"After a mutually beneficial research pact and a gratefully received gift of the use of one of their special ops divisions, the nation of Neo Sephrioth has made a declaration of war against us. Elements of the first and second regiments have been called on to contain the Titan division should they decide to act for their home nation, as we fear. Port security and military presence has been increased due to this threat, and coastal patrols have been tripled.

"The fleet bound for SouthEast USA has been diverted to Neo Sephrioth.

"A threat of nuclear assault has been made. We are fully confident our Hellbolt ABM coverage is more than adequate, but ask Slaytaniccans to keep out of large cities as much as possible for the time, so evacuation plans are not impeded by unprecidented crowding.

"We can't imagine why the nation of Neo Sephrioth has made this declaration. We have given them no cause, and received no reason. All agreements made with the nation have been put on hold, and all trade has ceased as of today. We hope the issue is resolved soon, and does not tarnish relations between our two nations.

"A press conference will be held tonight at ten. Thanks."

Gorevomit sits down, the shot fades and normal programming continues.

Dude I'm not going to argue whether Sephrioth is glass or not, but I'm not going to fight four thousand super star destroyers. I think that's fair.

the titan gaurd in slaytanica strike qucikly and set up a bomb on the nuclar power staion near by.

the first strike fleet of 2 destroyers 12 subs 2 aircraft cairriers and 10 dreadnoughts leave thier ports for slaytanicca.

"Jess, there's a security breach. Fence 43"

The woman choked on her coffee, spraying half her mouthful out of her nose. Security had been on high alert since the Titans had been reported mobile. The last thing Slaytanicca wanted was a Chernobyl.

"What is it?" She inquired nervously, wiping her face. "A deer or.."

"Yeah, we're pretty sure it's them. Fence is cut."

"Shit. Get the reactors shut down. Then evacuate all but fifty people. I'll call the Feds."


By "Feds" she meant the Slaytaniccan military. Two companies were currently looking for the Titans, who after their disappearence from the camp had not ben picked up on satellite. One hundred men would be sent to the powerplant, as well as emergency services.

The Slaytaniccan fleet sent to SEUSA has been diverted to Neo Sephrioth. Our satellites have picked up this mobilisation, and we've sent diverted most of our fleet to intercept.

the titan gaurd are equip with steath suits and rocket launcher .

the neo sephrioth aircraft cairiers launch 20 black hawk chopers load with more of the titan gaurd.

Ten MiG-29s modified for naval use were launched from the Ulyanovsk-class carrier "End Complete" to intercept the threat, as the rest of the fleet prepared to engage the Sephrion ships..

"Yeah. Funny we were the only muppets they could get to do this shit."

The squad was restless, pissed off and scared. Fighting Sephrion elites in a nuke was pretty much their idea of hell. They cursed and grumbled as they swept for bombs with sniffers and various other devices.

"Greg?"

The corporal's radio crackled into life.

"Yeah? What the fuck is it this.."

"Hey man, we just saw something on the camera. Bathroom, stairwell 3, 4th floor.."



OOC: Up to you wherther they find a bomb, or titans, or nothing man. Bearing in mind the nuke has been on high alert for a while and is pretty well pinned down, plus my guys are dickheads but well-trained and equipped..

OOC: well, this is new to me, someone who can RP is going to war against Seph, good on you, maybe he will learn his lesson (i hope so).

If you need any help then just ask, i have lots of new anti-terrorist troops that i decided my nation should have. They are very good at stopping special forces behind your lines, as are my other elites.

You thought about sending dogs in to stop seph? Or gassing them out. A gas that is invisible so they dont know its coming ;)

OOC: Ta VP! Yeah, I thought of using dogs but my military likes flashing it's fancy kit about. And the gas'll have to wait until the workers are out (once the reactor's shut down). But they're cool ideas man, I'm sure I'll use them!

Thanks for the offer of help man, if they escape I may have to take it, since my guys don't really have much experience of this. Plus I'm, like, getting invaded too :)

the titans enter the controll room and shoot at the operations team patreson get that semtex bomb set up ill prime the core.

The corporal's radio came to life again.

"For fuck's sa.."

