyed nearly all of the once-great civilization.

But now...something was stirring. Somehow, in this blackened husk of land that should not have supported life...life thrived. In fact, it more than thrived, it expanded.

Something burst from the soil. The massive shovel of a tracked earth mover cut a path for the thing behind it. The thing behind it was a plane...a Feazanthian AF-X1B Comet. No...not just one, but a full wing of five of the advanced fighter jets sprung from the underground airfield. The EM field that had covered the archipelego lifted, revealing that where once stood only the burned out hulks of the dead cities, massive metropolises stood. AR-290 tanks rolled off the assembly lines, and a fleet of Feazanthia-class dreadnoughts - nearly equals to the once legendary Doujin-class - patrolled its waters.

Feazanthia had returned, and it was pissed.

The new Grand Commander, a young man by the name of Torroth Halcyon, stood atop the balcony of the Republic Capitol building. This building rivaled many imperial palaces in terms of grandeur. He was leaning on a black spear, tipped with a titanium blade that was laced with black diamond. Behind him, his Minister of Communication stood. A mousy man, the Minister had been instructed to contact the old alliances.
"Mr. Commander..."
"What news from the outside?" said Halcyon in his silky, level, yet quite dark voice.
"Our scout patrols report the majority of the Rodinan isles have been destroyed by some unknown means. Most likely illness, sir."
"And SAND?" He referred to the Snowy Antarctic Negotiation for Defense, the alliance that had stood against Doujin and its navy.
"No reports, sir. Many of us at Communications fear the worst."
"So we are alone, Minister."
"It would seem so, Commander."
Halcyon sighed. He had feared this. Feazanthia had grown strong under the visionary leadership of its hero and previous Grand Commander, Feaz Christianson Macleod. However, Macleod had been killed in the brutal carpet-nuking during Doujin's invasion. It had been Halcyon that had led the survivors to the surface of their once-great nation from the underground shelters. It had been Halcyon that had bent most of the nation's resources to rebuilding the Grand Fleets and the army. People had suffered, yes, but it had been necessary. Without the Fleet, nothing would keep their enemies from attacking again. He had been fortunate that the military database had survived, and the plans for the Feazanthia-class dreadnought along with it. Three of the massive ships had already been put to sea, and six more were nearing completion. Even more Leningrad battlecruisers and Biggles AEGIS frigates were setting out daily.
"What about Rodina?"
"No survivors, Commander, but our people say they can salvage most everything from our ally. Most importantly, many of the military research projects we were forced to abandon during the war were completed by our red friends, and we have retrieved them."
"Excellent. And my people?"
"Resources are being re-allocated to health and human services, Commander. Still, though, we have several epidemics in the south."
"Very well. Begin quarentine of those affected, and find a cure. When we set sail, I want our nation ready."
"Set sail, sir?"
"Yes, Minister. I itch for revenge, and I must scratch that itch."

"Jesus! James, look at this" Gaius beckoned to James, pointing at the multiple readings from the former SLOA. "The entire nation has appeared!"

A trio of AR-290 "Penetrator" tanks rumbled across the desolate ice deserts of the antarctic, followed by one of the massive AR-130 "Sabretooth" tanks. There were troops atop these deadly armored vehicles, each one carrying a AK-249 assault rifle. The turrets on the Penetrators swiveled, their deadly vulcan guns sweeping the ruins that had once been SLOA.
"Damn," whispered the lieutennant.

Near the southern coast of Africa, a pair of Leningrad battlecruisers came into view. The sophisticated radar suites on the massive ships scanned what had once been an extensive area of Dancing Moose diamond mines.
"Captain! We have finished our scan of the area!"
"And?"
"Nothing, sir. No movement at all."
"Alright. Order the landing teams to disembark. I want those mines."
"Aye, captain. Landing teams away."

Halcyon, three days later, sat meditating in his private chamber. Though not as religious as his predicesor Macleod, Halcyon used his meditations to hone his skills. He believed in the old ways of combat, and that war should be honorable. Still...there were things to be said of carpet bombing...
"Commander, sir, we're recieving reports from our scouts."
The young man opened his piercing ice-blue eyes, but did not look at the mousy communications minister.
"What is it, Gerrard?"
"It appears the entire Alliance has fallen, sir. However, this may be to our benefit. We've secured significant holdings of oil across the antarctic tundra, and the Moosian diamond mines of southern Africa are now ours. Sir, if we can increase our food output, we will not only be completely self-sufficient, we will have surplus."
"Until we go to war."
"Yes. Until we-" the minister broke off. "Sir?"
Halcyon rose. "We know not the political structure of this world. Our contacts with the outside have been minimal since the Attack. We must find out. We must secure our place."
"But..sir! War?"
"I hope it does not come to that, but Macleod had many enemies. We do not know if Earth is ready for the news of our survival."
"But...yes, Commander. I agree. We should be ready for anything. You have led us out of the caverns and safehouses and back into the sun. Your people will follow you to whatever end." With that, the Communications minister left Halcyon to his troubled thoughts.

