In line with the sweeping reform being enacted by newly elected Consul Fariz, General Garrison of the Military Command Staff revealed to the public a program designed to expand and modernize Eredron's national ballistic missile program, creating a more comprehensive defensive network.
Bastion II, using a more extensive collection of extraterrestial satellites, will shift greater emphasis from Eredron itself, to it's principalities and military bases, with nearly six dozen missile silos being constructed in classified location in Eredron's African holdings, as well as another three dozen in the pacific island of Naori.
Bastion II will also utilize an improved version of the EDI Stryker II Intercontinntal Ballistic Missile. The new missile, designated the Stryker Mark III, will boast an improved range of 6,600 miles and carry 12 EDI-24 Re-Entry Vehicles.
General Garrison described the program as a "purely defensive action" that would have no effect on "regional or international relations".
