Attention Members of NATO,

It is with regret that the Incorporated States of Sarzonia announces that it too is resigning from NATO. We believe that the encumberances of responsibilities to several alliances have proven too great for us to reasonably handle. In addition, we must note our continued displeaure with an alliance that has infringed on individual member soverignty on several occasions. An alliance as significant as NATO is only as great as each member can make it. With the current set up, the alliance stifles discourse among the so-called rank and file countries. This situation we can no longer accept.

We wish the members of NATO well and we hope to establish unilateral relations with countries we would otherwise not be alinged with. We wish you Godspeed and hope that NATO again becomes the great alliance we know it has the potential of being.

We are saddened that you are leaving.

Good luck in the future.

We will always be allies.

Like our colleagues in Praetonia and Euroslavia, this decision to resign from NATO does not constitute a sudden shift in policy. Parliament has been debating the merits of Sarzonian membership in this alliance for quite some time.

Several factions of our government have advocated a more isolationist stance in foreign affairs. While we do not intend to pursue such a policy at this time, we have decided to scale back our committments to other countries to a more manageable level.

We would be more than willing to sign a formal alliance or non-aggression pact with Schultaria Prime and can send our Senior Vice President for External Affairs Mark Lorber to begin those negotiations.

We wish you well and we hope to foster a strong relationship between our countries.

Even though NATO's membership is being steadily chipped away by these resignations, the threats imposed by various fascist and imperialist international bodies are just as obvious today as they were months ago. Unfortunately without the aegis of a collective defensive body, these alliances will continue to grow and multiply while we remain fragmented and without any functioning method of supporting one another. While it might not be a collective of nations, we'll do our part to help support you in your time of need should it arise.

Directors Covey, Haarvekord, and I are currently involved in a Schultarian political event known as The Grand Meeting. We congratulate ouur freinds in Srazonia for taking this step to resign from a now defuct and weak allince. NATO is not the power it has been and now like a bloated creature it is falling apart.

We hope we will have more relations with Sarzonia.

I wouldn't call a few members leaving the 'demise' of NATO. NATO is still a strong alliance filled with alot of dedicated members, and to think otherwise is dangerous and stupid on your part. To think we are weak is even more stupid, and if you'd like to test that theory the Excessively Armed Empire would be more than willing to oblige.

Sarzonia is more than welcome back in NATO should they choose to rejoin after I personally institute some reforms within the NATO infrastructure. After these reforms are made, NATO will be better off than it ever was.

OOC: I find your statement to be extremely arrogant. The only reason you're saying these things is to provoke a strike from NATO upon the RWC, so that you can be justified in declaring war on them.
