OOC: It's supposed to say Croatia......however, I got my geography confused.


The Great Khan of Upper Xen, Xonxt Goht, said to the Council of Selects in
his palace in Budapest/Xonxtopolis: "My men, I have spoken. I have recieved a vision from the Great Nihilanth, and the Vortessence has spoken. The land of Croatia, to our South is rich in lands, peoples, and food. However, it is plagued with barbarians, and it must be brought under the civilizing influence of the Empire. Send for General Skozny."

The General, a tall, imposing man wearing chain mail went, "My leige, what do you request?"

Xonxt responded, "The Lord has spoken, and so has the Vortesscent One. We are to conquer Croatia, and to show it the light of Civilization."

Skozny smiled, "Excellent......more plunder, and a chance to show my men that I still have it in me."

"Glad to hear it....now go, amass your army!" said Xonxt.

Meanwhile, this proclamaition was sent to the farthest reaches:

The Great Khan of Upper Xen, Xonxt Ghot, has announced that the northeastern reaches of the land known as "Croatia" will become the host of a Xenizen mission to bring it civilization. Led by the famous warrior Doka Skozny, we pray to the Great Lord Nihilanth that this civilizing mission will succeed.

Forces deployed to Northeast Croatia:

General Doka Skozny

1st Legion of Horse:

2,500 Hunnic Light Cavalry
2,500 Heavy Cavalry

2nd Legion of Infantry:

1,000 Gothic Skirmishers
2,000 Swordsmen

As he marched to war, Doka Skozny saluted the Khan. He yelled "My Emperor....I will not fail! Northeastern Croatia will become part of the Great Xenizen Empire."

The Khan saluted back.

The main city, a city known to the locals as Zagreb, was in flames. They had resisted, but Skozny's men had shown them that the mision of the Empire was not to be resisted. The Huns had done their work well, slaying and outrfoxing the slower moving infantry of the Croats.

The old tribal standard was burned, and a new standard rose over Zagreb.

It was the Xenizen Flag.....and now, Coratia, or rather its northeast reaches, were theirs.
