The Seeds of Rebellion.... [FT RP ATTEN: Balrogga]

Cam III

There has been a past of rebellion in Cam III, it had been thought that it was eradicated. But it now seems it was not, there is a new group calling them selves The Sons of Honsou. Honsou is a traitor and a follower of the Dark Gods, and only the high ranks of The Prosperen High Command knew about him. He was rumered to be living in amongst the Balroggian colony. But that rumer has not been proved. He has now taken it upon himself to kill a thousand Prosperens in a terrorist attack on a trade ship. The Sons of Honsou have captured 5 Battle Barges along with corrupting a whole company of Angels of Darkness. The 4th company are hiden on Prospero, waiting for the right moment to seize The Palace of Cam III. The Battle Barges are heading towards the Balroggian colony....

The Star Stryke:
Honsou paced the bridge, he was worried. He knew he was being followed, but the ship had not attacked, why?
"Cam III knows of our postion, why has he not ordered a full strike upon us?" He asked his second-in-command, Forrix.
"I do not know, if the ship does attack us then we can defeat it."
"It's not that, you know Cam III as well as I do, he should have destroyed us by now. It worrys me, I sense something that I never sensed before."
"I would not worry about, we shall soon have the Balroggians to help." Forrix reassured his lord.
"Yes, how long untill we arrive at out destination?" Honsou asked one of his men.
"We are arriving now!"
"Good, patch me through to the leader."

This is Honsou, I am currently stationed near your planet. I have an offer for you to ponder. How would you like to rule this area of space, side-by-side with me? I can make it happen, all you need to do is support me in any way you can. I could talk to you in person if it would please you. I require an answer soon, this will be our only chance.

Your friend,

Honsou.

After a few minutes a message was sent in reply:

“This is Space Tower Command, please hold position while we clear a docking vector for your shuttle to approach. Your message is being sent to the Emperor. If he agrees to see you, an audience will be arranged.”
Cam III

We shall hold here, and send a shuttle to land when we have the go ahead. I'm sure that your Emperor will agree with us.

A servant entered the chambers of the Emperor. He approached Nhur-Galladu where he sat in contemplation and kneeled, waiting for the signal to speak.

After a few minutes the Emperor turned his face towards the waiting servant.

“Yes?”

“Sire, a message just arrived from Prospero 4.”

The servant reached out his hand and placed the envelope upon the red silk pillow before his ruler. He backed away.

Nhur-Galladu reached out and took the envelope and opened it. Taking the paper out, he quickly read the message.

“Ready the Serendipity.”

“Yes Sire!”

The servant hurried out of the room.

One Hour Later:

The Serendipity emerged from T-Space along with the Imperial Royal Fleet. The Dreadnaught flew down and docked with the Space Tower while the fleet took defensive position.

Thirty Minutes Later:

“You are cleared to send your shuttle craft. There will be a guard waiting to escort you after you land.”
Cam III

The shuttle left the Star Stryke, within were 5 renegade Space Marines and Honsou. They all wore Tactical Dreadnought Armour (TDA). Wiithin minutes the ThunderHawk had reached the Tower and was docking. Eventully the 6 Marines left the shuttle and walked into the bay....

The Space Marines exited the shuttle to find two Imperial Guards in their white and gold armour. They led the six through a maze of corridors and finally stopped outside two large doors. The two guards turned and stepped to either side of the doors. The doors open slightly and a woman dressed in the Court Robes of the Empire stepped into the entryway before the six marines and spoke:

“Only two may enter these doors. Choose carefully and enter. The Emperor is ready to hear you.”

She stepped to the side and with a wave the doors began to open revealing a richly decorated chamber. There was a single man seated upon a large pillow at the other end. A tall figure stood next to him and seemed to be speaking to the seated man.

The Imperial Guards stood by alert for any sign of treachery.

