The Island of Rose
01-12-2004, 01:05
General Alexander Roska (http://www.calguard.ca.gov/ia/kuzmuk.gif), the Rosian Minister of Defense got on the podium to answer many questions.
One reporter started. "Alexander, what are the reforms planned?"
Alexander cleared his throat. "We plan to lower the Air Force into an Air Corp consisting of 1,850 planes instead of the 10,000 we had. These will be the new statistics."
A screen dropped, showing the new Air Corp.
700 R/F-91s (F/A-91 renamed)
300 R/B-91s (F/B-91 renamed)
75 RAH-1s (Hind renamed)
150 RLAH-1s (Cobra Attack Helicopters renamed)
50 RCP-1s (C-17 renamed)
200 ROH-1s (Blackhawk renamed)
300 RSH-1s (Little Bird renamed)
75 RHB-1s (B-52 renamed)
The reporters gasped, Alexander continued. "As you can see, the Air Corp will now function as a Defense Force and as a mild attack force in Roman conflicts. Next question."
"What is with the recent Naval buildup?" another reporter said.
"You see." Alexander said. "The Commonwealth is a growing Naval power, we are just reaffirming this. Next question."
The first reporter asked another question. "What will happen to the leftovers?"
Alexander cleared his throat. "They will be distributed among the Protectorates, they will not be for sell. Next question."
A third reporter. "What is this special project that seems to rumor around?"
Alexander chuckled, he gave out a smirk. "I guess we can tell you. We plan to build an artificial Island the size of the largest Hawaiian Island." The reporters gasped, one shouted |And what will it house?!|. Alexander replied. "A Home Fleet consisting of 600 Hamptonian-built ships."
Half of the room fainted, the others were left with their jaws hanging. "I know this will be a hard thing to build. But we are welcoming foreign investment into the project. We even plan to build a few more if it is successful. This will free up the ports for trade."
A fourth reporter. "How will the fleets be housed? Will they stay in their usual ports? Those that are now with us I mean."
Alexander smiled. "Ah. The fleets will wonder International waters. So nations, if you see a Rosian fleet, we're either busy with wargames, or just passing by. Why fear us? And yes, some will actually be housed on the Island."
The room chuckled. "Yes. And if you wanted to know, we will have a navy of 2,675 ships. We plan to have this by 20 (NS) years. Any more questions?"
Silence.
"No? Then this conference is over."
They left.
((OOC: Feel free to criticize, give me money to build the island, support me. All that crap. Oh and question me >_>))
