Emperor Erik Kersk passed into a law an addition to earlier religion laws, revoking all funding that churches recieve from the empire. Churches are also no longer considered tax exempt if they have over 200 members. All churches are now expected to pull their own weight when it comes to paying taxes and paying their own bills.

All independent social programs which arent associated with any religious group, will continue to recieve the funding they have have in the past.

Full wording of the new amendment to the ITD constitution:

4th Amendment - Religious Laws

A. The right of a citizen to adhere to a religion of his or her own choice is reinstated.

B. The Empire may not enforce any religion and may not support one religion over another.

C. All churches and religious institutions will, from this day forth, receive no imperial funding of any sort.

D. All churches and religious institutions with a membership of over 200 are hereby no longer tax exempt, and will pay the standard imperial tax.

E. All non-religious organizations which provide public services, will continue to receive government funds.