Honosu turned to his Marines, he pointed to one and said "You will come, the rest of you shall go back to the ship."
"As you willl." They said in unison.
Honsou walked with the other Marine, named Ulsaran, into the chamber. They were taken aback by it's magnificence. The two Marines in their Black power armour with red trims. Honsou had the Scroll of the Ancients neatly etched into his armour, it had been infused with the Dark Powers and and a blue glow to it. Ulsaran had nothing on his power armour, bar hundreds of HtI's etched into the armour. HtI stands for Honsou the Immortal.
The two Angels of Death walked up to the two men....

IC: Harbringer of Doom:
Two Terminators in dark armour decorated with bone trim marched into the bridge, each carrying a long, wide-bladed scythe. Their helmets were carved to resemble screaming skulls, which evoked much terror in their enemies. The Terminators took up postion either side of a throne made out of bones as a winged skeleton, no larger than a child, flapped into the bridge on fragile-looking wings with thin, membranous remenats of tattered vestements fluttering between each of it's wing bones. It settles upon the throne and squatted there, silently regarding the crew around it. Brass wire glittered at its joints and there was a tiny suspenser generator attached to the spine between its wings.
A tall figure, clad in armour of bone entered the bridge. His movements were slow and unhurried, every step considered and solemn. His breastplate was formed from long ribs, bent and fashioned into shape, the Imperial eagle at it's centre as skeletal as the winged familiar that watched the proccedings below. Every piece of this warrior's armour, from the greaves to the vambrace, cuissart and gorget was formed from bone. He carried a gigantic scythe, its blade silvered and sharp, the haft gleaming ebony.
Cam III had entered the bridge. His long, silver hair was tied in numerous crystal-wrapped braids reaching to the small of his back and his coal-dark skin resembeled a lunar landscape, cratered and ridged with numberless wrinkles. A long, forked white beard fell to His waist, waxed into sharp points.
The crew around him did not turn to watch the proceedings, to do so was to domm thenselves. They carried on working, taking the ISSD into orbit around Prospero. The ship held orbit, waiting for the rest of the fleel. While they waited ten Thunderhawks left the ship and headed to the planet, to the capitol: Tarsis Ultra.
Eventully the reached it and swooped over the buildings, Captain Ventris was on board the lead Thunderhawk and saw burning near the Palace of Peace. He motioned for the pilot to head over there to see what was going on. The other Thunderhawks headed back to the Harbringer of Doom. The black Thunderhawk reached the now obvious fires, there were many. The ship dropped lower so that Ventris could see the comotion below, thousnads of Angels of Darkness lined the streets killing citazens left right and centre.
"What the hell! Take us down over there!" Ventris shouted to the pilot, pointing to the lawns of the Palace of Peace.
"There are too many people!" The pilot protested.
"Kill them!"
The Thunderhawk swooped down and the retros incinerated at least 15 people before the rest scattered. The Thunderhawk touched down, hundreds of projectiles were aimed at it, from Space Marines to citezans. Ventris walked out and spoke to the people, in a booming voice, "What is going on!? Return to your homes!" He turned to his squad by his side, "Start firing on my command."
The rebellion has begun...

OOC: Yes, I started it early, all part of my master plan. This will be the talky thread, I shall create one for the action, of you get what I mean....

Nhur-Galladu motioned his advisor away with a wave of his hand. He looked up at his guests.

“Yow may approach and tell me this plan of yours.”

As the two approached the Emperor in their armor, the advisor contacted the Ta,Nar who were waiting in adjacent rooms. They scanned and probed using the most subtle psi they possessed.

“Master, the Ta’Nar are ready. They will be examined most carefully as you ordered.”

OOC:

Please use red text to indicate anything that may be read my the Ta'Nar who are using their Psionics to "examing"the two
Cam III

OOC: Thoughts I presume?

