Newsreport from CTV, 2 months ago:

At 8 o'clock today, Cottish forces entered to San Marino, restoring peace and order in the former Roman colony. The colony, that gained independence from Rome 20 years ago, have been ravaged by civil war and anarchy for the past few months. Cottish officials report that the forces will restore order, and give the power back to the people, unless they wish to be part of Cotland.

CTV news bulletin, present day

The people of San Marino has decided to join Cotland, 97% in favour, 3% against. Elected Leader Thomas Rothsky says he is "very happy for the decition of the San Marinians", and promise full autonomy, just like all Cottish colonies. The Governor of San Marino is to be elected soon.

In a press conferance today, the Cottish government told the world that they are going to take San Marino as a protectorate, meaning that they are going to have the power in San Marino, but there will be autonomy for the San Marinians. Official Celtayoshi Press Release

"We detect a substancial amount of foul play in the recent San Marino elections. Celtayoshi is actively seeking the truth on the matter and requests that the Cotland government give its word on the matter. Sources have indicated intimidation at some polling stations. If this is the case then Celtayoshi will be forced to intervene and remove the Cotland invaders."

OOC: Can you tell me if the elections were rigged (OOC of course), if the weren't then pretend this is information given to us by rebels looking to get rid of you.

The government of Baltic Karelia recognizes that San Marino now belongs to Cotland – just what the inhabitants wanted and voted for.

We wish Cotland luck with restoring civil order in the small country.

Elected Leader Rothsky's chief of staff, Jack Hamza at press conferance
"No, the elections were not rigged. However, since Cottish forces in the nation are not many (4000 men), soldiers could not be at every location and survey the election. It is possible that locals loyal to the warlords have attempted to fix the election. However, 92% of the population (over 18 years, of course) showed up and voted. Cottish military police is currently investigating the reports, and expect to finish the investigation within next week."

OOC: I've been playing with the idea that some San Marinians dislike the restoration of order so much that they start doing some good old fashioned terrorism.

Statement from Elected Leader Thomas Rothsky:

"Cotland appreciates the voices of support from RomeW and Pergast, and invite both nations to open embassies and consulates in Cotland. The complements regarding the 15th Infantry Brigade's actions has been sent to the Ministry of Defence, where the generals are fighting with their bare hands for the paper on which the praise stands. 'Operation: Marina Peace' has been a great success, and the first sign that Cottish forces are well equipped for combat and peacekeeping operations."
