IC:

A Shadow Battlecrab phased into existence from the murky depths of hyperspace a few kilometres from the Mole Homeworld. The massive glistening black shape sent a signal towards the planet alerting the moles to its arrival and purpose. It was here to pick up the MUSRUM unit for it’s masters, known now as the Shadows of Z’ha’dum, but formally as the Guilds of Earth, one of the Shadows had come with her to speak with these moles about something important. That’s all the Eye had told her, she trusted the Eye it pulsed its echo in her mind… it was comforting to know your masters were always watching. At least to her, now a creature whose entire existence was in serving her masters in their ultimate goal of the creation of controlled chaos to speed the course of species’ evolutions. She had once been a proud Guilder a high ranking member of the Guild of Genetics, she had volunteered to be first to control one of these ships, now she would never go back the senses were so much greater than anything in the universe could have and the power… oh the power… to destroy whole worlds and to enslave entire populations for the good of the galaxy… after all Chaos was the only way to the true peak of understanding.

She received a signal encrypted with the landing co-ordinates from the Mole homeworld, she calculated how best to achieve this in a nano-second and prepared to proceed to the co-ordinates.

(Translated from Vrari)

‘We are landing now, Mistress’ she echoed in her transport cavity.

‘Excellent, I will don my encounter suit then Brita’ the reply came back in her cargo’s feminine but haunting voice.

‘As you wish, Mistress’ Brita replied in her minds eye.

The huge shape descended into the atmostsphere, most races were terrified of the huge battlecrab since it looked like a creature out of a dark nightmare, it’s skin a stretch of shifting patterns it’s many appendices sticking out like tentacles but were in fact their to heavily decrease the energy concentration of laser based weapons hitting the creature. A large area had been allotted for the landing and the ship slowly floated down onto it as gracefully as a swallow despite its size. It proceeded to rest on it’s bottom appendices, a gaping hole filled with sheer black appeared in it’s side and a two red eyes could be seen coming closer, out of the hole towards the Mole reception delegation.

The Mole Grand Admiral, Trotter, was watching as the huge, scary, ship landed. He observed as the Group exited the ship.

He bowed as he said, 'Welcome to Moleland. Please give us the agreed price...'

The thing that steped out the creature was large black almost robotic looking creature, it's red eyes glowed and it's body was covered in a silvery black lined robe, which shimmered in the light.

Sound eminated from inside the suit and it was translated by the suit as 'The money is in the account as specified by yourself. I am here to see the MUSRUM is provided as ordered, I am also here to request an audience with a person of ranking within your Government on behalf of my nation, I believe we are commonly refered to as the Shadows.'

It stopped for a few seconds and turned to the ship. It seemed to be asking a question in it's language, then the ship replied audiably. If she had been looking the Moles were looking a little shifty at the talking ship...

The came a hiss and the head of the suit sunk down into the robe. Seconds later a woman emerged from inside the robe. 'Pardon me for the suit, we couldn't exactly trace your atmostsphere from above. It is standard for us to wear such material when meeting other races, but you appear to sufficently advanced for us not to need the formality of a suit. Besides the Shadowlord wishes to express his friendship to you, we have much to discuss...' she said in perfect molelish.

OOC: I am assuming your language is Moleish, Mole but you never know. :)

Ok... have fun.

OOC: Molish is the national language. Ok... i'm back!

IC: The Grand Adirmal was taken by surprise by the talking ship. But he had seen much as a captain onboard a MCD, a talking Ship though... That wa something knew.

'I'm afraid nobody is free at this time to speak with you.' He said in molish. 'We are entertaining other guests (OOC: TIN's Emperor).'. 'Also, Molish is such a hard language to speak. we prefer English, as this takes a fraction of the time to speak. We are honoured by your ability to speak our mother tongue' he said in English.
The GA Nodded to an officer. The officer pushed a button, a door of a nearby building opened, and the MUSRUM stepped out. It marched at a steady pace, making a loud clank as its heavy feet hit the metal landing pad.
'i'm sorry to leave, but I have many duties to attend to.' Said the GA, he turned to his officers, and they followed him as he left the MUSRUM. He turned back and passed a datapad to the 'shadow' delegate, 'I almost forgot. This is how to command your MUSRUM' He passed them a small transmitter, 'Hook this up to your computer, it will help you command the MUSRUM' The moles left MUSRUM alone.

