The Sigil of the Tandu appears on the screen, followed by some static and then the appearance of an oddish Insectoid face, complete with bulging compound eyes and mandibles.
It begins to speak, first in a series of harash clicking noises, apparently to something off camera, then the noise alters into a high pitched and squeaky (but well pronounced) English.
Greetings to the mammals of Galaxy Two, we are the Tandu.
While we would not normally dain to speak, much less hold any sort of talks, with you it seems that there is little alternative. Our Empire has suffered much, the destruction of our worlds and the stranding of our species on Tandu with little of our technology.
As it is we have begun attempting to contact any nations willing to trade, our economy is badly crippled by a lack of any external support.
We would welcome any traders or diplomats from off world, the coordinates to our only trade colony are included here. It should be known that attacks on this colony will be dealt with most harshly.
