Blacktower

200 years ago, There was a violent revolution in Blacktower. In the city of Rome, the people went on a rampage, burning their own homes in protest. Over 10,000 people stormed the Emperers palace, overthrowing the guards and even the Praetorian Guard that had kept the city safe for so many years. They seized the Emperer and had him publicly Be-headed for supposed crimes against the people. The Royal Familiy was hunted down and befell to the same fate, all except for the youngest son Julius Perinious, who was 15 years of age at the time. He only escaped his fate due to his quick thinking Father who hid him within the palaces many Secret passageways and rooms. Even after the Castle was ransacked, many of the passeges were discovered and the family was slaughtered. Julius was the only to remain undiscovered.

These were hard times for the Blacktoweran people. Food was scarce, and the military was a tool used by the Emperer to gain influence over the country side. The Empire was much smaller then, consisting of only the southern portion of the italian peninsula, but its people were starving and mistreated by the oppresive Leader. For days The City of Rome was held by peasents and militia until finally a full Legion was able to make its way back to the City and engage the rioters. After a day of bloodshed, the Army had regained control of the Capital and the Royal Palace. It was not until he seen friendly Forces within the Castle that Julius revealed his hiding place. To his shock he was seized by the Army and hidden away. the Next day he and 15,000 Loyal citizens were deported from Blacktower and sent to the farthest reaches of the east, never to be allowed their return. Julius vowed that oneday he would return to overthrow the Blacktoweran Throne that was so forcefully taken from his family. He never learned of the outcome of the treachery. As far as he knew, the Military took control and set their general upon the throne.

Little did Julius know that this was not the case. Indeed the General was put upon the throne, but he sat for only one week until he was assasinated by a member of his Council. The people had enough. They did not want another Emperer upon the throne who would bring them hardship and cruelty, they wanted to be represented. And thus the People Senate was formed. The new Emperer would still have final control over the Empire, but the Senate had the ability to pass laws with his approval, providing a buffer for possible negative actions against the people. the Senate was elected from the population once every 4 years, and the Emperer served for life, as the title was Hereditary (passed down through family, not elected).

The cold air howled across the flat baron landscape. Julius was only sheltered from the harsh winds by the thick hide shelter that was his home. The small fire kept him and his three wives warm as they made love beside the flame, while a large hunk of pork simmered on a spit over the fire. The mouth watering scent was almost as pleasing as the womens company. Fresh meat was a precious comodity in this barron landscape, especially pork which was relativley rare.

It had been almost 200 years since his Great Grandfather Julius Perinious had been exiled from Blacktower as a 15 year old child along with 15,000 loyal ex-citizens of Rome. They had marched for what seem like years through the barren lands of the Northeast until they came to this land they settled now. After setting up a small moving community and taming many of the wild horse herds that openly roamed the land, they were able to assert their dominance over several other close by Clans that were native to the lands. Decades and centuries passed, and now the Julius Stormborn was the Cheiftan of his clan. Julius Perinious had named them the Blood Fist Clan, after he defeated one of the more powerful Horselords in the area. The story goes that after ridding himself of bow and quiver, Julius ran down the Larger Man and pulled him from his horse in battle. Upon bringing him to the ground he began smashing his face with bare fists until it seemed the entire Battle ceased and watched his brutality. When he arose his enemy was dead and his arms were soaked to the elbow in the Thick red blood of victory. From that day on the Blood Fist were the dominant Clan in the region.

Today they were a proud Nomadic Horse people, their entire civilization was constantly on the move. They lived in small shelters made of Hide and wood which could be quickly brought down and packed up should the Clan be on the move again. They were a tough skinned people, feeling little discomfort to the harsh cold of their lands. They did not beleive in agriculture as a major means of food, instead they kept large herds of sheep and goats. They were a very proud people, everyone trained in the art of war from birth, although only the able bodied men were allowed to go to war. They were tough and cold shouldered to foreigners. The Origional 15,000 Blacktowerans had long since passed on, but their childrens children lived on, all the while inter breeding with the local population, giving them distinct appearane difference from those who still live in the Blacktoweran Empire.

[The Entire Blood Fist Clan population is approximatley 350,000 of full blooded members, but including their Territorial control, their population is estimated at around 1 million people (the rest of these people are not BLood Fist members. They are members of lesser Tribes that all live under the rule of the Blood Fist). Julius Stormborn is the direct decendant of Julius Perinious, and is Supreme Cheiftan of the Blood Fist clan and their sub-tribes.]

[OOC: Basially this is showing my claim over parts of mongolia. The Blood Fist Clan, however is not offiliated with The Blacktoweran Empire directly, in fact is opposed to it. It is in fact, the Goal of Julius Stormborn to overthrow the Blacktoweran Empire in vengence.]