OOC: The datapad says
The MUSRUM MK6 is a heavily armoured killing Machine. It has a rocket laucher in his right arm, and a fusion cutter in his left. We recommend you use it against enemy infantry, as it will wipe them out! It has limited effectiveness against armour, and will strongly recommend that is kept away from enemy air units, as it is very slow. It has 90mm(Penitration of conventional modern armour (as in modern tech)) rockets. It has armour 750cm (Modern conventional armour) plating

Commanding your MUSRUM

There are two methods, verbal and Electronic.

The Electronic Method means you give the MUSRUM Complex missions or information. Unless the mission is aborted, or failed, the MUSRUM will never stop attempting to complete the mission. You can also tell it tactical information (tell to aim at a particular weakspot on an enemy etc). Ir will nto forgot Electronic orders. The MUSRUM will do nothing while it is recieving Electronic orders. It will take 30 seconds to process most orders. The MUSRUM will also talk to you mostly by this menas.

Verbal orders are a lot quickier, but must be much more simple. It has 5 basic commands:- Attack, Defend, Stand Fire, Hold Fire and Follow. They Must be given by an officer senior in rank then the one giving the last verbal order (or the same rank). The orders mean

ATTACK= The MUSRUM will scan for enemies. Any detected will be chased until they are destroyed (or the MUSRUM IS)

DEFEND= The MUSRUM will assign itself a defencive perimeter around the area the order was given. If any enemies come within range of this area, they will be fired at until they move out of the perimeter or are destroyed.

STAND FIRE= The MUSRUM will ignore enemies and stand still, unless they attack it. If they do, it will return fire until tehy are destroyed. It will also chase them.

HOLD FIRE= The MUSRUM will ignore enemies, even if under attack.

FOLLOW= The MUSRUM will by default switched to STAND FIRE unless told otherwise (EG: 'Hold fire and follow!'). The MUSRUM will follow the Officer that gave the order until a new order is given, or the MUSRUM is destroyed (For rapid movement, select HOLD FIRE and FOLLOW order).

OOC: I forgot about TIN's little Honeymoon, I wonder if VE is still being silent.

The woman sighed 'That is fine with me, it is hard language to speak I admit, a credit to you I must say' she said in accented English.

She gestured towards the ship and said 'If you would be so kind as to put the unit into the hole, the ship will take it from there'

'Now, I understand you have other business however my business does not permit me to leave here until I can speak with a representative of your Government, I have some questions to ask and a proposition for them. I would be willing to wait until they were ready, but unfortunately I am required to sort a pressing situation in one of our enslaved worlds... it seems there has been a 'mis-understanding' as regards the terms of their servitude and the Council of 7 has requested my presence in dealin with the matter. But I can delay this for a few days, but I am sure any other guests you had would understand a slight increment on your Governments time in dealing with us' she said as she stared at the Mole with the usual Guilder predatorial grin hopefully making her point for her.

The GA turned back and said, 'I'll speak to King Mole. he may have some time for you. You have the datapad, use it to find a way to order to move there (i'll RP it).'

The GA had a long conversation...

'Now that wasn't very accomodating, my dear. You must learn some tact and some manners' she pouted.

She checked the datapad... 'Awfully primitive instructions don't you think?' she asked the Mole... 'No, don't answer that, i'll do it.' She tapped out the Follow Command and preceeded to walk into the hole, which proceeded to open wider as to allow the MUSRUM entrance.
Moleland
01-12-2004, 15:25
OOC: You have to shout it, unless yu use a computer. I'll assume you did.

IC: On hearing the 'Follow' command the MUSRUM replied, 'Moving into position' in a mechanical voice. It then followed her into the ship.