IC: Honsou was about to speak but then thought, This could be a trap, they could have psycics around. Well, I'd better be careful. Honsou's two companions could hear this aswell. One replied, We should be ok, explain the plan and we leave! Easy. We'd better close our minds though.. All three of them put their training to the test, they closed their minds. This would hopefully stop any thought reading....
Honsou stepped forward and looked at the man sitting in front of him, 'Your majesty, I come to you for help. How would you like to rule this system, without the interferrence of Cam III? If you could help me you can!'
'My plan is simple, my warriors have started the rebellion. They have cut off the capitol from the rest of the world, it can't send messages to any ship. Within the day I shall have control. When that happens I shall require your help. Together we shall destroy the ISSD in orbit and then expand our power to the rest of the world, then the system. What say you?'
Balrogga
06-12-2004, 13:13
"Together we can destroy the ISSD?"

Nhur-Galladu chuckled.

"I could have destroyed all ships in the system but I have not had a reason to do so. I could have left Prospero a burning wreck but I dont have a reason to. I couls have destroyed every citizen in this system but I have not had a reason. Why would I have one now?"

Nhur-Galladu looked Honsou in the eye and waited for an answer.

OOC:

If your sheilds work against the Ta'Nar it is up to you. I TG'ed you with some details.

OOC: If you want assistance in taking out that big ISSD you know who to call.

We wouldnt do anything direct, but we have two ISDs under our control (we stole them from Cam in our civil war) and have fought the thing, so we may have quite a lot of schematic detail/intel that could be useful.

Naturally Orange state wouldnt actually intervene directly but would sit and watch with great amusement.
Cam III
06-12-2004, 19:21
OOC: OS, you may help Honsou if you want, just post saying you contatced him.... (If you want.)

IC: Honsou stalled for a moment, How could this being insult Prospero's defences?! I will not let this stand, after the rebellion I shall kill this being!
'You could not have destroyed Prospero! Anyway, don't you want more space to expand your Empire? And if you help you will! I shall let you have the other planets, except Prospero. Think about it, it can happen!'

"You could not have destroyed Prospero! Anyway, don't you want more space to expand your Empire? And if you help you will! I shall let you have the other planets, except Prospero. Think about it, it can happen!"

Nhur-Galladu chuckled to himself. He touched a hidden button and a holo projector sprang into life. The display showed the planets of the Titan System and the effects of Phase One and Phase Two. The planet that was the subject of Phase Three was hurtling outsystem in the distance with digital readings displayed showing the rapidly freezing world. The four ships and their escort of six frigates were waiting in orbit around Titan itself.

"Those experiments were carried out by the same three ships that have been stationed here for so many years without any modifications. Sephrioth irritated me so I conducted experiments upon his unneeded worlds. He already lost two fleets without The Empire suffering a single casuality."

"Why should I fight to conquer a whole system when there are plenty of uninhabited systemss to be discovered? What can you offer to sweeten the pot, as the saying goes on Earth?"
Cam III
07-12-2004, 19:45
This being is smart, I don't think I can persuade him.
Honsou, turned and walked towards the door, 'You are right, I do not need your help. I shall conquer this system myself.' He had reached the door, the other Space Marines ahd arrived there, 'But know one thing, you shall be the first I shall kill!' With that he walked out and headed towards his shuttle...

OOC: Up to you what you do now, the rebellion will go on so you can intervene if you want.....
Orange state
08-12-2004, 22:55
OOC: Orange state is staying uninvolved for now, I will post a small and secure message sent to Honsou by an small anonymous "trader". He will be a hireling and so not actually from Orange state. It's up to Honsou if he takes it, but all links to Orange state will be conclealed. I assume some of my spies have detected something going on. I have a few links in Cam as my nation likes to know what you are up to. But they arent particularly great, they are more just normal people who give us updates on the news and things available to the common man, and perhaps the mid level civil servant. ie nothing that would affect us at war, but perhaps enough to warn me if you are mobilizing troops. I assume one had a lucky break and ended up working with Honsou and knows that way as there is no way they would find out otherwise.