"...to whatever end."

Three heavy carriers and a pair of battleships left the northern port of Xylion. All three carriers were part of the aging Nimitz-class, as Feazanthia had lost its carrier designs in the war. One of the battleships was a Kikoskriat Aasimar-class, and one was a massive Stalin-class. Though not as powerful as the Feazanthia- or Daedalus-class dreadnoughts, these two battleships were a throwback to the age of incredibly powerful and expensive warships. They made for the Middle East, with nearly a dozen Starlifter planes prepping for launch on the Feazanthian airstrips. Obviously, they meant to take the oil fields of the desert.

"Sir, there reports of an entire nation appearing!"

"Hmm, really?"

"Yes sir, and the KNS Celestial has verified, these reports. There appear to be a huge number of military movements."

"Any engagements?"

"Not that we know of sir."

"Okay, we shall send them a message."

The Tsar of Khwarezmia has recently heard of the reappearance of your nation.
The Tsar wishes to forge international relations with Feazanthia, so that we may make our way in this world.

"According to satellite imaging... which we gain from the low-key surveilance satellites we have discerned that a rapid change to the west of us is occuring, seems someone is on the move and securing resources rapidly... I fear we may be targetted soon at the rate they are going..."

The raven haired business-suited woman rambled... namely Setsuna Saizuki, advisor to Salvos the 106th and the recipient of the rant was none other than the Emperor Salvos himself, he sighed and looked somewhat bored but internally he was smiling with glee.

"Setsuna, do we know who they are?"

Setsuna cut her rant short and filed through the clipboard she had with all her notes on.

"We have determined that it is Feazanthia, strangely though this nation was bombarded and supposedly ceased to exist before our time your highness."

Salvos grinned, it creeped Setsuna out.

"Ahhhh!!!! I see, Setsuna! Here are the orders: Make contact with this nation."

Setsuna shrugged, should of expected it really.

"Your highness, what if this nation is hostile towards us?"

Salvos smirked

"We might not have nuclear capability... yet but we have plenty of willing soldiers and the LUMIERE project."

Setsuna blanched, only she and Salvos where privvy to the LUMIERE project details... and the results while successful where HARDLY ethical by any means.

"Your highness... the LUMIERE project is still in the testing phase..."

Salvos glared at her

"I care not, if they are hostile I will have every single weapon and soldier on the battlefield making no exceptions!"

Setsuna knew she couldnt win, she'd have to do as he asked.

"Forgive my impertenence your Highness, I shall have these orders done within the day."

Salvos grinned.

"Best do, for your sake Saizuki."

Setsuna ran to get the orders processed and done like her life depended on it, mostly because thats the way it was.

OOC:
The LUMIERE project is the ideal of a Super Soldier to the TGK, Enhancements to the body are considered worthless and somewhat unreliable anyway so the teams opted to create the perfect weapon through mind control drugs and force feeding military and tactical data to children for 17 years

In total there is 1 full squad of these units, they often used in critical strike operations such as sabotage and assasination since they too few to expend on a meaningless battle.

Hope no one minds me getting involved now.... :P

Gerrard, the Communications Minister, sat back in his overstuffed chair as not one, but two formal communiques within a few days. What's more, Khwarezmia had elected to establish relations with Feazanthia in order to gain prominence in the world. With word and clearance from the Grand Commander, Gerrard began drafting a universal response for both Khwarezmia and Kazham.

To: The Governments of Khwarezmia and Kazham
From: Feazanthia, Communications Ministry, Foreign Relations Office
Greetings to you and your people. We, the Republic of Feazanthia, are pleased to know that there still are honorable nations in the world. You are the first nation we have made contact with since the Reemergence, and we welcome you.
Please understand if future communications are delayed, as many of our resources are stretched as we race to reestablish our hold on raw materials.
Thank you.

"Ma'am?"

Tre glanced up at the messenger and wordlessly took the manila folder from his hand. She nodded curtly and waited for the man to leave.

As he shut the door behind him, Tre slid the papers out of the folder and casually glanced Through them. So, Feaz has returned? Not a problem, it doesn't change anything, she reminded herself as more important information displayed itself on her computer screen. Still...

She picked up her phone and dialed in a secure number. The secure transmission waited, and "Hello?"

"I'm going to need a detatchment addressing the Feaz occurence. I don't need any changes just because they've accomplished a miracle."

"Priority assignment?"

Tre paused. "13-Blue."

"Right away, ma'am."

And Tre hung up.