The GA apologised, 'Sorry miss, but I was talking to security. It appears you can see him, as long as you only wish to talk for a few hours.'
The Merchant Guilds
01-12-2004, 15:30
OOC: Yeah, I used the computer.

She promply shouted at it to Hold Fire as per the instructions in the datapad and then walked out. The opening closing behind her into the solid pitch black shining skin of the Battlecrab.

She recieved the Mole's apologies graciously, 'That is fine, I only need a short time to speak to him'

'May I ask who your other guest is out of curiousity, he must be someone of great importance in the Galatic scheme of things to merit such treatment by a powerful race, such as your own...' she asked the GA.
Moleland
01-12-2004, 15:33
'I'm not permitted to give out that information. He is a national leader though.'

As the MUSRUM entered the building, it stopped, in a kind of sleep, awaiting further commands.

The GA contiued, 'Follow me this way, you must travel alone though, as the King has very few troops on duty... Security I mean...'
The Merchant Guilds
01-12-2004, 15:41
OOC: A building? The things as big as a building but it's a living organism... :P

IC:

'Oh, a national leader... that narrows it down considerably, i'm sure the Talon will have some idea when I get home, anyway...' she said.

She didn't like the way these moles kept the secrets from her, if this nation had been any different or less powerful, she would have called in the 10 Battlecrabs with full Spitfire compliment sitting dimensionally cloaked between first level hyperspace and normal space, to subdue it's people to the Shadows will. She however retained her calm exterior... no sense in angering these people, we have enough wars at the moment with having to commit a thousand battlecrabs and millions of Dryal to fighting a mis-understanding.

'My dear, Mole... I am hardly going to bring her' indicating the ship... 'I am alone, she isn't much company anyway her head is filled with only chaos and commands. But yes shall we go?' she retorted.

The Grand Admiral lead the way into a shuttle which took them deeper into Baddieland. A huge Mountain Loomed over the horizion, 'See that?' Asked the gA, 'That's where we are going.'
The Merchant Guilds

Dureena clasped her hands together in happiness 'How beautifully evil looking' she excitedly chirped up. Focusing for a second, she captured the image into her brain to be put onto a nice bit of photo-optic fibre paper for her wall. 'I wish we had one so pretty on Z'ha'dum, but alas we have only red dusty moutains' she sighed...

The mole didn't seem to share the same feeling... 'No appreciation, these moles... they haven't seen entire armies ripped to shreds by Dryal nor have they seen what happens when a Death Ray hits a city, they lack an element of having seen that, thus gaining appreciation for beauty and life.' she thought to herself...

She continued staring at the scene before her.
Moleland
01-12-2004, 16:05
As they approached, the Pilot sent a messege to the mountain. Suddenly, the side of the large half (It is split in two) opened up. It was the landing bay. the shuttles wings folded up, as the landing thrusters ingaged.

When the landing had finished, the door opened, revealing black surroundings of the brown Earth the mountain was made from. There was a small transport waiting for her, along with an escort of what looked like MUSRUMs, but they looked different, although it was not obvious why.
The Merchant Guilds
01-12-2004, 16:15
Dureena smiled, 'An excellent use of technology, perhaps these Moles deserve more than I credited them for' she thought to herself.

When she daintly got out and past the two MUSRUM look-a-like Robots, something was just different about them... they didn't strike her in the same way that primitive MUSRUM she had loaded up into Brita. She burned the image of them into her brain for further use, the Talon would be interested in that certainly their Technology Acquisition Section would, which might well mean the Talon might attempt to steal one or two of these new units. They had done it many times before, they would be likely to do it again.

She stepped aboard the small transport again, he heel clanged against the floor... 'Shouldn't wear these kind of shoes on these missions, but I bought them from a Guild Slavemaster, who had taken them from some former-Royal Queen he had sold to her as a Concubine' she thought to herself.
Moleland
01-12-2004, 16:20
The GA realised that she had never seen these before, 'These Are MUSRUM MK7s. They are roughly the same, apart from they have even thickier armour, and are fitted with a 30mm devastater Rocket laucher for close range. Shall we proceed?'