IC: The trader flew through space, his small freighter had a couple of escorts, one of Places of Darkness state origin and one ex dated fighter from somewhere outside the region, he was middle aged human with a small amount of bionic implants visible, on obvious replacing a few bits of brain, probably lost during an encounter with pirates. He wasnt getting directly paid by Orange state for this, but instead had been isntructed to sell the information to Honsou, and was to keep the money he made. All he had to doi was sell it and retire. But to keep him from selling to the wrong people, he also knew that the fighter behind him carrier a military grade kinetic missile, just one. It wasnt much but the fighter could easily fire it straight through his ship by pulling up behind him and firing at point blank range. He wouldnt cheat Orange state. Or he would die. On returning home, he would then receive another five millon Orange state dollars for allowing the information to be wiped, if the logs showed any records of copying to anyone but Honsou, he would executed. It was secure and the bionics had the info saved where he couldnt get it...

He flew into Cam space and plotted a course for Honsou's vessel.

OOC: the idea is that they are old second hand anti piraate ships and are not military grade, the point is that he could be any other merchant tradert and there is no proof of anything.

It's up to you if he is stopped, but the idea is that he doesnt have anything Cam can detect by normal policing methods and that he will fly to Honsou. If he isnt stopped. Tell me and I will post his hail to Honsou.

'But know one thing, you shall be the first I shall kill!' With that he walked out and headed towards his shuttle...

Nhur-Galladu chuckled again. It hasn't been the first time someone threatened him and it won't be the last. He sent a communications to all Ta'Nar:

"Probe them for every bit of info you can get without them knowing. I want to know what their mother had for lunch. I don't want them to know what we know. Use stealth."

"Even though you threatened to kill me, I grant you free passage to your shuttle. The next time we meet will be our last, by your own words. Either change your attitude or leave my sight. I won't ally myself with those who cannot show patience beyond a few words. You need to practice self control and restraint. If you don't, even if you do win your little war, you will not hold office for long. Your doom is set by your own hands. The choice is yours. Either prove you are worthy or get the hell out of my sight."

Nhur-Galladu prepaired his personal shields in case they acted stupid, and sent a message to the Imperial Fleet both in Real Space and the ships waiting in T-Space.

"Prepair the fleet for action. Talks are going downhill. Allow the shuttle to dock with their ship and leave, but if they take any other actions open fire. Use all available Ta'Nar to gather intelligence of their fleet activities. I want to know their actions before they do themselves."

After the "guests" are out of earshot Nhur-Galladu turnd to his advisor.

"Get me a connection to Lord Cam immediately. Tell him to expect me immediately. This cannot wait for polite fiddle-fucking."
Cam III
09-12-2004, 19:55
Honsou stopped, sensing something, something weak, like someone was probing his mind. His warriors stopped aswell, drawing chainswords.
'Wait. Go back to the shuttle, I shall talk once more with this being.'
'Yes my lord!' They both said in perfect unison.
Honsou swiftly entered the chamber again, smashing a guard to the floor. 'You dare to probe my mind?! That it is the greatest offence you can commit.'
'I give you one more chance, think about this! Will you join me? I shall await your response.' Before Nhur-Galladu could respond, Honsou was out of the chamber. He started to sprint, voxing to his squad to launch the shuttle. He arrived at the shuttle as it was about to leave and dived into the open door...

Within minutes the shuttle had arrived at it's mothership. Honsou headed to the bridge, through corridors full of mutants and slaves. He stormed onto the bridge and shouted, 'Weapons ready, if we are fired upon fire back!'
A organic/bionic warrior turned to Honsou and reported, 'There is a small ship incoming. It is flanked by another, TPoD we think but can't be sure.' (If I wont know it's TPoD, ignore the last sentance.) Honsou was glaring at the picture on screen, the planet he shall soon destroy....

A voice resounded within Honsou’s mind. The intensity was almost painful and his teeth seemed to vibrate with the power of the voice..

“If I wanted to probe your mind you would be a vegetable quivering upon the floor of your bridge. Your mind would be blasted beyond the skill of your most talented Psychic Surgeon’s ability to repair. Don’t threaten me and don’t underestimate me either. That will be your downfall.”

