Just a little beyond the Moon's orbit, the space began to bubble and froth unlike anything seen before. This was not the hallmark of the rippling of a normal jump engine seen near Earth recently, but of something gone horribly wrong. As the bubbling died down, that something was revealed: A single ship.
At one time, the ship had been beautiful. It measured at 12 kilometers long and four wide. Its four warp nacelles provided it warp speeds for travel in short distances and its jump engine for travel over long distances. The outside of the ship had been plated in a nice gold to provide it a shine as it flew through space.
Now, the ship's warp nacelles were separate, their plasma beginning to react with them and causing them to explode as they neared the mine fields of Crazed Marines. The ship itself had several places where the plating was missing and a hole at the back, a fire raging where once the engine room was. And glance at the ship could tell it was going to crash on Earth and nothing much was going to stop it. Any scans of it revealed only the cryopods had power, and that would run out and forcibly eject those inside not too long after the ship crashed. No one was surprised when the ship entered Earth's atmosphere and began to descend.
The inhabitants on board did not know their ship had hit ground, as they were asleep. Nor did they feel it when, powered by the momentum it had picked up entering atmosphere combined with its size, the ship simply plowed through the first city it met, sparks flying as metal contacted metal and concrete. Their sleep was undisturbed by the path of desctruction, chaos, and death their dead vessel carved on its way to its chosen grave. They did not know of the four cities, with the fourth being the stopping point, reduced to ruins as the craft came to a stand still. It was not until the cryopods openned, bateries now extinguished, that they knew anything had gone wrong at all.
It took maybe five minutes for the crew, still trying to shake off the effects of their sleep, to discover the ship was unpowered and not at their destination. They did not know they were in a territory of the Island of Rose, having missed TIoR proper by sheer luck. They did know they were lost and sitting on a planet whose name and location they did not know.
OOC: TIoR, your call on what cities. And, people, this is open.

Prospergrad. A large city in Prospero 4, the largest Protectorate of the Island of Rose and larger then Rose proper. It wasn't the capital but it was one of the largest cities withen the Protectorate. But it would be destroyed today.
The people evaporated, they didn't even know they died, it was a flash. The buildings exploded, the cars blew up, the sun covered in death. And all because of a stupid accident. And now there was a spaceship and a giant crater just because of that stupid mistake.
An R/F-91, the Rosian fighter plane, was on patrol before the explosion. It saw the spaceship crash and of course it flew low towards the crater. But let me type out the conversation.
"This is F-7 to base, a large explosion has occured over what seems Prospergrad."
"Was it an attack?!"
"Negative, no bogies on my radar. Maybe it was from space."
"No it wasn't from space, our satellites are still working. It can't be from space."
"The smoke is clearing up... it looks like a spaceship."
Silence.
"Check it out, out."
The R/F-91 flew down towards the massive spaceship. "Holy..." F-7 said to himself. He did a few rounds around the spacecraft. "It looks like there's some life in there." He said while he had his IR Vision on. "I'm transmitting the exact coordinates, I recommend you get some units in there. I'll be heading back to base, out." The R/F-91 flew away.
Rosian International New Network Alert
"Prospergrad City in Prospero 4 has just been wiped off the map. It is told that the cause was a giant spacecraft. The nation of whom this spacecraft belongs to is unknown. Prosperen Militia is now surrounding the site with armor and men. We have Ronald on the scene, Ronald?"
The sound of a helicopter could be heard, the camer pointing straight at the scene, and the voice of an Englishman could be heard... too. "That's right. There are men approaching the spacecraft right now. Governer Haas Gonning" The Governer of Prospero 4. "Has issued a state of emergency. Supplies from both Rose proper and Prospero 4 are arriving and the search for survivors has begun. The situation is bleak for no survivors have been found but we hope to find some that can explain the story."
"Thank you."
T-90s and Humvees surrounded the site. Militiamen, armed with HK G36s, approached the strange craft. Reporters with oversized cameras and recorders watched the action. Rosians from all over the Commonwealth looked at their televisions. Have they discovered life? Were aliens real? Who knows.
But they would know soon.