This was a sillly Question. He knew what the answer was. They proceeded along a long section of tunnels inside the mountain, each tunnel looking the same, apart form the obvious security, which got even heavier as they approached their destination. The GA had keep produceing cards and other things to pass.

At last they reached a huge door...
The Merchant Guilds
01-12-2004, 16:28
OOC: No, I wanna go home... :P j/k

IC:

'Ah, they are interesting... we don't specialise in Robotics unlike yourselves, we prefer to create organic creatures, where slaves can't do the job to our liking' she said... admiring the MK 7's... still the Talon would be interested, probably more so now...

After all the security measures, Dureena was feeling a little tired but made no apparent sign of this...

They reached the huge doors and she admired the craftmanship of them...

'These are wonderfully made, I must say, I might have to get smaller copies made, but they remind of the doors to Shadowlord Stra'coths Palace only with the massive mural's and freezes on the walls' she commented.

'Shall we go beyond then?' she asked the Mole.
Moleland
01-12-2004, 16:33
'You can. I must leave you. feel free to go through he is waiting for you...'

Beyond the doors, she saw a elderly Mole, nto like the young GA. His fur was Grey, his body hudled over, is body was tired. However, A quick glance at his eyes revealed why he was so popular with the people. His eyes showed a excellant mind, that buzzed with ideas, even at his age.

The King noticed her and said, 'Good day child. What can I do for you?'

'Your majesty, I have been sent here to request a response to some requests from our Shadowlord. I will not keep long from your esteemed guests.' she said.

'Before, I start our Lord wishes you to answer a simple question, 'What do you want?', be as simple as you like with the answer but we must know your answer to this question before we can continue' she stated as her eyes turned from her beautiful normal eyes to those of a cold-blooded killer.

Dureena looked at King Mole...

'Excellent diplomatic reply, your Majesty, but what do the Moles really want, what do you really want in all the universe?'

She awaited his answer...
Moleland
03-12-2004, 12:54
The King stood up from his throne. This gave Dureena the chance to scan the room. This room was as plain as the rest of the mountain. However, there were two flags in the corner, which had Gold poles,a nd the flag necrusted with jewels. A banner hung bettween them with the nation Motto Made of gold. The throne- plain, and looked as though it was an after thought.

However, looking at the middle, a pair of yellow eyes sat there, staring back... or were they? Was it just an illusion?

Before she could decide, King Mole spoke, 'Moles are happy at this time. Our population continues to grow, but we have enough space to live. Moleland is full, most of it's resources, exhausted, but othe rplanets supply our needs, and indeed do other races. We also want power and wealth, both of which we have at this time. Let me show you something...'

Hw walked over to a table, and pushed a button. Instantly, a 3-D map of Mole Space appeared from the top, and rotated around the room.

Dureena grinned that grin again.

'Truely excellent technology King Mole, we applaud your technological wisdom. Thank you for telling me what you truely want, we understand your concerns we ourselves have been expanding ever since we came to Z'ha'dum. We have taken four systems thus far, we had planned to take a fifth but a small rebellion on a world caused us to have to divert the Dryal there' she stated.

'If you would like to expand we would be willing to help you in return for a favour, we may ask of you at any time' she again stated through that grin.

'I have been authorised to show you our territory so you understand. May I?' she asked in a whisper.

The captain smiled. He walked over to the door, and pushed a few buttons, and it opened. An officer approached him, and had a short onversation a language the other two did not understand.

'It appears King Mole wishes to see me to.'

The three entered the room, and were confronted by a swirling hologram of Mole space, and a woman sitting in a chair...

Dureena started slightly, automatically reaching down into her black silken clothes for a poisoned throwing star. But she resisted the tempting urge of pulling one out and throwing it at the throat of the intruder...

She recovered herself, 'And who or what may I say are you?' she asked the strange party in front of her...

Dureena relaxed a little bit.

