Two hours ago the following was forwarded to the UN Secratary-General by the Nation of the Firstborne's UN delegate, Lauren Pattersen.

"In protest of the weakness inherent in the new Genocide Resolution, the Nation of the Firstborne has hereby and hencewith withdrawn from the UN, and barred UN attaches from its country. All UN representatives in the country have been ejected, and the ARF has increased its military spending in anticipation of potential UN sanctions."

The Nation of the Firstborne, a relatively small country located in the Vallian Plains had oppossed yesterdays vote, but its concerns were summarily dismissed. The ARF's President, General Sean Decker held a press conference shortly thereafter.

"Genocide is not an action which can be debated over, or prosecuted, it is one that requires swift and decisive action, the UN Resolution specifically bars action against those who would massacre their own people and outsiders. We will not allow our hands to be tied in this fashion."

Immediately after the press conference, President Decker met with his cabinet and immediately instituted the war powers act, calling up reserve soldiers and emergency spending.

OOC: Howdy, welcome. The United Nations forum (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=1225) would probably be the best place for you to put this. You'll certainly get a better response (if any) from the UN forum than here.

Roleplayed reactions to UN actions belong in one of the two RP forums, especially when related to war. The UN forum is only semi-RP, and that only for the business of debating UN business ... which this isn't, since they resigned.

There have been some decent UN-based RPs here in the past. Can't guarantee that anyone here wants to join in, but I'm pretty certain that nobody in the UN wants RP war in those chambers either.