Captain Hathor, the leader of the ship with over seven billion people on it, worked his way down the crowded hallways towards one of the airlocks. She tried to ignore the questions of the people around him. They looked dazed, unsure, partially panicky. The one thing she didn't need right now was a bunch of uninformed people panicking and causing massive amounts of death on her ship.
As she arrived at the door, she reached over and pushed a secret button. A panel, unpowered by the ship but still working, opened up to reveal a lever. Smiling at her ingenuity for requesting this feature, she pulled the lever and, trying to ignore the ship shaking a bit, watched the microexplosives detonate. The airlock door, now detached, simply fell off and plunked unceremoniously on the ground.
Hathor stepped outside, shielding her eyes with the sunlight, and stopped. All around her were what appeared to be her kind, only shorter, and several of them were carrying strange, gun-like devices. The other machines, some resembling familiar devices and other completely alien, she tried to ignore. Something about this was odd, but she couldn't place it.
"Where are we? Who are you? Which empire is this?" Hathor asked, not knowing her language would not be understood.
The ship rocked more as other explosions, the same as the one that opened her airlock, happened. She looked around, seeing the reactions of those who had greeted her, and wondered why they kept looking at her like that. Had they not seen a person in a white sleepsuit before? And why did they have to surround her people with soldiers?
She glanced briefly at the white platifiber suit, wondering if the pattern of fiber optic wires in it were the cause of them staring. The suit did not appear ripped. However, she was beginning to shiver, as were the rest who came out, at the air. They had not had access to the medical supplies due to those being destroyed in the same fire that took out the engine room, thus had not been able to take the required stimulant. Their bodies were dropping in temperature, but not enough to be dangerous and they would regain that heat within a few hours as their bodies adjusted and rebalanced.
"Are you even going to answer me?" Hathor asked, wondering why they had not answered in Sarkarasetan.

"What?" said one of the soldiers. The soldiers looked up at the massive craft. "What nation are you part of?" said another soldier. No answer. "I said what nation are you part of?!" His Sergeant thwapped him "They don't know english dumbass!"
A special Humvee arrived at the scene, out stepped Major Yanitz Horsh, leader of the local Militia. "All right, all right! Get these reporters out of here!" He looked up. "And shoot down the helicopter!" The helicopter then flew away like a baby. "Okay! Come on! Get these civvies outta here! Move it!"
The Major jumped down to the site, walking up and down the rocks. "My God..." He said to himself. "It's horrible... I'm glad my parents are the capital..." He shook his head. "Must maintain dignity." He whispered. "Okay men! Lower your weapons and go help secure the perimeter!"
Yanitz looked at the Captain. Damn she looks good. He thought. Yet this is the woman who killed an entire city. How ironic... well, she looks like the Captain. He cleared his throat, and walked towards her. At the same scanning the massive craft. He was amused yet saddened at the destruction, two feelings that normally didn't go hand in hand. They were more like aquatences. I think I spelled it wrong.
He sighed. "Are you the captain of this ship?"

Hathor blinked, having watched the whole scene. The language they were speaking... It sounded like one of the Ancient Tongues her people once spoke long ago that seemed to be quite common in the galaxy, yet she had no historian on the ship who spoke the tongue. At least, from her limited knowledge it sounded such, as she did not know enough of it to distinguish between a sound coincidence and a language coincidence.
"I'm sorry, I don't understand," Hathor said.
She felt a bit annoyed. With the ship as damaged as it is, she could not use the computer to try to establish a translation. Nor, from looking at the hole in its side, would repairs be possible without the advanced technologies of her people. Her people would not be going anywhere without help.
"We can't understand each other, yet we're stuck together. Well, to use the cliche, take me to your leader. If you can figure out what I am saying, anyway," Hathor said.
Hathor looked at her people and wondered what she was going to do with seven million people. They were leaderless and stranded on a planet that was obviously not their destination. And from the looks of things around here, these people were not exactly expecting the spot to be a landing zone.
"Alright people, try to line up and stick together. We're stuck on an alien planet with nothing but our clothes and a giant heap of scrap. If we're lucky, we can change that," Hathor shouted at her people.
They didn't exactly line up, but the small groupings from those who could hear her would do for now.

"Great, they don't know english and I don't know what they're saying." The Major mumbled.
A young Private ran up to the Major. "Sir!" The Major turned to him. "IR Scans indicate that there are around 7 Million life forms inside. Do you have any orders?" The Major raised his brow, crossing his arms. "Well sir?" The Major scratched his head, confused. This wasn't what he was trained for.
"Get blankets for them." He said. "Start getting some pre-fab houses up, food places ready. Standard aid procedures." The Private slammed his fist towards his chest, standard Rosian salute. He left. The Major turned towards the Captain. "Now you." He said to the Captain. "You need to get translated somehow."
He walked towards the craft and knocked on the hull. Klank klank klank. "Doesn't this damn thing have a translater?" He turned around and shouted towards the random soldiers. "Get me a linguist! Now!" He turned back to the Captain. "Habla espaniol? Latin? Deutchen? Francois? Russi? English? Something?!"

