OOC: This is to legitimize my claim to Mauritania in Earth II, bear with me here.

Operation Felix executed flawlessly this afternoon as Sevarisian forces liberated Mauritania from years of oppressive dictatorial rule. The 2nd Para landed in and around Noukachott, losing only 15 men to gunfire. Key government buildings were taken, and our forces accepted the surrender of the local garrison around noon.

Other paratrooper regiments took key cities such as Bogue, Nouadhibou, Zouerat, Bir Moghrein, and Nema. Only around 75 soldiers total died during the initial campaign.

In Madrid, the news was greeted with enthusiastic cheers from the Mauritanian exile community. The news was greeted enthusiastically at Parliament as well, where it immediately approved $300 Billion USD in relief for Mauritania. Kaiser Alec has vowed to respect the rights of the Mauritanian people, and has pledged to hold free elections within six months' time.

Cotland welcomes the liberation, but would have rather seen it done peacefully. Anyway, we are going to donate 750,000,000 dollars in foreign aid to Mauritania.

The Emperor looked over the news brief, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Intelligence next to him. "Well it is obvious that Sevaris is most aggressive at the moment." He said.

"Yes sir. Aerial recon over the border shows that they are mobilizing to meet the Decisive Action threat. That is why we suggested you and you did comply, boost forces to REDCON 3." The Minister of Intelligent said.

"Sir, I understand that our position to Decisive Action is neutral in that we don't agree nor disagree with them but Sevarian presence on the border is most unnerving at this time. We perhaps should send an envoy to Decisive Action for the possibility of a loose and temporary alliance to country the Sevarian threat. Delaware is still of interest to us and most certainly this DMZ is a foolish way about this." The Minister of Foreign Affairs said.

"You are both right. Indeed we should. An envoy to DA will be sent immediately. If they so much as give us a minor reason we're going to act on it and put more firepower and troops into Delaware than their entire population. For the time being let's monitor the situation very carefully."
