With the new government in power Chile started i the construction of A whole section of Armen forces, and began selection for their special operations teams; the YM Yobbite Monks.
Monks are to be trained to be versatile and deadly. They will be taught many martial art forms as self-defense or target nutrilisation. Also they will be more than profficient in the use of the M16 assault rifle, the MP5a4 submachine gun. Specialists will be trained in sniper rifles, explosives or as a heavy support machine gunner. All will be trained in the HALO jump for dropping into enemy territory
This new highly effective special opperations section of the Chillian armed forces will be used in anti-terror operations, enemy infiltration and such situations.
The Chillian Navy is under a reconstruction, they are currently in the process of building naval shipyards where submarines can be built and docked and built all down the eastern coast; In Temuco, San Antonio and Anto fagasta.
The new submarines will be nuclear powered designed specifically for long patrol trips in the pacific. Two main subs have been designed, The great Yob class and Chancellor class. The chancellor class is a Ballistic missile submarine armed with multiple missiles of different strength and warhead size.
The great Yob class is an attack submarine armed with torpedoes and cruise missles and used to knock out enemy naval ships.
Whilst the submarines are being built a single aircraft carrier will be built for extra naval support.
The new airforce includes Mig 25's.
Finally the army is also undertaking a recruiting drive and updating their weapons to the famas as their normal assault rifle. Also the government is introducing target practice and a militia law that allows the government to call upon citizens to come to arms against invaders. There we be monthly local competitions to find the best marksmen.
The army is also in negotiation with the Union of Asian Socialist Republics regarding purchasing military ahrdware such as tanks and artillery.