OOC: You'll find certain hints of their past and how I explain the multi Earth phenomenon in this. Also, I'm going to be posting what is actually heard when Hathor speaks, with a translation at the end.
IC:
Espanol was a word she recognized. Down through the centuries it had mutated from its original form, now mostly a word that meant "father", though the definition of it being a language still survived. But, what was he asking her? Did she have a father? Did she want a father? Did she speak the language? Hathor decided to stick with the language assumption.
"Te telet espanol," she said, shaking her head. (Translation: I don't speak Spanish.)
Hathor began to wonder. If she could establish their location, or at least that they are on a place they can be remotely familiar with. She decided to start with the simplest objects, using the names that, from what she heard, were close to universal.
Hathor pointed to the sun and asked, "Xalat Sol?" (Translation: Is that called Sol?)
She hoped this would help establish a line of communication. The kicking of her ship, which she took to be in frustration over the language barrier, had proved futile. At best, he might kick one of the thrusters into firing off the last of its fuel. At worst, he'd break a few bones.

Sol. The Major knew this word, sol. Sol was sun in spanish, but it was also the scientific name. The Major nodded. "Yes, the sun. Sol." He thought to himself. Maybe she knows Latin, damn I forgot my education. Let me try. He thought. He pointed to the ground. "La Terra." He said. "La Terra, Earth, La Terra." He sighed.
A Humvee rushed towards the craft, jumping and bumping and just plain going up and down. As soon as it hit the cratar the Humvee jumped up, crashed into the hull, dumping a small Private with glasses next to the Major. "Ow!" He shouted. He stood up, cleared his throat, gave a salute to the Major and started talking. "I'm that linguist you wanted."
The Major rolled his eyes. "Great." He mumbled. "Just stay here..." He turned to the Captain again. "Terra. You in Illa de Rosae. Illa de Rosae. Island of Rose, Island of Rose." He sighed. Damn, when are we going to get past this language barrier. He thought to himself.
Meanwhile small tents and medical facilities were being readied for the refugees. They'd need a place to live, and they just couldn't live in a broken ship, you know?

The Government of Evil Woody Thoughts wishes to aid The Island of Rose and the newcomers in whatever ways we can. We can ship a small amount of food and water to The Island of Rose for relief efforts.
Morever, we will be creating the world's largest artificial island very soon (ooc: will roleplay this in a few hours). The plans for this are in the link in my sig. Perhaps we can donate some of the land we create from our little project so the aliens have an oppurtunity to establish a nation here on Earth.

She was unable to pick up on most of what the strange man had said, but he sounded frustrated. What little she could pick up led to believe she was on one of the Earths, but she wasn't entirely sure of that. She looked over at the tents, smiling as she was handed a blanket, and noticed several of the Sarkarasetans, likely soldiers, had organized themselves into a form of a police force, though most of the mass was still unorganized.
Those that were organized had begun entering and exitting the ship, grabbing what supplies were salvagable. The fact one of the cargo holds was a burnt shell did not help their attempts, nor did the fact the ship itself had no power for checking the electronics to see what still worked. But, from the lack of electronic equipment being brought out and her own memories of what she saw, Hathor figured it was safe to assume electricity wasn't needed to tell. Whatever happened, the ship itself was left mostly useless.
Perhaps the greatest triumph of their efforts was someone finding an intact emergency medkit. The chemical analyzer inside, while only barely more advanced than the technology of wherever they had landed, would be enough to allow them to determine what chemicals they could be exposed to and what they couldn't. The chear that went up for this minor victory was, while not entirely appropriate, a sign to many that things would get better. Now, they needed to organize even more.
Hathor signalled one of the guards with a hand wave and, having his attention, pointed to a group of people and then the tents. He nodded, understanding, and walked over to the group. A couple minutes of talking later and they were walking over to the tents to help set them up. Next, she needed to begin organizing a government of sorts until they managed contact with one of the Empires. Sarkaraset or Sarkaraseta would be very interested in getting the ship, even in the condition it is in.
One group of Sarkarasetans, which Hathor remembered to be doctors, began to investigate the medical supplies, being careful not to contaminate them. While the medical supplies were obviously primitive compared to what they were used to, the fact they were here and sterile might mean the difference between life and death of the culture.
Finally, Hathor turned back to the man with glasses and looked at him. Was he a translator? Was he a linguist? Or was he something else? She did not know and wished to find out from how he spoke.
"Talenar se telet nonetamos?" Hathor asked. (Translation: Can you speak other languages?)

