Iuthia - Religious Communities and their Views

Out of Character Forword about this thread: As I'm sure everyone has noticed by now there are many religious points of views being put across on a daily basis in the Nationstates forums from nations making their own religious proclaimations to outright oppresion. Basically making religion an active part of Nationstates.

In this thread is something which I intend to use for the opinions and statements from Iuthia's many religious communities who all have their own say on various matters, but do not get any real diplomatic say because the Iuthian government is not affiliated with any religion.

Often I will use it to make statements on various Nationstates religious matters which wouldn't normally be covered by the Iuthian Governments diplomacy... Iuthia has many religions so there is no shortage of situations to cover. Anyways, please remember that these statements are not made by the Iuthian Government, but instead they are public statements made in Iuthia by various religious representatives.

Thanks, and please don't spam as I intend to use this thread often and I will not be pleased if I have to call in a mod.

Official Statements from the Iuthian Christian Community

On the 'Cannonization' of Roger Fabus:

After a little bit of concideration we feel there must be several simple comments made in order to fully understand our position on this rather silly matter of affairs.

Firstly, we don't reckognise 'Pope' Thaller as being The Pope in our understanding of the Catholic faith, afterall, there is only one Pope in the world and that is Pope Leo XIV of Holy Vatican See, elected as Pope by many Cardinals from around the world. Only he has the authority, through a long process, to Cannonize individuals based on their life of teaching religion.

Seeing as Mr. Thaller isn't the pope, at least in our understanding, his actions as a pope cannot be recognised by the our own institutions and as such the title of "Saint" on Roger Fabus doesn't apply to our religion, Iuthian Catholics will not concider him a saint though I'm sure he's a good man in his own rights.

In anycase given that your faith is different from our own and isn't recognised as being the same institution we cannot really have any objection to your own faith calling Roger Fabus whatever you like, though we won't recognise any claims of the man being a saint and concider his "Gospel" to not be a part of our religious texts what-so ever. It isn't banned in Iuthia as the government doesn't like to get invovled in religious matters, however it would be, by law, labelled as your own version and as such not concidered relevent by the majority of Iuthian Christians.

We also note many of our brothers in other nations are taking strong offence to this, however we can't see any legitimacy to their claims so it's not a problem for us. Clearly the man who Cannonized him is not our Pope and so the man is clearly not a Saint and shouldn't be recognised as one...

On War:

We have noticed a large degree of wars taking place over many religious issues in the past and in some cases, the present. Clearly we cannot condone these wars as they are very un-christian and only serve to increase world suffering and animosity towards our noble faith.
