OOC: BTW, this is Earth II. I forgot to put that in earlier.

IC: Leutnant Hertz scrambled to his feet and unclipped his parachute. This was his second deployment in the last damn month. He cupped his hands and called for his company's commanding officer,

"Herr Wechsler!" he shouted, "Herr Wechsler!"

Hauptmann Wechsler emerged from a group of paras to Hertz' right, visibly angry, "What the hell do you want?"

"My apologies, Herr Wechsler. I was wondering where we are"

Wechsler was the only man in the unit with a GPS map, "We're about a mile and a half south-west of the city. We're off course and it's a wonder they didn't drop us in the damn sea!"

"Orders, Herr Wechsler?"

"CO says we head straight for the city, we didn't land in it like we were meant to, but it might be easier now that we're formed up. Anyone asks just show them your ID. They won't stop us if we have these faked passes"

OOC: Yeah, it's Earth II (Forgot to put that in), but no-one has Monaco. There's a guy who has France, but not Monaco.

I CHECKED this time :D

1802 hours, Palais du Prince, Monaco

Grappling hooks soared through the air, biting into the centuries-old stone of the clocktower. After a minute of climbing the wall, Leutnant Hertz pulled himself over the ramparts. He leaned over the wall and signalled the all clear.
Fifteen minutes later, the entire platoon was assembled. Hertz quietly called for his Unteroffizier (OOC: Sergeant), "Fruehauf, where are you?"

The heavily-built man approached his Leutnant, "Herr Hertz?"

"Fruehauf, split the men into fire-teams, we'll search the building that way"

Unteroffizier Fruehauf nodded, "Jawohl"

Hertz turned to a para, "You, find your team leader, you're with me"
-----
The door splintered under Fruehauf's boot as he kicked it in, panel by panel. The wood splintered, and finally the lock broke, it swung inwards, and the fire team rushed in. A thin-faced, balding man stood in the middle of the room, wearing only a pair of trousers and with a look of confusion on his face.

"Sprechen sie Deutsche?" queried Fruehauf.

"I do, but who the hell are you?"

Fruehauf smiled, and strode towards the Prince of Monaco, "Your arresting officer, Herr Pierre" he said, before slamming the butt of his StG88 into the Prince's stomach...

1935 hours, Palais du Prince

Oberst Model sat back in his chair, a cigar in one hand. Beside him, his Serene Highness, Prince Albert Alexandre Louis Pierre of Monaco sat upon another chair. Blood dripped from his broken nose and his left arm was cradled in a makeshift sling. A dressing-gown had been slung over his shoulders.

"Well" began Model, "It's a good thing that Unteroffizier Fruehauf didn't kill you, highness"

Fruehauf was stood behind them, a brand new Iron Cross hung from his neck, "He did attack me, Herr Model" (OOC: The Prince is actually a 1st Dan blackbelt in judo, but fighting for sport is very different to fighting to kill)

Oberst Model waved a hand dismissively, "Never mind, Fruehauf. Never mind..."

1034 hours, Palais du Prince Courtyard

Oberst Model stood on the steps of the Palais du Prince, megaphone in hand. Assembled in the courtyard before him stood nearly a two thousand people and four news crews. Oberleutnants Brenner, Krieger and Nachtmann stood behind him.

In front of them, standing at a podium at the top of the steps, Prince Albert of Monaco finished his abdication speech, officially transferring his rule to Kaiser Christian Gottschalk of Pergast. He finished his lines, and stepped back from the podium.

"Congratulations, Herr Pierre" said Model, slapping him on the back, "you've just earned lifelong anonymity for you and your family and a house in the Bahamas"

The now private citizen, Herr Albert Alexandre Louis Pierre didn't reply as he trudged back into the Palais...
