Jarridia

OOC: This is a joint venture by ViZion and myself for land, power, elephants, slaves, and other stuff that makes rulers happy.

IC:

Palace of Zeus; Athens, Jarridia

Jarridius, the most powerful ruler of Jarridia, sat in his throne as his military advisor approached. The advisor bent down on one knee and bowed his head.

"Have you completed my task?" Jarridius said sternly.

"Yes, my liege. The troops that you have asked for preparation are ready." said the advisor in a calm and collected voice.

"Excellent, have we heard back from our allies in ViZion?" said Jarridius.

"Yes. The Emperor of ViZion has informed me that they will join us in our crusade into Africa, as long as they get a share of the spoils." said the advisor looking up slightly.

"Then so be it, " Jarridius said with a smirk on his face, he then stood up suddenly and pointed to the sky, "Our time has come! We will make Jarridia known throughout the world. The grand golden age of our glorious empire has begun!"

Jarridius walked swiftly out of the grand throne hall. Jarridia was to soon move out, before them lay the vast open land of Africa, full of necessary resources to insure their economic power in the Mediterranean, behind them was their beloved home, whom many would never see again.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Jarridia fully understands the implications of these mobilizations, and along with our ally ViZion, we will conquer what we will.

Current mobilization:

30,000 Spearmen
20,000 Horsemen
25,000 Archers
5,000 Catapults
5,000 Trebuchets
40,000 General Warriors
10,000 Hoplites
6,000 Elites
15,000 Experienced Swordsmen
200 Galleys

OOC: congrats on the 1000th post Jarridia!
IC:
The ViZionarian Conquistador, Edgar Botella, has ordered a message to be sent to the Jarridian Empire.

Jarridius, greetings from the ViZionarian Empire! We look foward to working with you to conquer the African city-states.

We will be transporting our troops through the waters, and joining up with your transports just off the coast of Greece. We will see you then.

The Conquisador handed the messanger boy the scroll containing the message, "This is an urgent message to the Jarridian leader, Jarridius. Get it there. Now."

The boy ran off to send it out via ship over, due to set sail in two hours.

(FYI: you can only go as far as the map shows lol. Oh, and Trebuchets and Cataputs are not regular units. In Roman times they were constructed on site (say at a seige) and even if you could use them as regular units, they would make your Army unbeleivably slow moving. Just a note :p )

OOC: Monganels (or however you spell them) can move on wheels and be pulled by people or animals, or they could be just loaded it. Basicly, they're movable... that's what I use... donno about Jarridia though..

this is true, but either way, pulling big catapults will slow you down imensly lol. Just saying that its easier to build them when needed rather then tow them along. Also, how far into africa do you go? because as it stands that map edges are the boundaries, anything else wont be reckognized. Sorry, but thems the breaks :(

Thats true one key thing to remember is outside of the Roman gains in Africa was largely Desert and although the Romans did have Desert outposts its not the type of thing you can control.like a roman army did.