Honsou could “feel” the message was a broadcast aimed at him, not a probe.

“Besides, you invaded the sanctity of my palace with your marines trained to look for every bit of security. I was responding in kind. You still have a chance to sweeten the pot. Don't blow it.”
Cam III
10-12-2004, 19:38

"Sweeten the pot" What do you mean?

Message from The Serendipity - coded and secure:

If you want to try bribing someone you make sure they need what you are offering. The Empire has many systems under our control. We don't need this system, our presence here is enough. We are not interested in real estate.

A quiet wisper, almost like Honsou's own thoughts echoed within his mind.

Make it worth my time

OOC: Don't worry ;).

IC: How to make it worth his time? The rebellion has started, they will need me. Screw him! Honsou turned to his helmsmen, 'Full speed to Prospero!'
'Aye, m'lord!'
The ship took off back to Prospero, closly followed by the loyal Cam III ship....

Can sat on his throne aboard The Harbinger of Doom. He was reading a cryptic message sent from Prospero IV.

I have something of utmost importance to discuss with you that cannot wait for the polite fiddle-fucking of diplomats. Expect my arrival immediately.

~Nhur-Galladu

Cam was reading the message through a second time in an attempt to get more information out of the words. Suddenly about 10 meters in front of him Cam noticed a thin red line appear in mid air. The crimson hair pulsed with energy and quickly opened like an eye, exposing the chaos of energies beyond. A figure appeared within the vortex and floated out of the aperture, crimson lightning jumping from the form of the visitor to the energized vortex behind. The hyperspace portal closed.

The figure turned towards Cam who assumed a defensive posture. Two hands reached up to the cowl of the robes and pulled it back, revealing the person’s face. Nhur-Galladu stood before Cam III, a look of urgency upon his face. He looked around the room at the servants and guards.

“We need to talk, alone!”
Cam III
17-12-2004, 20:01
Cam III relaxed as soon as he recognized Nhur-Galladu, he turned to the men in the room, 'Leave, now! All of you!'
His bodyguards turned to him, 'Us? This could be a trick.'
'I can handle myself! LEAVE!' With their lord's command, they left. Leaving Cam III and Nhur-Galladu alone....
'You need to talk?'
Balrogga
21-12-2004, 05:54
Nhur-Galladu watched as the Elite Guards left the room. He knew they were far from being alone because Cam is not a fool. He would take his welfare very seriously above all else. He would not have survived as long as he has if he was not.

The Emperor approached the seat of Lord Cam and bowed his head in respect. He was in Cam’s territory and would offer all the respect he was due according to etiquette.

“It seems I just had a visit from one of your illustrious citizens.”

“I have with me all the data logs and surveillance footage to back up what I am about to say. Please take them and examine them at your leisure.”

Nhur-Galladu took them out of a fold of his robes and handed them to Cam.

“A few hours ago a small fleet of ships approached the colony and broadcast a signal indicating they had something important to propose. The message was relayed to me because of the suspicious nature and I decided to attend the meeting in person.”

He pushed a button and the message was played:

This is Honsou, I am currently stationed near your planet. I have an offer for you to ponder. How would you like to rule this area of space, side-by-side with me? Your friend,

Honsou.

“When The Serendipity arrived the ships were still waiting. A meeting was arranged. I met with someone named Honsou. He wanted the Empire to help over throw you.”

Nhur-Galladu again manipulated the device.

'Your majesty, I come to you for help.

“I made a mistake and told him I didn’t need help to carry out his plan. I was hoping to show I was to powerful to be an enemy but I guess it made them afraid to have me as an “ally”. They left soon afterwards as I was still taunting them to make me an offer. We are currently tracking their ships, I believe.”

“I felt it was very important to inform you of this immediately and grabbed a Conduit as soon as I was sure of your location.”

Nhur-Galladu waited a few seconds.

“How may we help our oldest ally?”