"Greg, they've.. shut the fuck up, would you? Greg, we need your squad to proceed down the corridor and take up position covering the control room door. They've taken the control room."

"No shit!"

"Yeah, they're up to something too.. seem to have planted a bomb. Listen, we need them alive and preferably conscious, ok?"

"Fuck that, dude!"

Greg heard the Ops guy chuckling softly down the line.

"Yeah, man. Try not to fuck 'em up too much then, please?"

Greg switched his radio off, and spat at the ground. "Christ what a fag.."

"Right lads, we're in a fucking heap of shit. They've taken the fucking control room. I reckon as soon as that fucking door opens we chew the fuck out of them with the streetsweepers. Get a couple of frags in there too. Des, get your IRs on man so you can see who you're picking off. Don't you remember that brief about their suits?"

"Oh aye.." muttered Des, idly checking the clip of his Abacinator long-range rifle.


Meanwhile, somewhere in the Atlantic, the MiGs were almost on the Black Hawks. Two groups of three split off to engage. Back on board the "End Complete" the Sephrion ships were estimated minutes away from radar. The fleet slowed down, and destroyers took position around the carrier, which had started launching more fighters..



OOC: Thanks for the heads-up on thermal goggles Sephrioth! To be fair I'm imagining we'd have known that anyway, as there's plenty of IR detectors used in the complex. Is that ok?

The lead MiG squad had come in range of the Black Hawks, and launched an AA-8 from four miles. The smoketrail arced through the sky, streaking towards the tail Black Hawk.. Three more planes had gone wide, and were approaching the choppers from the right. The remaining four fighters were moving to cut them from the power station.

Ten troopers surged out of the black concrete structure to see a helicopter, men streaming out on lines. They opened fire with 7.62 armour piercing rounds. One trooper took aim with his 0.50 at the figure inside the cockpit glass, another ran inside to get the AA..

"Change of plan" Greg muttered as he switched off his radio. "They've set a charge. No grenades."

The squad rolled their eyes, and turned them back to the door. Now, they had no choice but to wait.

The Administration of the Nation of Neo Sephrioth,

We have no idea why you made a declaration of war against us, but given this declaration we have no choice but to blame you for the actions of your Titan Guard division. We feel we must advise you to pull out and abandon whatever plan you have for the power station, as any damages, cleanup costs and any and all other losses directly or indirectly caused by this act will eventually be payed for by your people, not ours. And any harm caused to any Slaytaniccan due to deliberate sabotage of this facility will be considered a nuclear assault on our nation.

We would want to discuss terms for peace with you, but as you have given us no reason for your attack and declaration we feel we have nothing to say.

"Jesus, fuck.."

The Slaytaniccans scattered from a barrage of rockets loosed by the Neo Sephrions. A slab of concrete shattered from the wall smashed one soldier's head apart, another trooper had their arm ripped off by a blast. One man fell clutching his throat where it had been gashed by a large chunk of shrapnel. The rest of the squad, mostly escaping with minor cuts and burns, fled into the building, and around the side of the small structure facing it. A woman called for backup on her radio, and the trooper with the 0.50 rifle darted his eyes, searching for a sniping position. The soldier returning with the SAM backed off from the carnage, waiting inside the building for a safer moment to run.

Casualties (outside power station): Three dead, one seriously wounded.


The MiGs had caught up with the choppers now, and began engaging the Black Hawks singley with AA-8s, whilst strafing the Titans with their 30mm guns.

The End Complete Ulyanovsk and it's retinue had been ordered not to engage the Sephrion fleet until ordered. They readied planes and armaments, and drew the other ships around them.

Back inside the power station the squad outside the control room was getting restless. Still, they had no desire to engage the Titans in the control room with their bomb. They were happy to wait in the ambush they'd prepared. Quiet footsteps echoed through the halls. It looked like their backup had fianlly arrived.

Meanwhile, a further four hundred troops were arriving at the station in their trucks...

the 12 subs fire 6 torpedos apeice at the slatanican aircraft cairrier.