'First, I will introduce myself. I am Dureena Nafeel, an Ambassador from the Shadows of Z'ha'dum discussing some business with King Mole, may I ask who you are? Although, I think i've seen the symbol before somewhere... probably in the Talon's records...' she asked the strange man and woman before her.

'This is about to get interesting... perhaps we could intergrate this man and woman into our discussions' she thought to herself.

CaptainStriker just stared back. He didn't know either.

Luckily, King Mole was on the ball. 'May I introduce his Highnesses, The Emperor of The Imperial Navy and his wife.' he turned to Dureena, 'And this Dureena from the Shadows. You are here earlier than expected, Captain...'

'Sorry, your holiness, it was not intentional...' The Captain replied, grovelling.
'Do not worry. I am not angry. Now, what was I talking about?'
The Merchant Guilds
03-12-2004, 13:10
Dureena realised in an instant her mistake, this was the Emperor of The Imperial Navy... she needed to show him some respect for he deserved it... his was a nation of true chaos much like her own...

She curtseyed before the Emperor and his wife, then said 'I am honoured to meet on behalf of myself and The Shadows. We were discussing matters of mutual interest, but I see no reason why you should become involved if you would like to stay, but I would not want to interrupt your honeymoon'

The view flickered and then changed to a different section of the Galaxy out on the very edge. World was marked Reds and the others marked green and some others on the outset of screen were marked blue.

'The red indicate the worlds, which we already own, a total of five systems. The text indicates Z'ha'dum, our homeworld. The green indicate worlds, which we will conquer unless objection is raised here on a good grounding. Blue indicates world's we have no interest in. Dureena grinned. 'My offical business here is over, however I would like to offer my heart-felt congratulations on your marriage Emperor and Empress, also to your promotion, Vice Admiral.'

'I also wish to inform you that both of you are welcome to trade in Shadow occupied space, please alert your merchants/traders to that. We will be more than happy to deal with them.'

She undid part of her dress slightly enough to show off a near enough perfect body in order to get at something a pocket. She rummaged a bit and got it out eventually. It was a small box, she handed it to King Mole.

'It contains a very rare element known as Quantium 40, it can be used to access Hyperspace, which is a very fast form of travel, take it as a present from us for your co-operation'

She turned to the Empress and removed a magnificantly jeweled broach and offered it to her. 'An overdue wedding present on behalf of the Shadows, Empress, may you live long and bear many children'.

King Mole Was pleased with the thought but said, 'We already can access hyperspace. Nevermind, it is the thought that counts.'

'Sir, what are my new duties?' Vice-admiral Striker asked.

'The same. I am old, you wil ake a great King one day. if you continue the way you go, you shall be. I promise. return to your ship, and patrol Waste of space sector. I hear we were attacked there... also, that is dead in the centre of our space.'

'Thank you sir' the captain turned to the the emperor, 'I do not deserve such a medal, I did only my duty. Now, may i take back to your ships?'

Dureena made her goodbyes and assurances and continued back the way she had come to the Shadow vessel.

She was relieved to see it's black glistening bulk, she entered into the space she now shared with the MUSRUM unit.

(Translated from Vrari)

'Where to now, Mistress?' asked Brita.

'Z'ha'dum, Brita we are going home... I need the attentions of one of my concubines...'

'Yes, Mistress' Brita said.

The huge black vessel took off as gracefully as it had landed and with mental scream left the atmostsphere and phased into hyperspace followed by the 10 Battlecrabs, who had been waiting in the event of a bad eventuality... back to the dark world of Z'ha'dum...

The Vice Admiral led the three out of the room, and closed the door again, leaving the king alone... Or so it seemed... those eyes...

An officer approached them, he Salauted the Vice Admiral and said, 'I have been told to take our Sahdow guess to her ship.'
'Very well. Good bye Dureena. It was nice seeing you. I hope to meet again one day.' He led the other two away, leaving Dureena with the officer (TIN go back to original thread)
The officer said, 'Miss please board the transport...'
