The Great Leader Li swore luridly as the images on the television screen played past him. The Capitalists were holding a protest and it was about to get violent, fast. MassPwnage, lacking a police force (crime is totally unknown in the People's Republic of MassPwnage, the last crime, a pickpocketing, occured 1000 years ago) had to handle protests with the military, mostly military slave soldiers who hated affronts to their beloved nation and leader, or mecenary soldiers, many of whom didn't speak the language. Capitalism, individual ownership of property and currency were all illegal in the People's Republic, but of course so were restrictions on free speech. The Great Leader hoped the mob would disperse and go home, for his sake and for the rest of his people.
"GO HOME, GODDAMN YOU, YOU'LL ACHIEVE NOTHING!" shouted Skorpion Inquisition Corps Commander Jimmy Ru into his bullhorn. His men, in infantry battle armor wielding their standard assault rifles stood at ready, preventing the crowd from crossing a hastily erected barrier made from scrap metal and old plywood. The Capitalists were mostly arrogant young people in their teens and 20s who felt that they were superior, that they deserved to better paid at work, and that they deserved to choose their own leader.
Own leader my ass, thought Jimmy. Nobody outside professional politicians, not to mention ignorant and idealistic children should be able to choose their own leaders. His job was merely to disperse the crowd.
"They're not going away, GreatLeader, I request permission to deal with these jackasses with extreme force" radioed Jimmy to the Leader's palace.
"Don't, only respond if they attack you, and even then, just to drive them back."
"Alright, affirmative."
As soon as Jimmy said that, a cinderblock slammed into his face. His lexan/polycarbonate visor protected him from any injury, but what just happened could be constituted as an attack. However, before Jimmy could give the order to fire, the crowd swarmed over the barrier, attacking the troops with bricks, bats, pipes and fists.
The Skorpions were forced back to their APCs and grav bikes. There, they clambered up onto the miniguns of their vehicles and opened fire. When the smoke cleared, 212 were dead and 49 were wounded.The rest of the capitalists were rounded up and executed a day later. This was a success for the People's Republic of MassPwnage, but little did the Great Leader notice the lone cameraman, who was in a position to tape the entire thing and place footage of the supression of the revolt onto his website...