The seventy-two torpedoes were picked up easily from 5km away, and the "End Complete" immediately began launching countermeasures, MiGs, and SS-N 19 Shipwrecks at the two Neo-Sephrion carriers and their groups.The majority of the torpedoes were hampered by the accoustic decoys, and many detonated harmlessly against them, sending huge gouts of foam into the air and slamming waves against the hulls of the ships. By the time the first of over two dozen torpedoes slammed into the side of the End Complete, five MiGs and ten Shipwrecks were speeding toward the Neo-Sephrion Carriers.

A further two squadrons of MiGs had been scrambled from bases in South Slaytanicca, and were currently on their way to the naval battle along with four Scud missiles which had been standing by.

Holed in dozens of places under the waterline, the End Complete's hull began to fill with seawater. A number of MiGs attempted takeoff, but most of the crew and airwing were begining evacuation of the doomed vessel.

The five MiGs which had already successfully taken off fired their ASMs at the carriers, targetting control towers and AA emplacements specifically. They then attempted to strafe the F16s which the Sephrions were launching. The Shipwrecks fired from the sinking carrier were seconds away from impact, and the remaining boats began firing more SS-N 19 missiles at the Neo-Sephrion fleet.

OOC: Seph, next time Use F-18s or F-14s, they are proper carrier aircraft...

i shall post as VP as soon as possible(that may be like tommorow).

Slaytanicca, if i were you i would get your ASW planes and helos up to take out the subs, but beware of any SAMs and AA guns, you may want to attack with a fighter guard. Another option(if you havent already started) would be to send a small invasion fleet to attack Neo sephrioth as most of his ships etc must be attacking your nation and probably several others.

Seph, if i were you i would try to come to peace arrangement, lol.

OOC: Thanks man, I would but I want to give him room to move. I can't think he has many more than two carriers anyway, and we're certainly considering an invasion to get this over.

The subs.. argh to be honest I was hoping Seph had forgotten them :) Thanks for the tip though, I'll target them as soon as I've made sure Seph can't launch any more planes (if I can even do that).. I think they've only got another two torpedos apiece anyway, or possibly none. But I guess I shouldn't assume. Would I even know IC how many subs he has?

About the planes.. should I be using Yak VTOLS and SU-27s? I said modified MiGs to reflect the limited range of production aircraft in Slaytanicca, with it's emphasis on R&D and missiles, and I think I was consistent in that I launched only a few planes. But if that's not ok I'll change it.

Anyway, thanks man, and to everyone else who's commented on the thread. Hopefully I can learn a lot from this, as can Sephrioth. Thanks again!

OOC: What type of MIGs are they(If naval 29s thats fine)? You could use Yak-41s also, they are i think the best ex-soviet era VTOLS, although the Su-27s may also be good(for russia)

My advice to you would be to upgrade your airforce next time you take a look at your military forces. if you want info on them either ask here or TG Vast Principles, then i can find some links to good aircraft(there are a wide range)
Russian Planes dont really do as well as western counterparts, The soviets got the advntage now and then but then the west just came up with something better to combat it.

With the not so many planes thing, feel free to get VP to send some planes out on a light carrier, just ask if you need that support(I am an air person, Air is more important than sea and land i would say). Also, there is no need not to have so many planes going off, depending on your fleet, a super carrier can have a lot of Fighters. The russian Admiral Kuznetsov class carried(or would have) 50 fixed wing aircraft and 20 Helicopters.

Im afraid im no expert on Russian weapons, im better at US aircraft though.

OOC: Yeah man, they're 29s. I agree with you OOC, but since I find land wars more fun and know absolutely nothing about aircraft Slaytanicca has a pretty weak airforce at the moment. Of course, this will probably change.

the 20 f 16's fire 10 excort ant ship missiles each.

The doppler radar on the ships pick up the Exocets, and decoys are lauched rapidly to confuse and hopefully destroy the bulk of the missiles, as well as targetting the missiles with 20mm cannons.


OOC: Sorry about all this OOC man. The Exocet is pretty heavy, even the air-launched version. Are you sure you've got ten per aircraft?
In retrospec, ten Shipwrecks is probably rather a lot to lauch from even a carrier while it's trying to launch torpedo decoys and aircraft. I'll happily reduce the number if you want.
