Today marked a new day in the worn town country, after several wars, and getting no where but...no where. The people of Verstummelung were fed up with the Furher and his generals. The army grunts, the field commanders and the average joe took to the streets, and overthrew the dictator and his staff, declairing the country free from a fascist state. The Republic of Verstummelung stands to rebuild what it had, the country started today by sending half of it's 45million soldiers home to their families after forced military service. The soldiers returned home, and those who did not were buried with full military honor under a new flag, a flag of protection, freedom, and justice.

More news from the Republic of Verstummelung!

Armed forces today, were shooken deeply. As officers from the Specials division were rounded up and thrown in prision awaiting trial for war crimes.

The Specials Division, were apart of Fuhur Harper's ideal for a clean, 100% perfect nation. Each Officer was responsable for weeding out cowards, and potential tratiors. They shot wounded persons, who still had the chance to live. They also partook in regular tortures and rapes of innocent civilians from Verstummelung and other country's.

The Specials Division at one point held 100,000 men, but after the recent conflict with Nazi nations, there numbers have gone down to less then 3000. Those 3000 have been taken to Herlinbein Prison camp, as they await trial.

Also, the government has disbanded the Youth core.
It was estimated, the Military Staff from Harper's regime planned to use those 1.4 million youths as a last line of defense against enemy soldiers. The Youth core saw little action, with more than 500 casualties in the battle for Ashlung.

Verstummelung's factories have also taken under consideration of a non military contract. Meaning they no long produce tanks, machineguns, and bombs to be used in war. It was estimated during the war 50% of Vertstummelung factories produced weapons. It is now that factories produce less than 10% of weapons or fighting vehicals.

The country's population of over 90million, stopped for a moment at noon sharp to remember all of the soldiers who did not return from this war, and others. Many war verterns have asked the government to produce a monument praising the soldier's for their sacrafice. It is expected the monument is to be built in the town of Ashlung, the heavyest of the fighting. The monument is of a Verstummelung soldier holding in his arm's another soldier from Verstummelung fatily wounded, and a tear coming from his eye's. The monument is to be constructed soon.

The country also begun to rebuild it's shatter economy, by building reuseable energy plants, and heavy recycling laws have been placed into effect. Today will be known in the country as, "Rememberence day."

The Phaestoi Confederacy welcomes the new Verstummelung Junta, but expresses concern at the treatment of the Specials Division and in the general demilitarisation of Verstummelung. As was seen in the recent Witzgall conflict, Verstummelung needs skilled warriors to protect her borders: though the Specials Division may have been somewhat overzealous in their task at times, should there not be some recognition of those who may have been the mortar which held Verstummelung together in troubled times?

Nevertheless, in the spirit of revitalising her allies in the wake of recent troubles, Phaestos offers unrestricted trade of any materials which we can supply, and which Verstummelung might need in the rebuilding process. The Phaestoi Confederacy also offers to dispatch a number of envoys from our city-states to act as advisors to the Junta with the aim of creating a more cohesive society and government.

The Specials Division, were Verstummelung Version of Hitler's SS (Super Soldiers,), so in most aspects those who have evidence of war crimes against them will be either imprisoned or executed. Those without any evidence, will be let free, if evidence against them were to arise those person's would be brought to trial.