The linguist shook his head. "Major, I have no idea what he said."
The Major sighed. "Wonderful." He mumbled. He watched as the alien humans started becoming more organized. He smirked. Now they think this is their new home, great. He thought. He looked at the ship once more. They'll have to move that one day. He thought. He looked at the linguist. "Don't you have a device that gradually translates a language?"
The linguist nodded. "Yessir." He said. He took out the device. It was a box that you put around your neck with a headset. If would display simple words on the box and eventually she would be speaking full english through the headset. How does it work? It involves something with sound waves. Anyway it adds to the story. "Tell her to wear it."
The Major grabbed the box. "Pone esto, wear this." He said. He gestured putting it on and pointed at the Captain. "Put it on." He kept saying until she eventually did... which will be on the person's next post.

After listening to the strange man blabber on and on for a few minutes, Hathor finally gave in and put on the device, feeling silly wearing it. She tried to ignore the occasional giggle of people as they went by, knowing full well how she looked. That, and she suspected the device would attempt to translate.
"Se talenar aquat. Kortek novet teriados ne? Olas topa menos," Hathor said. (Translation: We have water. When should this ship be moved away? Maybe in the morning.)
She wondered how well the device worked, not knowing it was still analyzing her dialect of the language. Sadly, the translations the device was attempting so far came out to just garbage, though it did pick up "aquat" to mean "water" and mistranslated "menos" to mean "minus." But, beyond that, the device was without a clue.
She looked up as she heard several people struggling with a device. The device was the translator, which appeared to be in good shape despite its condition. The size of it, being around the size of a beer keg, was to allow for all of the storage memory for the translation program. The only problem was it needed power.
"Electricity ort," Hathor said, the device successfully translating "electricity" correctly. (Translation of "ort": needed.)

The Major raised his brow. "Electricity?" He turned around to see alot of Humvees, I can't say hundreds for that would be exagerating. Flash, brainstorm. "Get me a helo!" He shouted. "We're gonna use those cars for electricity!" And by a miracle of God, a Chinook arrived at the scene. It lowered its wrinch and started lifting the Humvees and placing it near the strange device.
The Major chuckled. Finally, maybe that's the translator. The Chinook went insane, going back and forth until 10 Humvees were near the device. He shouted. "Electricity!" As he pointed at the Humvees. "Transfer the electricity to the device!" He shouted. Maybe the language barrier could be broken.

Of course, the Sarkarasetans stood there and looked at the Major as though he was crazy. They knew as much about Earth technology as he did about their language. It wasn't until someone looked at the headlights that any of the Sarkarasetans figured it out.
Relayed orders by the one who figured out that the cars may have batteries, several Sarkarasetans approached the vehicles, looking around for tools. Then one of them looked over at one of the tents, got an idea, and motioned for the others to follow. The majority of the group followed, while one stayed behind with a Humvee and looked inside. Curious, he started manipulating the levers and buttons near the steering wheel, smiling when the hood popped open. He quickly walked from Humvee to Humvee, opening the hood on each, hoping his comrades found the tools they needed. He appeared relieved when they returned with a spool of copper wire and three sets of car tools.
Twenty minutes of clangs, grunting, occasional sound of metal being dented, and cutting wires later the batteries were removed from the vehicles, some of which would need repairs to various internal parts, and connected together by a series of copper wires, the end of one being attached to the strange barrel-like device and the end of another, being held by a Sarkarasetan who found a pair of metal gloves, about to be attached. As that final connection was made, the wire inserted into a small panel that was opened, the device began to glow a bit as several lights appeared on it. It was a surprisingly unimpressive display.
"Well, at least that is over. Now I won't have to keep using simple sentences in attempts to communicate," Hathor said, her words instantly translated into English by the Sarkarasetan machine.

The Major sighed in relief. "Finally. My name is Yanitz Horsh, I was the leader of the Militia that guarded Prospergrad City, but due to great crash onto our humble city, you basically wiped out every single living thing on this city. Luckily, the Militia was on exercise so we weren't affected."
He called over various Militiamen. Some had towels, others had weapons, some had medical equipment. The rest were there for protection. "These are my men. They'll help you settle down to where I suppose your home is. Here. That's right, you're stuck here."
An ROH-1 flew by. "Yes, now. I have a couple of questions for you. What nation do you represent? What is this thing? What the hell are those doing things? Who is the leader of this thing? And would you like to speak to the Governor of Prospero 4?"
He screened her. "Oh and can I have your number?"

The rest of are currently trying to figure out where they are, why we are here instead of our colony world, and how we are going to get home," Hathor said.
She paused, thinking. A leader? They were to choose that when they landed. But these people needed that now. And, as it was, she was the person they naturally turned to at this point.
"I guess I am the leader right now. And I should talk to your leader about what we are going to do now. My military identification number is two-nine-four-six-six-three-four-seven-four-two, but I don't see how that is going to help you. Oh, and I am sorry about your city, but we didn't exactly have a choice. Our engine core decided to explode and this ended up being where we came to land," Hathor said.
